Frost's Dilemma Deliberation
Date of Scene: 01 December 2019
Location: Garage - Xavier's School
Synopsis: Emma gives Rogue booze and powers
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Rogue

Emma Frost has posed:
The white car that Emma driver herself around in from time to time pulls into the mansion rather slowly, waiting for the old garage door to crawl up inside the room and Emma taps the face of her steering wheel as she waits with a huff and finally lurches the car into an empty spot once she pulls in.

Emma Frost looks borderline disheveled as she opens her door and climbs out of the two seater and she gathers her phone and clutch before shutting the door with a shove from her bursting hip. Moving to the trunk she then opens that and pulls out a bottle of red wine and looks at the name briefly before smirking a bit. She is about to feel better one way or another damnit.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just so happens to be in the garage moving some items from one of her two cars to the other. She has the radio on inside the Bentley and the driver door is open, its playing some nice classic rock that Emma will likely hear and loathe as she steps out of her own car.

The Belle is wearing a baggy light gray Xavier's School hoodie and a pair of jeans shorts, which is odd since its winter, but its fairly warm in the heated garage at least until someone opens the door and drives in.

Either way, the Belle is crossing the garage space between her cars, carrying some bags and blankets, camping gear it looks like. She looks over to Emma, smiles at her and waves a gloved hand while her music booms from behind her.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma lifts a blonde eyebrow towards Rogue and squints her eyes at the same time. "What, are you doing dear?" The telepath could easily find out, but she knows to let people be themselves and have their secrets, it makes them feel safer when someone has to ask to know about their day and ongoings. It makes people feel like they have a sense of control.

Frost shuts her trunk and setting her phone and purse down onto the sloping hood of her car she steps towards Rogue's Bentley and looks into it while the southerner moves camping gear. "Why are you going hiking?" An honest question.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue gets the stuff put away into the trunk of her other car, the 1970s Dodge Charger, and then moves to turn the music off in the Bentley. Once its off she grins at Emma and moves around to step toward her, then place her gloved hands onto her hips at the hem of her baggy gray swater.

"Went, hikin'." She corrects the White Queen. "Campin' actually. With friends from town. It wasn't that bad out, plus these're special tents." She motions to them rolled up. "They retain heat better, and we had little space heater things." Her hands mime the shape of the heaters as if it matters. Her eyes go back to Emma and she then crosses her arms over her stomach rumping the fabric of her hoodie.

"It was fun. Ya ever been campin', Miss Frosty?" She asks with a knowing grin. Of course Emma hasn't.

Emma Frost has posed:
"I still don't understand how a girl like you..." Emma motions with the flat of one hand held up as she points with her whole hand, not just a finger, "A girl who was an avenger and can fly, how does a girl like you decide to drive somewhere, to get out, and" Shudder "walk to go sleep in a baggy on the ground... You can sleep flying..." Emma says with a look towards Rogue with her chin down and her eyebrows up. She knows Rogue gets what she's hinting at.

"Daddy made me and my sisters go outside one night when we were around... six or seven..." Emma says looking up to the roof of the garage as if enjoying a pleasant memory but then cuts off. "It was tragic and horrible. We were back inside by ten that night." Emma smirks and looks down at the wine and holds it out towards Rogue, "Be a dear Anna."

Rogue has posed:
While Emma talks about 'a girl like her', Rogue proceeds to lean back against the Bentley and just show the White Queen a sly grin to see where this quip is going. Though ultimately it comes off as a moderate compliment, sort've.

"Neve'ah tried sleepin' in flyin' at the same time. Fraid I'd start doin' it while I was asleep, then wake up up near space, thousands'a feet off'a the ground. That wouldn't be a fun way t'wake up, would ya say?." She grins lightly still. "Or just wake up when I float up inta the ceiling fan. Thunk thunk thunk thunk'n t'my head..."

"Daddy, huh?" The grin remains. "Thats cute, callin' your dad that. Kinda weird, but cute. Most men want t'be called that in the bedroom, though, don't they? Guess thats where the weird part comes inta play." At the offered wine, Rogue steps over to it to take it and look at it - since its Emma, its gotta be a nice type! "Campin's fun though, it helps refresh ya and make ya come home'n see how much ya should be thankful for here."

Rogue turns the bottle around in her gloved hands to read the label, if it is French she can read it fluently. One aspect of her that Emma might respect.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Darling, I couldn't think of a better way to wake up." Emma says with a coy sort of smile and she then shakes her head at Rogue with a soft almost pittied sigh. "That's what I used to call him. Now it's just, father." Emma slumps her shoulders for a moment and then passes the still sealed Chateau Lafite Rothschild into Rogue's hand. "Don't be judging me for calling my father a name when yours just showed up m'kay." Emma then restores her face to it's usual not so softness.

Waiting for Rogue to read and open the bottle, Emma addresses the camping idea. "Now, as I view it, it's a slap in the face of my ancestors who HAD to sleep on the ground. They busted their butts in order to have a roof and now I dare leave mine to sleep on the ground like some... mutt. No, I'll honor my great great, great grandparnents by enjoying my cozy, comfy, triple layered bed." Emma smirks.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue does read it, outloud even, though her voice is kept kind of mumble-y as she does it. Emma prattles on in Emma's way and eventually Rogue looks up at her with a grin still while her left hand holds the bottle and her right pulls the cork out of it like it wasn't even remotely sealed inside the neck of the bottle. She puts the cork into the front stomach pocket on her hoodie and then raises the bottle up to sniff at the contents. "Lovely." She says, now smiling before she offers the bottle back to the 'Queen' herself.

"I get ya, Emma, I understand. Ya love your luxury. I don't mind sleepin' like a mutt though. Woof." She grins again then. "My 'daddy' just came back, but I get him lee-way on that cause'a where he's been and what he's been dealin' with. Ain't like he was some dead beat, he was tryin' t'save the woman he loves. It doesn't get more noble'n romantic. He didn't know he was gonna get cut off from me... Shit happens. Thats life, ya know?"

Rogue then nods toward the bottle. "What're you drinkin' wine here for anyhow? Preparin' t'go in there?" Rogue nods to her left to the set of double french doors that lead inside the school, then looks back to Emma. "deal with them kids in there?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma just looks into Rogue's eyes and the telepath gets a bit of a grin but doesn't say anything until Rogue addresses her, "Hmm, oh, yes, your father is a wonderful and noble man I'm sure." The White Queen doesn't even sound like she's being sarcastic in this moment. She does stand to take the bottle back and looks around the garage for a moment before she spots what she's looking for and over on the work bench is a pair of plastic cups that someone left out here instead of taking back inside and Emma frowns deeply but shrugs.

"When you absolutely need booze to deal with those terrors." Emma says pouring two, one for her and one for Rogue. "I'm surprised no one's been expelled and yet, I'm surprised even more no one's been killed." Emma sighs once more and takes a seat on the hood of the Bentley, patting the metal to invite Rogue to come join and sit next to her.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is just under one month away from age 21, so she's on the cusp of being completely legal to drink said wine. But one thing she's found around here is that the adults who're over 21 don't really seem to care about her age anymore, even Scott has given her the go ahead if she 'behaved' during her drinking around him. Probably comes with the X-Men stuff, and the Avenger stuff... she's proven herself as an adult, mostly... sorta.

When the cup is handed over she grins at Emma again. "You should meet him, my dad that is. Maybe you'd like him. I mean, probably not, but he's... I don't know. Twenty'ish years older than you? He's fun. Was once a hippy, now he's got this... refined charm about him. He's pretty torn up about my Ma though still. He's not sure how t'find the people that took her now. His plan didn't pan out and now they're on the lamb again. Hidin' away..."

The cup is raised up and Rogue takes a sip from the sweet wine. "Maybe people have died and Charles just took the memories from us?" She smiles coyly then takes another sip from her cup before shaking her head. "Thats mean, I shouldn't say that. I owe him everythin' after all."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma takes the cup and sips as she allows Rogue to talk and then, Rogue drops something that Emma finds even surprising and she smirks behind her cup. The wine tastes great but its being wasted in this plaster cup. No good. But, the things one must endure.

Emma looks softly at Rogue and starts to lift a hand to pat the girl, but ... doesn't, and instead the remorsefully looking Emma speaks softly and truthfully, "He's never done that to you or any of us. Not that I can tell. And I can tell." Emma says with a soft nod towards Rogue then followed by another sip of the wine.

Rogue has posed:
The Belle has to shake her head side to side. "I know. It just slipped off'a my tongue. I heard some'a the kids whisperin' about the Professor bein' a telepath and thinkin' he was messin' with all'a our heads. It just sorta stuck inside'a mine after that. Dumb kids, yeah?" Rogue asks again before raising the cup again to take another sip.

She nods her head then to it before she motions at the cup with her other hand. "This is good stuff, I'm afraid'a askin' how much it cost. Figure its more than I'll ever make in a single paycheck, maybe a month'a paychecks. Or worse."

"What about you?" Rogue then asks with a good humored mischievousness about the question followed by another sip of the wine. "You seem a lot more darin' in that regard, with what you're able'ta do."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Oh." Emma smirks as she shifts around on the car to put her back onto the front windshield as though it was a chaise lounge and she holds her cup on her belly with both hands. She turns her attention towards Rogue and shrugs her shoulders again. "No, I don't really go around erasing people's minds and things like that. Not with students, not unless it's absolutely necesary to keep others safe." Emma says, clicking her lips and taking another sip.

A look to Rogue and she asks, "Do you think I should do it more? Or do you have something you'd like to have looked into further?" Emma seems to be offering a deep dive with a lift of her eyebrow as she says this.

Rogue has posed:
The last question there that Emma asks makes Rogue lightly laugh as she shakes her head and turns to do a little casual strolling around while staying with comfortable conversational distances. "Nah, nah." She responds before stuffing her fingertips into her side front pocket on her hip while her other hand holds onto her cup. "I mean, I got people I'd like erased, and maybe... maybe have my entire memory taken outta their head, but nah, its not right and I shouldn't ever really desire such a thing."

Another sip is taken. She stares off distantly for a second or so, clearly in thought about that idea and concept.

But she looks back to Emma. A smirk is shown. "So whats with you and the color white?" She has to ask. "You must really love weddin' dresses, huh? Not t'mention snowy days..." Thats a subject changer, clearly.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Why shouldn't you want that?" Emma asks, not that she's saying Rogue is wrong or right, but she's trying to get at the deeper part of Rogue, a most vulnerable and more thoughtful side. It's kind of how she teaches with some people. Rhetorically.

Emma looks at Rogue waiting for that answer, choosing to ingore the white comment, for now. She'll come around back to that likely, but, not now, this is a time to help Rogue grow and mature. "Why do you think you shouldn't have those memories erased? Up until recently you couldn't, but now... it's possible."

Rogue has posed:
At the question, Rogue has to shake her head side to side and raise her free hand up to place it on her chest. "Not from -me-." She corrects. "I like my memories, even the bad ones. All'a those things shape me and make me who I am, and quite frankly I like who I am. I'm happy about who I am and what i've been through. Its made me tougher'n stronger not even countin' the raw physical power. I mean like... mentally."

More wine is sipped, she's not the biggest wine person but this is pretty good!

"I mean like... ya know, people you've gotten 'close' with." She tries to tip toe around that subject. "Then ya end up regrettin' it and would like them t'not have those memories'a you anymore cause turns out they didn't ever deserve t'have'em in the first place. That kinda thing."

Rogue then leans against one of the wooden support pylons in the garage, against her left shoulder. "Surely you've made some mistakes in that regard and know what I mean, I mean look at ya, you've probably got people bouncin' off'a ya like flies on a bug zapper."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Ah." Emma smiles like the person who caught someone redhanded. "You mean exes and the like, I do wonder who you'd like to have not loved you or, better, received your love." Emma takes her cup and takes a sip and while she can tell Rogue likes the wine, Emma is starting to think this was ruined by not using true wine glasses. This stuff is breathing too much and isn't quite right. But she doesn't voice this, not now. Not while she's making a friend. She thinks.

Rogue has posed:
Whilst leaning and listening, Rogue has to shake her head and grin at the follow-up question. "I shouldn't say." She states, glancing over her shoulder cause she suspects people might be listening. But she looks back onto Emma. "Lets just say I thought I knew someone, and I didn't actually. But thats how it goes, right? People want somethin' outta ya so they find your weaknesses and exploit'em, but once they got what they wanted then they start actin' differently... back to themselves... the 'true' face comes out. So t'speak."

Another sip of wine, she's about finished her cup off then.

"Not like there's gonna be a lotta those type'a experiences in my life though, yeah? Most folks find out my limitations'n well, they run for the hills. Cause 'why bother with that one?'." She smirks at her own words.

Emma Frost has posed:
"True people are always on display, you just have to know what to look for." Emma says with a smirk. "Plus this helps." Emma says before she reaches a hand out and pats Rogue on the knee with her bare hand and yelps. "Oh holy crap Anna!" Emma says as she shakes her hand back and forth as though she was shocked by an outlet. "You never said you were THAT painful..." Emma snarls with a pout at Rogue as she kisses at her hand.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue twitches when she's touched, its a feel like when you put two strong magnets together but don't quite touch them and instead hold them apart but can feel them pulling toward one another. Not that touching her has that effect, but the 'feeling' of that is there. She can feel herself pulling at Emma's... core when the woman reaches out to boldly touch her leg.

Rogue twitches and pulls back to break the contact even faster. "Woah, hey." She responds firstly. "Whaaaat'd ya do that for?!" She sounds worried, if a bit angry, but mostly worried. She sets the cup aside she'd had and moves to stand beside Emma again then to keep the woman from falling over or off of where she's sitting. "Ya gonna get yourself blacked out for a long time if'n ya try that crap..."

When Rogue realizes she can sense Emma's thoughts though her words trail off and her eyelashes flutter a little while she 'reads them'. Subsequently she can sense others nearby... two students are walking past the interior hallway doors to the garage right now in fact.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma's hand stays before her mouth like a child who fell and scrapped their palm, she's 'kissing' it, pressing it against the warmth of her lips to sooth the pain and yet she pulls away and has to shake at her head a bit as if some great migraine had befallen her. "That's why." Emma says weakly before she points over her shoulder in the direction of the young minds that way. "Other's like me can turn it on and off. I never could either." Emma explains and takes a long breath again. "I understand you more than you might think and yet, the point I was trying to make, is people are more real even when they have a mask on than you might realize, you just have to learn, to look at the, edges." Emma says and has to brace her hands on the car to keep from falling off, even risking her own cup of wine in the process.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's never experienced the other side of her own power. What she experiences is painless, its just strange, like a strong pull followed by the sensation of new memories clouding her mind as they struggle to find space within it, generally memories that are recent or almost 'present' even. The longer she holds onto a person's touch the further back her mind steals, though even that is random... its all so confusing for her.

She stays close to help make sure Emma doesn't fall over also, with gloves on and most of her form still covered up aside from her legs, she's safe enough to have around...

"I get it." Rogue softly says as she takes a step back when Emma stabilizes again. "I mean like, your attitude'n everything. You gotta deal with knowin' people on an intimate level instantly and most people in this world suck. I'd never really thought've it that way. Its a wonder how the Professah'n Jean aren't... ya know, mad all the time. Or worse."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Like I told you Anna, they can turn it off." Emma frowns and shakes her head one last time before lifting her cup to her painted lips and pours the drink into her mouth to down the wine quickly, as if it was the only way she could stomach everyone. "It's the girls that pretend to be your friend but they're planning how to use you to get themselves closer to something, usually a boy. At least the boys are pretty predictable, or, well, most of them." She smirks and coughs as she's still fighting that headahce and the soreness in her hand. "I can shut it off for you if you'd like." Emma says rather casually.

Rogue has posed:
When Rogue steps back she's folding her arms together over her stomach again and staring at Emma, a few feet away from the older woman now. "Yeah, I know." She says about other girls. "I've known that most'a my life. That starts even when you're in grade school. Its... why I never really had any girl friends until I got here and met Kitty'n some'a the others here. Though Kitty's the closest female friend I've eve'ah had. She's not prone t... t'doin' those games like the ones ya speak'a. I've known plenty'a them too though."

She then shakes her head. "No, its fine. I got some'a your methods'n deal'n with the power outta ya too... I can sense how ya manage it. I'll only have this for an hour or two tops, you only touched me for a second or less. Doesn't generally last longer'n that with a touch as brief as that one was... Its definitely..." She shifts her weight from one foot to the other and glances back to the inside of the schoo.

"Its definitely weird though..." She softly states before glancing down at the garage floor before her feet.

Emma Frost has posed:
"You don't have to mince words with me Anna." Emma says with a nod before she stands up off the Bentley and lifts her hands above her head in a stretch before she quickly regrets that and doubles over to try and catch the blood back up into her brain as it still kinda... stings.

"Y'know, you need it more than I do right now." Emma states and gives a motion towards the bottle of wine. "You enjoy it, either alone or whatever, but it tastes better with friends. I'm told." Emma says and she goes back to her car to get her stuff on her way into the mansion.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue doesn't hesitate a beat, when she sees Emma start to tip in a still dizzy-state, she lashes out and takes hold of Emma's elbow, but not in a painful way, its like if she were a T-1000 Terminator and just gently snapped her arm up and caught the White Queen to keep her from tipping any further over. A second later after Emma collects herself, Rogue grins. "If Bobby were here, he'd make a top heavy joke atya right now." She jests before looking to the bottle wine that remains.

"Maybe I'll try the drinkin' alone bit." She reaches out for it and picks it up, the produces the cork and pops it back inside like how it'd been when she'd first received it. "Person gets told their name is 'Rogue' is a person who rules about drinkin' alone don't apply, right?" She grins lightly then before she starts to walk back toward her Dodge to close the trunk. "Thanks for the booze, Frosty."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I have the backside to not be top heavy and I know you've all thought something of the sort, know you'll know the pleasures, for a bit." Emma says with a playful frown, "Just avoid the teenagers until you're back to your normal self." Emma says with a wink as she does try to show Rogue a semblance of appreciation, "And you said your name was Rogue, I still am not sure what exactly to call you." Emma shrugs one last time before lifting her hand in a wave and steping towards the double doors.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is settling into her Dodge's back seat to sit down within it and fuss around with some items she has back there when she hears Emma's parting words to which she grins to them and looks back at her. "Now I'm curious..." She says with regard to being around the teenagers. "You call me whatever you like t'call me!" She adds in before Emma is gone. There after Rogue is picking up her straw cowgirl hat and placing it on top of her head whilst she hangs out in the backseat of her own car.
