A Central Park encounter
Date of Scene: 04 April 2018
Location: Central Park, New York City
Synopsis: Hulk and Crusader have a chat... before Starr shows up and provokes the Hulk into a chase across the city.
Cast of Characters: Hulk, Crusader, Redstar, Super-Man, Mon-El, Gorilla Grodd

Hulk has posed:
It's been a while since the mutant protest ended with fear gas, Avengers Assembling, and a Hulk out that left craters here and there around city hall.

Now, the Hulk has reappeared again in central park... standing at the edge of a pond? The Green Goliath isn't running, moving, or getting angrier. He's... standing there, watching the water. All eleven feet of one of the most powerful and invulnerable creatures on the planet looks like he's just having a day.

People, of course, are keeping a /WIDE/ distance from him, but he doesn't seem to mind.

Crusader has posed:
Well most people. There are of course your freeks, weirdos and nutjobs who might dare to do the unthinkable. And one of those people was Bjorn. Bjorn himself, has been dealing with a few annoyances - from aliens to glitches.

But none the less, the aged man, who had a hulking (pardon the wording) physique for his age and stood a bit over 6 feet! H walked on over next to Hulk. Looking into the water with him. A long moment passes as before the dapperly dressed man speaks "Take it yer hauf had vee long days as well?" he asks the green Goliath.

Redstar has posed:
Central Park was one of her favorite places to go to think. It was full of a plethora of people and with it, all the good and bad in the world could generally be found there. Starr was drawn to the those given to the bad of course. What demon wouldn't be.

So when she saw the big green guy at the pond it made her pause to circle. She hadn't seen him since he played batting practice with her awhile ago. Right now? Right now he seemed...calm? That made her curious. Curious demons are bad.

The woman lands -across- the pond from the Hulk and Crusader. She eyes the later with vague distaste, her nose, wrinkling slightly, as her eyes slide to the Hulk. If people were avoiding the place before it is even worse now as her demonic presence, and appearance, drive people from the area.

The smell of brimstone and sulphur drifts on the wind along with the smell of smoke and fire.

Hulk has posed:
As Crusader comes over, Hulk turns around, and gives a growl to the newcomer as he's approaching. "Hulk smashed in mountains already. You looking to get smashed, human?" Hulk asks of Crusader as he comes over, "Puny humans don't like Hulk very much because Hulk strongest there is. Strength makes them afraid." Hulk concludes. Then, he sniffs... and glances in the direction of Starr.

"Demons. Hulk hate demons. Talk too much and think they're special." Hulk growls in Starrs direction... but isn't jumping over, yet.

Crusader has posed:
"Usually yes. Love fightin. Even took on the Juggernaut a few times" he says casually. "But no, just hear to clear head." he shrugs "Those who fear strength are idiots." he grins "Probably can't beat you in strength, but Bjorn like to think he could at least survive a punch"

He looks across at Starr "...don't much like demons myself. But....Bjorn wouldn't be too mad at this one" he says recognizing Starr, knowing she had a particular case.

Redstar has posed:
Starr crosses her arms and smirks at the green being. "You've talked more than I have so far," She points out with a throaty chuckle. "You don't even -know- me. I'm not afraid of you..." She points out as she slowly begins to circle around the pond. Ducks swim away quacking in alarm, leaving their little ducklings swimming furiously to catch up.

"Whatever he is, he isn't human though," The demoness nods to Crusader, her eyes tracking from the behemoth to the human-seeming orc. There is mild distaste there as she makes her very slow, and cautious, way around the pond. "Humans squish easily. I don't. Him neither I suppose..." She makes another face at Crusader, but the amused smile doesn't leave her lips.

Hulk has posed:
There's no warning as Hulk side punches Crusader with a hook... and sends him flying up and away. It's enough force to produce a sonic boom from the pressure of it, rippling over the water and giving a concussive wave that is still going strong when it gets near Starr.

Then, Hulk turns his head as he watches the show, "Hulk like punching bags." Hulk gives smugly.

Crusader has posed:
"Yeaaaaaaaaaaahohoho" comes Bjorn voice as he rocketed from the punch. Well...Bjorn is hella of durable. But he can't lie, that punched definintly hurt. He sails through the air, past a flock of birds, through needles of a building, past an airplane and keeps on going...untill he eventually arcs down and slides for several hundred feet in a forest, creating a wide steaming ditch, and a rather large crater. The man was dazed for a moment. But none the less stands up dusting himself off ".....Bjorn needs to get in a fight with this Hulk person" he decides. Though he has to take a moment to catch his breath from the unexpected punch.

Redstar has posed:
Starr is glad she landed across the pond. Caution is sometimes warranted after all. Of course she had been a punching bag already so she knew better than to get -too- close. The wave hits her and her own strength makes her only rock a little though her hair ripples out behind her.

The sound of glass breaking and alarms going off is music to her ears. And she can't help but grin at the Hulk. "So you do, so you do," She comments as she looks back from the tail Crusader took to the hulk. "You plan to make me a punching bag too?" The demons wings have yet to fold in and there is a bounce in her knees that tells she could spring back or up at the first sign of hostility.

Hulk has posed:
Hulk looks over in Starrs direction, and gives her a squint. He's not jumping. Yet. "You want to be a punching bag, wings? Hulk smash you too, if wings hasn't gotten enough trees to the face." Hulk flexes both hands as he watches the demoness. Sure, he could jump just as fast as she can fly... but he wants to wait for Crusader to get back.

Decisions.

Crusader has posed:
Speaking of which, how does someone get back from what is potentially thousands of miles away from where he was punched? Through alien shenigans. If there is one thing Crusader keeps hidden on his person, it's his spear - which can teleport him to his ship. It a hell alot faster than walking! But it still takes a few minutes.
Alright, maby five minutes, due to some prior incidents said ship though hidden wasn't that far. Some may than confuse him for a speedster...but thats life. None the less Bjorn can be seen jogging back over, looking in remarkably good condition. Suit still looks perfct even, though he had a bit of a limp.
One there, he takes a moment to catch his breath. "By....Juuthum" he actually laughs "Vat is of the amazing!" he exclaims to Hulk, evidently not put off by being punched nearly into oblivion. He cracks his back "Though...bit of a warnin would hauf been of the appreciated!" he looks to Starr, since he wasn't around to hear and see what she said, whatever she did is up in the air to him

Redstar has posed:
Starr flutters her wings and tilts her head to the side as if considering the great beast thoughtfully. "I don't particularly care to be a punching bag, no," She says. "I'm much more a spectator for this sort of thing...I wonder how long it'll take him to get back?" She turns her attention once more to the path that Crusader had taken.

"You know what this needs? Snacks?" Because of course a demon of sin is going to randomly think of her stomach. Up into the air she launches and is gone for a few minutes herself. In fact she returns with a...hot dog cart and a pleased little smirk just as Crusader does. Cause who wouldn't want a hot dog to munch while Hulk and Crusader had a punching match. Okay, most everyone in the park, but not her!

Hulk has posed:
"You asked if you could survive a punch from Hulk, big arms. You survived." Hulk gives non-chalantly, before he leap over to the other side of the pond near instantly, landing right next to the hot dog stand as Starr brings it, "Wings stole hot dog cart?" Hulk in all his eleven feet glory, walking over to ask a loaded question.

What could go wrong?

Crusader has posed:
"Bjorn never asked! Bjorn jist said he would like ta think he could" he pauses "....well guess now Bjorn knows for sure" he laughs boisteriosuly. But than he looks up seeing Starr with a cart of hot dogs....and Hulk jumping across to question her about it. He crosses his arms wondering how this was going to play out. After all, he got punched for just saying 'he would like to think'. So who knows where this will lead

Redstar has posed:
Starr did steal that cart and she turns to look up at the Hulk thoughtfully. "Stole would imply I'm not going to give it back," She tells him carefully. Hit me once, shame on you, hit me twice...she watches his eyes more than the rest for the tells of a swing. Ready to leap away or dodge her wings are not fully spread but they are ready. "Want one?" What could go wrong indeed.

Hulk has posed:
"Hulk not like bullies." Hulk states, with finality. "Hulk want wings to take stand back." As if that's the end of that argument, he turns to regard Crusader, "Big arms wanted to know if he could survive Hulk punches, and implied he could take them. Question answer." Another end to argument!

Crusader has posed:
"But there was no question!" Bjorn exclaims back with a chuckle. "Well guess the question was implied" he now says in thought. He shrugs "Ahhh well. Still yer aught to be careful yer know. Almost sent Bjorn through a plane. WOuld hauf been bad for the people" he notes for Hulk.
He eyes Starr "Stole does not imply not giving it back. It implies taking without permission." he says, not appreciating words being tiwsted for ones own agenda.

Redstar has posed:
Starr stares at The Hulk and her eyes narrow slightly at his comment. "Okay," She says and picks it up one handed and tosses it back over the trees from where she came. It...is back? Of course she knows just what she was likely starting with that. Perhaps she was doing it on purpose. Because as soon as it is sailing through the air she has leaped with a single bound into the sky. Oh sure he can 'leap' after her, but she can stay in the sky and flutter around, changing direction mid-flight.

Hulk has posed:
When Starr actually /TOSSES/ the hot dog stand, he growls... and /LEAPS/ right for it, grabbing it out of mid-air gracefully. There's a resounding boom where he landed, out of sight.... and he jumps right back to where he was, without issue. "Hulk not interested in demon stupid." Hulk growls as he puts the stand back, and looks up to where Starr is. Sure, she can fly... but can she outrun the /Hulk?/, "Demon also too arrogant." And that's Hulk jumping up, right into Starr, hand extended... and open?

Hulk might be trying to catch Starr.

Crusader has posed:
Oh great, a power smack down in the middle of Central Park....strangely enough that not as uncommon as one might think. For the moment, Bjorn wasn't gong to intervene....mosly because a demon getting a butt whooping is not a bad thing. And who know this might bring the nice side of Starr back out! He hmmms at the open hand "....is that....a High Five?" he wonders. or a slap down...guess we'll see

Redstar has posed:
Well of =course= Hulk is trying to catch Starr. The demoness expected that with her casual toss. In fact that seems to be exactly what she was aiming for. When people describe a devilish smile they are referring to the one she gives Hulk as his hands clap an arms length for her. "Arrogant?! I haven't even boasted one," She quips as she conjures a globe of heat over one hand.

It is sent zipping at the Hulk. The globe moves very fast and zips around the Hulk's head as he falls back towards the ground. While the heat coming off of it may not be a bother, the light it gives off is bright enough to burn the cornea briefly. It is, after all, more brilliant than an arc welding torch. "You're the one bragging, green boy. Me strongest!" Now she is purposefully mocking him, stoking that wrath inside. Is she crazy? Well, she's a demon so maybe.

Hulk has posed:
Once he lands, Hulk flails about with his hands, trying to grab the orbs to toss them away. "Hulk not like wings." Hulk growls, "Hulk SMASH!" ... and with that, Hulk grows a foot, visibly going to twelve feet as that infamous rage builds.

Crusader has posed:
This.....was not good. At the very least, Bjorn know who hulk is...and knows the hulk can cause alot of desturction. A massive rage beast, as few ever see him so calm. Or was calm. He is blinded by the orb of fire and light tempoarily, and ends up back up. B now the animals were scattering as where people now. He calls out "Hulk! Calm down, demons jist tryin ta make yer mad!" he exclaims, hoping to avert a potential replanting of the park.

Redstar has posed:
Starr hadn't seen -that- before and now she flies higher to critically examine her opponent. As the first glove is batted it dissipates, but not before gracing the Hulk with that lovely heat. Then two -more- appear and begin to wizz and dart around his face.

"Why do you have to go and mess with my fun? You had -yours- with him," Starr shouts at Crusader, giving him the middle finger to boot. Not like she can do a -lot- to him after all. Stupid orcs.

Hulk has posed:
Once it becomes clear the orbs are not going to go away with force, he instead looks at Starr... and growls as he leaps for the nearest tree. Pulling it out root and all, he starts to toss trees at her in rapid succession.

This looks familiar...

Crusader has posed:
"Bjorn does not think Hulk is having fun!" at leats when Bjorn was punched, hulk was just answering a question, in his own way anyways. Bjorn gets a dead pan expression at the middle finger "Demons" he grumbles.
And than comes the trees. Tress were now being thrown. GREAT! With no one around at this point...Bjorn was quickly trying to catch the thrown tress when possible, trying to minimize damage to the park.

Redstar has posed:
"This again?" Starr asks as she gives a powerful beat of her wings and shoots higher into the sky. About 100' higher. And those trees and leaves begin to catch fire as he hucks them. Cause those orbs? She has no problem passing them along leaves and bark. Dodging glaming trees? What better workout is there and that seems to be how she sees it. Because she doesn't fly away. She could -easily- just leave them be.

Instead those orbs beging to become more of a problem, an aggravation, because one after the other she sends right at the Hulk's face. "You trying to set the park on fire, big boy?" She asks with a menacing grin that has no humor or joy. One tree catches a wing and sends her spinning and starting to fall...but she breaks out into a sharp dive and lands in a tree not quite across the clearing. So about 150' away.

The wing can be seen to be slightly mangled. Pain is clear on her face, but the smile hasn't faded yet. Then? She drops the globes harrassing and blinding hulk. Relying on the after images to assist her. Now? As the wing bones right and bend before their eyes she sends two orbs flying into trees at opposite ends of the wide clearing. Then more...then more. "Oops." They begin to smolder and catch.

Hulk has posed:
When it becomes clear trees are not effective any longer, Hulk stops throwing them, and instead starts to leap at Starr again... this time /MUCH/ faster then before. There's a good chance he'll be able to grab her, this time!

Turns out, the more Hulk grows, the stronger he gets. It seems like it's a good gauge for how enraged he is.

Crusader has posed:
At this rate, Bjorn going to have to start carrying holy water. Least hulk has stopped throwing trees, and Bjorn has managed to set several down. However this does not help that the park was starting to go up in smoke, and Hulk was still going after a non injurred Starr. That demon was really getting on his nerves now
But park first, demon later. With people clearing the park, Bjorn can do his own thing. The seemingly old man, dives beneath the surface of the ponder - which has two advantages. One, Central Park ponds and pretty good and Two some of them (conviently this one) have pipes that bring more water.
As such his form beneath the waves changes, taking on a form that can both suck in (like how one can suck in through a horse to get water flowing, and spray out water (the end of a hose head essentially).
With the large water intake and the perverbial hose he has formed himself into, it rises above the surface and begin spraying likw a shower head to where he spies a fire....and he may or may not use a 'jet mode' on spray on where Starr was as well as on Hulk.

Redstar has posed:
"-NOW- we're talking," Starr says as the Hulk flies to her and she leaps straight up. In her place a glowing orb dropped into the tree, which catches fire. As she flies she laughs and she sounds genuinely happy as she does as Crusader beings to spray water.

"Nice job, Bjorn. But..." And the smoke is rising from all around the edge of the pond now and back deep into the trees. Nearly 200 feet from him. In the sky she has to play dodge and swerve and the globes stop falling after the second pass of the Hulk.

The smile has faded slightly to a look of concentration. She ducks, she swerves, and she shoots even higher. But that is not going to be quite enough to get away from Hulk. Because despite training and innate skill...she cries out sharply as his hits her.

No matter how durable she is that angry hulk and blow is enough to send bones snapping and her soaring up and through the sky. Much like Bjorn was she is sent soaring miles from the city.

Hulk has posed:
Eventually, Hulk manages to land the hit; He doesn't tire, and he can jump into low orbit without much of a problem if he /really/ wants to. Instead, he drops back into the park with a solid /THUMP/ as he lands yet another small crater. With fire spreading though, Hulk claps his hands together to form a shockwave at one of the smaller ones... putting it out entirely. "Hulk go after wings later and SMASH." Hulk confirms.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan heard the news and came to help. Not that his last encounter with the Hulk went all that well, but he does have the power to survive a Hulk battle. That puts him ahead of most people. He suickly uses his Freeze Breath to put out any remaining hot spots, then looks around for woever Hulk was fighting. Hopefuilly Hulk will not attack someone who is not fighting HIM...

Crusader has posed:
Crusader guess he should at least be somewhat glad that spraying Hulk with a Jet stream of how pressure water didn't make him even made. And the raging beast was even helping to put out the fires, so all good overall. Crusader none the less, still under the water continues to send power streams of water to put out various fires. Even as another hero comes in to help out. However the real problem was the demon sent flying. There was no doubt in Crusader mind Starr will cause more anger

Hulk has posed:
Kenan Kong, the chinese Super-Man. Hulk has met him before, but when he looks in Kenans way, Hulk just growls, "Hulk remember you." There's no malice to it, just recognition. "Is Red Man here to get in Hulks way again?" This time, Hulk is around twelve feet, down from the fifteen that Kenan saw him last. He's also not psychotically enraged this time, visibly, and stays where he is.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan says, "Right now, I am here to save property and make sure people do not get hurt." Later, possibly, he will try to stop the Hulk...but first things first. Limit the destruction. Kenan is not sure he CAN do it...but if he has to he will try. Right now, he is wondering where he flying figure Hulk was reported to be fighting is.

Crusader has posed:
With the fire put out, it was time to re-emerge. But the being he sank into the pond while Hulk was distrated with Starr is gone. Instead out from the pond comes not Bjorn, aka "Big Arms" and instead in his place was a much larger capped Juggernaut known as Crusader. He looks stoicly at Hulk, than Kenan and finally back at the sky and than back down around at the park. In truth he was waiting to see if there would be more trouble.

Hulk has posed:
"Hulk get to you after wings, if you want a fight. Hulk bored." Hulk states, before he looks in the direction where Starr went, "Wings can't take a punch, just like puny humans." Hulk laments.

Redstar has posed:
Starr may not have been hit by a speeding fighter jet but it sure feels like it. With a side helping of ass-whooping. Laying in a field of grass with cows slowly returning to the crater she herself left. As she coms too, "Ow," The demoness moans as she feels her body knit painfully together. Yet despite the momentary knockout she remains in control. So the pain only makes her laugh with wicked glee.

"Oh War, you have done more than you realize," Starr croaks to herself with a weak chuckle. Mostly unmoving but for bones and limb moving back to how they are supposed to lay. It takes her several minutes to be put back together and she sits up with a hiss.

While she can't move, yet, at the speed to make shockwaves, her strength means she can fly faster that before. And a running jump with that same strength launches her much like Hulk launches himself. So just as Hulk is lamenting the red form of the demoness flying fast, inbound, can we seen. "I have to say," She shouts down at the now-trio, "That was delightful. Not that I doubted the magic, but you just proved something for me. So thank you," And she bows mockingly in the air towards the large green metahuman.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan actually can take a blow from the Hulk...sometimes. Not always. His power limits mean he can only use one power at full strength at a time...and i pretty much has to be full strength Invulnerability to stand up to the Hulk. However, he decides right now it is time to find someone Hulk would call 'Wings'. That does not take long as a flying winged female appears on the scene. Kenan decides to try the official approach, "Please cease and desist this combat. You are causing considerable property damage and risking lives. As an agent of SHIELD, I am autherized to assist the authorities in situations involving metahuman combat."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader gets raises a brow from beneath his helm. He looks to Starr as if asking here 'is that really the line this hero is going with?' before looking to Kenan "She started fires and is trying to make Hulk mad. Let us be a bit honest here. Sides..." he eyes Starr "Shes a demon. They revel in this stuff." well half demon tehcnically speaking, but he doesn't voice that yet.

Hulk has posed:
Almost on cue, Hulk leaps right back after Starr as she gets back into line of sight. Off he goes again with a roar as he tries to grab her once again!

Super-Man has posed:
Having been told by Crusader that the one they are facing is of demonic origin, Kenan uses his Penetrating Vision to see if he can acertain a weakness. Most demons are linked to the Yang, if so his freeze breath may effect her, as it draws from the forces of Yin.

Redstar has posed:
Starr doesn't seem to be interested in the two heroes who have come. She dodges deftly away from that first leap. "I didn't start this. Green boy through the first...tree," She shouts as she dives suddenly out of Hulk's grasp. She shoots them a dark look and then turns on a wing and after throwing a heat sphere straight into Hulk's face she takes off again. And she is heading straight into the city this time...will he follow...either way -she- seems to be leaving...

Crusader has posed:
Crusader would mentioned Starr stole the hot dog cart first...but he didn't want to be revealing to Hulk that he is Bjorn. Hopefully Hulk doesn't go after her, the fires have been put out, and ripped up trees aside damage was minimal. But he does know something needs to be done about this demon soon. Hopefully Vicky is still in there.

Hulk has posed:
When it becomes clear the demon is leaving, and intentionally trying to enrage him... Hulk just roars and heads after her. Leaping from building, to street, to rooftop, he's keeping up with her easily, and keep trying to catch her.

At least he's trying to aim for places with no people.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan channels his energy into the top of his head and flies off after the Demoness. He will try to pass her and het beyond her...once in front he can try something other than flying...

Crusader has posed:
Crusader sighs "Of course" and with that he begins to rise up into the air....untill his entire form spasms and he unleashes an electromagnetic pulse which sends any phones or other eletronic devies near him hay-wired. WHich likely due to the situation, wasn't much. However he did fall...and rising back up became an impossibility. He sighs with annoyance. Seems he'll be leaving this one up to Kenan to stop Starr for now. Knowing he was done for the count he assumes his civilian form and simply heads off

Redstar has posed:
Through the city they go with Starr deliberately bating the Hulk. Little comments and more of those damned annoying globes that temporarily blind his vision. Numerous buildings are going to need to contact Damage Inc. after this. "Oh please, is that the best you can do?" Starr taunts the Hulk as he misses her, barely, between two skyscrapers.

As Kenan zips by she sneers and immediately focuses on him. The power to control the super's own internal temperature is hers and he is being a pest at the moment. So she cranks up the heat. The air sudden sweats and fog begins to form as temperatures surge to 128 degrees in otherwise freezing temperatures. That is only to her benefit, making it harder to hit. But Kenan is getting all the heat for a moment. 110 degree fever and swelting 128 degrees in the air? Not good...

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan is, fortunately, resistant to heat and other solar type energies. Risistant, not impervious...most of the time. He lands on a ledge, spins around, and unleashes a blast of Freezing Breath at the Demoness. Heat seems to be her forte, let us see if super cold breath will harm her.

Mon-El has posed:
It isn't long from the time Lar sees the news broadcasts and hears the commotion in New York to the time that he comes speeding through the air toward the source of the chaos. He's already assessed the situation from afar, his enhanced senses serving him well in this case. Not surprising, Starr acting like this. But hopefully he can stop her before anyone else gets hurt.

As another fireball comes flying toward the Hulk's face, he is suddenly there between the green rage monster and the demon. The fire strikes him instead, but appears to have absolutely no effect on him. "Starr, stop this -now-. I mean don't you have better things to do than wreck stuff for no reason?"

Hulk has posed:
Jumping between skyscapers to get to Starr means a little bit of debris from each impact happens as Hulk keeps trying to get to Starr.

Then, Mon-El comes out of nowhere... and interrupts.

... well, he tries too, anyway.

"HULK SMASH WINGS! GET OUT OF HULKS WAY!" Hulk roars as his target switches from Starr... to Mon-El.

A punch that breaks the sound barrier and shatters windows in a decent radius around drives into Mon-El from the Hulk, his momentum and own considerable strength focused directly on the Daxamite.

Redstar has posed:
"Oh, it's the spoil sport," Starr comes up sharply. And it is about that time Kenan's breath blows across her and just...melts as it touches her skin. She glances at him and raises a brow. "Cute," And two orbs of heat appear to either side of Kenan before zipping straight at him. Their 1500 degree heat enough to blist and peal the paint of the building he stands on.

"You ruin EVERYTHING!" If she could stamp on the air she would. Instead Lar gets a harmless orb flung at him because, well, the Daxamite frustrates her. She literally can't do anything to him...yet. Those black eyes glare and the yellow flames flare in her anger.

Then Hulk does what she couldn't and she squeels and claps her hands with delight. "Oh! Good job!" She says as she suddenly dives now, aiming for street level. "I didn't get to tell him, but there -is- purpose to this. I'm having -fun-!"

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd literally cursed when he saw the news clip one of his dedicated AI programs constantly monitoring the net brought to his attention. Despite his machinations, Starr had been the only one to go with him when he'd had the compass. He'd been SO close. Despite the secondary benefits, it was a tremendous loss...one or two more...it hardly mattered. He wasn't ready. His longer term plans to make such risks meaningless to him were nowhere close to fruition. He was at least three phases away and yet she was at risk. Carefully, quickly, and efficiently, he calculated his odds, the data feeds he was getting and the most likely trajectory of the beast persuing Starr. This was cosmic level threat, the kind of thing he would spend months preparing for, the kind that even major galactic powers would do well to fear. And in some cases did, so he had to use discretion. As it was, he formulated a plan. Grabbing a jet pack and a holo projector he had the basics of it when he checked his arsenal. There wasn't time to grab the most applicable devices, his heaviest blasters..there was only....the one. And it was charging. One shot. Delightful. Teleporting to the appropriate skyscraper he saw and hear Starr taunting the others, realizing that, in this case she had brought this on herself. No matter. He would at least TRY. Activating the holoprojector and jet pack a 'news copter' suddenly entered the sky near but not in the immediate proximity of the ensuing battle.

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan reacts as Starr throws fire at him, moving his energy to his belly. It is a good thing he landed already because if he had not he would have fallen from the sky as he switches powers to become invulnerable. Heat is no problem now...he could walk into a nuclear blast and not be burned (knocked backwards by the overpressure wave yes, burned no). Of course, he can not do much else while keeping that up.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar gets smacked in the face by a giant green fist. It sends him flying into a large LED billboard, which shatters as electricity arcs out of it as it falls to pieces. The Daxamite temporarily disappears under a pile of debris, only to emerge moments later, rocketing up and then straight back at the Hulk. He would chat more with Starr, but now he has a Hulk to deal with. Ugh, he needs to get this guy away from any densely populated areas. "Sorry sir, but we're going to need to take this -outside-." he sighs.

With that, he attempts to simply -grab- the big green by the wrist or ankle or whatever appendage happens to be most available and start flying first up above the clouds where sonic booms won't knock down any more buildings and then in any direction -away- from the city.

Hulk has posed:
It's not very hard to grab the Hulk in midair. It's not like he can truly /fly/.

What he can do? Make your life hell trying to keep a hold on him... and the Hulk is quite capable of surviving landing from any height. He's survived re-entry before, after all.

So, when Mon-El starts to fly upward with him, the Hulk roars -visibly growing another foot to thirteen feet- before he flips himself up and over, and throwing yet another punch at Mon-Els face.

"HULK NOT ASK YOU FOR HELP!" Hulk roars in his face as he's 'helped' out of the city.

He was keeping away from civilians and everything!

Redstar has posed:
Starr is just looking absolutely delighted at how things have turns out and that is just creepy. Pointed white teeth are shown as she grins, watching the fight going on. "Oh this truly -is- my day," She says and claps her hands as she watches the two fall towards the earth.

Then slowly her gaze turns to Kenana and she smirks at him. Her eyes go up and down his form. "So...how is SHIELD going to stop that? Also, you'll note, not my fault!" She sings those last three words at him. It takes her a moment to notice or notice the sound of helicopters coming in. Two of them?

The demoness turns towards the actual news helicopter as it stops a ways off, filming the fight between Mon-El and Hulk now. Though she and Kenan get a sweep from the camera. Those lips purse and Kenan is the one who can see the urge to cause more mayhem. And the moment it does an orb of light appears right at the junction of blades and the vehicle itself. There is a horrible noise of screaming metal. The blades are suddenly spinning off the copter and it falls fast towards the ground, turning in slow circles as it too heads for the ground.

"A gift for SHIELD," Starr tells Kenan, gesturing towards it, before she turns. "OH! Another one?" She sees Grodd's faux helicopter and then a moment confusion as the orb does...nothing?

Super-Man has posed:
Kenan IS a Superman...perhaps not THE Superman, but still he can not let the innocent die if he can save them. Moving his power to his feet, he runs towards the falling copter. He quickly circles around at near the speed of sound, creating a massive updraft that slows the falling copter so that it hits the ground gently.

Mon-El has posed:
"Dude, you punched me first." Lar points out in response to Hulk's protests. Then the Hulk swings up and aims to punch again, but this time he's more ready for it and brings up an arm to block the blow as much as possible. It's still quite the impact, causing him to let go of the green man's arm. Especially since he just got bigger all of a sudden.

Gravity overtakes the one who cannot fly for a moment, but in a flash, the Daxamite has flown under him and is charging upward this time with a fist cocked and ready to deliver a blow strong enough to send a normal human into outer orbit. Well, he knows the Hulk is far from a normal human, of course...but he's hoping for at least a mile or two past the coastline and into the Atlantic.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd had meant this for the hulk as the heat sphere ...MOSTLY harmlessly passes through the hologram of the helicopter. HE's IN the thing flying with a jet pack so it makes him very uncomfortable rather quickly but the force field he had in case of hulk punch kicks in, and then immediately shorts. This is what happens when you come to battle uncharged and unprepared. SIghing, he almost boots up the teleporter but sees Kenan save the humans. Well, no acocunting for taste. As it is, he can see Kenan is very likely to try to arrest her or something else ill advised so from the 'news' coptor a giant FOOP of purple energy streams out at Kenan, suddently temporarily removing his mass and thus likely his connection to the Earth. Grodd is unaware he can fly but then again, if he must fly, he won't be a threat to Starr.

Hulk has posed:
"YOU GET IN HULKS WAY, BLACK CAPE MAN." Hulk roars as he drops.

Then, Mon-El is below him... but Hulk is an expert at controlled falling by now, and turns around to meet fist, with fist. Sonic booms can be heard and felt as the two combatants send each other flying.

In the Hulks case, he's is actually sent east, bulleting towards the ocean. This much power put into a punch means Hulk is going end over end uncontrolled. Even with his considerable strength, he still needs to work against air drag.

When he lands, the resulting water plum can be seen for miles.

Redstar has posed:
If only Starr's hot dog truck hadn't been taken. She might have a bag of chips with which to watch the fun. Instead she flies closer to the helicopter now more interested in it than the fight below. For a moment the flames about her eyes flicker and she is smiling. "GRODD!" She crows happily as she flies up to the copter.

The demoness looks the hologram over before her eyes lock on the gorilla within. "Did you come to give me a lift or watch the fun?" She asks with a glance over her shoulder, and down at the ground. "Aw. Shows over. We should...go before Lar comes back. I've NO interest in a heart to heart beating."

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd nods, "Get within ten feet." He smiles, enjoying the 'rescue.' He knows he isn't a hero but really doesn't consider himself a villain. He is simply doing what he must. But there are times he understands the appeal of such actions. ASsuming she listens to him, he lights up the teleportation tracer and 30 seconds later the two of them are gone in a flash of light. As is the "Helicopter."

Mon-El has posed:
Indeed, the impact creates a sonic boom and sends the both of them flying away from each other. Hulk is sent into an involuntary cannonball into the Atlantic as Lar barrels west, ending up somewhere in the Appalachians. Fortunately, being able to fly allows him to slow his own momentum before he ends up creating any craters. Hopefully the cold ocean water will help the green giant calm down and decide to end his rampage. Returning to New York quickly, he searches for Starr but finds that she's already teleported away. Blah, he'll have to find her later! But not to worry, it won't be long--not when you can see and hear practically -everything-.
