The Break-In

Synopsis:	Zorro and Gambit break into a office building

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau is a semi retired master thief. The thing however about being Semi Retired is that you are also semi-active. Which really just means that he is choosier then he used to be. Still when he got the encrypted e-mail from the anonymous underworld jobs broker "Bug", he was curious.... Finding out that the job would have him help bring down a rather disreputable scuzzbag executive had him interested. The price tag for the job had his attention. And so he was waiting on a roof, awaiting his contact.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro was very careful not to be seen as he scaled the tall Harold and Zimmerman Building. He had been planning this break-in for weeks, and now tonight was the night. His target was Sylvester Larson, an executive of Harold and Zimmerman, a very major financial consultation firm. Larson was a suzzbag through and through, he used his powers and almost endless pockets to unscrupulous ends, ruining the lives of hundreds in the process, Recently ,he was involved in the investment of a gentrification of a neighborhood in the West Coast, driving out the older residents in the process, and pockted a nice 9 million from it, some of it he skimmed from the company itself.

Tonight, Zorro was going to bring him down. Realizing security was going to be tight, Zorro put in a job with "Bug" a Underwolrd Broker he knew requesting assitance in breaking into the tower and finding any incriminating papers on Mr.Larson. He eventually found a semi-retired theif named Gambit and hired him. As Zorro scaled the building using the suction cups he bought for the job, he was wondering if it was wise to bring another man on this job, especially a theif. He evntually reached the top of the building and climbed onto the roof. He then peered into the darkness, trying to see if his "partner" had arrived.

Gambit has posed:
The eyes reveal the man first. Standing in the inky shadows they suddonly glow like Hellfire from the darkness. "Purple People Eater." the man says calmly, which is the code phrase that Bug had told the man in black to expect from his assistant for the evening. Stepping out of the shadows the man is tall, wearing some sort of head gear that spikes his hair up and a long tan duster. He's also carring a bo staff, waiting on the counter sign.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro eyes widened as his partner for the night emerged from the shadows. He wasn't expecting this Gambit character to be so flamboyant looking. However, what really caught his attention was his eyes, which glowed very bright. Zorro then cleared his throat and says," The Sparrow sings it's night song." This was the code that Bug told him to tell Gambit.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods and spins his bo staff in one hand and it collapses down to just over a foot in length. "So yah Zorro huh?" he looks the man over slowly. "Nice outfit mon ami." He walksw over to the edge, evidentally unaffected by the building's height. "Well den, which floor we goin' in?" he asks casually. He opens some sort of duffle, begining to remove his equipment from it...

Zorro has posed:
Zorro nods with a grunt, confirming his identity. Remy then complimented his outfit, which got a slight grin from Zorro as he said," Thank you amigo." As Remy and Zorro made their way to the edge of the building, Zorro looked at his partner and said," I believe Mr.Larson's office is on the 23rd floor. We will have to go in on the 25th. The building is patrolled by Athena Security Solutions, you familiar with them? Anyway, my feelings about Athena aside, do not harm any security guards you stumble upon, they are just innocent people doing their jobs."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau smirks ever so slightly, "Yah 'ired a t'ief mon ami, not an assassin." He says simply then adds, "Besides, if we run inta security gaurds, Ah've already done somet'ing wrong." he begins attaching a harness of some sort to his chest and nods. "Yah know 'ow ta use a McNeil Decender?" he asks casually, gesturing to another harness. "So none of mah business, but what dis Larson do ta yah?"

Zorro has posed:
Zorro nods and places on the harness after a few moments of examing it. He then looks at Remy and said," Larson did nothing to me personally. However, it is waht he has done to others that has gptten me angry. You see, i am in the business of standing up for the downtrodden and opressed and when Larson through Harold and Zimmerman backs a gentrification project that puts hundreds out of a home, it gets me angry. I want to make Larson pay for his villainy."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau shrugs slightly, "Politics. Gotcha." The Cajun says mildly amused, strapping his duffle around his shoulders and then falling backwards off of the edge of the building. About five stories away from the 25th floor it begins to slow, finally coming to a halt right in front of a massive window at the 25th floor. He looks up, waiting for the Hispanic man to join him as he begins attaching a divice to slowly remove the glass.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro just shrugs and says," You can say that". Now that he looked at it, his actions were pretty political, especially when he did them at Mutant Town. He eventually joined Remy at the 25th floor as he placed the device on it. Zorro turned to him and said," Using a glass cutter amigo?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau shakes his head slightly, "Not'ing so crass..." He says, manuvering on the line as effortlessly a a spider. He takes out a metal tubing of some sory that unfolds to completelty frame the glass. He presses a button on a controll and four screws slowly pull the window out, leaving about a one foot gap between the glass and the rest of the building.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro looks on with surprise as Remy literally removes the glass from the window without a sound. Seeing his opportunity to get in, Zorro moves towards the now opened window and grabs onto the ledge. He then pulls himself into the builidng, taking off the harness in the process.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau follows the black clad man into the building a moment later. "Alright mon ami, which way from 'ere?" he asks simply, his oddly colored eyes looking around for tale tell signs of security, but that sort of thing is remarkably rare in most buildings.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro stands in place for a bit, both thinking of which direction to go and keeping an ear out for security. He then says," We should head down the stairs to the 23rd floor, but keep an ear out for security." Zorro then began to slink across the office space, hiding in the shadows and ocassionaly arting across rows of cubicals. He eventually reaches the stairs and opens the door slightly and slips through.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau takes a seemingly more direct route, yet still manages to stay out of the range of cameras and any sort of laser tripwire. As though he had a sixth sense for such things. When they get to the stairwell door, Remy wouldn't let the other man open it at first, at least not until he brushed some sort of device over it, disabling the magnetic alarm. Quiet. Dark. Two shadows in the night.

Zorro has posed:
Eventually, Zorro and Gambit reached the door leading to the 23rd floor. After checking the door and opening it, Zorro lets out a soft swear and closes the door. He turns to Gambit and says," I think i saw a Athena security guard in the cubical farm, got a way to distract him?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau considers for a moment. "Dey only on dis floor, or dey patroling de 'ole building?" he asks calmly, going back into his bag of tricks, considering the situation critically.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro turns to Remy and said," I think there is only one guard on this floor. But, who knows how many more there are in this building. So, if you have anyhting, make sure it won't draw the rest of the building to this floor."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau considers that and nods. "Alrigh', give me a momen' Ah'll take care of de gaurd." He says taking something from his bag and slipping like a wraith into the floor. Without making a sound he comes up behind the gaurd...and taps him on the shoulder. When the man spins around shocked, the Cajun casually asks "'Scuse me. Does dis smell like chloroform ta you?" as he simultaniously covers the gaurds mouth and nose with a white cloth...

Zorro has posed:
The guard lets out a shocked gasp, which is quickly replaced with silence as the man collpases from the chloroform. Zorro, hearing the guard fall, comes in and says," Good job amigo, not let's hope he stays out long enough for us to get what we came for and leave." Zorro then slinks into the shadows once again, eventually stopping at a door. He pulls out a bobby pin and tries to pick the lock, but fails. Zorro lets out a swear and beckons Remy over, as if asking him to pick the lock.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau sighs a little bit, muttering something about Bobby pins and video games, taking out something that vaguely resembles a screwdriver, only treaded and very thin at the end. He slips it into the lock and presses a button on the side. After a few moments the lock clicks several times and the knob spins open. "Always carry de right tool foh de job," he says in an almost admonishing tone, letting the other man into the office.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro nods in thanks at Remy while making a mental note to get a burgulary kit for later jobs like this. Zorro slips into the office and immediatley begins going through Larson's desk, looking for a certain file. While he does, he beckons towards a safe and syas to Remy," Feel free to take anyhting you find in there. Don't want Larson getting off to easily now."

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau nods slightly, heading to the safe. He examines it for just a moment then heads over to Larson's wetbar and fills a glass full of water. Setting it on top of the safe and eyeing it carefully he slowly spins the dials, apparently able to divine something from that that allows him to get the correct combination almost instantly. He smiles a bit, taking a few dozen disks from the file as well as perhaps twelve grand in cash. Sister Mary Catherine is going to be able to buy quite the Christmas for the orphans this year...

Zorro has posed:
Zorro lets out a triumphant huff as he pulls out a folder from Larson's desk. He turns around and says to Remy," This file should ruin Larson. Now, let's get out of here before more security shows up!." Zorro then slinks out of the office."

Gambit has posed:
The trip back is rather...anticlimactic. Remy follows Zorro back to the stairwell. He pauses at the gaurd he knocked out and attaches a note that reads "I was ambushed from behind and chloroformed. Please don't fire me." to his shirt. After that it's back up to the office they came in. The Cajun reinserts the glass near seamlessly back into the windows frame, and less then 15 minutes after they jumped off of the roof they are packing the gear back up. Two shadows ready to vanish into the night.
