Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Pink Ranger, Mon-El

Pink Ranger has posed:
When people think of Olympic gymnasts, the idea of controlled diets and very specific approaches to lifestyle... so spotting Kimberly Hart at a place like this was...unexpected. Still, given she spent this morning being attacked by alien bird monsters during her jog in the park? Well, it made sense that she wanted a little personal reward-slash-junkfood therapy.
Mon-El has posed:
Hell's Kitchen wasn't exactly the nicest place on Earth to hang out, but it sure was a hotbed for trouble. The kind of place where the police often needed a little (or a lot) of help.

And Lar doesn't exactly -need- food, but...still, food was tasty. And Earth cuisine was pretty good, too. Even the 'dubious' kinds are better than some of the -other- things he's seen on less...fortunate planets.

Upon entering the establishment though, he notices how exhausted a certain young woman standing in front of him in line looks, and steps forward, offering to pay it forward.
Pink Ranger has posed:
A blink as Kimberly's steps to secure herself a soda and a snack are claimed before she can fish the wallet out of the purse on her shoulder, the brunette turns towards Lar, lifting a hand.

"Oh uh...thanks?" she offers, a little taken aback.

"If I was holding the line up I..." she begins before exhaling and trying once more. "Thank you."
Mon-El has posed:
Lar chuckles. "No no, you just looked like you had a long day, that's all." he tells her, handing the cashier one of those plastic rectangular card things that Terrans often use to pay for stuff, ordering a hot dog for himself in addition to her food.

"Lar Gand," he offers by way of introduction, sticking out a hand for a shake.
Pink Ranger has posed:
"I choose to believe you're empathic, and that's not just code for 'you look like hell'," Kimberly chuckles, crossing her arms at her bust as she waits for her order. "But thanks, I'm Kimberly," she offers back before collecting her drink and returning the shake with her own hand. "Celebrating getting off work Lar?"
Mon-El has posed:
"Good to meet you, Kimberly." Lar says with a smile. "You'd be right, just being empathetic."

Once the food is ready, he collects his order and nods toward a table near the window. "Join me?"
Pink Ranger has posed:
A shrug, she moves to follow with a light laugh. "Least I could do," she offers, a sip of her drink, tilting her head to the side. Sipping her own drink yet again, she makes to settle herself down comfortably. "Are you from Hell's Kitchen?"
Mon-El has posed:
Lar sits down, setting the small paper carton with the hot dog down on the table in front of him. "Nope. Far from it, in fact. What about you?" he asks.
Pink Ranger has posed:
"Far from it, but I was visiting a friend." Close enough to truth, even if part of it was also that Kimberly was just needing to be away from Angel Grove for the evening.
Mon-El has posed:
"Fair enough." Lar nods, taking a bite of the hot dog. "So, if not here, where are you from?" he asks. "I'm going to guess, somewhere still on this planet?"
Pink Ranger has posed:
"It's funny that that's a valid question," she muses aloud before nodding. "Angel Grove, over towards Canada. But I came over here for a little break."

Kimberly shrugs, tilting her head. "What about you? Are you secretly a spaceman buying strange women dinner?"
Mon-El has posed:
Lar laughs. "Pff, you're not strange. Not compared to me, anyway."

"And it's no secret that I'm from Daxam." he tells her. Unlike Kal, he doesn't bother with a human alter-ego. "Kryptonian colony world." he adds, after a beat.
Pink Ranger has posed:
A blink, she just sort of...stops for a moment.

It shouldn't be strange, technically ahe was part alien now thanks to the power coin but...it still made her a little suprised.

"Krypton? Like Supergirl? Superman?"
Mon-El has posed:
Lar nods. "Yeah, -that- Krypton." Was there any other? If there was, he didn't know anything about it.

It was okay, really. Sometimes people who had never met an alien before reacted that way, even though they knew aliens were...around.
