Selene "No, the surrealist movement had flaws. Like...."5R
Selene is looking horrifically bored with all this. She agreed to chaperone a Death Dealer in order to get a bit of knowledge about art. It's not something she's amazingly passionate about. But. Selene's got a responsibility to her people. Which, amazinfly....included standing outside an art class and now cofffee. Selene though.....has come prepared. She's reading a research paper on Ancient Sumeria and has reading glasses on. Which is amusingly contrasting with her Death Dealer who has enough books to rival even the nerdiest student. Selene swears under her breath in Hungarian and groans. "Remind me why I..."

Selene's dragged by the hand over to where Kat's sitting as Selene's at leasst remebered to bring her coffee with her. Shaking her head Selene groans again. "I'm sorry. She's a little excited" Selene explains and slides into a chair looking defeated.
Ekaterina Vespucci Ekaterina Vespucci is seated at a small table on her own. 'Kat' as she prefersto be called is recognisable as a 'girl' who Selene might have seen in fighting a "hag" in the sewers. Kat helped out a bit - teleporting around and getting killed in a spectacuralrly final way. And then just shrugging it off. The small girl who is either late teens or early twenties looks up at her student and the 'death dealer' with confused large alluring cornflower blue eyes. "Eh?" she is very absent minded. Her security is not super present. On a very significant level of course she does not need them. But odd to meet so affluent a person amongst the commonfolk. She stammers her students name but then her eyes lock on Selene. "So two vampires walk into a coffee shop. Can you guys even have coffee?"
Selene Selene shrugs and looks over to Sascha. "You were dragging me over here, why?" she asked and nods to Kat. "See, Kat...you are teaching one of my Deth Dealers? I trust she's keeping up with classes?" Selene asks, looking pleased. "Thankfully, thankfully my house could use more art pieces. So" Selene shrugs looking impressed, "If it comes to that....then.....I'll have more art pieces to gaze at. Sascha will have another outlet besides killing" she adds and pulls a chair over for Sasscha, who excitedly sits in it.
Ekaterina Vespucci Kat leans back even further than before, "More vampires?" she asks Sascha. "I have met this one - your mentor before - in a devilish fight against a supernatural hag. I was looking for a Pokemon for Pokemon Go. You are parenting young Sascha here?" Kat addresses Selene rather than her student. She knows the both of them. Knows what they are. Doesn't really know why momma bear (Selene) is showing up.
Selene Selene nods. "In a way, yes" Selene says and looks to Kat. "I'm here to ensure she doesn't get into trouble. And I need information" Selene adds, hands on the table.
Ekaterina Vespucci "Trouble?" Ekaterina scans the information that was needeed. "Ok /only/ that? Seriously just that information. I have money - I'd require something more substantive in exchange." Kat's big blue eyes narrow.
Selene Sascha smiles. "I could paint for you" she offers as Selene speaks up. "There's rogue vampires stealing artefacts in Europe. I'm looking for information on the artefacts, vampires and....." she says, "I can pay you for it" she adds and leans forward in the chair.
Ekaterina Vespucci "You couldn't pay me enough..."Kat ventures. " I already have money. It has to be world shaking to merit a free." She quizically looks at Selene whom she has met before albeit briefly. "I can provide but I want to know what you are up to with said information? Vampires are stealing aretefacts? Which ones?"
Selene "There are rogue vampires in Europe who want to claim powerful artefacts for themselves" Selene says. "For obvious reasons, I don't want them to gain their hands on those artefacts" she explains and looks concernedd. She lists off powerful artefacts, "There's been thefts in Europe. Nothing stateside however.....yet" she adds, her voice a purr. "If they got their hnds on these artefacts, then" Selene sighs. "Powerful vampires that can and will attack the Tri State area to claim territory. It will be a bloodbath" she says solemnly.
Ekaterina Vespucci "There are other powers in play at the moment," Kat observes. "Why not let them lose and declare your criminal treason against a society of superheros." Kat cants her head. "How powerful are powerful vampires?" Kat has to ask.
Selene Selene shakes her head. "Because I want to keep my head down" Selene nods and looks worried. "Why would I do anything? I have to protect my people, don't ?"I she asks, smoothing her trenchcoat. "Powerful is able to take over a city and defeat Sentils with sheer numbers, and oh by the way destroy anything in their path by swarms of vasmpires" she adds darkly.
Ekaterina Vespucci "If by defeating the sentinels you mean espousing a warfare of conventional poltical influence then even I am numb." People begin to clear out of the Coffee shop at the rather focused exchange. Kat has been at the epicentre of alot of problems. "Sentils are Sentinels? They are whom? who are they protecting?" She has to ask.
Selene Selene shrugs. "Big robot things, one of the big industrial people, Trask I think makes them. They're supposed to help people. They don't. They just hurt people. If vampires can get numbers to swarm a Sentinel.....that's worrying" Selene says and looks concerned. "See" Selene says and nods. "You heard about the giant robots on TV, right?" she asks with a shrug. "Those guys are Sentinels" she says, Americaniziing her word choices.
Ekaterina Vespucci "They are just another hammer pounded agaainst the noble nail. I am an arms dealer. I have underword connections - I also got approached by Frank Castle and a few others about these robots. All I could offer is illegal araments. I do not know where they are from. If I did I'd have stopped it. I am a simple arms dealer." Pausing "A not so simple arms dealer if I can track down these 'Sentinels'. I have a few ideas for weapons against them." Kat needlessly clarifys.
Selene Selene listens looking worried. "You got ideas for lethal weapons against giant robots huh?" Selene asks as her Death Dealer is drawing on a napkin. Apparently, Death Dealers get bored too, Selene notices with a smile. "You're an arms dealer, and yes, a lot of things" Selene says, "A lot of things are hammers pounding nails as you said" she says and looks serious. "Arms dealer. Would you be willing to help us in our war against the lycans?" she asks cautiously. She doesn't want a paper trail, but she could use help really. Anything against the lycans really.....anything. Plus, Selene's looking for the advanage in the war vs the Corvinus wolvs. That, and she's absolutely determined to win this war.
Ekaterina Vespucci "Maybe. Your war is not one that I have kept track of frankly. I know only little of the players. As for helping you - truly - well I have been around for a while. You know I am an immortal? Not in the same way you are. You must have an inkling." Kat has not bothered to disguise her natuer of late. There are so many weirdos around as to make her positively mundane.
Selene Selene actually laughs, "Yes" she says softly. "I had an inkling, but I wasn't going to say a word" she says as her gaze goes from Kat to the Death Dealer, back to Kat. "My war is one that's heating up gradually. I'd like to have the upper hand in it. The human police are starting to use UV bullets or silver bullets. Or, that's what I've heard rumors of, anyhow. I don't like that any more than the wolves or vampires" Selene mutters with a displeased look over Kat and the Death Dealer practising what she's learned in art class, on a napkin. Selene though smiles a little. "A maybe is not a no. What if I told you that" she points out I've been looking for a sympathetic arms dealer for a long, long while and I'll pay good money for help?"
Ekaterina Vespucci Kat looks at Selene with those large cornflower blue eyes of hers assessing her clinically. Sacha ignored for the moment. "I can supply you. I have my own conflicts however to deal with that complicate things. There are perhaps only twelve of what I am. Our identities defined by certain things we choose to exemplify. We have corruption, hope, evolution - my big brother En Sabah Nur. My portfolio is Artifice - or politics. It seems to me if the police are equipping UV rounds then in terms of politics you are behind the curve. I already have enough money. Why should I supply you? I mean I can do for you what I have done for others - but why should I single you out for any form of special supply? Assuming that is what you want and need?"
Selene Selene nods, "I'm ahead of the curve in other regards" she says and isn't saying exactly what however. Instead, she's changing tactic. "I'm not asking for special treatment. Instead. I'm asking for the normal treatment. Weapons, and I can help you out if you need it. To a point" Selene nods looking serious, laying down lines she won't cross with regards to helping. She's not an out and out criminal, no. She's.....well, a warrior fighting her own war. She's got her own agenda....but it does align with Kat's....in places, in others they are a ways apart. She smiles to Kat. "Why should you single anyone out if you're an arms dealer? That's my question" she says, voice purring with her mix of accents. She's....genuinely curious after all, genuinely curious why Kat would single anyone out.
Ekaterina Vespucci "If you don't want anything extra there is little point seeking me out," Kat says canting her head. "Are you that remiss of people who will sell?" she asks seriously. "Or..." she looks to Sacha, "Do I just dome recommended?"
Selene Selene raises her hands. "We're remiss of people to sell, unfortunately. What special things?" she asks curiously, looking genuinely amused, then looks curious as the Death Dealer's flipped the napkin over, drawing on it with a pen. "Sacha?" She asks as Sacha looks up, "Hmm? Oh, yes, you come recommended" she says as Selene nods. "How could I say no to somebody teaching my people?" she asks with a serious nod.
Ekaterina Vespucci Kat smirks, "Oh I'll supply you. I was just wondering whether you wanted em to support you." This is a cynical transaction - too much so for her tastes. Her eyes reveal a marked discomfort. You believe you would be worthy victors in your bloodfeud?"
Selene Selene looks to Sacha again then to Kat. "I believe we will be victors. Whether we are worthy depends who you ask. Sacha thinks we need a different approach. I think we need to fight to the bitter end, for example" Selene nods and looks a little uncomfortable as well, as if she's realizing what she's asking. Rather, she changes her approach. "How about....you supply me, and I will return the favor so it's not me being greedy?" she offers, meeting Kat's gaze. Senelene's willing to concede ground to settle everyone's nerves. She's a true leader and understands war in all its forms.
Ekaterina Vespucci There is a measure of revulsion that Kat expresses when the 'fight to the bitter end' remark is made by Selene. "Bitter end," Kat echoes without comment. To the 'supply' remark - Kat leans away her large eyes narrowing defensively, "Supply me with what?"
Selene Selene shakes her head, watching Kat. "Supply you with things" she says, "Whatever you need from my people" she nods with a smile, not a cynical, cold one. Still though she looks to Sacha. "Sacha" she says as the Death Dealer smiles, "What do you think?" she asks holding up the napkin and turning it over to show off what she'd sketched with a pen, a landscape on an unfolded napkin....well, a landscape on both sides. Selene though shakes her head. "I'm sitting back, I'm willing to give ground here to change that look you have" she says softly.
Ekaterina Vespucci Kat throws up her hands with a slight smile. "We don't have much to offer eachother it seems. You pay. I give the guns." Looking to Sacha and Selene, "I'm going to stay here and drink coffee. If Sacha has any more paintings she wants to sell I am open to more conversation."
Selene "That" Sacha nods, "I can work with. See, Selene, you need more things in common" she says. Selene just got sassed by one of her Death Dealers. It works. Because Selene looks after her people. "I could paint" Sasha nods as Selene smiles. "That works, Sasha sells you pau our artwork" she says, suddenly promoting the young Death Dealer to coven artiste. Random promotion for a warrior...Selene sees it as a way to help everyonee at the table. Selene gets guns. Kat gets money. Sacha paints and gets money for painting. Kat gets paintings. Win win for all. "I lie where this arrangement is going" Selene offers.
