Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
The night was arduous, but Jessica survived. As reality begins to settle in, as it invariably does after such events, Jess just needs to rest a little. She is perched on the hood of a car that was apparently disabled by a collision, her knees drawn up, and her arms wrapped around them. She's looking at the fungal carnage -everywhere- and she sighs heavily. "Does it ever end?"

Flash has posed:
"Sometimes we get a night off. But this is not that night," Flash says dramatically from her left, as he had just appeared from thin air. He looks at her a long moment. Long for him. "Just a minute," Flash says. And a slight blur and crackle is all that is left behind.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica looks around in confusion. First there was no one. Then there was Flash. Then he was gone. "I feel like I'm losing my mind..." Jessica sighs deeply and rubs her face.

Flash has posed:
It does take a minute. Flash reappears, then. With a milkshake in each hand. He crosses the three feet towards her from where he paused, and offers her both, or either. "Strawberry, or Oreo?" he asks, flashing a quirk of a smile.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Omygod...Strawberry, /please./ You have no idea, you have just saved my day. POSSIBLY my life," Jessica chimes as he offers her a shake. "Ice cream fixes EVERYTHING..."

Flash has posed:
Handing over the Strawberry flavor after quickly glancing at them, Flash salutes and climbs over to sit next to her on the car, stirring the other one a little and then having a meaningful slurp. He's dusty and flecked with fungal spore dust, but doesn't look too tired. He grins at her pleasure. "Glad I could help."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"I didn't even know you were here." Jessica looks Flash over and looks satisfied, as she adds, "Looks like you fared all right. Nothing too catastrophic? Nothing hurt?"

Taking a long slow draw from the straw on the shake, she swallows and exhales. "Oh my GOD tha's good..."

Flash has posed:
"I wasn't. I was somewhere else. So I missed most of this. But I heard about it on my communicator," Flash answers regretfully. Always late to the party, somehow. "Figured I'd do second shift and clean-up. I'm fine." He looks her over. "Your mask's missing," he observes. "Were you hit?"

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"No, no. Nothing like that..." Jessica pulls her mask from the back of her belt. "I had to take it off. I guess I webbed too hard, got depleted." She looks around at the web /everywhere./ "I didn't know that could happen. Spiders need protein for webs, so I guess it's possible after all.

She half-smiles at Flash and shrugs. "I pilfered somebody's takeout, got some protein, and I'm right as rain, now."

True to her word, the dark circles under her eyes are nearly gone. She just looks tired, now.

Flash has posed:
"Okay. Well, you CAN let some of us take over, and get your rest in. You did the heavy lifting," Flash says, with a grin that flashes straight white teeth, and he pumps a thumbs up at her. "Not that I'm suggesting you /leave/. Not if you're jazzed to do more." He sips his milkshake, still smiling.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Nah," Jessica interjects. "I didn't do the heavy lifting. There were others who did. Superman. Wonder Woman. That Green Arrow guy who never misses." She takes another long slow drink of her shake. "THEY did the heavy lifting."

Flash has posed:
"Superman makes all of our lifting look shameful, don't worry about it," Flash says with a wink and quick laugh. He reclines back a little on the car hood, looking up and around. "At least it's a nice night. A snowy night. In July." Flash pauses, shakes his head.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica breathes a laugh and leans back beside Flash. "Well, this would be the one day in a lifetime to call on all those things that wouldn't happen till a cold day in July." She looks around the landscape and shrugs. "Or for that matter, when hell freezes over. 'Cause from my perspective, this certainly looks like hell.

Flash has posed:
"Nah. This is us winning, isn't it?" Flash asks, lifting a palm to catch a little snowflake as it flutters down. He's good at catching things. "And at the end we make snow angels out of snow and dead fungus. Ooo-eee."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica wrinkles her nose. "Groooosssss. Let's skip the fungus angels and just make them where there's like...a clean spot. I mean, if that's okay. I know you've got your heart set on fungus..."

Flash has posed:
"I don't really want to lay around in any of it," Flash admits with a shudder. "It's all the frosts of frozen hell and unhappy people." He pans his eyes around, smile turning subdued. "Maybe a giant leafblower." He gestures with his hands, as if fanning all of the nastiness out.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"It's the way life goes, Flash." Jessica's smile fades as well, her expression more somber. "We have to have the nastiness to achieve and enjoy the rest. The earth will recover. If millenia of humankind hasn't managed to destroy it yet, well...what chance do a handful of tasty pizza toppings stand?

Flash has posed:
Flash squints slightly. "Imagine the size of the pizza that would be in ratio with the size of these mushrooms," he suggests. He ends up staring, and then appearing to give up. "Too much for any mortal to contemplate." He slurps more of his milkshake, and slides down the hood to stand. "Still need to do our part, huh? I mean, yeah, the earth is fine, but I'm mostly concerned about the people standing on it today." He grins.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Oh definitely. That's why I do what I do. And you. And Superman. We're all after the same thing." Jessica takes another draw on her milkshake and slides off the hood as well. "Tony says there are five more portals..."

Flash has posed:
"/FIVE/?" Flash asks, blinking a few times. "...That would explain the chatter in my earpiece about getting moving and looking around. Well. Until next time, Spider-Woman," Flash smiles, tipping his milkshake at her, smiling again, and ...darting away, in his sudden manner.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica smiles, and then the smile falls slightly with the abrupt departure. Flash is like a bird. Here, and then gone. But a gentle, happy spirit, that leaves a little with you when he's gone.

Jessica shakes her head, taking another sip of her strawberry shake. More fortunate for his visit, in more ways than one.
