Turkey Day part 2
Date of Scene:	30 November 2019
Location:	Xavier's - Dining Room
Synopsis:	Leftovers are yummy. Andrea feeds Jay some pie. They look cute too.

Cannonball has posed:
At the X-mansion there are a few "Thanks giving dinners" through out the day not that they have enough students to do it. Jeb and Ray have found their way back to one of these dinners. Teenage boys what can you do. Sam is following them around after having took them for a bit of duty at the shelter in Bushwick. Jeb will ask Sam as they walk along "I did not realize how bad some of the folks up here had it. Always thought it was all adventures and flashiness.

Rage has posed:
Making her way back into the kitchen is Andrea, who decided that she will snag some more pie, now that she finished off a dozen calls back home to her friends and family. She is dressed in a gorgeous colorblock kimono over a waffle shirt that is tied into a knot at the bottom to show off a hint of stomach. Snug skinny jeans with tears in them line the knees and thighs as well. "Hey guys." She says to the clan as she aims for the fridge.

Icarus has posed:
Jay had gone along on the trip to the shelter. After all, some of those folks were the ones he fed in the alley behind the club after it closed, with the leftovers from the kitchen. So he wanted to be there for them on Thanksgiving, be sure those he knew were staying in out of the cold.

Now that he was inside, he left his jacket in the entry way, leaving himself in with wings showing and an ugly sweater. It had a T-Rex on it wearing what looked oddly like an 1980s style Members Only Jacket and Santa hat, while it was standing in front of a fully decorated Christmas tree. Only, the T-Rex's arms were too short so the arms of the jacket were dangling down comically. There were cutouts in the back for his wings with a little snap to close the slot back at the top. Ma thought of everything.

"Hey, Andrea," Jay greeted with a smile as he settled in at the island to sit. He didn't go for the food immediately as he had eaten one meal earlier in the day. Not that he wasn't going to get more, he was just waiting for the appropriate moment to nosh.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Hey Andrea." He then turns to the two boys and says "Yea there is times it seems all good, but there are bleak times just like back home." He will look to them and says "When the Professor decided to help people here Ah sometimes wonder if he had any idea, we would all be trying to help folks down the line. Ah mean it was part of the dream, but it is nice seeing not just the folks here getting help but other places as well.

Rage has posed:
"Oh my God, that sweater is horrifying. I love it." Andrea says as she plucks a can of whip cream out of the fridge, as well as a large slice of pumpkin pie. She takes out a single fork and heads over to him, rounding the island until she faces him. Putting the plate down next to him, she squirts some whip cream on top of the slice, then cuts a piece off with her fork. "I've missed you." She says to the winged teen as she holds the fork up to his mouth, giving it a little wiggle back and forth. She can hear the Guthrie kids go 'Oooooooooo' in a playful tone, but her eyes doesn't leave his.

Icarus has posed:
That gets an arched brow from Jay as he looks at the fork then at Andrea. "Ma did teach us to feed ourselves by the time we were like...two. With utensils and everything." Yet he still opens his mouth so she can feed him the bite of pie.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie gives the boys a bit of the eye, and they don't tease Jay much more, that will be later. Jeb looks over, and will ask "Hey, when Ah come here next year will Ah get the room Jay has now, or will it be a different room?" Sam looks at him, and says "Ma, aint said your coming out here yet squirt." Ray jr, will ask "Um.... I gotta ask, I'm all good with mutants, and such, best friend, brother is one and all, but is it normal for as many to be in one family as you guys?"

Rage has posed:
"Your Ma didn't teach you everything though, I'm gonna show you the rest." Andrea says in a playful tone to Jay as she takes a bite for herself, stepping in to lean against him. She snags another forkful and holds it up to him, covered in whip cream. "It's normal that mutants run in the family tree, yes, but I think your family has one of the largest mutant families. It's really cool." She says to Ray and Jeb.

Icarus has posed:
"I think it is a lot more than normal yeah. Not sure why. Guessing something with Ma and Pa's genetics," Jay says with a bit of a shrug. As she leans in, his wing shifts to wrap around her comfortably. He takes another bite of pie

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head a bit as Jeb says "We are just that cool." Sam says "Really?" Zeb nods "Yup." and with that the two boys are getting their plates. And Sam looks over to couple and says "You wanting off work for black friday, or wanting to work it with double pay?" He asks of his brother.

Rage has posed:
"He's taking the day off, because I am taking him shopping." Andrea says with a grin as her brows lift upwards as her head plants on his shoulder, peering up at him. She holds up another bite for him as she curls into his warm wing. "Gwen reminded me that summer is coming and I'm gonna need something to wear for the beach. Annnnd.. I need someone to .. give me feedback on it." Her lips curve upwards. "I have a whole hour rented out at the mall at my favorite store. Dressing rooms are all mine."

Icarus has posed:
"That wasn't the answer I was going to pick," Jay points out even as she bats her lashes. "But I can do both. An hour for you to shop and then go to the club. Double pay will help back home and getting Christmas covered."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Well once you two get it figured out for sure let me know, how much you can cover, got a few that are willing to put in a couple hours here and there. The younger boys have their food, and point towards the dinning room Sam nods. As they go out the twins come in almost as if they are tagged in. Cissie "See told ya they were back." She will run over to hug Jay's leg and says "Josh, you know I like your wings on you right?"

Rage has posed:
Furrowing her brows, Andrea wiggles the fork a few more times, then takes the bite herself before she plucks up another one to hold it out for Jay. "I was kinda hoping the mall could become dinner afterwards and spend some time with you. " She rests her cheek in against his shoulder, curling her free arm around his waist. "So, how about Monday we go out?" A compromise. Sam can have him for the weekend, she gets him for Cyber Monday.

Icarus has posed:
"I mean I could do Sunday. It's just tomorrow he was talking about double play. But if you want to wait until Monday and not just sit around staring at teh computer orderings stuff, we can do it then," Jay agrees as he takes the offered bite again.

As the twins come in, they both get a quick hug, which involves removing his wing from around Andrea for moment so they could both get a full hug with wings involved as well. Then he sits back and puts that wing back around Andrea. "I would hope you do. They don't exactly come off," he teases.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit as Lewis uses the hugging of Cissie to get himself a bit of the whip cream on his finger. Cissie says "Well, Ah wanted to make sure, I told Shannon she had pretty wings, and Gwen does too, and if Ah got wings, would want them to be white like Shannon's not red like yours, but it is cause red would look funny with blonde hair, not cause I don't like yours, and I was worried I might hurt your feelings, and I didn't want to hurt your feelings. " Sam looks over "Cissie take a breath kiddo, breath at least every hundredth word or so." The little girl looks over at Sam and sticks her tongue out at him.

Rage has posed:
"I don't know. I like his red wings. I'm thinking of calling him Firebird." Which is not a Rooster and way more cooler than chicken. Andrea pops the bite of food into Jay's mouth once his wing wraps back around him, then puts the fork down. Her other arm circles about him to complete the hug as she rests her head in against his chest. "You can go shopping with me for an hour, then you can do your job and Monday, we can go out for dinner together. Pizza, right?"

Icarus has posed:
"Pizza yes, That was the plan. And I get to open doors and pay," Jay adds with a chuckle. He's making sure the ground rules are laid out. "Then we'll figure out if we want to do anything else after. Maybe a movie or something if we're up to it after all that."

He grins at Cissie. "You would look beautiful with white wings like Shannon's. My feelings aren't hurt." He reaches out to ruffle her hair playfully.

Cannonball has posed:
Cissie smiles and says "Pizza, that sounds great, and maybe a movie, where you can sit in the dark." She makes kissy noises and makes sure she dodges out of both her older brothers reach grinning up at them. Yea she was told she could not torment her brother to much but this is not to much this is just the right amount. Sam just shakes his head, and looks seeing how Jay takes it and and if he needs to real the little one in.

Rage has posed:
"I think that's a great idea, Cissie. A movie afterwards, which I can pay for, with popcorn." Andrea says with a smile as she gives him a tighter snug about the waist for a moment. She is all grins as his little sister makes kissy noises at them. Just to put a cherry on top, she turns her head upwards and plants a kiss against his cheek, followed by a bump of her nose against his jaw. "Woof." She says softly, then plops her head against his shoulder again. "I like your sister. She's the best."

Icarus has posed:
There is a bit of tension in Jay for a moment as the kissy face stuff starts. Then Andrea adds to it and he shakes his head, giving her a brief smile as she kisses his cheek then nuzzles, basically, at his jaw. The woof is what makes the smile more real, more relaxed. "Yeah, you would..."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles as Lewis adds "Girls ewww." with a mouth full of whip cream "Ok you two go find ma, and stay out of trouble." he moves to hustle them out making sure to grab the whip cream can from Lewis as Cissie can be heard to say "Gonna tell Liz and Mel I am her favorite."

Rage has posed:
"I would. She loves my music." Andrea says as she gives him another squeeze, letting out a low, rumbling noise in her throat. Much like a happy pup. When the kids leave, she giggles softly, then leans in a bit closer against him as she soaks up the warmth of his embrace, then finally peels away. "I should get going. Stop by my room later before bed if you want. Can sing you a song." She swipes at the whipcream with her finger, then dabs the end of his nose with it before she starts off with a grin. "See you later, Firebird. Rocket Farts." That is to Sam as she gives him a grin.

Icarus has posed:
"You just are never going to get out of that one, huh?" Jay says to the nickname given to Sam. "You know he's your teacher! And an elder!" He adds with a bit of a laugh to Andrea. "I'll catch you later, Andrea. You want some pecan pie later? Cause it's really THE dessert for Thanksgiving."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks at his brother. "Seems to be going to stick for a while it has even spread, but I am thinking may have Kurt do some rapid fire ports in their room, and let them learn about stinky things." He looks to his brother "The dessert for any time, as long as there is no bitter in it."

Rage has posed:
"Sure! Bring some pie up with you." Andrea smiles as she walks backwards for a few paces, watching him for a moment before she turns and starts out of the dining room, plucking her phone out of her back pocket to send a text to her family.
