Date of Scene: 17 December 2019
Location: Katz's Deli, Lower East Side
Synopsis: Cammy and Sara find coffee and socialize.
Cast of Characters: Cammy White, Witchblade

Cammy White has posed:
In the later afternoon, the deli is not packed but there are still people ordering sandwiches even though it's after lunch. There are also people carrying coffee out of the deli, and Cammy peers at somebody carrying a Tall.

Cammy walks to the counter, "Sandwich?" the man asks her he chops up some lettuce, but he interrupts her as she starts to answer, "Pastrami? It's pastrami, right?" the man goes on and on. Cammy frowns sullenly as is her normal appearance, "Trying to order a coffee," she finally replies to him. "YEAH, we're waitin' on coffee! We're WAITIN'!" he lets out and turns to check on the coffee boiler. The quest stalls.

Witchblade has posed:
Sara's here for three main reasons. First. They do coffee. Second. It's her day off. Third. Did she mention coffee yet? She's here in all her 'just got out of bed, showered, and dressed sleepily' glory. She's dressed well enough, clothes are where they should be, buttons done up so she's not arrested for indecency....but...she's stood behind Cammy, and giving the poor guy interrupting the woman a look. It's not the look she's got in interview rooms. Rather, the sort of look that promises if he's not quiet and doing his job, he'll be her next crime scene. See. This is why the PD doesn't let Sara out on the streets before coffeee.

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy puts hands on her hips impatiently as the server/sandwhich guy fiddles with the coffee boiler thing, "Yeah," she mutters. She is wearing her gym outfit but has on this large winter coat with fluffy furry lining and a hood. It's green in color.

Cammy turns to look at Sara Pezzini as she stands there in the line, "Coffee's brewing, I guess," she tells the woman, "20 degrees today. But it's brewing," she reminds her, thumbing at the sandiwich guy.

Witchblade has posed:
"Bout time" Sara grumbles, she shakes her head and stretches. It's like she's just got up. Which, oh yes, she has. Awake after lunch. The joys of night shifts. Pezz nods, not looking back to the servr guy. Instead, Sara gestures to Cammy's coat. "Nice coat, I had one but it got ruined. Can't find a good one anywhere" she sighs, and inspects the ticket in hand. Sure, her number will be called...right?

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy smoothes her hand over the fluffy lining, "Hey thanks," she says and finally smiles, then glances at the counter again. The man is tapping the coffee boiler now.

Cammy looks back at Sara and adds, "It's new, actually," she tells her, "You from around here? I've never been in this deli actually."

Witchblade has posed:
Sara smiles, "Yep I'm from around here, though I usually get food to go. Off today so I figured I could come here and get something decent" Sara adds with a nod. "Yeah I had a lined coat like that. It sort of got ruined by boots and other stuff" Pezz nods, "Been trying to get a new one the past few days. My bosses won't let me put it on expenses. Plus it's hard to find one that's not tight. I know, I can just unzip it...but...." she sighs. "Gotta look presentable"

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy looks down at herself probably wondering what Sara means, "Well," she begins, "This one works fine," she adds generically, "Ordered it online," she tells her.

A tiny, little bell DINGS on the coffee boiler and the sandwich guy sloooooowly pours a cup of coffee. He plops it onto the counter, "NUMBA TWENTAH!" he announces and snags Sara's number, pointing at the coffee. He slooooowly pours another cup, "NUMBA TWENTAHHH-ONE!" he announces, "Wait, just a sec. Just a sec," he mutters as he fills the cup. Cammy crosses her arms.

Witchblade has posed:
Pezz nods, looking to the coffee. She looks for a table, grabbing the nearest one, having paid for coffee. She does feel bad for Cammy though so she gets up, looking to Cammy. "Yeah I've been here a few times honestly. It's a good place. You been here a lot?" Sara asks. While she was paying there's no mistaking her wallet has her badge into it, too.

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy eyes the sandwhich guy as he finally finishes pouring the coffee and turns around, plopping it down on the counter, "There ya go," he says. Cammy picks up the cup and looks at her as she pays for her drink, "Yeah, I like New York. I'm helping a friend with her gym. For a little while," she tells her. "She had some vandalism a week ago."

Witchblade has posed:
Pezz nods, Vandalism's not /technically/ her area of expertise. But she can help out. "Want me to help at all? Vandalism's no fun. If people try with my apartment I'll have a talk with them" Sara nods. If that doesn't work? Out come the blades. Sara though finishes up paying and returns to her seat, watching Cammy. Sara just..just...hates bullies. It's why she became a cop after all

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy stands at the side of Sara's coffee sipping and sipping, probably thinking about what to do about the gym situation, "I'm sure my friend wouldn't mind any help," she tells her, "I'm helping clean it up a little," she tells her. If that gets her involved in "cleaning" up the neighborhood, that might be unexpected, "Yeah, come by. I'll be there. Cammy," she says and motions to herself.

Witchblade has posed:
Sara sets her coffee down. "Sara" she says and offers a hand careful to not knock her coffeee over the table and them, her wallet on the table as it's open, her badge on display thanks to Sara opening it. Sara smiles. "Sure, where's the gym? I'll drive by or catch a ride there" she offers, glancing to the sandwich guy and wishing she'd bought their pastrami on rye. Sara could go for that right now.

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy shakes Sara's hand, "Hi Sara, coffee pal," she tells her and chuckles. She then thumbs up the street, "It's across town. My daily run takes me there," she says and smiles, "Yeah come by, you can talk to her. Work out. Whatever. She's putting security on the front," she tells her.

"It's a nice place, I think she had it made up so nice before those guys wrecked it."

Witchblade has posed:
Sara nods with a smile, "Coffee pals for life" she nods sipping said coffee and pocketing her wallet. "They they won't mess around making sandwiches?" Sara adds, as if tempting fate. She gets up and walks to the counter, ordering the famous rye. Without any lettuce. Nope. No lettuce. Sara waits, but turns to carry on talking to Cammy. "Most gyms are nice. They got a bad reputation" Sara adds, going back over to talk more with her new coffee pal. "I'll come by once we finish coffee, could do with a workout today before back to the grind tomorrow. I'm working with the NYPD, I'm a detective so I'm fairly sure your friend won't have issues with vandals again" Sara offers. She's just...not saying a word about the Witchblade yet. No need for that yet really. Sara's trying to play this by the book, too.

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy hasn't been ignoring Sara's badge but she didn't seem to want to talk about law enforcement, since somebody in the room might be a SHIELD agent with secret directions. She watches Sara go back up to the counter, then walks up with her to respond, "I'm just in town to help out. I'm staying at my friend's place," she tells her, "I used to have an apartment but I'm...traveling a lot," she explains. She takes a drink of her coffee, nodding as Sara explains her job with the NYPD, "Today? Okay cool, if you're free."

Witchblade has posed:
Pezz nods. "My day off today, so I figured I can always help out. Plus, I need to work out anyway" Sara adds. She's not worried about SHIELD, unlike Cammy. She's worried about sandwiches. Because Sara working her shifts means she's got odd sleep patterns. Oh and there was still her worries about the bank heist, too. She's still absolutely sticking to NYC if things are up to her. McCarthy gets to go back to Bloodhaven. Take a rookie. Sara? Staying right here, chilling thanks. "Apartments are useful, really. On the other hand, I'm looking for a place of my own. Mostly since I feel like I liv at my desk.I'd like to, just once, go home and relax" Sara adds while waiting on her rye. She does, though, pick out tomatoes. Lettuce, no. Tomatoes? Sure why not

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy eyes Sara's sandwich on rye and then glances at Sara again, "Day off?" she wonders, "Nice," she adds and smiles, "Looking on Manhattan? Could be expensive," she tells Sara. "I have to turn off my phone to do that," she explains dubiously, "Do you have your workout stuff? I think I have an extra leotard. I think we're...about the same size," she grins, as if it's a little amusing to her.

Witchblade has posed:
Sara smiles, "Sure thing, that'd be nice, and yes, we are the same size. Just one of us is taller, that's the distinction" Sara adds with a nod. "Nah I'm looking anywhere on my salary really. Working out may impres folks mind" Sara adds with a nodd. Turning her phone off's a good idea. Sara's not going to get away with that one, though

Cammy White has posed:
Cammy edges up on her tiptoes to make herself appear taller, "Taller? Nah, I'm pretty tall, you know," she comments competitively and then chuckles, "Check it, you ready?" she says and motions to the door. A whirl of fighting music echoes from Cammy's coat and she checks her blue phone, "It's open on the weekends too, so it's cool."

Witchblade has posed:
"Yep, ready" Sara nods. She'll just bring the rye and meats and cofffee to the gym. Because workout food. That's totally her reasoning. Indeed, she looks to Cammy. "Lead on, coffee pal" Sara adds with a wry grin thensips her coffee with a nod. Working out sounds good right about now.
