Cast of Characters: Captain Britain, Zatanna Zatara, Buffy Summers

Captain Britain has posed:
Caernarvon was a wonderful part of Bludhaven. It was where the wealthy tended to live, and the actual commercial area of the town had a distinct European feel, a holdover from the colonial days, with cobblestone streets, feeling like a village. Brian enjoyed it, feeling more at home when he got to explore it. Though it also happened to be the frequent residence of an altogether unnatural creature called Danny the Street. Little did he know that he was walking along a sentient street as he was out for his morning jog, dressed in sweatpants, a t-shirt, and a windbreaker over it. He should have been freezing, but maybe it was the exercise, but he wasn't cold. Either that, or the street was just a tad bit warmer than the rest of the area. Either way, Brian was comfortable as he trotted along.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
The street was warmer. Not to the extreme but he likely could've taken the windbreaker off if he wanted to. Danny the Street liked people to visit. He liked people to be comfortable and enjoy themselves. Right now, he had up a lot of holiday decorations on the various little street lights. They were old style lights, looking like the gaslights of old. The decorations represented every possible holiday. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa. There were fancy displays in several of the windows, with toys and train sets. It was like a Christmas wonderland, but lacking that biting cold that usually came with the snow piled in drifts along the side of the road and sidewalks.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers didn't frequent this part of town much, although with her increasing associations with Excalibur in these parts, things were starting to change. She was drawn by the elaborate decorations and old world style of this place, so much more intense than more modern places like Gotham or Sunnydale. She's keeping comfortably warm in her flannel pink track suit, enjoying a brisk jog as well.

Captain Britain has posed:
Brian came to a stop when he saw what looked like a Santa meet and greet. What really caught his eye was that one side of the street had one that seemed catered to children, and the other to adults. An adults only winter wonderland. Standing, and feeling warm, he unzipped the windbreaker. For a moment, he was watching what was going on, curious to see if he might recognise anyone.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
So many visitors! Danny the Street was ecstatic as the people gathered in the various wonderlands. Children lined up to see Santa and the elves gathered with him. They got their turns on his lap, giving their requests and promising they had been good. Even though their brother/sister had not been as good as them, according to the tales they wove.

It was a bit odd how there was snow yet it wasn't slushy or dirty. It was perfect and pristine. And when someone walked through a snowbank, it was like the snow filled the hole where their feet and left tracks, turning it back to perfection. Subtle but it was happening all around.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers slows down as well, taking her time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the winter wonderland, dancing a little to the music as she moves through the streets. It doesn't take her long to spy the statuesque figure of Brian on the opposite end of the street and she smiles and waves to him, heading in his general direction.

Captain Britain has posed:
Brian was mostly looking the other way, watching the adult wonderland section, though he caught the smile and wave out of the corner of his eye, and turned around just as Buffy joined him, "Buffy! You look great!" He gave her a big hug, "isn't this wonderful. It's like out of a television commercial. Everything's just so, oh, look!" And he saw what looked like real penguins. They had to be some kind of animatronics. It couldn't be real, could it? Everyone seemed to be having such a good time. Danny always put on a great show, and few even knew he was there.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
The penguins were real. Yet they were also friendly. They posed with children for pictures and let themselves be pet. There was a 'handler' near them, a young main with blonde hair who was probably barely over 18. His purpose was to take pictures with an instant camera or with people's cellphones while keeping the penguins safe. He was like everything else on the street: just a little too perfect.

There were no cars on the street. To add to the show, there were at least three different horse-drawn sleighs which people could enjoy as well.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers laughs and leaps into his arms, hugging him tightly. "Mmm how you been? Doing a little Christmas shopping? But this really is amazing, it's like a perfect storybook Christmas, beautiful fluffy white snow without all the cold, messy dirty stuff..Kinda makes me feel like a kid again.." it's so pretty that she does actually pull out her camera and snap a few shots, before placing it in front of Brusn and herself, "Say cheese!"

Captain Britain has posed:
Those penguins were seriously cute. It was perfect, almost too perfect, but who was Brian to judge? "I'm struggling to contain myself. Everything, just, wow," and he stops for a moment, as she takes a selfie with him. He shows off his pearly white teeth in a wide smile.

"I mean, those penguins, those penguins would give baby Yoda a run for his money in terms of cutness. Only thing that would make them cuter would be if they were called Simon, Alvin, and Theodore." At which point the teen handler said, "actually, this one's Huey, this one's Dewey, and over here is Louie. Would you like a photo with them?" And best of all, they weren't even being charged for it.

Of course they have to take photos, handing the handler both Buffy's camera, and Brian's mobile phone. They take a few more snapshops, before thanking him, and Brian offers a donation, but it's politely refused, instead directing it to be given to charity of his choosing. Danny really did put on a great show. They'd spend another hour or two, enjoying the festiviites, before calling it a day and heading back towards Sunnydale, since Buffy had training with Giles scheduled, and Brian enjoyed Giles' company.
