I've been jacking cars, I won't be counting dollars, I'll be racking stars
Date of Scene: 20 November 2019
Location: Two Bridges (Chinatown), Manhattan
Synopsis: Interpol Agent Chun-Li commandeers a Transformer, with the holomater avatar owner still in it
Cast of Characters: Jazz, Chun-Li

Jazz has posed:
Holomatter Avatars were a wonderful thing. They enabled Cybertronians like Jazz to explore a world like Earth as if they were a native. There were so many senses, and some of Jazz's favourites were the sense of smell and taste. He was currently coming out of Peking Duck House, having tried the food. He derived no nutrients from them, and had to expel them in the bathroom, but it was a wonderful experience.

He was currently appearing to be a well dressed African American human, wearing a white coat, black pants, and a sky blue shirt, with red being a highlight colour that tied the ensemble all together. He pulled out a keychain, pressing a button, which unlocked the Porsche parked outside.

Another man had been running, sprinting really, and moved past Jazz's avatar, nearly knocking him down, before he jumped on a red motorcycle and zoomed off. With a shake of his head, Jazz asked aloud, "where's he going in such a hurry?"

Chun-Li has posed:
Someone is rushing after the man who is running, glaring as she notes 'Jazz' miss the chance to get after him and she spins around on him. The woman's hair stops moving for a moment as she stands up straight and takes a breath before looking at the porche and then looking to 'Jazz' again. She reaches for his keys while pulling out another object. A badge is whipped out and she states, "I am Agent Chun-Li of Interpol and I need your vehicle. Official business."

She then will attempt to whip inside, start it up and look out to say, "Sorry." Before she'll try to race off after the motorcyle.

Jazz has posed:
Jazz, in this identity, was known as Benjamin S. Cruthers. He had identification and everything. He even had a pretty damn good cover story. He'd done his homework to create the identity, social insurance number, and everything. The keys were tossed to the cop, though as she slipped into the driver's seat, he effortlessly slipped into the passenger seat. He was quick, surprisingly quick, as he was actually seated before she was, so she could hardly fault him for slowing her down. But if she wanted to catch the criminal, she was going to have to take him. "Name's Cruthers, Benjamin Cruthers. Watch the gears, they're smooth as glass." This thing was a high performance vehicle. If Chun-Li weren't careful, it'd drive her rather than her driving it.

Chun-Li has posed:
A blink at the man getting in and she looked back briefly to confirm he wasn't also standing behind her. Few were so fast as to catch her off guard. She shakes it off though as she simply puts it in gear and rushes off, "I am sure..." She mutters about this. Men and their toys. She sighs and pulls into traffic fast, following after the bike with all speed. She looks briefly over to him and then looks ahead, "You should nto be in the vehicle. This is police business." She nods her head, "And it would be very dangerous for you to be here. Keep your head down and be careful." She nods her head, "He might be armed."

Jazz has posed:
In a straight up race, this Porsche would destroy that motorcycle. But this isn't a straight up race. There's traffic. And a motorcycle is better equipped to weave through traffic than any car. Fortunately, this car can get into pretty much any opening in the traffic. Jazz sends a transmission to the Ark, asking for some help. Moments later, they will have an unseen hand ensuring that every light in their path is green. The motorcycle could just run the red light, but the Porsche would have more trouble with that for the same reason.

Jazz was also doing what he could to help out in the moment, like undergoing partial transformation to make himself a bit more narrow. "Yeah, but if I wasn't in the vehicle, you couldn't do this." And he tapped at a console, which rotated, revealing a console underneath. "Why don't you go ahead and push the blue button. Trust me."

Chun-Li has posed:
Eyes on the road, Chun-Li is pretty good. She's, after all, a trained police officer and pretty generally agile. Of course, it helps that Jazz is also a transformer. All the same, she blinks over at the man befor she looks ahead, "I don't have time for..." She looks at the button and then looks at him before looking ahead, "If this is some kind of illegal modification, telling me about it in order to help me isn't exaclty a good diea. I am a cop." She then sighs and shakes her head before reaching out and pushing the button.

Jazz has posed:
Well, Benjamin S. Cruthers might be in trouble now. When the button is pressed, a compartment opens up, very much of the James Bond variety. This one sends a device hurtling through the air, faster than the Porsche, faster than the motorcycle. It looks simple enough. Just looks like some straps. Except when the motorcycle drives over them, even swerving to try and avoid it, it makes it difficult for the wheels to spin, slowing it down enough that catching it is fairly straight forward, without risking the life of the driver.

"So am I," Jazz offers, opening his shirt to reveal his badge. It says that he's part of the National Security Agency, "but this ain't my jurisdiction. Show's all yours, Agent Xiang." He then closes the jacket. That one wasn't part of his cover. Hopefully she doesn't try to delve much deeper into it.

Chun-Li has posed:
A blink as she notices what happens and hten looks over at Benjamin before looking forward, "Since when did the NSA get this stuff?" She sighs and shakes her head as she drives the vehicle directly into the path of the motorcycle and easily spins it sideways to a stop and gets out to look at the motorcyclist. When the man on the motorcycle is forced off, he comes running right at Chun-Li only to catch a foot to the face and then catch the ground. She shakes her head as she looks back to Benjamin, "Thanks for the assist." She states and nods her haed, "Though...I'm somewhat curious as to what NSA is doing just hhanging around here." She walks over to pull out handcuffs and start cuffing the guy.

Jazz has posed:
Benjamin got out of the vehicle once it was stopped. There were no dents in the Porsche. Surprising, given standard construction. Everything was supposed to be light and easy to puncture. Those safety features that were so prevalent these days. But this one didn't have a scratch on it. She must have hit the bike just right.

"Trust me, the pleasure was all mine. Oh, this, yeah, I'm with special projects, and it's my day off. Just had lunch at Peking Duck House. Great food there. You wanna try it sometime?"

Chun-Li has posed:
A look at the car and she hmms before she looks over to Benjamin, "Special projects...?" She then nods her head a little and is now quite suspicious to be honest. It's not incredibly important but she's a cop after all. A dtective really. She pulls out her phone to call for a street cop to come to this location in order to pick up the perp and bring him in. She then looks to Benjamin, "That car bulletproof or something?" She asks and hmms as she looks over the spot.

Jazz has posed:
"Yeah, why, were you thinking of trying to shoot at it?" He was trying to play it cool, and he was usually good at it, but now he was wondering if he had tipped his hand. "Are you going to head back with the local cops, or did you want to go for a drive? Trust me, it's a lot more fun when you're not trying to catch a criminal." He smiled at her, doing his best to sell it.

Chun-Li has posed:
A nod and she looks at the car before she blinks at him. SHe shifts slightly and then states, "I don't exactly need a ride but..." She hmms a little as she looks him over and steps closer to him with a smile, "Listen, you seem like a nice guy, Benjamin but..." She nods her head, "I'm already seeing someone." She nods again.

Jazz has posed:
Benjamin wasn't after that, so he took it well, "not a problem. Offer's still out there." He didn't seem the least bit phased, almost as if he genuinely had no romantic interest in her. Little did she know he was actually the avatar of an alien life form, a mechanical one at that.

Chun-Li has posed:
A sigh escapes her and then she nods, "Sure." She smiles at him before she looks over at the car, "Don't get me wrong. Nice car." She nods to him, "But yeah, sorry." She shrugs, "Kind of a new thing, would really rather not get into it." She nods her head, "Either way, it has been fun, Benjamin."

Jazz has posed:
Benjamin gave her a curious look. He had moved on, was past it, hadn't even brought it up. She still had the keys, so he hoped back into the passenger side. As she continued to apologise and talk about it, while saying she didn't want to get into it, Benjamin helpfully offered, "hey, I just met you. And yeah, I can see how you might have taken it differently, but I'm really just interested in a nice drive. Interpol right," he said, remembering her organization, and suggests, "I hear the office in Metropolis is pretty great, and I got a great sound system in here."

Chun-Li has posed:
A roll of her eyes and she shakes her head, "You know that this doesn't mean anything..." She nods her head, "But I gotta sit there." She settles into the seat again and looks over at him with a smirk< "I'll still enjoy the drive though." She points at him and then shrugs as she starts the car and then starts driving off, "I'd be lying if driving this car wasn't fun."

Jazz has posed:
"I know." Then, deciding it'll be the best way to get her past this, he says, "You're stunning and all, but you're not really my type. I'm actually gay." As she begins to drive through New York, heading east towards Queens if she's going to take them to Metropolis, as the quickest way is through Queens, then Nassau County, up through Queensland Park, and then into New Troy, downtown Metropolis proper. The other way was through a hell of a lot of Manhattan gridlock, then through Westchester County, Park Ridge, and then across to New Troy. As the car drives, he turns on some tunes, starting with Life is a Highway by Tom Cochrane, and next up will be Shut Up and Drive by Rhianna.
