Owner Pose
Vorpal Early morning. Or, at least, early morning in Vorpal's world, when it follows a holiday. This means that it is about quarter to eleven a.m. and he has been moving in and out of sleep for the past hour or so.

Finally, in order to avoid the feeling of total shame that comes from sleeping in all day until late, he forces himself to get up and make himself some breakfast.

The weather is nice enough today that he can leave the window open, so he does and sits on the window-sill in his boxers, munching on an impromptu mozarella, tomato and dijon panino.

He thinks back to last night and shakes his head, and then he looks at the papers on his desk, the scribbling of an arcane sigil half-finished. Garfield's timing was the worst, showing up at a time where his own mental faculties were in danger by whatever was trying to come out of him. It was very near the surface now, and occasionally it felt like it would burst out of him...

"Everything just plain sucks," he mutters to himself and bites down on his breakfast.
Beast Boy      A second passes, and on the fire escape is a rather large tabby, perching and lapping a paw to clean off his ear.

The tabby cat, green for that matter remains perched, watching Vorpal until he decides to make himself known. Letting out a meow, still sitting at the window.
Vorpal Tommy frowns and looks down at the source of the sound. The green fur gives Gar away right away, and for a moment he seems to vacillate between opening the window and walking away.

He unlatches the window and opens it, "Come in," he says, finishing the last of his food.
Beast Boy      Gar slinks in, slowly at first, but eventually he was in. "I...thought you were going to let me have it at the Tower but everyone kinda felt the awkward." The tabby looks around, still wondering if Tommy has his clothes stash. "I don't suppose..." He comments, slinking over to the cabinet that once had them.
Vorpal Tommy huffs slightly and slides off the windowsill. He pads to the cabinet and opens it up. There is other clothing there: a suit and tie combo, several good quality pieces. "Here." He pushes them aside and at the very back is the red-and-white outfit, neatly folded and hidden by the other clothes. "This is what you were looking for?"

He drops the clothes on the floor in front of the green tabby and makes his way to the couch, sitting on the arm rest with his arms crossed.

"Let you have it at the tower? Whyever would I do that?" he asks with an almost jovial tone.
Beast Boy      Gar looks to the outfit, and sniffs at it. "Heh, yeah...that's it." He comments, taking the unitard in his maw and jumping off the counter, sinewy sounds from the cat before the human form of Beast Boy slips back on the clothes. He sighs as he threads his arm through one hole. "Because...I panicked. I dumped you faster than a bad habit and didn't say anything." He looks solemn at that.

"I don't expect you to welcome me back with open arms. But I did want to try to explain what happened."
Vorpal Tommy's heart skips a beat. It was easy to be completely angry at Gar when he was gone. That uniform always looked so good on hi-

Focus. He digs his claws into the arm rest just a bit, trying to focus on the anger. "Let me guess- you realized the whole 'liking boys as well as girls' bit was just a phase?" he pushes off the couch and walks to the kitchen, looking for anything to occupy his attention. He pours himself a glass of milk. "Or the fact that dating a freak like me wouldn't work too well for your movie star image?" He raises an eyebrow and takes a sip.
Beast Boy      Gar shakes his head. "No." The truth was pretty bad though. But the freak comment makes Gar's eyes go wide. "Dude, I don't think you're a freak any more than I am." He adds, before he grinds his lip with one of his bottom canines. "I had a dream, and it was super messed up. I woke up, and was so freaked, I had to track down someone for answers. I had to find The Chief, and after that, even more specialists."
Vorpal Tommy pauses. Normally, someone would be enraged that a dream would cause something like this- but he's seen enough, and been through enough, to know that dreams sometimes can be warnings. His current situation, for example.

"Go on..."
Beast Boy      "I dreamed that there was an outbreak. Of Sakutia, it infected nearly every kid under sixteen, and killed nearly all of them, and it was all traced back to one carrier. Me." Gar rubs his deltoid, looking nervous. "I killed almost a million kids, all because of this..." He holds out his arms, the green hue of his skin still apparent. "I couldn't...I couldn't risk that really happening. So I went to the smartest guy I knew, poked by SO many needles." He shudders, still having that fear.

"When it was over, they found the virus was inert, and no way was it transferable how it is right now."
Vorpal "I see." Tommy puts the milk down on the counter and looks at the floor for a few seconds. The gears are turning in his head and his expression does soften a bit. But then he asks, "And how long did these tests take?"
Beast Boy      "Months, six months. The Chief, and eventually dad, flew in so many specialists. Even quarantined me." He hated that, being so close to everyone, only to be closed off from all. "But I got to catch up with Robotman, and everyone. After it was all done, I...was afraid to come by, I took the gig for Son of a Witch, I promised myself that when it was done, I had to come back, try and make amends."
Vorpal "And throughout all of this," Tommy frowns, looking up, "You couldn't once tell me what was going on? What? Was it because you didn't think I could *handle* it?" He clenches his fist, "You'd rather let me think you walked out on me because I wasn't enough than to let me know you were afraid you were a vector?"
Beast Boy      "I didn't mean to lay that at your feet, Tommy. Once it was all happening, it was crazy. It wasn't because I didn't think you couldn't handle it, I couldn't." Gar keeps the sad look on his face, as much as he prefers to be comedic and happy, this isn't one of those times.
Vorpal Tommy takes a few steps closer to Gar and speaks in a quiet voice, "I can understand that. While it was going on and you were quarantined... okay. It must have been horrible."

He pins Beast Boy with a rather intense look. "But afterwards? You took a movie deal and you couldn't even send me a note? Gar, do you realize what I went through? And now... I don't know how I am supposed to feel."

He turns around and walks over to the counter, leaning on it with his back to Beast Boy. "I guess I hould feel good because you didn't dump me because you didn't want me, but I still feel like crap because I still had my heart broken. Even if the reasons weren't there, what I felt was still real, Garfield."

He turns around, "You should have told me. The moment you knew, you should have told me." He reaches up and brushes a hand across one of his eyes, hastily. "And you didn't."
Beast Boy      "I know..." His voice trails off with a small quiver. He obviously feels bad, both for what he did and the aftereffects. "I am not proud of what I did. And I wish I could take it back, but I can't." He looks up, chin down. "I'm sorry, truly."
Vorpal Tommy looks at Gar in silence, occasionally rubbing at his eyes. "So now that you've told me... I need to ask you what are you going to do?" He pauses for a second, and adds, "What do you feel for me, Garfield? Honestly."
Beast Boy      "If you want me to go away, I will, if that's what you're asking." Gar responds, but he looks back to Tommy with a little smile. "If you want me to stay, I will." Then the last part. "I dig you, I'm like a puppy when I see you. I think we are good for each other...when one of us doesn't run off unexpectedly." He pauses, holding back the instinct to turn into an actual beagle and start wagging his tail.
Vorpal "I'm... I'm going to need some time to process. All of this." Tommy says, waving a hand in a vague gesture. I'm also not... in a good frame of mind. I'll tell you why later, right now this is just us... but I had a run-in with the fae and they've left me a little... screwy."

He finally approaches Garfield. And then he sighs and puts his arms around the green Titan in a surprisingly tight hug.
Beast Boy      Gar nods slowly, looking down at the floor. But the tight hug gets a small surprise out of Gar, and a smile as he returns the embrace. "I don't think you're screwy. More like...nailish." He says, snickering gently into Tommy's ear.
Vorpal "Goofball..." Tommy says gently, and sighs, giving Gar a small nuzzle before he steps back. "... let's take it... one day at a time. Can we do that?" he steps back again, and sighs. "I need to be alone for a bit. Not because of you..." he quickly adds, "I just need to finish a report for Colette about... the fae stuff. I'll fill you in..."

He smiles a little. "I'm glad you're back Gar." He pauses.

"I... still feel the same way about you." He pauses, "After, you know, I stop being angry."
Beast Boy      Gar smiles, and pats Tommy's back. "We can." He answers, nodding to allow Vorp some space. "I'm glad to be back, dude. Let me know if I can help with any of the faeries, I'll kick 'em in the balls, or...faerie nuts, or whatever they got."
Vorpal Vorpal smiles a little and says, "Or you could take me out to dinner, sometime."
Beast Boy      "I'd take you to Tavern on the Green." He eyebrow waggles. "Y'know, if it was open still." He comments, then starting for the window again. "I'll call you. For real."
