Cast of Characters: Black Canary, Chun-Li

Black Canary has posed:
Having bounced back and forth across the continent on business with Alpha Flight, overseeing her flower ship, and stepping up for the next Black Canary tour, Dinah has managed to work a little down time into her schedule. Having made her way to Chinatown, she began to walk along the streets, smiling at the hanging lanterns and banners, all bright and colorful. She glances at the signs in shop windows thoughtfully, though her pace seems to be more aimless than deliberate.

Chun-Li has posed:
While Chun-Li by no means spends a great deal of her time here, she often comes here for a few special ingredients that can only otherwise be ordered online. She is in a more casual outfit than her usual, her bottom consisting of a pair of tight jeans and her top being a simple shirt that reveals the barest hint of middrift. She still has on her bracelets. She walks out of a nearby shop just in time to get into Dinah's path and blinks as she hops back and smiles, "Oops, sorry!" She states with a smile and nodding to her.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake has opted for casual dress herself. A black tank top, frayed jeans with more cuts along the thighs than denim at this point in their life. canvas sneakers and a blue and white flannel worn as a jacket. She had not been expecting a close call but reacts almost as quickly as the other woman involved in the near collision. A quick side step and a laugh. "It's okay. Lucky for everyone we've got some quick steps. The carnage from that accident would have been epic" she teases as she looks to Chun-Li, eyes sparkling with amusement.

Chun-Li has posed:
A blink and she laughs, "Oh, hello." She states and then considers, "you're Dinah Drake, right?" She asks and nods, having never precisely met the woman, "Xiang Chun-Li." She gestures to herself and nods her head, "I have heard of you for various reasons. I hadn't thought meeting you would involve neaerly running into you on the street." She then nods.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake is still grinning herself then her expression turns interested and curious as the other woman recognizes her and introduces herself. With a nod of affirmation, Dinah replies, "Ms. Xiang. It's a privilege to meet you." She offers a deep bow of respect. "It is often like this. Running into those we know in the most unexpected of places. I was actually about to go in there, myself. They have the best lemon and herb tea I've found in the States." A grin.

Chun-Li has posed:
A smile and she nods, "It's certainly a versatile store that carries favorites from China." She nods her head and then she looks over at the store before looking back to Dinah, "Well, I honestly had hoped to meet you at some point. As you know, I'm very active in teh martial arts scene and frankly I was surprised to learn that a local here was both a singer and a martial artist. Not a common combination."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake laughs as she steps aside the doorway so as to not block the entry while the two talk. "Well... it didn't exactly start out that way on the roadmap to life I was given. But.. sometimes the best path is the one not yet drawn out, y'know? Military and martial arts. Music. they all take discipline. And a sense of aggression. So.. yeah. what can I say?" She grins. "It's great to get to meet you as well. I've watched some of your matches before. You're certainly well established at the top of your game."

Chun-Li has posed:
A smile comes to her lips and then she shrugs, "I like to think that I have a ways to go yet, personally." She nods her head before she looks across to the woman, "I personally like your music, I think, more than your fighting. Not to say you are bad at fighting but your music is really good." She nods her head, "I hope to hear more of it in the future." She nods again, "Honestly, amusing as you're the second singer I have meet in the last week."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake grins. "Well thank you, Ms. Xiang. I enjoy all of the areas of my life I get to explore, but singing is certainly an area I take a lot of pleasure in." Then she tilts her head, "Yeah? Can I ask who else you've met?"

Chun-Li has posed:
A grin and Chun-Li nods before laughing, "I ran into Andrea Jackson." She nods her head a little as she looks over at the people passing by briefly, "Was an awkward meeting mainly because she seems to get as much love as she gets hate." She shrugs, "It's just the way of things, I suppose."

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake says, "Oh wow. I haven't met her. Though hate is not a good thing to experience. She has backbone and spirit for sure. I can really admire that. It's hard to stand up for what we think is right when so many others tell us not to." She shrugs. "Listen, I should probably let you go, but if you'd like to catch up again? Maybe meet for tea? Or even spar sometime? I think that'd be fun.""

Chun-Li has posed:
A smile and she nods, "That sounds good." She grins as she hears that offer, "I wouldn't mind a spar with someone of your talent. I could perhaps even learn something." She nods her head as she looks to her pocket and pulls out her phone and hten provides her phone number.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake grins, "That is my hope, too. To learn from you. I don't pretend to know everything. Or close to it." She exchanges contact information with her peer and perhaps new friend. "I'll try to catch you soon, okay? Feel free to text me any time."
