Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie steps outside and a bit away from the house and says "Ok, what happened, where was he, and why were you watching Bear?"

Nightingale has posed:
     Ooo, boy. This was one of those 'out in back of the woodshed' talks. Not something Shannon ever looked forward to. "I'm not sure this is going to be a short one," she starts in with, running her fingers through her hair. "But I'll try. Figured I'd go pay my respects in Metropolis when it was a little more quiet instead of the media brouhaha that the memorial had turned into. I had no idea whatsoever that Bean was going to be there. Didn't have a clue 'till things got really--and I mean /really/--messy, and I saw him heading into a tunnel that went god only knows where. And when I mean messy, we're talking about Thor being there... I'm guessing Wonder Woman... a few others I didn't recognize... as in something was seriously fishy at Superman's memorial."

     She sighs softly, shaking her head. "When I finally got back last night, Bean wasn't there. And I hadn't seen him back till he showed up in the kitchen a few minutes ago. So I looked after Bear. The basics... food, water, let him out to do his business, and made sure no doggo land mines were left behind on the lawn."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie frowns a bit and looks at her, and says "Did Thor, or these others go down the tunnel than bean went down or did he go by himself?" He asks frowning a bit at this.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon shakes her head. "They did not. Both Thor and Wonder Woman were right next to me. One of the ones involved in the incident... I'm guessing was a faithful of Rao. At least, if that symbol on his cloak was anything to go by. And to backtrack a little, I recognized the symbol after having seen it as Triage and I were leaving the original memorial service, and had to do some research to find out what it meant." She shrugs a little bit. "Rokk Krinn was the person's name, and I'm hazarding a guess he wasn't human. He got nailed in the fight at the memorial, and I was offering to help him. Wonder Woman pretty well nixed that, and took Rokk in for medical care and questioning. Half of what she and Thor were talking about didn't make an ounce of sense to me, but it is as it is."

Shrugging, she closes her eyes a little bit, replaying the events of the evening in her mind. "I'm not entirely sure if Bean was by himself in the tunnel when he got there, but when he actually went in, it appeared to be so. It got... messy, by the looks of it."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie frowns and says "So, basicly all you know is he ran off alone into a tunnel during a fight at superman's memorial?" He will double check to make sure he has this right.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods slowly. "I tried the bluetooth to phone hookup that we had worked out. You know, the setup we used at the coronation that let us coordinate pretty well. Tried hailing him to see if he'd answer. All I got was a 'Comm silence. Infiltrating.' from him. Then everything went to hell in a handbasket. I heard a pretty nasty explosion coming from the area of the tunnel. It looked like he got out of there, but I didn't see him after that, and he didn't come back last night."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Ah want a full write up of what you saw, and I will have to talk to him asap." he frowns a bit more at this

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods, and scratches the back of her head. "I might or might not have drop-kicked a pretty evil magic user who was putting out enough bad juju to get everyone on site royally pissed, afraid, anything negative you can think of...."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie frowns a bit more "Yes a full right up, asap, now lets get inside before Jubilee scares Alexis off by burning down the kitchen. Might have trouble getting her to come for thanksgiving

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon ducks her head, sighing a little, and rubbing her temples. Her wings droop visibly, and she tries to give Sam a hug. "You got it. A lot of it might not make much sense, because the whole damn thing didn't make sense to me. So much for paying respects quietly...."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hugs her back and says "Maybe Ah will be able to make it all make sense

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods slowly. "I sure hope so, because I'm still going seriously Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot on this one. And it's why I was debating talking to Jean about it, because Bean hadn't returned. I can tell you right now, I kept my mouth shut about the school. Whoever already knows, knows. Whoever doesn't, didn't find it out from me."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and says "Well you should have told us about bean last night, but remember we need to know, he could have been in serious trouble." He will lead her back inside

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon sighs softly and nods. "Yeah, Jean did show up in the rec room last night and I almost told her right then. But there were students from the general populace present as well, and I wasn't quite sure what to do. God forbid anything like this ever crops up again, how would you handle it?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her and says "You come to senior staff, and if normal student body is around you ask to speak t us in private." He makes it sound pretty simple

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods and hangs her head in shame, her face aflame and looking near to tears. "Gotcha. I was stupid about the whole thing."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Stupid not, but did not think things through, you should have known to come to us."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods silently, wings drooping in defeat and humiliation. There was no getting around it. She'd failed, and it was pure luck Bean was okay.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well lets get back inside and keep Jube's from burning down the kitchen. You will do better next time, but you need to make sure ya think things through and if your not sure on something come to one of us."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods and hugs Sam once more, fiercely, visibly upset. "Just a little... okay, a /lot/... annoyed with myself at the moment. Guess it'll be something to bring up in therapy later this week..." She follows him back inside and heads for the kitchen, to hopefully be of some help to Jubilee.
