Synopsis: Logan and Rogue make up. Again.
Cast of Characters: Rogue, Wolverine

Rogue has posed:
Despite the events of the night before, Rogue is up early and slipping into jeans and a tee shirt with a long sleeved but light shirt underneath and then pulls on her gloves. She glances back to the bed where she believes Logan is sleeping and then sighs before settling on the plush couch, checking her phone for the news and other such things. One leg crossed over the other, the red-head is still waiting for information from Emma so she can't really do anything until she receives that BUT, she has received something from Nathaniel by way of email. "Ah. Good. The sketches and details he promised... alright... who to give these to..."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan will get up slowly. He's still dazed from a few things. But there's a roll of the arm. His gaze goes to Rogue before he starts to put on the only thing here. It's his suit complete with the bolo tie. His gaze goes toward Rogue for a moment. "How ya holdin' up?" he asks openly, honestly.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue looks up at Logan and gives a small smile. It's a tight-lipped smile though and a nod of her head. "I'm okay." She still has that power dampner collar on, likely because she's almost forgotten it's there aside from the fact that she feels a bit weaker than normal. "I still think it's a dangerous idea that you've come here...what if you were followed...what if there are people outside now just waiting..." Not to mention, she's trouble for him once that collar comes off.
Wolverine has posed:
The ocean blue eyes stay on her for a moment. His gaze on her for a moment. "Ya can't be scared of everythin'." The ocean blue eyes look at her for a moment. "IF I was followed. I was followed. I know yer scared. I was, too. But I got to do the one thing I fel tlike I didn't do enough," he strokes her face. "I ain't gonna let it hold me back livin', helpin' the X-Men or enjoyin' you," Logan says to her firmly. "You should do the same."
Rogue has posed:
Rogue sighs, then gives a shake of her head. "I don't -want- to be scared. What does it show for an X-Man to be scared of something. Of -humans- no less..." Yet then she remembers the way Logan looked on that cross and her gaze shifts away again, though she does also lean into his touch. "I almost thought you weren't going to show up..." Admitting this before lifting her gaze back to him once more. "After all the shit I said to you...why did you come?"
Wolverine has posed:
R Logan's quiet for a long while. Then he will sit next to her for a moment. "How much have we been through?" heasks thoughtfully. His gaze focuses on Rogue for a moment. Just giving her time to answer this simple question.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue blinks, watching as he sits next to her and then turns her gaze away to look at the floor. "A lot. Too much perhaps..." She answers slowly, swallowing back a lump in her throat. "Months of being together, through a lot. Through others coming and going. Small skirmishes here and there..." Then she laughs, but it's a watery thing as tears fill her eyes. "And so many fights with each other....it's amazing how you put up with me..."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan looks at her for a moment. "We have been through a lot. It happens," and then he offers a finger to take away a tear. Then he's quiet for a moment. "Picture a simple day. What do ya see? What happens? Yeah. A question Chuck or Jean asked me in the past, but humor a guy," Logan saysa as he knows there are tears in her eyes. His ocean blue eyes focus on her as he waits for an answer.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue sniffles once and then raises a brow before looking over to him once more. "A simple day?" Asking and then taking a breath before actually closing her eyes. "Sitting by the pool at the mansion in a lounge chair. Under an umbrella, reading a book. Some people are swimming...you're grilling food. Cause it's like one of those mansion picnics we do during spring or summer." She smiles and opens her eyes. "I made my famous mac and cheese, and sweet tea....but everyone's happy.." She offers that much at least before looking back at him.
Wolverine has posed:
"Keep goin' tell me what happens after that. That's just lunch. What 'bout the rest of the day?" Logan has a point to make. His gaze slips to her, "Even if ya don't leave the pool. Tell me 'bout it. The whole day til' ya close yer eyes," Logan says and waits for the answers to continue.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue grimaces a bit but then she tries to imagine it further. "I get about halfway done with my book before the food is ready. We eat...talk...make jokes. Just general hanging out. People get done and either mingle by the food to keep snacking or go back to the pool. I...I run out of social battery." Which is definitely a thing for her. "So I give you a kiss and tell you I'm going inside. Go up to the room...take a hot bath so I can continue reading my book. You come in later and we talk. Watch a movie...and then go to bed." Leaving out romantic details, but then, in her mind she doesn't have the collar on.
Wolverine has posed:
"What does that tell ya? What keeps showin' up?" Logan asks honestly as he lets Rogue look over her own answer. Just examine the words she said.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue blinks, thinking on it for a good moment. Searching for the answer as if it's right there but also just out of reach. "That...you're always by my side...maybe not every single second but..you're there. With me."
Wolverine has posed:
"That's why I keep comin' back. Why I fight fer ya. Yeah, we'll fight sometimes, but most do," Logan looks at Rogue for a moment. "Yer in my day like that, too. Day's different, but yer there just as much, more or less," and that's the trick. That's his answer and why he brought her down this trail of thought. A simple way to explain why he does it. Why he keeps coming back. "You were scared n' dealin' wit' a lot. Ya lashed out. Happens to the best of us. I know it wasn't meant. It starts crossin' then we'll have some talks ya may not like," its his way of saying to her plainly, he knows it's not her. The situation jsut really got to her. Logan knows that.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue takes a breath and nods. "That makes sense. I'm still...really sorry...that I said those things." She offers to him this much more before finally shifting to lean against him. A hand goes up to touch the dampener collar she has on, which actually relaxes her in a way since she can be close to Logan with it on. "Thank you. For everything." This much more and then she turns to give him a kiss on his cheek. "Emma's offered to give us information on the FoH by the by...and maybe even help us take them down a notch or two."
Wolverine has posed:
"No need to thank. You pulled me out of dangerous spot. We're even," Logan suspects this is how it will always be. He pulls her out of the fire one day. Then she returns the favor down the road, rinse repeat. Logan just strokes at her face for a moment. The kiss comes and he nods. "We could use help on this one. Who else should we get? Anyone?" Logan's not sure if she's recruiting or it it just fell into her lap.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue seems to think on it for a moment. There's one person who she may not ask - just because it would make some things all sorts of weird. Still. "Sam Guthrie maybe? Nightcrawler if I can find him? Honestly, this thing just fell in my lap. I was running, and I didn't know where to really go...but I remembered Emma talking about this place before so I came here. She's been a doll..." Then she chuckles. "And a flirt...but...mostly just a nice friend."
Wolverine has posed:
"Flirt?" Logan asks and then shakes his head. "I don't wanna know." Then he wills tand up for a moment. "Big question. Want me to go away fer a bit? Make sure yer comfted by me bein' gone or?" he asks and the question lingers in the air for a moment.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue shakes her head, reaching to grab his hand as if to hold him where he is. "No. Please don't go..." Which is a small way of her saying 'Please dont leave me'. She stands herself and then rests her forehead on his. "I wasn't in my right mind. I think I'm getting better...but if you leave I may spiral...I can't have you go yet.."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan stays still and holds her close. "I ain't goin' anywhere then. I only have this monkey suit though," Logan likes his suit, just not every day. Well, unless in Madripoor. This is not Madripoor. "I ain't goin' darlin'."
