Date of Scene: 07 December 2019
Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Synopsis: Pippi and Nightwatcher (Raphael) cross paths, and end up in a physical confrontation that might risk Raphael's secret identity! -- Until a bigger problem presents itself.
Cast of Characters: Pippi, Raphael

Pippi has posed:
It was an ordinary night, in an ordinary world, full of extraordinary people.

One of those extraordinary people, was Pippi. Pippi, who recently accompanied her new 'officially' adopted family members on a scope-out mission to test her new gauntlets -- and they performed admirably.

Now it was time for the real test -- a little revenge for the Night Stalker beating up her other brother, and she was prowling around, without Leo, Donnie, or Raphael to tail her, without Alopex's watchful eye, keeping an ear out for the sound of a motorcycle, or the clink of armor.

    Tonight, she hunts...
            THE NIGHTWATCHER

Raphael has posed:
Does Raphael know the danger he's in tonight, once more donning his alter ego and going out on solo patrol? No, no he doesn't, because that is exactly what he's doing.

Astride his motorcycle and on the prowl for crime, the sound is distinct and impossible to mistake. He searches with his motor running slow, cruising between the wide alleys of the city with his light off to perhaps catch a ne'er-do-well off guard. However, while this seems to be the case, in reality he's just looking for a safe place to park, and an alleyway with a dumpster pulled away from a wall shows up as a perfect place. Better yet, there's even a tarp! He idles the bike behind the dumpster, then kills the engine and steps off, the clinking of his armor also no doubt distinctive to the dog girl's sensitive ears.

Here he is! And she even has the element of surprise currently, the Nightwatcher checking over his weapons and armor.

Pippi has posed:
The tarp is set! The trap is spung!

She ficks her ears as she breathes out, calm, quiet, just like how Leo showed her, and she draws her gauntlet-clad hands together, and she springs from the rooftop, bringing her arms up, her knees bent, her tail flicking as she goes to get the drop on the Nightwatcher -- literally!

She's dropping herself to try and hit his back with her feet, and spring off, to try and knock him forward.

Raphael has posed:
You'd think that since Raphael is a ninja as well, trained for years by Master Splinter, he'd be a bit more on his guard. However, if you were thinking that, you thought wrong. With his armor clicking in his ears and his attention readied for ground-level combat, the fact that his first threat of the night comes from above is... not on his ready list.

    But here we are.

The turtle clad in armor grunts as he's hit from behind, a solid enough blow to send the heavy terrapin flying forward, though he seems to get on guard immediately after. He rights himself in midair, landing on all fours and sliding backward a bit as he gets his bearings.

Pippi. And an armed Pippi at that.

"Well now, I would have assumed you would not resort to such tactics again. Consider that my failing." He pushes himself back to his feet, letting out a length of chain from one of his armguards and gripping it in his gauntleted hand. "I take it you have nothing better to do that seek me out, then?" he asks, though his mind races. Not only does he not want to hurt Pippi, he also knows that she can certainly hurt him, and the last thing he needs is to limp back to the Lair on a night where Pippi would no doubt bring up a fight with the Nightwatcher. Not with Leo already suspicious.

"I do not really want to fight you. Turn back and I will let you go."

Pippi has posed:
Armed and Dangerous Pippi. She's looking like serious business today, must have been all that time she's been spending with Mr. Always Right. She strikes a ready possession, looking at the chain from the armguards.

"You hurt a member of my family. My brother." she breathes out. "Looks like he hasn't found you, so I hope he doesn't mind if I impart a couple of lessons I've been learning." she replies.

Her voice is slightly shuddery. She's a little bit afraid, afte rall, she shouldn't be taking on big bads all by her lonesome! Could attract Foot traffic.

Raphael has posed:
Raphael sighs, a gesture that probably seems exasperated from the outside but is to stymie his own nerves inside the armor. How had his life gotten THIS complicated this fast? He had fabricated a story and now... well now he has to pay for his lies, doesn't he?

"I had no choice. He surprised me, is all, and I let him limp home." It hurt his pride a bit to have to act as the victor and loser of a fight that could never happen. "Perhaps you had better wait for backup. Unless you think you are stronger than he is." He knows, of course, that Pippi outmatches him greatly in raw strength, but perhaps in technique he would have an edge. A shame he was in heavy armor and wielding chains.

"Last chance," he says, stepping forward and releasing more chain into his other hand, "Leave."

Pippi has posed:
"Stronger?" Pippi gives a soft 'pff sound as she narrows her eyes. "Yeah, yeah I am." she states, and she bull rushes Raph, hopping up and doing a little bit of a wall run before she tries a gauntlet-clad left hook to his chin, coming down fast and hard from above!

Raph better becareful, she's probably not pulling punches this round! Her hackles are raised, her eyes are narrowed, and she bares her teeth at him.

Raphael has posed:
Damnit, Pippi. She just had to go and admit it. The Nightwatcher sighs again, then leaps away from the wall against which the dog is running, flinging a chain toward the far wall and pulling himself away to avoid her attack. However, she clips his arm with her strike as he raises it to retaliate, causing the armor to crumple and the turtle inside to wince in pain. No break, luckily, but no doubt there'd be a mark. Already a bad start.

With a growl, the Nightwatcher whips out with both chains, aiming for body shots on the dog girl. "Bad luck, then," he says, "I was hoping not to breed further bad blood tonight."

Pippi has posed:
"Nah, this'll resolve any bad blood. I'd hate to have ta tear you outta that armor piece by piece to get a look at your face, on account that the Big Guy got to see it." Pippi replies, and she gives a small huff of air before she rears back to try again, and then there's the sound of glass breaking, and gunshots.

Her ears go up, and she turns, and then turns back to the armored vigilante.

"... truce?" she offers, halting her attack.

Raphael has posed:
If anyone could make good on that sort of threat, it would be Pippi. And that has him worried. If she found out he was Raphael, what would happen then? No doubt Leo would know immediately, and then what? Would the brothers turn their back on him?

The sound of gunshots nearby distracts him for a moment. Now? Really? Crime doesn't wait, he supposes, and it stops Pippi's assault as well. Can't complain about that. When she asks for a truce, he nods. "I would much rather put a stop to an actual crime tonight."

Pippi has posed:
"Sounds good." Pippi replies with a nod, and sounds releived "Me too."

And with that, she turns, running for the sound of the broken glass and gunshots.

It's a jewelry store, with late hours for the holiday. Someone's shot out the front window and disconnected the alarm -- clever buggers.

One big guy was threatening the store clerk with a shotgun, the other two were smashing cases and sweeping chains and rings into pillow cases with cartoon characters on them.

"Keep your hands where I can see 'em, Lady! Don't want no one callin' the police and turning this into a hostage situation.

Pippi pauses to the side, leaning in and narrowing her eyes. What would Leo do here? Smokebomb and takedown, she supposes -- and she taps her bag to see where -- oh, right. The last one accidentally popped in the bathroom. That was a bad time.

Raphael has posed:
If he were acting as Raphael, would he be any more stealthy than he was planning? He didn't have the best track record, despite his masterful training and ninja skills. What can he say?

He loves a scrap, and nothing intimidates like a big freakin' turtle. But tonight, he was a hero in armor. He might not get that sort of response tonight. However, a one-liner occurs, and with it in mind, he steps into view.

"You like chains? Then try these on for size!" he calls, before immediately whipping out toward the shotgun-wielder and one of his thugs in a smooth, practiced way, one chain aiming to break the shotgun and the second aiming to wind around and trap the looter.

Pippi has posed:
:What the--" the ringleader with the gun asks, turning around as he brings the gun up to point at the Nightwatcher and get a little surprised by some guy wearing what looks like tank armor. He gives a surprise cry as she chain bends the barrel of the gun to gether, and the second one "Huh, nice one! Think they can link it to their bad guy stuff?" Pippi returns as she slips past Raph and beneath him, skidding on some of the broken glass and delivering a swift uppercut to the first guy at the counter, sending him *into* the ceiling, through the ceiling boards. There's a crunching sound of a jaw dislocating, maybe even breaking.

Raphael has posed:
With the barrel of the gun bent, he whips the gun out of the man's hand and toward the Nightwatcher himself. As the first counter-robber is put into the ceiling, Raphael takes care of the second, moving to wind the chain around his legs and, rather indelicately, yanking him toward the outside and aiming to toss him into the concrete outside.

Taking care to crush the shotgun underfoot, the Nightwatcher steps up to the leader, smirking behind his mask. "You chose the wrong night to pull this..." he says, before drawing back and, with less force than Pippi, aims to slam his fist directly into the robber's face.

Pippi has posed:
Less force and way less padding, the second counter-man is force-fed a knuckle sandwich, who goes flying into Pippi's waiting arms, who slings him up and into the ceiling with his partner. They're holding onto a cross beam, groaning. The guy Pippi hit has a big ol' lump on the side of his face and probably some missing teeth.

... and that is precisely when the police turn the corner.

Pippi's ears come up, and she looks to Nightwatcher. "Sirens." she states, and she makes a bee-line out -- though she mighta cut her foot. There's a bloody paw-print left on the floor where she was standing.
