On Earthbound Cybertronians
Date of Scene: 24 March 2020
Location: Legion Cruiser - Ship Interior
Synopsis: Lar and Drake discuss the matter at hand with Imra.
Cast of Characters: Mon-El, Slipstream, Saturn Girl

Mon-El has posed:
The news has been buzzing lately on Earth about massive metal monstrosities that can change shape and look like Sentinels. Okay they don't really look like Sentinels, but Sentinels are the closest thing most Terrans can think of, so that's what they're getting called.

Drake and Lar have returned to the cruiser to hopefully find some of the other Legionnaires, so that more discussions could be had on what exactly to do next...

Slipstream has posed:
"I'm telling you Lar. I want a talking Mustang. That is awesome. I was just talking to a mechanic about buying one actually. One from the sixties. They call it a Fastback GT. It is seriously the greatest car in the world. Totally vintage. Leather seats. Cassette tape. Manual tranny. V8." Drake says as he gives another long stretch of his body to work out a few kinks.

"Anyways, you said you kinda know about these Cybertrons? I take it the future computer has a record of them and what not? I didn't get a chance to get a good look at this Blurr dude though. That was all Brin. But I can try my best to track it."

Saturn Girl has posed:
Imra is sitting at a computer screen with something playing in front of her. There appears to be a man wearing a tuxedo with a handful of roses. In front of him are a small group of women, dressed nicely, waiting to see if he selected them to remain. No rose and they are gone.

As soon as she hears someone entering, she quickly pushes a button on the console and the picture is replaced with a schematic of something on the ship itself which she begins to consider critically as though the solution to world peace might be found within. Then she glances over her shoulder casually as though she wasn't doing anything amiss when they entered.

Mon-El has posed:
"Uh-huh..." Lar says vaguely in response to Drake's raving about the Fastback GT. He doesn't really know what he's talking about but kind of pretends to until he actually gets back on the matter at hand. "They're a race of cybernetic beings. Basically AI advanced enough to be sentient. COMPUTO used their physiology as a basis to build that crazy nanotech body of his. They've been at war with each other for millions of years, and have a reputation for razing civilizations unfortunate enough to happen upon them to the ground." he says with a frown. "That's why they've been blacklisted by most other spacefaring races. The sane ones, anyway."

His eyes go toward Imra. "Imra." he greets. Oh, he probably heard what she was watching from a ways off, but doesn't bother bringing it up this time. "Think you could look for any Terrans who might have seen this...other Cybertronian? Or even interacted with him. If Lockdown doesn't know what this 'cylinder' is, then maybe he does."

Slipstream has posed:
"Don't pretend like you know what I'm talking about. You obviously don't know what a Fastback GT is. If you did, you'd have one." Drake says as he bumps his shoulder against his.

Too bad he couldn't see what Imra was watching. That would have been a hilarious conversation. "Heeeeey Imra." He drawls out to her with a grin. "To be honest, I think he's lying. He's a bounty hunter, they're designed to be deceptive. Whatever is in that cylinder is crazy valuable for someone who's willing to pay a super robot to track this guy down and most likely EMP him."

Saturn Girl has posed:
"I can see if I can find any reports. Cybertronians here? It seems a bit far from their usual grounds but we don't want to take any chances." Imra pushes a few keys on the computer panel, bringing up a search engine that is far beyond this century. Thankfully it can search for things that the usual methods might overlook.

She types in specific information then begins scanning through the results that are immediately on her screen. "Seems there have been a few comments here and there. Social media mostly with people claiming to have seen a giant robot. There are also a few things that sound like they could be a holomatter avatar used by a Cybertronian."

Mon-El has posed:
"I considered that idea." Lar responds to Drake's suspicion. "We don't know much about this Lockdown guy, and I could think of multiple reasons why he might be lying to us about what does and doesn't know. Although he does seem to be more open to discussing than the other guy. I'm just worried about the -reason- no one wants to tell us what that object is."

He goes over to the screen where Imra is performing the search. "Hm, think you could pay any of these people a visit and see what they have to say?" Or, you know, what they think.

Slipstream has posed:
"I mean, if I was a trained and exceptional liar, I'd say whatever I want knowing I could twist people's minds and get them to second guess second guessing me." Drake says as he flops down into a chair next to Imra. "But, if you're going into the field, I could tag along. Make sure you got back up."

Saturn Girl has posed:
"I could certainly try. Is there something specific I'm looking for? You have mentioned this Lockdown so is that the one or is there another?" Imra asks curiously as she sets the computer to tracking down where each post or bit of information originated from, so there will be a list of people for her to seek out and speak to.

"Should I investigate this Lockdown as well? I should be able to read the mind of a Cybertronian."

Mon-El has posed:
"There was a report on the news yesterday about the...altercation in Manhattan. You'd be looking for the one that escaped into the subway tunnels. Lockdown referred to him as 'Blurr'." Lar informs her. "I'm not sure how long he's been around here, but it's possible a few people have seen him or interacted with him."

He turns to Drake. "Hm, I think maybe it would be best for you to focus on finding out more about Lockdown, since you were the first one to talk to him. You mentioned being suspicious of the veracity of his claims, so I'm giving you permission to go digging." Wink. "Of course, if you see any evidence of this uh, 'Blurr' character, don't hesitate to investigate or let us know."

Slipstream has posed:
"I am only suspicious because he's a talking robot with a laser canon arm and he's a bounty hunter. That screams sketch to me. I don't know how much help I'll be though getting more intel on him. Not like there's a robot Wikipedia on these dudes." Drake furrows his brows. "Unless your future computer does, then that would be both easy and cheating. I'll do my best though."

"Wiki what?" She glances around at Drake then types in Wikipedia to find out for herself. "Hm. No. No futuristic Wikipedia but we do have files on their species you could access if you liked."
