Synopsis: Pippi makes 'French Toast a'la Pippi' -- which amounts to Brown Sugar Cinnamon French Toast with Bacon -- and seeks permission to start calling the Team of Green her Family. Donatello enthusiastically replies, and then as typical for the duo, they talk butts.
Cast of Characters: Pippi, Donatello

Pippi has posed:
It smells like cooking in the kitchen. Well. It smells kind of like cooking in the kitchen area. Piles of pizza boxes have been cleared out to make room for a work station, and Pippi was hard at work with an electric griddle and a flipper, shifting her weight and her tail wagging to the beaet of some Pop-Goes-Punk pulled up on the radio. She's chipperly singing along as she makes up mounds of French Toast, turning every once in while to sing into the flipper like it was a microphone.

"I GOT A BLANK SPACE BAAABY -- I'll write your naaaame!"

She's rockin' an apron, a I <3 NY tee, and a pair of ripped jeans.

Donatello has posed:
Yawning and stumbling from his den of technology and techno music, Donnie's lips smack as he makes for the kitchen and pauses. Something different. Off. Not wrong... but wrong. He sniffs several times and blinks at the singing going on... and no pizza. It's a marvel. An absurdity... and Donnie isn't sure what's happening.

"Hey... why does it smell like IHOP in here?"

Pippi has posed:
"What's an IHOP?" Pippi asks from around a stack of egg-battered-and-pan-fried bread, blinking innocently.

"An' good mornin'! Cinnamon french toast a'la Pippi!"

Donatello has posed:
Another pause at the lack of knowing what IHOP is, but Donnie doesn't push it. He moves to the various piles of french toast, head canting one way or the other. "This is a lot of french toast and not pizza..." expression awed at the very idea.

Pippi has posed:
"Well, yeah. I didn't feel like pizza today, an' I saw this on the food network tv thing last night, an' we had eggs and the bread had gone a bit stale so a little milk and then - bam! An' there was a pack of bacon, so *double bam!*" Pippi replies happily, and slaps a few pieces of french toast on a plate.

It has cinnamon and brown sugar, and bacon. Criped bacon. In the French toast.

Donatello has posed:
Donatello blinks, bacon in the toast... Bacon. In toast? Donatello lifts a piece, tentatively, and takes a nibble. He pauses, looks to the toast, to Pippi, then the toast. "This would go good on pizza... or as a crust for breakfast pizza... amirite??"

Pippi has posed:
"I mean, maybe? I think the cinnamon would taste weird with the eggs, but the brown sugar goes with the bacon better." she states, turning off the griddle a moment, having finished making enough French Toast to feed a small army, and she sits down at the table, her tail wagging. "... this is the first time I cooked anything so fancy without someone helping me." she states with a grin. "I'm gettin' kinda good at this!"

Donatello has posed:
Settling in, stuffing his face, Donatello chuckles, "Good then, you're getting the hang of it like we said you would - right down to not breaking something with your strength - which means you're getting better at controlling it, Pip." he beams still, reaching to pat her forearm, "You should be proud of yourself."

Pippi has posed:
"Well..." Pippi states, and her ears draw back a little bit. "Mighta broken off one of the cabinet doors..." she trails off, "B-but I fixed it!" she replies. She doesn't illuminate.

he instead pours pancake syrup on the french toast, and begins to carefully manuver pieces around.

"An' I am proud. But I couldn't do it without my family!" she grins brightly.

Donatello has posed:
A nod at that, "Right? I mean... Most important part of it all, rather than forgin' on alone." Donnie continues to eat then, looking out at the den and then back to Pippi. "I don't think any of us would have made it if we didn't have family eh?"

Pippi has posed:
"You're right." Pippi admits quietly, and she gives a little shrug. "Pex and Leo both say I've come a long way. Leo's even sparring with me, but I'm not quiiite as fast as you guys yet. But I'll get there!" Pippi states eagerly, her tail giving a wag a sshe looks to Donatello.

"So... does this mean that I can call you guys my family for real now?"

Pippi has posed:
"Well, I mean, I started training under Alopex who used to be an ememy 'cause she served the Shredder and when Master Splinter invited us to stay because the Winter dojo wasn't the safest place anymore I kinda assumed it was a temporary move because even Leo was pretty surprised by it, and Alopex was taken offguard but we couldn't say no because it was a good thing at the time..." Pippi begins, her ears drawing back and her shoulders drawing up. She's clearly a little embarrassed, and she lowers her gaze, cutting the bread into little pieces with her fork.

"... and I know I spent a lot of time talking about my old family an' Leo even asked me if I had the chance, would I go back and I'm like 'no I can't go back 'cause then that's bein' bad', but now it feels like home and I work well with everyone an' I think even Raph's warmed up to me an' I... guess I just want the okay first?"

Donatello has posed:
"Well, we took you to the farm, I'm sure that makes you family, Pip. I wouldn't worry so much." he moves his hand and Donnie attempts to rest it on Pippi's shoulder. "Don't worry, don't feel bad. We were all new, we all didn't have the same start though ok?" the purp turp offers a friendly shrug and a pat as well.

"I'd be happy to call you family, Pip."

Pippi has posed:
Pippi looks up at Donnie, and she gives a sideways, uneven smile up at him, her ears drawing forward. The hand rests on her shoulder. She doesn't try to shrug it off -- but the exciteable pooch does put her arms best she can around Donatello, and very, very gently hugs him.

"Thanks, Donnie. I'm happy to call you family too."

Donatello has posed:
When she hugs him, Donnie moves easily to return the gesture of affection, patting her back lightly and giving her a tight squeeze, "Good, because this would be really awkward right now, sis." He laughs, unable to stop himself and giving her another good pat on the back before he draws back. "Good to have you recognize it, at least with me for now... We'll get the others there too."

Pippi has posed:
Pippi holds on for just a moment longer, mindful of her strength, and she relaxes her arms and draws away, then rubs the back of her hand over her eyes a moment.

"/More/ awkward than discussing butts?" Pippi gently jabs back verbally with a bright grin, her ears drawing forward and her tail giving a wag.

Donatello has posed:
"She still had an amazing butt, there's another person - April's friend... my friend. I'd tell her she has an amazing butt, but I think she knows that I know..." cheeks darkening as he flushes, Donnie offers Pip a hanky while putting more food in his head

Pippi has posed:
Pippi declines hankey, hands are busy with the french toast. "Wait, Vanessa?" Pippi questions, brows rising up. "You think she has a nice butt too? What... what is it with butts?" Pippi asks again, her ears bicking ward.

Donatello has posed:
"Well for one thing, I don't have one. I have fleshy bodily connections to my shell - so I expect it's the fact that I can see hers moving... and when it's moving it looks good." Donnie folds his arms across his chest, defensively.

Pippi has posed:
Pippi pauses in her chewing for a moment, and she looks at Donnie's posture. She swallows, and she gives a slight shrug. "I mean, it's a butt. I got some... ah.. rough times 'cause of them. Back at the lab, everyone liked to crack that joke." she states, using a pun. Did she know she was using a pun? Who knows.

"I'm not askin' to be rude, I'm just... I'm tryin' to understand."

Donatello has posed:
"No I get it, I just don't know, fully... I mean it's one of those things I guess? What'd they use to say at the labs?" Donnie's brow ridge raises in curiosity, more and more disliking this lab

Pippi has posed:
"Well... dogs like butts, apparently. Something about handshakes? So the guards would be like 'oh no mutt don't get near my butt' and I'd be like 'but I know 'shake', it's a trick I know,' but they were just not really pleasant people... I know they were doing their job but..." she trails off and she gives a shrug, rubbing the side of her muzzle. "They didn't treat me like a person after they made me change. They just treated me like I wasn't anything."

Donatello has posed:
Donatello shakes his head, "Wrong to treat someone like that. Anyone. I'm sorry to hear that Pip..." he sighs and continues his meal, in silence for now - considering how one could rectify that sort of wrong.

Pippi has posed:
"Don't worry too much about it, Donnie," Pippi pipes up... "I'm here now. An' working on things. So... 's long as you'r ethere for me, we'll call it even!" she smiles. "The best way to ge tback at them is to be happy."
