Trouble down in Mutant Town

Synopsis:	Crusader and Rory Sakura meet, in the process facing off against a criminal.

Crusader has posed:
Despite being a rather close knit community, Mutant Town was still well known for having trouble with crime. Small time stores robbed, people missing, gang wars, drugs, break-ins. You can find them all hear. At the moment all seemed quiet, the moon high in the sky and moon dotting the darkness above, even with all the lighting!

One large being, Crusader was up above on a roof. He altered his coloring to blend in with world around him. He was on the look out for any unsual activities. So far nothing, but anything could happen

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
Sometimes, things move in the darkness. Sometimes things stalk in the darkness, hunting prey: people or pets or even other things that go bump. This time, though, the thing moving in the darkness is not being stealthy. Down below, on a patch of sidewalk which is not especially well lit, something, or maybe someONE, is making a scratching noise and whistling to itself. The scratching noise is regular, continuous for at least five or six minutes. The thing leans back into an errant beam of less-dark, and is revealed to be ... maybe a human? Leaning back, examining the sidewalk apparently.

Crusader has posed:
Crusader heard the whistling and scratching and looks down to the ground, seeing who it might be. And that is when he saw the odd being poke it head out. He tilts his in observation, curiouse of the being, and finding himself distracted. But he didn't go down to greet, the point of being above was only to show if needed, and he kept it that way for now.

Not to far away a sudden cry goes out "Help! Im bei..." and cut off and muffled. It seemed to come from down the street a aways, not to far from where Rory and Crusader where. A store was being robbed and the owner being momentarily held hostage. Why alarms didn't go off to alert the police is anyone guess. But none the less it ment trouble

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
"Ahh kuso," a voice says from below. The scratching noise stops, and a sound of rapid footfalls starts at that part of the sidewalk and continues toward the cry for help. There's nothing visibly there where the running sounds are coming from.

'Why are you getting involved?' the unseen runner (let's call him Rory, that's a good name) asks himself, and answers, 'Because shut up, they need help."

Crusader has posed:
Crusader was not far behind. He runs across the roofs, having little time to analyze the voice he heard. There was trouble and he was going to help. He could hear the running, but not see the individual. Hopefully the invisible entity below is a good one

As they run, it shown become obviouse who was being robbed. A local antique store of all places. A truck parked outside was being loaded with goods by a small group of five. One seems to keep a look out for trouble, two were loading things into the car and the two inside were bringing things to the front to be taken. One could easily see inside the building that an old man has been knocked out.

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
Rory decides that being invisible remains a good idea, especially since it means that the humans robbing the ojiisan aren't going to see him and shoot at him. Guns are annoying. Some of them actually penetrate even an Oni's hide and can hurt like crazy. He leaps over the truck to peek at what they're stealing, then slips inside to check out the old guy, to see if he's still breathing and not bleeding to death. Old humans can be fragile.

Crusader has posed:
Unaware of the new guest, the crooks go on as usual. It seem they were going for old electronics and jewlery mostly. Either for parts or to resell latter. They seemed to also take anything small boxs that just looked valuble.

The old man who was actualy yellow and green in coloring was defnitly breathing, but beyound a good bash to the head he seemed alright. He didn't seem completly unconciouse as he seems to drift in and out, even manging a quiet "You won't... get away with this." but too weak to actually do anything

Crusader took had hopped onto the ground, the thump making the crooks outside look around. But there was nothing to see. Crusader looked inside from the window and saw the old man... he figured it was best to draw the men out and away. So he lifted up the man keeping watch and begin strangeling him. This was quickly getting the attention of the others.

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
"Shh, relax, old man. I won't let them rob you," Rory says. "Try to conserve your strength."

The invisible presence looks outside, seeing that someone is apparently getting the attention of the two out there, and moves on the ones inside, especially the one furthest back. He watches carefully for a moment to see if they're more than just humans, and how they're armed, but in any case, he moves with uncanny silence to a point behind the robber, and with a quick movement is wrapping an arm in a classic "blood strangle" sleeper hold on the thief. Even if he's part porcupine.

Crusader has posed:
Well that theif in the back was certainly part porcupine. His quills stand on end from the invisible hold. He tries to pry the invisible hand out calling out "Somewans in here!" His partner inside pulls out a gun... but hesitates.
He couldn't actually see anyone to shoot, and something outside apparently had a similar trick. "Dude, like quill it to sleep! The man in the stranglehold indeed makes the effort of pulling out one of his quill and begins trying to stab Rory... not that stabbing an invisible object is easy.

Outside the men where not fairing much better. The watch man knocked out, the other two were back to back trying to find whoever was responsible. The massive form of Crusader finally shows itself and looks down at the men. One immediatly runs away. The other braver fello quickly manvuer around and jumps onto Crusaders back, and begins unloading what looks like arching lightning.

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
Stab?? That's no good. Rory tightens the grip of the sleeper hold anyway, regretting slightly that Dad hasn't let him return to using Basher, his iron-clad club. Because Basher can put spiney jerks to sleep without risking his hide. Even now, the tiger inked across the invisible Oni's body has moved around to the back of him and is muttering complaints in his ear about not being a pincushion.

Crusader has posed:
The sleeper hold makes the man weaker and weaker untill he eventually just passes out. His spines lay flat again with no tension to keep them pricked up. His friend was begining to back up not wanting to deal with this... untill he saw the light show outside. He sprinted for a back door! "F*ck this sh*t Im out! Peace!!"

Meanwhile outside, the lightning had no effect on Crusader. It was just a snack to him. He reaches over his back and pulls the man off, the electricity waning. The man seemed to have weaken himself from attempting the feat. Crusader simply knocks him on the head, taking him out, befoe proceding to move inside to check on the situation.

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
The Oni drops the spined fellow -- he'll be out for a few minutes -- and races after the other one.

"Peace? What fun is that?" Rory says, and fades into view blocking the exit, a six-foot-eight wall of purple muscle in a tigerskin loincloth (and purple bike-pants over a dance-belt, because high kicks exist) and grinning with more sharp teeth than should fit into a human-like mouth.

"You want to fight? I hope you do, I love to fight," he says. "You won't get past me unless you're good at it."

Crusader has posed:
The man skids to a stop when the purple Oni appears. He gulps "Yo mean, want nothing to do with this!!" and he turns tail to run the other way... only to be met with a 7 ft wall of muscle like armor! A cross between a fantasy paladin and a space power armor.

Crusade stares the man down... and the man evidently pees himself being intimiated by the knight and Oni! Crusader raises an eyebrow before looking to Rory as if asking 'you want to knock him out, or shall I?'

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
The Oni reaches out and flicks the man on the chin with a finger. It's about the same as a hard human punch, for someone who can easily lift one of those blocks of stone that the Pyramids were made from. Actually he can lift about ten of them at once, they're just a bit clumsy.

"I told you you wouldn't get past me," he says. "Oh. Hello, giant armored man."

Crusader has posed:
The crook clearly didn't expect a flick to be THAT hard! The man spins around and falls to the ground knocked out. Seems like all but one of the crooks got caught. "Greetings man of purple" he says in reference to the Rory. He walks over to check on the old man "Mind calling police while I see to this one?" he request seeming to be all buisness at the moment

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
"Calling police? I ... suppose I could do that," Rory says, and walks into the office, where he picks up a phone and says, "What is dial code 110 in America?" because he has no idea how to get the police here. He'll facepalm later when he realizes that it's 911, and why that's a Meaningful Number, but for now, he's just confused.

Crusader has posed:
The old man has stayed still per Roary request. Crusader says "Be calm, The Crusade will help" he says quietly. He puts his hand on the man head and intergrates with him. Perks of being part symbiote. He speaks up when Roary poses the question "One does not know what this code 110 is. But if to call authorities, dial 911." and he also gives Roary the address to pass along.

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
Rory dials. DIALS, because this is an antique phone.

"Mushi... Uh, hello? Yes, I would like to report an attempted robbery. Four of the five robbers captured ... yes, they were. One of them used lightning. Another one has quills. They're sharp and I think they have some kind of poison in them. Yes, at 3123 C street. The back entrance of Older Than Dirt Antiques and Collectibles."

He peers at the phone blankly when she asks him to enter a number.

"This is a dial phone. You'd have to ask the owner why."

There is ALWAYS a siren in New York, so hearing one in the distance doesn't neccesarily mean anything.

Crusader has posed:
Once the old man is healed up, Crusader sets him straight and says "Help will be here soon." he says. Considering it was a robbery, he didn't expect the police to take long, hopefully no more than 10 minutes.

"If ask for name, give it as John Doe, that or hang up. Police shall be here soon. If you not wish to be found, be scarce" and he stands and turns heading for the door, his cape flowing after him.

He dosn't touch the car with goods, but he does seem to acend the building across the street and take up a position to watch, just in case. Good thing police do not look up very often.

Yokai (Sakara) has posed:
Rory nods, and leaves the name "John Doe" and finishes out the call. The police are definitely coming. He looks at the man... green and yellow? Is he a yokai? A monster? Or is he one of the mutants who live in this area? Or just very old?

The Oni finally bows to him and says, "I'll come back tomorrow when things are less terrible. And I'll have my friend watch to make sure you're all right. If something happens, he'll let me know."

The tiger tattoo coils down Rory's leg and steps off into the room, an actual, if transparent, tiger. It jumps onto a vase, and pretends to be just decoration. The Oni vanishes. Actually, he just turns invisible and just-enough-intangible to run out the front door and make it back down the street to where he was drawing before. He needs to finish repairing the door into his lair. Rotten kids and their hobscotcj or whatever that silly game is.
