Superman has posed:
Food and Clark Kent have a strange relationship. Does he need it? No. Absolutely not. Literally, he doesn't really need food. Then why does he eat? Sometimes it makes him feel more human. Just doing a day to day thing everyone does. However, the taste of food makes these actions a borderline hobby.

A new habit has taken shape lately. When things bothered him, he used to fly up into the clouds or out of the atmosphere. Watch the world turn. See how silent and beautiful it is. With the increase of space travelers, it's hard to get that moment's peace. To be allowed a chance to scream, be sad or anything else. These travelers can take notice and that could be bad.

And that's what caused him to drift into this new habit. Humans eat their emotions. With this coping mechanism, humans are allowed to be sad. They may be slow with the food or devour it. A choice gets to make, if emotions don't make it for him. It's a strange comfort.

This is why Clark Kent is sitting along in a both. A half-eaten Double Belly Buster, with extra ketchup, sits in front of him. And to say he's nursing his fries would be a gross overstatement. It's far slower than nursing. That's the joy of this location, too. Most of the people he knows are in Metropolis. So unless someone -knows- where he's at, the chances of running into someone he knows is no. It' just never zero...
Firestar has posed:
Humans eat when they are relieved too. Angelica is looking at her phone as she turns into the restaurant. She swipes the sceen and smirks a little,"A-. Beats an F." she mutters,"Philosphy can suck an egg."

She looks over those gathered and does recognize a familiar face in the busy place. There seats at the counter of course, but she opts to walk over and speak to Clark a moment before finding her seat.

"Hello Mr. Kent." she offers politely as she draws near,"I saw you from the entrance and didn't want to not at least come by to say hi. How are you?"
Superman has posed:
That's the surprising part, Clark doesn't notice her. If he heard cries of help, those would snap him out of his thoughts. Thinking -no one- would notice him out here, he allows himself to not pay attention. Yes, he can hear people come and go, it's backgrond noise to him. Something that can be ignored in rare moments like this one.

Clark startles from his thoughts, making a small, "Ahhh!" Dull blue eyes look toward th person responsible. "Miss Jones," he greets her. A finger makes sure his glasses are on. "How are you?"

He tries to compose himself. The words come out a little shakier than he intends. "What brings you here?" he gives a soft smile.
Firestar has posed:
She watches him and his reaction. She isn't an expert on such things, but tending towards the introverted side she understands getting one's wits about them. She stays an easy distance away and tells him,"I am well. Call me Angelica please." she adds.

Looking around the place she hmms,"I was just thinking I survived the semester, nothing lower than an A-, and I might need to celebrate with something non alcoholic that will make me regret it later."
Superman has posed:
"Triple Bacon Belly. Once on the lips, forever on the hips, with a side of regret later," he offers friendly. It's just a triple cheeseburger with a metaphorical mountain of bacon.

"Congratlations on survival. What will you do after this regret?" he poses, a little curious her plans. Also, Clark hopes she actually enjoys life outside of the mask.
Firestar has posed:
A smirk and she nods,"That sounds just about right. Maybe chase it with a dark chocolate milk shake or something." she agrees. She looks at her hips and raises a brow,"I mean, I have been told I need to update my style a little anyway so.." She shrugs.

The mention of survival and plans and she admits,"I plan to not open any book that isn't some smutty romance or magic detective tale. Never stop learning, but once in a while a girl needs a break."
Superman has posed:
A nod comes from Clark, "That's what you ned to do. Give your brain a rest. It'll allows a fresh set of eyes," he comments. Honestly, he gives the same leecture to Kara.

"Well, if you want company. You can join me," he offers again. Dull blue eyes watch her curously. He's not sure if ths is a grab and go, or a lazy, I don't have plans, arrival.
Firestar has posed:
"Mine could use it. After the first of the year they are going to let me test out of some of the required work to maybe expedite my degree work. I've had...considerable study in Physics long before I arrived here."

He would know that most likely, but she tells him anyway. The invite to sit and join him gets a smile and she takes a seat,"Thank you for the invitation. I hate to eat alone. This many people around, but not knowing a soul is alone in it's way. It can be too much really."
Superman has posed:
"So, what will you do when evrything's expidited?" He asks curiously for a moment. Curious how she wiill handle everything when it's all over. Dull blue eyes take her all the little detals.

"That is rough," he admits. It's kind of hard for everyone. "You're welcome to join me. I will admit, I'm kind of dull company," he says honestly. Clark is fine being absolutely dull.
Firestar has posed:
"Oh there are some classes I will have to take. Several yet. If I can save a few thousand dollars on some classes I will. Once I get a Bachelors I will probably look to teach Physics. For high school that will require additional classes, but for college I just need to have the degree. Probably I will get a masters while teaching entry level physics at a college if possible."

She smiles a little and tells him,"You're fine company Mr. Kent. I am not exactly a ball of energy bouncing off the walls and screaming into the night or anything. Easy conversation with furthur expectation goes a long way."
Superman has posed:
"Any place you hope to go?" Clark asks softly as he looks at her. Dull blue eyes focus for a moment as he tries think of places she could go and ask. "Well, Bruce Wayne has various funding programs for school. You can get scholarshps and similar," h says just lettng hr think on that since she will have to keeep going. Plus, Bruce may have a special flag on Angelica's applications. She didn't need to know that.
Firestar has posed:
"Before recent events I would have been inclined to stay with Xavier's, but that's life. If I could get on at NYU or ESU that would be great." she replies.

Listening to him talk about Bruce Wayne and his funding programs,"A scholarship or two more wouldn't hurt. It would save on the student loans. So far I have managed to avoid them, but furthur study will cost more. I have heard Mr. Wayne's name around. I never thought to ask about that. Thank you for the information."
Superman has posed:
"Would you go back?" Clark asks referring to Xavier's. He did appreciate their mission statement. In some ways, he felt like the statement aligned with personal beliefs.

"Yes. Put in an application," Clark says knowing Bruce will do everythng he can to green light the application. "What else do you do Miss Angelica?" he asks using a compromise on the name. "Where do you hope to see yourself in seven years?"
Firestar has posed:
"I wouldn't object, but it's not my first choice." she tells him seriously. She is a lot cooler about things than she was.

She gets a pen from her bag and starts taking a few notes on a napkin. She gets a few details down. She considers the question and replies,"Hopefully working with some good friends. Hopefully teaching somewhere. Maybe married. Kids are not likely any time soon. Not sure I am suited for that."
