Synopsis: Adam and Groot get to know their new Cybertronian friend better.
Cast of Characters: Blurr, Groot, Adam Warlock

Blurr has posed:
The Guardians have been pretty busy as of late, fighting giant war machines, shapeshifting monsters, rescuing princesses, and all that kind of stuff. Oh, and Peter has brought a Cybertronian home, but he's also managed to get himself knocked out cold after losing control of his jet boots thanks to a shockwave unintentionally generated by Warlock. So yeah, all the typical space hero things.

Unfortunately, Peter's new giant 'pet' hadn't been in very good shape, and although Adam has stabilized that situation for the most part, Blurr is actually still in need of a transfusion. Not that he'd admit it.

Groot has posed:
Groot is fairly perceptive and is more than happy to help Blurr if he can figure out exactly how to help him. "I am Groot?" He offers a plug tied to the Knowhere energy grid having no idea if that is what he needs. Groot is good enough to make the cable the right length however.

Adam Warlock has posed:
The injured Cybertronian has been on Warlock's mind, but with all the other activity happening lately he hasn't been able to spend any time with him. Now that there's a lull the golden skinned mage has decided to pay another visit to the Transformer. "Greetings," the smaller being calls out when he arrives. With his sense of life forces he can roughly gauge that Blurr isn't doing so hot, though he's still not an expert on mechanical beings. Groot is given a nod and a friendly smile, "Groot. It is good to see you again."

Groot has posed:
Groot says, "I am Groot." He says to Adam, implying that he is also glad to see him. He is also considering Duct Tape. He has seen Rocket us that many times to great effect but waiting for Blurr's reaction first."

Blurr has posed:
Blurr stares at Groot. What... in the name of Primus? Star-Lord had some very odd friends. "Uh--uhm hello Groot." he replies, peering at the connector cable he's holding but unsure what it is for.

Then Adam approaches. He remembers vaguely that this guy somehow managed to bring him back from the brink of the afterspark. "Oh hey--thanks for--um, whatever you did back there. I don't think I would've made it if it hadn't been for you...." he glances back at Groot. "So uh, Groot. What are you? Some kind of plant?"

Groot has posed:
Groot says, "I am Groot." It is a long explanation involving murder, redemption, betrayal and excile. He tells it well too. He shrugs and sips a water. "I am Groot?" He looks at Blurr."

Adam Warlock has posed:
"I am glad to help. Preserving life is something that brings me great joy," says the sorcerer to the racer. "I am Adam Warlock. I do not believe we were introduced before, but it is good to make your acquaintance." He studies the injured being, almost like he's looking through him once again. "I can sense that you need further aid, but I am afraid that I do not know what aid either Groot or myself might be able to render."

Blurr has posed:
Blurr stares at Groot, still bewildered and confused. "Right, I know you're Groot, but is that your name, or is that your species, or what?" he keeps asking.

He nods at Adam. "Not a lot of organics out there who would do that for someone like me." he admits. When Warlock mentions that he still isn't in great shape, he seems to clam up a bit. "Dunno what you're talking about--I-I'm fine." He really isn't. "You guys shouldn't have helped me, those Legislators are just going to keep coming. I mean--I'm glad you did, but--" he sighs. "We need to secure that ununtrium before everyone who wants a piece of it or takes issue with it being in your possession comes calling again."

Groot has posed:
Groot sighs and says, "I am Groot." He explains about his condition, waving for Adam to explain. He looks at Blurr, not understanding everything but having SOME idea how Blurr works. He doesnt quite get the term Legislators and asks, "I am Groot?" He nods regarding the unutrium.

Adam Warlock has posed:
"You are a living being with a soul," Warlock explains to Blurr. "It matters little to me what you are made of." The golden man gives a look to Groot, nods, then says to the Cybertronian, "Groot's language sounds to most beings as if he's repeating 'I am Groot', however, if one has spent time with a member of his species one might be able to discern deeper meaning in his words." There's a little pause, "Groot asks for more information regarding the Legislators. I would help you secure the ununtrium if possible."

Blurr has posed:
"Yeah, a living being who's notorious for destroying things. And 'things' as in entire civilizations and planets." Blurr sighs again, shaking his head. "That's why the Council wants nothing to do with us, and neither do most marginally intelligent species out there."

"Thanks, Adam Warlock." he says when the mage offers to help with the ununtrium. "We should leave it at the nearest outpost, my um--allies can take it somewhere more secure from there."

"As for the Legislators. They're those nasty drones that attacked earlier. They come after anyone who breaks the Tyrest Accord. And as we all saw, they are pretty liberal on the violence and don't discriminate at all." he says wryly.

Groot has posed:
Groot says, "I am Groot." He is clearly not impressed with either the reputation for a whole species or the Legislators. He shrugs, "I am Groot?" He attempts to use a scanner to diagnose Blurr to see if there is any mechanical fix he can make."

Adam Warlock has posed:
"Everyone has a past. Yours may be filled with destruction but I doubt Star-Lord would have brought you aboard if he thought you were an evil being," Adam Warlock says seriously. "I was created to do evil but I rose above that and believe any member of any species can do the same."

"Groot doesn't seem to care about your species reputation, either. Or the Legislators," the mage explains, looking over at his tree companion to see what he's doing. Then his attention returns to Blurr, "Just let me know how I can assist with moving the ununtrium. I am capable of creating portals to travel vast distances."

Blurr has posed:
"-Millennia of destruction.-" Blurr emphasizes. "I've lost track of how many eons we've been on the Council's blacklist. And how long the list of planets that have been destroyed or rendered uninhabitable either directly or indirectly because of us."

He glances at Groot as the alien starts to scan him. It would seem that he is mostly back together, but fuel line pressure is low. But his interest seems to be piqued at the mention of portals. The Autobot arches a brow at leans down closer toward the flesh creature. "Oh really? You can create space bridges all on your own? Wow..." he straightens back up. "How do you know where it'll open up?"

Groot has posed:
Groot scratches his head a moment trying to figure out EXACTLY how to fuel the autobot and then asks, "I am Groot?" What does he eat? He points again to the energy line but then considers modifying one of the portable generators. It might safer in case the systems were not compatible.

Adam Warlock has posed:
"Generally I can perceive things beyond what others can," Warlock says simply, as though it's nothing special. "Even then it's not necessary for me to know what's on the other side. My understanding of space and magic is such that I can usually create portals based off coordinates, thoughts or directions, but it is not always possible."

Groot's question is translated by the golden figure, "What do you eat, my friend? Groot wishes to provide you with sustenance."

Blurr has posed:
Blurr goggles at Adam. "Good Primus, that's--that's pretty amazing, so you can just do it whenever? Could you do it right here, right now, if I give you coordinates?"

"Eat? Oh, uhm--right." Sustenance. "Almost anything that can be burned as fuel for some kind of vehicle would work, with varying levels of efficiency. But energon is what we really need...there was a little bit of it back on my ship."

Groot has posed:
Groot says, "I am Groot." He points about how A is obviously B with a portal and a special kind of food since Gasoline isnt lying around but as he thinks about it, some of Rocket's ordinancy is chemical based and he does come back with a small barrel of highly combustible fuel."

Adam Warlock has posed:
Without thinking twice about Blurr's question Adam Warlock nods his head, "Yes, I could. It may take a moment or two of preparation and it is not something I do lightly, for fear that there may be danger on the other side, but should we need it I am capable."

"Astute as always, my friend. Your breadth of knowledge rivals my own," the mage tells the plant like alien with a smile.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr scans that barrel of stuff that Groot just brought over. "Hey, you're pretty resourceful." he says with a weak smile. Then he picks it up, pops it open almost just like a regular can of beer or soda, and downs it in a gulp. It wasn't much, but it'll at least help for the time being. After emptying it, he peers at the container pensively. "Huh. Not bad. You got any more of that lying around?" he asks.

The Autobot puts the container down and opens his palm, out of which a holographic display of sorts projects a set of coordinates to an orbital outpost a few parsecs away. "There -shouldn't- be any danger on the other side--not that I've never said that before and ended up getting ambushed."

Groot has posed:
Groot says, "I am Groot." He picks up a blaster, clearly ready for danger on the other side. "I am Groot." He shrugs and explains that he could find more but it would be easier to get the real thing. If not, there are a dozen places on Knowwhere he can find it."

Adam Warlock has posed:
Studying Blurr's coordinates for a moment, Warlock nods his head, "I am capable of opening a portal to that location." Hefting his staff he begins focusing on the task ahead of him, pulling in magical energies in order to cast the spell to open a portal. As he works he says, "Groot knows where to find more but it may be easier to obtain energon."

Pointing his staff at the space before them Adam focuses his energies and a hole into somewhere else appears, large enough to fit the Autobot's frame. "Does this appear to be the correct location?"

Blurr has posed:
"Don't worry about finding energon, or going hunting for substitutes," Blurr says, shaking his head. "It'll just put you in more danger. I'll be fine, trust me."

He watches with a sense of awe as Adam works his magic, and stares at the portal that has been created, as if he can't believe his optics. "Holyslag..." he mutters. He really -could- do that. It was...amazing. Maybe fleshlings weren't all that useless after all.

On the other side is a docking bay attached to the outpost located at the specified coordinates. To those the size of Terrans, the facility is -massive-. "--I mean, yeah. It is the right place." He approaches the portal and puts an arm through it experimentally. "How long can you keep them open?"

Groot has posed:
Groot says, "I am Groot." He's seen Adam do it before and is always impressed. He realizes Adam can tell Blurr himself and doesnt need a translation. He laughs and walks through the portal."

Adam Warlock has posed:
"I can keep them open for some time," Warlock explains as he looks through into the docking bay. As Groot steps through Adam lifts off of the ground and hovers behind his friend. "Is this Cybertronian architecture? I am afraid that I am not terribly familiar with it. Quite fascinating, however. How does one account for the differing sizes of your people?"

Adam is more curious than anything else as he looks around the area, trying to take everything in. "Would it be possible to speak to some of the people here or would you prefer that we quietly deposit the ununtrium and leave?"

Blurr has posed:
"Amazing..." Blurr mutters, then withdraws his hand and goes to retrieve the cylinder Peter had taken from Blurr's ship earlier before stepping through into the docking bay on the other side. "Yeah, it's--uh, we just make everything large enough to accommodate most average-sized people. Of course you have guys like Metroplex who are the size of an entire city but that's rare."

Adam and Groot would most likely feel quite small in a place like this, where all the walls and doors tower over them because they are as tall as buildings. "Oh actually um, you should go back. You're not technically authorized to be here, I don't know how the security systems will react."

"...thanks for your help again. The Legislators shouldn't bother you any more. I left my hailing frequency on your ship, so you can use that to contact me later if you want."

Groot has posed:
Groot gives a thumbs up and says "I am Groot," returning the favor with the hailing frequency of theirs. Its the least he can do. He is disappointed and glad at not shooting things.

Adam Warlock has posed:
"Astonishing," Warlock says as he floats along, his curiosity seemingly boundless. When told that he should depart, however, the mage doesn't spend much more time in the docking bay, instead flying towards the portal. "I am pleased to know that I could help you. Do not hesitate to contact us, I would not wish to see a potential friend suffer when I might be able to aid them." Before returning from whence he came Adam lifts a hand, "Fare well."
