Synopsis: Roberto convinces Lorna to go to Brazil with him.
Cast of Characters: Sunspot, Polaris

Sunspot has posed:
It has been a few days since Lorna and Roberto found out their powers make weird lights when they touch. Which makes for an interesting conversation piece, but ultimately not much more. It is not as if it boosts their powers or it would bring world peace.

He has been also concerned about the green-haired woman's mental health. Perhaps too concerned, given he doesn't really know her well. But at least that last bit is easy to fix.

Which brings him back here again. Knocking at the princess door.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna hadn't been doing well in the past week or so. Not since she'd learned the 'truth' about her mother's death and her part in it. Moreover, the temporary exile from Genosha (for her safety) had driven her even deeper into her depression. After all, she had little to occupy her mind beyond her fatal flaws and her own issues. The fact that her father was trying desperately to protect her meant little to the youngest of Magneto's children.

Only that she was yet again forced onto the sidelines.

At the knock on the door, the knob twisted and swung open, and the green haired Princess was already leaning on the door frame. A leather jacket slung over her black sweatshirt, a pair of ripped skinny jeans, a pair of steel toed boots, and a canvas, olive colored backpack slung over her shoulder. She eyed Roberto with an arched eyebrow as she leaned an arm against the doorframe and eyed him up and down.

"You need something? I'm heading out." She drawled, her voice dry and sardonic in tone. Her make was smudged, and heavily applied, her hair a tangled mess of curls around her cheeks.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto gives Lorna a once over in response to her near-glare. The smiles faintly. "I am just visiting, friends and family," he replies. He is wearing his usual business suit. Tailored, expensive and stylish. All grey and deep blue.

"You look better today," he offers, too. "Although you seem more geared for war than for calm business. Are you going in a mission?" He gestures to the backpack. He knows nothing about her 'exile' but it looks too little for going back to Genosha and too much for a trip to the city.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna eyed him up and down with a flicker of her green eyed gaze, a twist of her lips in a faint approximation of a smile followed as she entered into the hallway and shut the door behind her. She rolled her shoulders back, adjusting the grip on the strap of her backpack as she made to leave her bedroom behind, the room dark behind her without a single light on.

"No." She exhaled an amused breath, "Not a mission. I'm leaving." She murmured, walking down the hall slowly, glancing back at Roberto to see if he followed after her or not. "I need to clear my head, and sitting here doing nothing is not helping." She added as she moved, her shoulders rolling back with a slinking motion of leather against her black sweat-shirt. She was clearly layered up against the chill outside.

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto frowns faintly at the news, following the young woman in the way out. "Ah, sitting in your room might be of no use, but leaving your friends behind is not the best idea either. The darker the times, the more true friends are needed."

He speaks as if it learned so the hard way. Which he did.

"Now, if you need to clear your head, a day out in New York or Metropolis indulging yourself might do the trick," he admits, "but coming back here in the evening to share your experiences with friends will make them more pleasant on the long run."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna paused, twisting around to look at Roberto as he spoke, her head tilted back. "That defeats the purpose of leaving my cell phone here and going radio silent, you know. I want to get away from everyone and everything. I drained my bank account of a few hundred dollars, packed my bag, and I'm ditching my father's watchmen." She waved around and started once more on her path toward the stairs.

"I know he has people watching this place, it's where he sent me for my 'safety'." She snorted and rolled her eyes.

"So I'm leaving. Away. Gone. Poof. Somewhere that at least will require someone to report to someone that I'm gone." She muttered, her nose wrinkling. "I need to get out and away." She shrugged and continued down the steps toward the exit. Not really waiting to see if Roberto followed her or not.

Sunspot has posed:
"Alright," replies Roberto, still following her. "Ever wanted to see Brazil? I happen to own some of the best hotels in the country. I can offer you a fantastic tour through the nicest cities and make sure no one bothers you." And at least -someone- will keep tabs on her but it will not be her father. "Plus a private jet to Rio. And er... have I mentioned the tropical weather and the best beaches of America?"

Polaris has posed:
Lorna paused in her descent toward the stairs and her attempts to flee the Mansion and everyone therein. She blinked, twisting around with one hand on the bannister as she looked back at Roberto as he offered her another option. "I was planning to 'borrow' a car and not return it until I was done for a while. I was thinking of Texas and staying at shitty motels for a few weeks.." She drawled, arching a brow as she tilted her head considering him, and his offer.

".. and no I've never been to Brazil. I haven't left the country save missions and well, Genosha of course.."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto laughs, inviting Lorna to go on with a gesture. "You will find Brazil weather similar to Genosha's. But the cities are much larger, and far more chaotic, and ugly in some areas. Rio is a good place to get lost for a few days of self-indulgence. Brazilia is a good city to hide from the world and visit the jungle, which will leave you in awe."

He opens the door for the green-haired princess. "I have a Jaguar you can steal. Or perhaps you can let me drive you to the airport. We can have dinner while my pilot gets the plane permits and the route set."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna tilted her head back as she considered Roberto with a raised eyebrow. She rolled her shoulders in a faint half shrug as she considered him before as well as his offer. "You know this goes against my whole plan of staying on the down low, and avoiding everyone and everything for as long as possible? I was thinking of hitting the road and just driving where ever I wanted. Hitting up shitty diners on the freeway, truck stops.. the whole nine yards of American road trips and bikers. Getting shit faced without anyone to bother me.." She drawled.

Still she didn't argue necessarily, as she stepped through the door he opened for her. Though there was a curious glint to her gaze. "Why the offer? I thought you couldn't stand me without the Professor giving you a guilt trip about mutants working together?"

Sunspot has posed:
"That seems to me the worst plan ever," comments Roberto, still smiling. "Bad food and cheap booze will get you into trouble quickly. A single attractive woman in shitty dinners in the freeway will need to be a magician at street diplomacy not to get into a fight. And you do have a temper."

Wait... she thinks he can't stand her. That makes his smile vanish.

"Who told you I dislike you? Nothing further from the truth," he definitely leads now, toward the garage and his vehicle. "You are an interesting woman, Lorna. Beautiful and smart, and powerful. I think you are making a mistake supporting your father regimen. But that we disagree in a few matters does not make me dislike you."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shrugged, "Maybe I was hoping someone would pick a fight with me." She drawled, folding her arms over her middle and causing her leather jacket to creak under the movement as she stepped out of the staircase and into the hall leading to the vast garage filled with various cars, trucks, and motorcycles of various residents.

She glanced back toward him, "I can always throw a car at whoever pissed me off you know. My powers work even if I'm shit faced." She shrugged again, and pushed her hair back, looking unconcerned with the amount of political backlash that would earn her. Or Genosha as a result.

Still, his comments about her being interesting and beautiful earned a faint blush against the corners of her cheeks and she pushed past him toward the garage door, the handle swinging out under her magnetism. "I just figured that the whole rejecting my offers of political help were personal too. I dunno, silly, I know. I'm just too used to people hating me as an extension of my father or trying to put me on the throne as a puppet." She muttered, and heaved a sigh, pushing her hair back from her face.

"I reserve the right to split and fly off to the American west and get into trouble if I want at anytime, you know. I hate planes. I frankly want nothing to do with them."

Sunspot has posed:
"Killing a drunk biker in a bar fight even if he deserved it, would cause much damage to Genosha, the X-Men and your siblings," points out Roberto. She might think she doesn't care now, but she will care when she is not feeling depressed!

"Powerful mutants like us are to be an example for the rest, particularly the younger mutants, you knew this when you decided to get into politics, hmm?" He sighs. "Don't give ammo to our enemies, please."

He had not considered Lorna could hate planes. But it makes sense. Oops. Maybe he can rent a yacht? It might take a day or so to arrange for one and crew he can trust. Thinkthinkthink.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shrugged again, "I don't really care." She drawled, and glanced side long at him and made a whirling motion with her index finger. "I've just found out that I killed my mother, that my father lied to me, and that he knew about everything this whole time. Oh and also, he kicked me out of Genosha for my own 'protection'. The Professor wants me in therapy and medicated. I don't give a shit anymore Roberto. This is me being responsible by excusing myself from it all." She muttered.

"Otherwise I can sit here and wait for a mission that I'm not mentally ready for, and do something to actually direct endanger people. That's where I'm at, you know." She made a face and glanced down the rows of cars and motorcycles. Without waiting for him, the keys, or even acknowledgement that it was his car.. the engine to the most expensive looking Jaguar roared to life, lights on and engine purring to life under her outstretched hand.

"I'm driving by the way, I don't need a plane."
