Date of Scene: 02 September 2019
Location: Brendan Cemetary, Sunnydale
Synopsis: 9043
Cast of Characters: Buffy Summers, Spike

Buffy Summers has posed:
It's raining lightly over Sunnydale cemetary; Spitting really, but aside from that, it's cold, and dark. And there are lots of fresh graves tonight. Sunnydale's most popular cemetary - really, it's only cemetary - has always been a hotspot for supernatural activity, especially vampires. Tonight is no different as shadowy figures dart aroud here and there, but perhaps the oddest scene are the two lovebirds who sit under a tree, smooching.

Of course, upon closer inspection, one might notice that it's not so much a kiss fest as a drink fest. In fact, one might notice that one of the individuals, the dapper looking gentleman dressed in outdated clothing, is in fact biting the neck of the young woman dressed in a tight red mini dress, who looks like she's drunk and high on something, probably the kind of girl that deliberately flaunts herself looking for attention. Oddly enough, she doesn't seem scared by the vampire, nor does she make any attempt to run away.

Spike has posed:
Spike is back in Bloodhaven for a night or two. He's come here to....well...it's crossing his patrol route then. So he should, ya know, totally and utterly, well....deal with this? Stake in hand, Spike lunges with a not quite yell at the vampire, stake in his fingers as Spike's full on lunging like a junge cat...wearing a duster, boots and so forth. Spike's a dangerous creature

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Ooh Jakob..You are so warm for a vampire.." croons the young woman, arms wrapped around his waist as he continues to feed on her blood. Jakob smirks, brushing a strand of blonde hair out of the woman's eyes, pausing only briefly in his feeding - enough to notice the errant vampire, lunging at him from behind. "Watch out!" he yells, pushing the woman to the side, eyes narrowed as he twists to the side to avoid the lunge, countering with a high kick at the hand holding the stake. This vampire is particularly fast and agile, and his dark eyes gleam dangerously in the moonlight, focused now upon spike. "Ahh, the rogue vampire. How dare you interrupt our little date?"

Spike has posed:
Spike turns and snaps his arm backk and lands in a heap against a gravestone. "You asshole" Spike snarls, "Yeah I'm Spike, what about it?" he snaps and grits his teeth looking over, "How about you forget the girl, and you and I sort this out" Spike says launching a low kick at the vampire. Spike's....definitely not in a mood to play. He wants to deal with this. And he wishes the Scoobies were here to back him up, too. Spike could really use help, too. Spike's in it and in trouble. Shaking his head, Spike stares, "So what if I'm a rogue vampire, huh?" he asks watching the girl and vampire.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Jakob sighs, turning around in his dramatic tuxedo jacket and top hat that partially hides his handsome face from view, and his long dark hair that falls to his shoulders. The outfit places him somewhere in the 1800s perhaps, but clearly he hasn't kept with the times. Or maybe it's a costume. Who knows? "The name is Jakob. We are vampires. Why are you fighting me? Wouldn't you like a steady source of blood..Without having to worry about hunting your food, or killing it?"

He nods towards the frightenned girl who cowers under a nearby tree, but rather than run away in fear, she reaches an arm out to Jakob, murmuring his name. "You see what can happen when you win their trust?" his eyes gleam wickedly, "So delectable!" He is talking so much that he doesnt see the kick coming until it's too late, He yells, stumbling back, crashing into a nearby headstone. Climbing unsteadily to his feet, he cracks his neck, straightening it out a little, approaching Spike with a snarl. But he still doesn't have his vamp face on yet. "Come on then, I'll give you one chance to join us. And if you refuse, then I'm afraid I'll have to kill you."

Spike has posed:
"Atta boy" Spike says with a smirk. "Keep talking, go on, keep on talking." Spike taunts, lunging a kick at the vampire, a kick towards the vampire's groin. Spike...he's not playing.

"So why should I join you? Go on, sell it to me. Put on a crappy suit, godawful tie. C'mon, sell it to me" Spike offers with a look around, then snappping his eyes back to the vampire. "C'mon, tell me why"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Jakob yelps as he gets kicked in the ground, crumpling to the ground. "Jakob!" the frightenned woman cries, darting to his side, helping him up. But he doesn't seem that badly hurt, and perhaps he was feinting it all along as he continues to smile wickedly at Spike. "Because..You know you cant resist your true nature..Come on, why not have a taste?" he grabs the woman by the shoulders and shoves her towards Spike. Her neck is still bleeding, fresh from Jakob's own feeding.

Spike has posed:
Spike's not going easy. He's somehow kept the stake and seems to leap down in a move that's straight out a wrestling ,match, dropping onto Jakob....stake first. Pointy end first. He's remembering how Buffy stakes vampires and he puts his arm and force behind the plummet, too, knees out, one fist clenched as he's not playing around still. "Because you don't know jack" Spike sneers. "You don't know jack about me. I've a mind to call Faith and tell her there's a feeding frenzy in Sunnydale and let her go to town" Spike snaps, looking around fo ra moment.

Buffy Summers has posed:
The woman screams, stumbling towards Spike. "No, leave him alone!" but he seems to ignore her, lunging towards Jakob instead. Jakob just laughs, wrestling easily with Spike, attempting to punch him in the head as he gets down and dirty. But eventually the stake manages to find its way home. He laughs and coughs, stumbling out of Spike's grasp, hanging on long enough to push the girl's neck in his face, slashing at her neck to open the gash; Large enough that she may easily bleed to death in a manner of seconds - right onto Spike even. And then with a stumble and groan, Jakob clatters to the ground, exploding in a cloud of dust.

Spike has posed:
"What...the hell" Spike says looking worried. "Just...what...the hell did...." he says and resists the urge to be, well, a vampire. "Did I walk into, I mean" Spike adds watching the girl. "You need help" Spike adds then shakes his head. He does call for help though, and he's got a hand over her wound. No, he's /not/ getting blood on his duster, or shoes. Spike though is conent to get blood on his hands. Not his clothes, though...

Buffy Summers has posed:
The woman weakly wraps her arms around his neck. She's simply lost too much blood, and now it's gushing out all at once, too quickly. "H-help...Me...Carpe..N-Nocturn.." she murmurs as blood continues to bubble out of her neck wound, getting on her hands as she clutches at his shoulders. A moment later and she's dead, falling to the ground in a lifeless heap.

And a second later, Buffy is standing over him, watching him, eyes wide with shock and disbelief. "What....What did you do!?"

Spike has posed:
"I didn't do jack shit Buffy. I staked a vampire and he dusted, and he was trying to recruit me" Spike protests, gestruing to the stake and the woman. "This Jakob guy tore her open like e a fat kid and a cake box" Spike snarks. "She was saying help me, and carpe noctem" Spike grouses, "You know if I did it I'd be on the floor in pain, right. I'm still sitting up talking to you, right" Spike points out, looking up to Buffy as Spike gets to his feet.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers narrows her eyes, shaking her head. "That's assuming the chip still works! How do I know this isn't just another damn trick?" she kneels next to the woman, checking her pulse, but she's already gone. She snarls, glancing around but seeing no one. He could be telling the truth, but she can't be taking any chances. This is just too damn obvious. "Damn you, Spike..You've been desiring human blood for a long time. There's no way you'd pass this up!" she pulls out her own stake from her hair, pausing only briefly. She'd like to think it wasn't him, this was just some big accident. But she can't take the risk. Maybe he'd planned this all along, trying to lower her guard until he could take advantage of her like that woman. With a yell, she lunges towards him with the stake, attempting to stab him right in the heart.

Spike has posed:
Spike throws his arm up to protect himself and ducks out the way, swinging his arm at Buffy. If she's gonna stake him, he'll take the stake to the arm, hell if he gets to hit her, it'll either prove the chip works. Or....not. If anything, Spike though is just as confused as Buffy. Just, a lot less angry, but Spike gets it. Buffy's right to be suspicious of him. But Spike's not angry. He was there. Buffy wasn't. If he has to wear a video camera to record it all....so be it. Spike'll do that. Or he'll just, ya know....take detailed notes.

Spike watches Buffy with a pleading look. "I could test the chip by kicking that woman" Spike offers. Not helping his case, there.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers snarls, turning around to face him. She'd forgotten just how quick he is when he wants to be. And she smiles, putting the stake away for a moment, and pulling out...A syringe attached to a very, very BIG needle. "Damn you, Spike..I may as well do this before I finish you off. And don't you dare kick her, she's already dead, you idiot!" and this time she attempts to grab him and shove him against a nearby tombstone, before attempting to plunge the giant needle into his arm. "This is gonna hurt.."

Spike has posed:
Spike shakes his head. "Don't I get one last wish?" Spike smirks, watching Buffy...though he's quick and is doing his best to slip out of her grasp. She'll need to either get the needle through the duster, or....get the duster off of him. Which would....well....nearly naked spike, in a cemetery....not quie how Spike figured this was gonna go. In other circumstances, he'd appreciate it. RIght now though? Nope. Spike's in fight or flight mode. And he, really, genuienly, does not wanna hurt Buffy at all. He cares about her and the Scoobies. But...but Jakob's ruined it. Thanks, asshole

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers snarls, putting the syringe away for now. Yeah, gonna have to get that duster off first. And he's a lot tougher than she gives him credit for. But heck, she's The Slayer afterall, and it's her job to slay vampires, all vampires. Which is why she is generally stronger than most vampires. "No, you've run out of time. It's over, Spike!" She rushes at him again, this time swinging her stake at his chest, before ducking down to footsweep him off his feet should she miss. Hopefully he will fall for at least one of those.

Spike has posed:
Spike flips over the tombstone and dosn't give Buffy a response as this is a fight. And..yet Spike knows where this may lead, not that Buffy's in the mood to do anything but slay him. Spike ducks behind the tombstone, watching over the top as Spike moves to another tombstone and watches Buffy. He's worried now. He knows what he did and didn't do. Instead, Buffy's doing her thing. Spike's doing his thing, and Spike....well....Spike's being himself.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers glowers at Spike as he plays hide and seek, cowering like the coward she always knew him to be. "I always knew you were a coward..Come out here and fight me! Let's end this!" she rushes at him, picking up speed this time punching *through* the tombstone he attempts to hide behind, and again she attempts to stab at him with her stake, not necessarily dusting him just yet, but attempting to pin him to the ground if she can, before throwing multiple punches at his face. He may be fast, but she's faster. Surely at least one punch will hit.

Spike has posed:
Spike does come out swinging. It's not he's called a coward. No, He's been called worse. Instead, he's takena blow right to the pride. If anything /that/ hurts. So he comes out swinging and catches Buffy on the side of her face, full force. He screams in a raw, pure, blood chilling, bone searing pain and clutches his head. Damn it, the chip interfered and he's hurting just as bad now. In clutching his head, Spike's got the sleeves of his duster rolled up, too. "Make it stop" he grunts at Buffy. "Make the pain in my head stop. You can't...you...can't...cut it off either" he says. "Make it stop though" he adds. He's aware they've talked about blood, but right now he's too hurting to realize he's given her a perfect target to, well, take his blood. Powerful vampire, sure. Power vampire with the mother of all chip caused headaches? Oh yes. Spike's irritable. "Don't. Don't stake me" Spike says sounding, well, unhappy over this. "No, Buffy. Don't stake me. That's the easy way out" he says. Then he has an idea. If she thinks he did it, he'll pitch a n idea ot her. "Listen to me. You think I killed that woman, right. She'..." he gasps. "Human. I ihit you. I hurt like hell. You think I did that t to that woman. You...you think I,....I'm innocent. I swear it...Listen to me, Buffy" Spike says. Even through barely being able to speak, and clutching his head with both hands....he's still sorta making rational sense. Somewhat.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers gasps as he punches her the side of her face. But when he screams out in pain, that causes her to hesitate just a bit. The chip..Is it still working? Her frown deepens, reaching out to grab him by the wrists while he is momentarily weakenned by the chip. "Dammit..You're just toying with me again..Just shut the hell up already!"

She's already enraged at the sight of the dead girl, still blinded by her fury to reason this out. For all she know, it may have just malfunctioned briefly enough for him to kill the girl. For all she knows, this is all just an act. "Her name was Cheryl. She was my friend, my classmate..And you KILLED her! How dare you!?"

When he pleads with her, Buffy just laughs, "Oh don't worry, I won't stake you..Yet. Not until I've done this first.." and with his sleeves rolled up, she plunges her large needle into one of his arms, drawing out a large amount of blood, which is bound to hurt a lot for someone who relies on blood to live.

At the same time, she lets the crucifix on her necklace dangle close enough to his face to potentially weaken him enough in these close quarters that she is actually able to draw out a significant amount of blood before he can jerk away. Hopefully.

Spike has posed:
Buffy does. Spike's weak, but...."Buffy, listen" Spike says sounding weary. "You stake me, you stake somebody who witnesssed what happened. That girl is dead, and I staked the vampire who did it. I can give you information" Spike says, looking worried. "Doesn't the chip hurting me when I hit you prove anything?" Spike ads. It's the best proof he's got. He knows /one/ way to calm Buffy. But that's a ticket to a one way staking. Plus that crucifix is, well, it's sorta distracting him too. Spike's worried, Buffy gets angry and breaks things. Preferably, not Spike. "I didn't even kill her" Spike protests weakly, and then world goes black and Spike thuds out cold, against her ankles. It's almost like he's a cat rubbing against her. Only in tn this case, deblooded vampire, out cold

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers pauses only briefly as she draws blood from him, seeing something in his eyes that makes her hesitate. Would Spike, her Spike, really do those things? Was it really just a set up? but she's still blinded by rage and grief to stop. She draws a large amount of blood from him, enough to fill a decent sized vial that's attached at the end of the needle and once she obtains enough of it, she jerks out the needle, sealing up the vial with a screw cap lid before putting it away for safe keeping. Once Spike is out cold, she pulls out her stake, aiming it at his chest. She could easily destroy him now, take out her revenge on him..But..She cant. It's Spike afterall. "Spike.." she sighs, cradling his face in her hands, dropping her stake. "Dammit, what do I do?"

Spike has posed:
Spike's out cold, but..he looks so peaceful and helpless, it wouldn't be fair really. Spike's eyes flicker open for a moment and he looks at her ankles, then peers up at Buffy. "Hi" he says weakly.

"I don't feel good" he admits and looks to Buffy with a lost, confused look. He stays put though, he doesn't trust himself to get up, but...Buffy's here, it's going to be okay. Spike looks up to Buffy again, that same look in is eyes as he watches her and slowly, carefully gets to his feet, swaying on his feet a little, clutching the tombstone as he watches Buffy again. She's here. He reaches out to her, gaunt and pale, and worried...and...a touch scared, or a whole lot scared.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers blinks slowly, still cradling his head in her hands. "Dammit, Spike. I really hate you.." she hates herself for nearly killing him. With a sigh, she shrugs out of her jacket, wearing a sleeveless tanktop underneath. And she offers him her arm. In desperate times, she doesn't have time to bring him back to her place for some blood. Or at least, maybe she can give him enough to get him on her feet and back to his place. "Just shut up and drink."

Spike has posed:
Spike looks to Buffy shrugging out of her jackt and goes to bite her wrist, but...he pulls up short. He blinks confusedly. Then he peers at her wrist and tries again, again pulling up short like somebody jerked a leash, he's biting empty air. "I....I...." he says, "I've no idea. Is this the chip's doing?" he asks then looks up to Buffy. "Keep a hold of me" he says gently. "I...I...bloood in my sub basement" he says keeping a hold on her arm, as he looks Buffy dead in the eyes. "I'm sorry" he whispers gently.

Not that he's about to let her go. Instead he has an idea. "Scratch your arm and draw blood on the stone" he said "Put it in something...I.....don't think I can hurt you" he admits softly, "I don't want to bite you, Buffy" he says, and puts his feet in it. "It felt good, you cradling my head" he admits. That /may/ be the blood loss talking. Spike's looking fairly out of it, but....he may well be able to think up a way to get blood from Buffy without directly hurting her?

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers rolls her eyes as she realizes just how helpless he is. How could she have been fooled into thinking he was to blame for her friend's death, when he cant even bite her? With a sigh, she cuts her arm deeply with her knife, letting it pour onto the nearby tombstone. Okay this is creepy on many levels. She winces at the amount of blood she lets flow and catches some of it in an old paper coffee cup that she had kept in her bag from coffee that morning.

It dribbles down, just enough to fill a third of the cup. "Here.." her hand shakes as she tries to recover from losing a sizable amount of blood herself, handing him the cup. "At least it'll give you the strength to go home." oh crap, does this mean she has to nurse him back to health too? Way to go, Buffy. And again she is reminded of how much more she cares about him than she's letting on.

Spike has posed:
Spike hands the cup back after drinking. "Yes it's creepy but we are in a graveyard in....oh shit. Bloodhaven. Crap. I moved to Gotham....bloody hell. How are we gonna get back home?" Spike says leaning against Buffy. He's moved so his head's near her shoulder and he leans into Bufy more. he's not saying he likes how it feels, but he does. "You know" Spike murmurs. "I'll tell you what happened, but you may need to help keep an eye on me, okay?" he asks."Can you...ask Willow to help with this, some spell or, or...something?" Spike asks gently, then finally just goes to lay his head on Buffy's shoulder and reaches up without realing it, hand going to her hair. "You are good you know that?" Spike murmurs gently. He's not letting on he cares for her way more than he does ever let on. Still, Spike's looking less liable to faint on the spot, too, he reaches out to Buffy as well, he's not about to tell her ot carry him home, but if she does or thinks about it he won't say no. He'll even keep his snark in check, too.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers sighs, wrapping an arm around his shoulder to support him some, although she does nothing about the cross about her neck. Y'know, incase he tries something stupid. Like kissing her. "NOt saying I trust you any more than I ever had, Spike. But I'll hear you out..And might not stake you quite so quickly." her voice is tense, she's not happy about this whole situation, she's still not entirely sure she should be trusting him but.."Forget it, my mom's out of town for a few weeks. We can crash over there. It's just a couple of blocks away." And she carefully leads him out of the graveyard.

Spike has posed:
Spike nods weakly enjoying her arm around his shoulders as he falls in lock step with Buffy. Kinda hard to do anything else given the Slayer's got an arm around his shoulders, and he's relaxed. "Alright" he says gently. "Crash at your place sounds good. Alright, I'll stay out of trouble" Spike adds, watching the cross. So much for being the big damn hereo and making out with the Slayer. But all in due time...as Spike's trusting Buffy more than she trusts him. Which is funny to the vampire, as Spike's watching Sunnydale go past, "Funny to think I got in this mess by doing the right thing" he murmurs. Oh yes, Buffy may have to help nurse him back to health. So your mom's out of town, okay no awkward questions. It's bad enough Faith's jumped on the Spike is dating Buffy thing. I swear when I get better and see her, I will punch her, chip or no chip" spike says as he's letting her carry him along, his feet working to keep him upright too. "Oh and thank you" Spike adds. He's not feeling that good, he could have baited Buffy into solving issues with her fists and that'd lead to stuff...but here they are coming back to her family's house. Spike blinks a few times with a little laugh. "Am I getting the Buffy Summers tour of Sunnydale?" he jokes weakly. "And on your right is a gravestone, please keep your hands and legs away from anything that can summon the undead" Spike coughs, shaking his head.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers frowns deeply staying quiet for most of the journey. It's only about a 10 minute walk away, but she's already feeling tired with all the blood she siphoned out of her arm, and she only could find a large bandaid to cover it up for now; Even so it trickles over a bit, making things messy. At least the jacket holds it in place for now.

"Doing the right thing?" she arches a suspicious bro at him but shakes her head. Really, she's not sure she wants to know, even though she really needs to learn the truth and stop jumping to damn conclusions.

"Faith is an idiot and I'm gonna have to chase her out of town when I see her next. This is my turf now, and I dont have time for a trouble maker like her.." when he thanks her, Buffy just shrugs as they turn a corner. The house is at the end of the block. "Nothing to thank me for. Just a little bit further. Don't faint on me or anything. I'm not carrying you.."
