Owner Pose
Clark Kent The Afternoons by the various embassies do draw in some crowds. Especially when someone studies the routines. Typically, this is just business owners willing to take a gamble, like offering the delegates of a nation food that tastes like the motherland. This includes the Greek and Romanian places that vie for attention from Themyscira.

While Diana may, or may not, partake a few of the guards find it to be passable. Some may like it, but they will never show admiration with words. Not until it tastes like the offerings of Themyscira. But a stray gold, or bronze coin, worth next to nothing to the guards speaks volumes when taking to coin dealers. It definitely keeps these places trying.

Two of the guards are finishing up a meal. One of them gets a tap on the shoulder. The tap comes from someone equal height, maybe a little shorter. Basically, someone not deemed a threat upon site.

"Go away," she grunts. The embassies attract many and several are annoying.

"I was just wondering if you could deliver a message to your-." The person behind the guards begins.

"No one will speak our Queen without an appointmen-" a hand grabs at the guards face by reaching down. A second later they're slammed into the ground. The other guard stares at the figure. It's a woman and she just keeps growing. A long black trench coat now looks like an ever-shrinking suit jacket. Suddenly, "Rip!" it tears away. Looming above the Themysciran guard is a woman that's easily ten feet tall now. She has red hair, a yellow body suit with black that runs up the sides. Small accents of red litter up the legs. On the outside of the glove, and the inner collar, of this suit are a cheetah pattern.

"As I was saying," the redhead begins, "I have business with your Queen. Get her," and that's when the woman keeps growing. They're easily at twelve feet now. People are running and the guard, feeling very outmatched, runs back to the embassy.

Diana would know who waits for her. Giganta.

At least today won't be boring.
Diana Prince Diana Prince was in her office when the alarm was suddenly raised. She frowns, looking up just as one of the head guards ducks in, "Princess, we are being attacked. There is a women who keeps growing taller. She is very strong!" comes the hurried briefly.

Yes, Giganta. But why?

Rising, Diana was dressed for Embassy meetings in a business pant suit, not for battle. There was no time to worry about it, however. Kicking free from the flats she wore, she ran to the front of the building and outside just as the demand is made.

"Giganta. You know Queen Hippolyta is not here. Whatever you have to say can be said to me." It's a firm, uncompromising statement that seems less forceful when Wonder Woman is dressed in a power suit.
Clark Kent "We both know who the real Queen of your people is, Wondy," Giganta paces a little bit. "Come to American soil." Giganta gestures a little bit. "Word is, you've gone soft. All the paperwork. Figured, I'd get me a crown," she gives a devious smile. That's not how it works, but she imagines some people would believe it. Those people could be used to gain something bigger. It's a process.
Diana Prince Diana Prince shakes her head, "I'm not pretending to be the Queen. I am the princess. I have the authority to represent the Queen." She tilts her head, still in her work attire.

"Tell me, Doris. Who is it that you represent."

It's a mind game. An attempt to distract the towering woman away from attacking anyone else and to see if she can be tricked into actually revealing details about what she really wants or who she is working with.
Clark Kent Giganta smirks a little bit. Then she shakes her head. "People don't see the Queen as often as you. It's kind of like the Royals. Some see the son as more of a King than the actual King," and then she shoots Diana a look. "What do you even fight for? What do you even do? Where's the Wonder Woman of old," she nods then waves a hand at the suit.

While Wonder Woman is trying to distract, Giganta is looking to goad. She wants to know if the rumors are true. Has Wonder Woman lost an edge. Rumors say she's even more of a hermit than Batman these days. But, rumors do tend to spread. When they spread details often get magnified.
Diana Prince Diana Prince remains calm, her senses alert. She isn't going take the bait and start a fight. There are still a number of innocents around and she wants to give them time to get clear. Inside the Embassy, the Amazons are getting the staff to safety.

"The People here do not see their president as often as they do other heads of state" she says matter of factly.

"You know well that I do not wish to fight. Not because I can't. Because a hand offered in peace wins more disagreements than a closed fist."

Is it frustrating that she hasn't changed into her armor? That she is just talking?
Clark Kent "Not in this country," Giganta is quick to point out how the media in some places do love their leaders. She sees Diana is not taking the bait. A heavy sigh leaves her lips. "Suit yourself," and the woman focuses adding on another two feet. So she's near fourteen to fifteen feet tall. The woman grabs a car door and pulls it off the hinge.

Metal groans as she pulls it off the hinges. "Snap!"

"Suit yourself princess," the voice booms and she draws back the hand holding the car door like a discus and she tosses it out -toward- the civilians. Not going toward international ground via the embassies, but there are a lot of people on U.S. soil that could get impaled or rammed by this thrown door. And Giganta is throwing it without a care. Putting all the strength she can muster then toss. Unless someone stops it before or after. Heroes do tend to break positions when morality comes into play.
Diana Prince Diana Prince watches and frowns. As the car is picked up and thrown, she rises in the air and flies after the vehicle turned projectile. She may not be a member of the Flash family, but she still has plenty of speed at her disposal. Placing herself between the car and the innocent people it has been aimed at, she slows it down enough that people can scatter but not so much she can avoid being slammed into a delivery truck. The car sandwiches Diana against the truck and for a moment she isn't visible. Surely it didn't crush her?

A moment later the groan of metal is heard as the car rises up. Underneath, Diana holds it, her face frowning now. Her business suit is ruined and torn to shreds. "That is -enough- Doris. If you are here to mock me, do it. Harming those who have nothing to do with me is not acceptable." The car goes flying back toward Giganta as Diana rises into the air, hovering in her tattered suit - but only for another moment. She crosses her now visible bracers and, with a silver white flash as bright as the sun, the suit is instantly replaced with her iconi red and gold armor and blue leather skirt. The lasso Giganta is all too familiar with hangs from her hip.
Clark Kent Gignta actually stops to see what Diana does. Part of her is sad, another part of her is quite happy. Like an old spark of something is ther.e Something she would rather be the one to snuff out. Still, it means thsi fight isnt' going to be easy.

"Well, since we're here anyway," she starts to grow and tries to bat at Diana with an open palm slap. Trying to drive her either downward into the straight or down and across, toward the base of a building. That's the hope.

This is what Giganta wanted. A chance to take a shot at an old "friend." It's just she heard some rumors that may ahve been -greatly- exaggerated instead of only minorly. Either way, she's in this now and ready to fight Wonder Woman until either one of them goes down for the count.
Diana Prince Diana Prince doesn't want to fight. That's the thing that crimnials don't understand. She is a warrior. A soldier of the Amazons. Despite the fact that her father is Zeus and prone to fits of anger, she is much like her mother. Slow to anger but firm. She is prepared to fight, but she takes now pleasure in it.

"Doris. Stop." She issues the command only to be slapped and smashed to the pavement like a doll in Giganta's larger hand. Pinned by the large hand, spider cracks radiate out from the outline of her body on the street.

Gritting her teeth, she grabs one of Giganta's fingers, her middle one in fact, and pushes up so that it bends backward to the point of pain.

"Doris. Stop this." Still seeking a peaceful resolution. Maybe she has gone soft?
Clark Kent Giganta cries out in pain as the middle finger bends back in a way that it shouldn't. The hand quickly retreats, giving Diana an opportunity to lift herself.

"What's the old saying? 'If you want peace, you must prepare for war," and Giganta tries to punt Diana. If the kick lands, she'll definitely banter more. If it's countered, the banter will stop. A simple miss could cause words to go either way.
Diana Prince Diana Prince quickly rises up to hover at Giganta's shoulder-height. "You're mistaking my choice not to immediately fight you for weakness, Doris." Her voice sounds sad. Disappointed.

The kick does, indeed strike her. But any expected depiction of Diana as a sportsball flying the other direction fails to unfold.

Giganta's foot stops where it contacts the princess because Diana's arms are outstretched and stop the blow.

"Doris. Stop." The tone is now that of a disappointed mother. Firm and commanding. But who says it'll have its own desired effect?
Clark Kent "Word has spread you've gone soft. Best reason to strike," Giganta aadmits honestly. Her eyes hold hatred and ambition. And she expects Diana to skip across the streets like a stone. Yet that doesn't come.

Giganta just gets madder. It's that tone and the desired outcome not happening.

The leg lowers, raises and she tries to stop on Diana since she's wanting to stop the blow from happening.

"YOU'RE WEAK!" there's a layer of humiliation mixing now. Because she's against that outcome still. Somehow Diana still defies all the expectations.
Diana Prince Diana Prince sighs inwardly. "Peace is not weakness Doris. The abuse of power against the powerless is weakness." Giganta is, without question, powerful. But Diana has the power of divinity within her.

"I forgive you, Doris. You have been misguided, perhaps lied to and manipulated by someone. You are better than thi.."

That foot comes down to stomp her and succeeds in pushing her toward the pavement. But it is in that moment that Diana stands firm. Feet spread for stability, arms raised above her head to defy that massive foot weighing down atop her.

"I have been patient and have given you every opportunity to stop." Her tone is disappointed now.

Grabbing that foot, Diana fights back. With a powerful push she topples the giantess into the Themysciran Embassy's grounds - where all property damage will be limited to Amazonian territory.

As soon as she has overbalanced Giganta, Wonder Woman rises into the air, her lasso in hand. She throws the loop toward Giganta's nearest ankle.
Clark Kent Giganta feels that foot stopping and then it won't go down more. Then foot rises and Diana pushes the other woman down. Giganta staggers from the motion.

And the lasso of truth goes around Giganta's ankle. The threads glow witha golden life and Giganta speaks. "I heard you were weak. I wanted to take over your spot by force. You're not supposed to be this strong! Everything I heard!" she cries out with anger, frustration and truth slipping past her lips.

The lasso doing what it is made to do. Giganta expects something bad is about to happen.
Diana Prince Diana Prince holds the lasso tight even as she draws its length toward her. In a moment she has Giganta's other ankle wrapped. Then she rises into the sky, pulling the giant villaness into the sky behind her. It was time to leave the city and risk of civilian damage behind.

Once outside the city Diana before she accelerates. Giganta can endure it. The trip is just about an hour when it finally ends.

Landing in front of Belle Reve prison, Diana holds firmly to the lasso. "Sit up Doris. I am sorry that it has come to this. I gave you every chance to yield."

From within the supermax compound comes several units of security trained in dealing with high risk prisoners.
Clark Kent Giganta tries to fight it, but Diana knows this routine. The motions are tried and true, Giganta gets lifted upward. She tries to reach for Diana again and again. Giant swaps from those hands. All of them futile. One, or two, may get close.

"I'll get you Diana!" she cires out at one point. Then Diana begins to lower downard toward Belle Reeve. Her face turns into a glower. Giganta begins to return to normal size as guards are coming out with proper restraints to surpress the powers for now.

Anger and hatred fills that face, and it practically bleeds from her eyes. She did not want ot go back. This wasn't how they day was supposed to go. It's the complete opposite.
Diana Prince Diana Prince watches, but there is no triumph in her eyes. There is sadness. "I am sorry Doris. I wish to help you. But until you choose to change and wish to be helped, there is little I can do. I cannot decide for you."

Once she is detained, Diana removes the lasso, coiling it up again. Looking to the officer in charge, she shakes her head, "She is in your charge now. Please let me know if there is anything more you need from me."
