Nyx has posed:
Well honestly even in the world of heroes and villains this is not something one sees every day.

Even with the proximity to New York City and it's over abundance of capes and web slingers.

Empire Bay Harbor, home to industrial docks and shipping facilities is currently under attack by a superhuman threat. A very large superhuman threat.

One superhuman threat though to be specific.

Giganta is about hip deep in the water of the bay, unloading cargo containers from one ship carefully onto a slick black looking ship next to it. She is moving with careful speed, seeming to study the containers one at a time, chucking the ones rejected at the cops and security down the pier keeping them at bay.

The ones stacked onto the fast looking black military ship are secured by mercenaries, the same ones who occasionally fire supressively at those same beleagured cops and security guards.

Giganta's durability at this size means the small arms fire isn't really a threat to her.

She is a giant sized problem.

Samantha is roused in the Triskellion because with all the chaos amongst the capes and the league with Superman being dead and all SHIELD has been sending the teenager on more and more heavy hitter assignments, like that asteroid a month ago with Captain Marvel. "I'm up.. I'm up..." helps she doesn't need to sleep really. She catches a lift to the helepads on the roof and then leaps into the air, wings of prismatic energy blazing to life as she heads towards the coordinates across the river.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana was in her embassy when the word came out that Giganta was spotted, up to her old tricks it would seem no less as well. It didn't take long for the Princess of Themyscira to mobilize via the use of her invisible jet from the roof of the embassy in Manhattan.

The jet soared through the air toward the location under assault and when it drew near in the clouds, Diana had a bird's eye view of the situation at-hand. She instructed her fellow sisters above the jet to continue the circle around the sight, and gave them orders to swoop in and fire on the boat that the supplies were being stolen to, and the mercs were firing at the cops from.

"Distract them, take them out if you can, but try not to shoot the items they are stealing." The Princess told her sisters who sit at the controls of the alien-tech powered jet.

While she...

"I'll be dealing with Giganta."

Wonder Woman launched from the back of the invisible jet and free fell toward the docks. Before landing though she sweeps through the air and pulls out her Lasso, causing it glow bright gold, while she whirls it around and attempts to wrap it around the giant woman's throat!

Nyx has posed:
Perhaps it is the glint of gold or the movement. Maybe Giganta is just more use to than most about the need to keep half an eye on the sky due to all the capes that try to foil her thievery.

Whatever it was though the giant managed to get her arm up and intercepts the lasso. While it is better than her throat being lasso'd like some unruly calf in a rodeo, it is still less than ideal as Diana has a solid lever still.

"Wonder Woman!" which is shouted up at the descending amazonian. It serves two purposes really. First off it alerts the mercs that a Justice Leaguer, one of the original Triad, is here and they better get hustling. Second off Giganta is so big that her shouts serve as a sonic cry, not like Black Canary but formidable able to damage buildings even and shatter glass, all directed right at Diana.

Samantha notes that Wonder Woman is in the fray ~Justice League has engaged the threat, providing backup~ is relayed back by Nyx to SHIELD. Out loud though Sam squeeks a little "Wonder Woman... woah... that lady is loud?!" before swooping down and around in a blaze of light towards the giant's back trying to get a handle on how best to help.

The Amazonians in the jet take over and follow Diana's commands, raining down 'gunfire' on the merc ship causing them to scramble for cover as the jet strafes the target. Giving the police a reprieve.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The sonic-like shout of her public name coming from Giganta washes over Diana after she'd ensnared the large woman's arm, causing Diana to get blown back a few feet before she regained control of herself and then gave a hard pull on her lasso that would tighten it all the way down to Giganta's arm, likely yanking her forward even possibly off-balancing her.

"Whatever plans you and your people have here, they are forfeit now!" Diana shouts back to the massive female Villainess!

The Princess' eyes behold the arrival of Nyx, though they represent an element she isn't familiar with, so she watches Nyx's actions - hoping that they speak for themselves to be an ally rather than another enemy.

The Invisible Jet streaks by over the ship strafing at the visible mercenary's aboard it, its impossible to see it, but the sounds of its screaming alien tech engines roars in the air like an angry banshee!

Nyx has posed:
The invisibility of the jet does make it very hard for the mercs to return fire. Which isn't to say they don't try though firing into the air towards the noise and where they think the gunfire at them was coming as the jet continues to strafe the ship.

Mostly though they are getting under cover and someone has fired up the engines of the sleek black military ship causing it to begin to move.

Giganta is very big, and very strong, especially grown this big. That said Wonder Woman draws her strength from Gaea herself and is exceptionally strong.

Long story short Giganta starts to jerk forward, trying to slide her foot out to brace herself.

Which is when Nyx makes her intent known, swooping up very fast and cracking the Giant Lady right in the back of the head, where it meets her neck with what must be a combination of speed and her own super strength. It is definitely enough with Diana's mighty pull to cause the Giant to fall forward into the water with a gigantic splash that sprays down the pier and a warehouse.. also some of those poor cops though they will be okay.

Giganta comes up spluttering with a cargo container she must have dropped before starting to throw them at cops, which she hurls half blind by sea water at Diana. Coughing.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The Jets engines grow less loud as the craft switches from being in pure flight mode to now being in a more nimble VTOL-style hovering mode. The invisible nose of the jet aims at the ship that is now firing up its own engines to try to make a break for open waters... inside it the two Amazonian women at the helm of the Jet control it to aim it at the aft of the ship they're firing on now, to try to firing round after round of shots at the military ship's engines, hoping to disable it, clearly!

When Diana's pull is successful - and she can see that Nyx is here to help - she watches Giganta go down into the water and removes her lasso from the woman's arm. She wirls the golden lasso up again into her hands and sweeps down over the docks to land on their edge, her eyes go to Nyx to get a better look at the one here to help...

But it only lasts for so long as Giganta once more surfaces and this time starts throwing containers! Diana stands her ground, however, as the container comes spinning in toward her! Her hands shoot up and she lets the big metal box slam right into them! *THUNG!!!* it rings out loud around the docks, Diana is driven back on her armored boots several feet before she just pushes the massive container aside with a heavy grunt and then stalks toward Giganta. "You are done here!" She shots back to the water-logged villainess!

"Surrender now, or face my wrath!" Diana draws her shield from behind her back now, still holding her lasso coiled-up in her right hand's grasp though...

Nyx has posed:
Well Nyx looks a bit Angelic hovering there with those wings of particle beam energy. They definitely seem to be some sort of technological power though.

And then there is the shipping container "Crap!" says Samantha and ... then thankfully it is hurked aside by Diana.

Giganta meanwhile spins around and backhands the distracted teenager in the SHIELD flight jacket, sending her spinning through the air and off into the ocean with a splash a good five football fields towards New York. Kind of like flatting flies when you are as big as the giant lady.

"Come on Diana.. .. we just got started!" Giganta spits some sea water aside and then charges through the water towards the amazonian princess on the pier moving to try to bring her fists down on her.

The boat isn't doing so hot... the engines of course are on a lower level... as are the propulsion system... which means the boat while stopped .. is now taking on water and klaxons are blaring. It is stopped accelerating though it is still drifting.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The Amazons at the helm of the invisible jet seem sufficiently happy with the condition they've gotten the fleeing military boat into so the jet peels off and away back toward the--

Diana breaks in on comms to her sisters. <<"Go and retrieve that person that Giganta just hit. She may need assistance.">>

<<"Yes, ma'am.">> One of the women aboard the jet responds as its engines come back on and it starts to propel itself onward toward those 500 yards away where Nyx had been smacked-off toward. When the Jet arrives, Nyx will see one of the Amazonian women leaning out of the 'sky' as though she were standing on a ramp that wasn't even there, offering her help should it be desired...

Back at the fight, however, Diana watches Giganta charging at her, and her shield comes up... but she quickly dodges out of the way of the initial strike from the mighty massive woman, rolling feet over head, then right back up onto said feet again!

Not skipping a beat, Diana lunges up and at Giganta's huge face! What comes next is a series of unforgiving shield bashes to Giganta's face, again and again and again, Diana tries to knock her adversary silly like this! Her ability to fly makes a bit of a nasty little heavy hitting nuisance for the big big Giganta!

Sam comes up with a boil of water, seems those energy wings would be very bad to touch directly as they vaporize the water around them as she surfaces. They flicker out of existance so she can accept that hand up from the amazonian. "Wow .. you're.. bigger than I imagined..." okay it is hard to tell on TV and honestly the lanky teenager looks like she would be 105lbs soaking wet. The fact that the Amazonian probably has to really work to help her up tells just how looks are decieving and how dense the kid is. "I should probably get back to it though... can you take me up and let me leap off back into the fight.. don't want to accidentally slice anything..."

Giganta is definitely staggered, she never really does well fighting Diana like this despite her size. I mean yeah she can land mighty blows of her own and people of a smaller stature than Diana's figurative one don't really stagger her... but the heavy hitters like Diana are a real problem for the giantess. "Y... " crack to her jaw "I hate you!" she can't seem to land a blow with her face being battered, so instead Giganta turns and grabs a cargo crane ... wrenching it from it's moorings and hurls it towards the copcars....

Wonder Woman has posed:
The Amazonian Warrior who greets and helps Nyx out of the waters is about 6'2 in height, has fiery red hair that is braided into a ponytail that falls back behind her shoulders, she's wearing leather armor with golden metal plates on her shoulders and boots, accents across the leather sparkle as well in golden hue. "You can wait here." The Amazon says in that strange Greek-like accent to the SHIELD agent before she motions to the ramp's edge.

If Nyx looks INSIDE the jet, she'll see its very much visible when you're inside of it, though it is all white and gray like the colors of a cloud.

The jet starts back to the fight now as the pilot controls it and starts to zip back to where Diana is.

Meanwhile... as Giganta grasps at the crane and tries to hoist it toward the police, it effectively gets Diana off of the Giantess' face... The Princess zips up into the air and uses her lasso to lash out with it and grasp onto the crane, lashing golden rope around and around it until she counteracts the momentum and tries to use it to create a swing that will make the crane come back around AT Giganta now, to try to clock her right in the forehead with the big metal machine!

Diana is ruthless, but also not seemingly trying to KILL Giganta, just stop her...

Nyx has posed:
Sam nods to the warrior "Thanks!" and does glance inside. Nyx is doing a lot of active scanning of the invisible jet and the properties as teenager stands on the ramp giving it a good view.

That was what Giganta was going for, getting Diana off her face. Of course the giantess was not really going for giving Diana a huge weapon with a lot of force she is able to sling shot right back into her face like that.

The blow makes a loud meaty thud of a noise and sends Giganta pinwheeling backwards looking very dazed.

Sam leaps off the plane and points one hand at the ship still drifting away towards open water, engines dead for the moment. A beam of light blazes down her arm sheathing it and then lances out and she slices the anchor restraints dropping the ships anchors with laser precision.

The dazed Giganta keeps blinking and then her eyes shut and the pinwheeling stops ... and she starts to shrink falling towards the water. Yeah a crane to the forehead was enough to knock her out.

Wonder Woman has posed:
What Samantha will learn is that the Invisible Jet isn't a solid mass, not in the traditional sense at least, its a type of temporary matter that seems like it is constantly being held in place like a 'thought' materialized into reality... its stuff she'll probably have to look deeper into at a more opportune moment!

In the mean time, when the ship is properly disabled, the Amazon who witnesses Nyx do this gives her a nod of approval. "Bad men, they'll get theirs." She says in a stern voice, but one of admiration for Nyx's efforts.

"Look." The redhead then says as she motions toward where Diana is...

The crane to Giganta's head causes the big baddy to start to collapse and thusly start to shrink as well! The crane is whirled around by the lasso and then 'caught' by Diana, sort've at least, she slows its descent down before she lets it gently settle onto the docks...

A second later then, the one known as Wonder Woman shoots off of the docks and dives down into the water with a resounding splash all around her!

What comes next are a few moments of peace and quiet... before Diana appears again, bursting up out of the water clutching Giganta inher arms! She soars back up through the sky and comes to land toward where the Police are.

Shedding water off of them both, Diana walks slowly toward the Cops, carrying the unconscious woman in her arms to deliver her to them... its a somber affair, one Diana wasn't glad to see - in that she had hoped Giganta had turned a new leaf since their last engagement... but it would seem not.

Nyx has posed:
Nyx salutes the amazonians at the nod of approval, then pivots to watch Diana deposit the crane and dive in after Giganta.

The villainess is out cold in the ocean and easily rescued by the Princess. The cops that rush forward when Wonder Woman approaches, carrying some heavy duty restraints aren't actually Jersey cops. One of the superhuman taskforces had time to mobilize during the assault and subsequent fight and they start to detain Giganta with practiced effeciency.

Sam will touch down by the police and Wonder Woman and just smile watching it all then turn to Diana "You're amazing!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
By the time that Sam arrives to where Diana is, the Superhuman 'Cops' have mostly taken control of the scene, they're able to deal with the merc shop most likely... as those mercs are going to be desperate to disembark that badly damaged vessel now.

Samantha is quite a bit shorter than Diana, so when she speaks to her, Diana has to look down to the girl, almost 6'2 in her armored boots, the Princess smiles quite happily, her dark hair is still wet and dangling down her shoulders on either sides of her head, but somehow manges to still look nice and good on her (super heroes, right?).

"And thank YOU for the help in distracting her." Diana now says to the young woman, reaching out her right hand, it wrapped in leather with the shining bracer on her forearm. "It is a pleasure to meet you...?" She fishes around for the young woman's name. "Are you hurt?" She asks too. "You took a pretty solid hit back there..."

Nyx has posed:
Law enforcement does seem to have things under control now. Coast guard and police cutters approaching the disabled boat shouting over loud speakers about no where to go and giving up, which the mercs seem to be grudgingly doing. The superheros could just fly over there again and their heavy hitter is gone after all.

Samantha looks okay, if a bit like a drowned rat that took a dip in the ocean in her plain shield fatigues and flight jacket which were not really built for swimming in the ocean.

She does though reacho ut with a grin now to put her hand in Diana's. "Samantha.. uh.. Agent Twining... and Nyx.. it's .. um complicated." ... Nyx is the greek goddess of night and an interesting choice of a name. Also since when did SHIELD recruit a teenager.

"Oh... I am fine... I mean wow she hits a lot harder than I would have thought but that rogue speedster was way worse than that..... I'm just glad she didn't hurt anyone." chipper and talkative.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana's hand is soft and the leather wrapped around her palm clings tightly to it. She shakes Samantha's hand firmly but not overly-so and then offers the smaller woman a light and singular nod. "Help from SHIELD is a good and welcome bit of support." She states. "You... seem awfully young though, and I have not seen you out and about before. Are you new to the agency?" She asks then.

One of the Officers on-scene comes to Diana to speak with her for a moment, it only takes a second or so. He asks her about Giganta's sudden reappearance and Diana explains this was random and she had no prior knowledge to this attack... He nods and then... asks Diana for her autograph. Even producing a super hero comic book to have her sign that he apparently had on him or in his vehicle!

She signs it, smiles and thanks him.

Diana then looks back to Samantha. "My apologies... for that." The Princess says then with a faint grin. "Such is the way of things..."

Nyx has posed:
Sam manages to get out "Pretty new... almost eight months since I went from curiousity to probie agent.. but I made full agent in like record time five months ago..." still chipper if a bit shy there. "They really only send me out these days if a meteor needs blowing up or something ridiculous is happening. Mostly it is a lot of training and paperwork... spy work is actually pretty boring." which not too surprising since .. well she took that slap really easily from Giganta.

Then there is the cop and autograph and all, she gives the officer a nod.

Once he is away she nods "I .. well I wouldn't know I don't usually stick around for the press or anything.. we have people for that I guess and they don't seem to want me talking to anyone...." she trails off "And I probably would have asked for your autograph too before my life got spun upside down really... now it seems ackward..."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana's hands now go to her hips as she takes her lasso from her left and reattaches it to her leather harness on her right hip. She then just rests them there as she softly nods her head to Nyx's words. "It sounds as though you are leading quite an adventurous and experienced life and what would appearance to be a very young age." She states with a hint of a smile. "But, as I have learned, ages can be deceptive when it comes to the nature of people with extraordinary gifts and abilities... sometimes they are much older than they outwardly appear."

Case in point, herself.

Diana gently nods her head to Nyx then just once. "I am impressed, Agent Twining." She uses that moniker for the young woman as it seems most appropriate if she is here on official SHIELD time after all. "You survived a very heavy hit from Giganta, who... has quite a punch. It means you can take a heck of a beating. I hope you do not have to take more of them though." She states that then and shows a hint of a grin.

Nyx has posed:
Sam runs her hand back through her wet hair, slicking it back a bit there. "Um... actually no I'm like nineteen as of August... I just have a very unique set of abilities and Stark thought SHIELD would be best for me so turned me over to them to handle. I am trying to be a hero though and do a good job."

"As for that hit.. yeah I am pretty sturdy... and if I get hurt..well Nyx just patches me up. Though hopefully I get better at dodging... I mean shit her fist was the size of a tractor.. I should have seen that coming and not been distracted..."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana remains before Samantha with a light smile on her lips, she glance si nthe direction of the task force that she'd turned Giganta over to though and releases a soft exhale. "She is a troubled woman." She states then, letting her stare go back to Samantha then. "She is vulnerable in her eyes and throat, though an overwhelming amount of physical force can do as... as I did to her today. Generally it takes a lot more super powered individuals to deliver that force, but I had an advantage here today in that she was slowed even further than usual due to being in the water. But--"

Diana exhales softly and shows a hint of a momentary frown. "She is not a well trained warrior. Her actions can be predictable based on that, let along the size she yields making it all the easier to tell her next attack. If you train more in such kinds of combat, you won't be so easily hit by her again... should you face off with her another time, which we all hope does not come to pass."

Then Diana shows a little grin again.

When the Invisible Jet lands nearby, it suddenly becomes entirely visible, as white as a cloud in the sky on a summer afternoon, it sits there on display looking like a large shiny arrowhead, with two Amazonian women stepping down the ramp extended from its aft.

Nyx has posed:
"That all makes a lot of sense... can't really get that kind of training in the Triskellion though so I'll just have to pick it up in the field like this. We don't really have anyone who hits like that lady did." because yeah even Captain America isn't that kind of swinger, he is just exceptional in his fighting and tactics. "Not even Hellboy.. and he has this huge rock fist..."

The jet distracts the teenager with Samantha turning her attention towards it. "That jet is amazing... and a bit confounding... temporary matter of some sort.. " she looks distant for a moment. "Alien in origin right?"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana glances to the Jet and her sisters who take up guard position at the foot of its ramp with their javelins held at their sides. She smiles at them before she looks back to Samantha. "Well." She starts. "You are always welcome to come to the Themysciran Arts Center for training. My sisters and I host classes there on a very nearly daily basis. At least one of us is always there, training those who qualify for the physical demands of it."

On the subject of the Jet though, there's a hint of a grin and Diana nods once. "Alien in origin yes. It is actually not precisely a jet, it is a summoning disc, that creates matter based on the desires that I have for it. It is most commonly in this shape though as it fits the needs I most often have for it as this... a transport for my people and for anyone who is in need of assistance." There's a pause then, another glance to the Jet, then back to Samantha.

"Though... I have had it in other forms, such as a domed building in the cold, able to create and contain heat for those in need. As well as also a... motorcycle." She grins then and says in a near-playful tone of her voice. "That one is the most fun."

with a light sigh then, her right hand goes up to sweep some of her damp locks of dark hair out aff of her brow-line, swept over it in the breezes out here in the cold... which doesn't seem to negatively effect the Princess. "It has been a very useful gift, from a very kind society of visitors many years ago now..."

Nyx has posed:
"Lansinarian." Samantham urmurs brow furrowed and then she blinks and zones back in more and turns to Diana "Well it is really awesome... transforming technology... aliens are pretty remarkable." a grin. "I'd love to see it do an invisible motorcycle.. but that is just because it would be humorous.. so not a real request."

Then she looks to the amazons and then back to Diana. "I'd love to come by and train. I'm sure the deputy director would approve that as a good use of my time.. thank you."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana laughs softly to this. "Well... they were amazed by our ice cream." She responds to the initial words back from Sam. "You see, that is how I have experienced other societies from other worlds. It is not so much that we, here on Earth, are behind them in the scope of technology, so much so that we have evolved in our own technology in many different ways as they in-turn have done as well. But, it is very detailed for every people out there amongst the stars."

A grin shows on Diana's face, even after all that happened here today, she seems to be in good spirits, likely because nobody died - which always makes her happier after situations like this.

"And, invisibility isn't a requirement of the disc's powers. Its just too useful not to make it as such." More grinning from the Princess then before she turns toward her jet. "I must get back to inform my colleagues of Giganta's incident here. Please do come by the Arts Center if you would seek training like my people. You did great today though, and I thank you for your help."

Nyx has posed:
"Thank you." for the encouragement, invite, and compliment one might assume. She gives Diana a snappy little salute and then nods. "I should definitely get back to HQ too... I have a lot of paperwork to file on this incident I imagine and a debriefing to go through."

She sounds like those are the absolute worst.

"I'll come by... thanks again! It was great seeing you in action..."

With that Samantha steps away getting clear and then the wings blaze to light, from her shoulders it looks like some sort of emitters probably. She gives one more wave and then launches into the sky heading back to New York.
