Cast of Characters: Aguila 6, Selene (Underworld)

Aguila 6 has posed:
Aguila Military Innovations has taken on a number of strange missions in the past. This one, however, might just be the strangest. They've been contracted to assist a woman known only as Selene in the destruction of what she referred to as Lycans. Werewolves. Supernaturally fast, strong and tough beasts that typically require huge amounts of damage or silver to kill. Selene's getting charged extra due to the cost of the ammunition.

It's night time.

Grant's present with a fireteam of his grunts. They're driving in a pair of SUVs, armed to the teeth with their weapons close at hand. They're currently in violation of any number of weapon laws since their longarms are fully automatic, they're all carrying explosives, one of them's got a grenade launcher and there's a LAW in the back of each vehicle. Despite this, there's a sense of apprehension among the mercenaries. All of them but their commander, whose posture and demeanor exude confidence.

"Alright, we're meeting our contact here," Grant says. They're currently in an alley behind some businesses that closed up earlier that evening. The only business that's still open anywhere nearby is something called 'The Bronze'. The dogs of war are not concerned by that. "We're going to try to keep our distance, God only knows what happens if a lycan gets to one of us. I really don't want to see what happens if I become a cyborg werewolf. I'm pretty sure I'd waste half the East Coast, though." The officer cracks a smile at that idea. "We're going to maintain our discipline out there, identify our targets before engaging and be ready at all times. Night vision on when we're outside, white light if we move inside. Is that all understood?"

The other men in both vehicles reply with "Roger" or "Si".

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's sat atop the Bronze. She's up there with her Death Dealers as well. She's brought a trio of her hand trained vampires. Leaping down, Selene watches the vehicles and mercenaries as she folds her arms. Sure, meet here. Selene had gone from the alley to the rooff. Now she's moving towardd the mercenaries, flanked by her Death Dealers, dressed like her in a long coat armed to the teeth. Selene's a walking armory, true...but Selene's also a leader, leading her Death Dealers.

"Ah" she says and nods to the mercenaries. "You don't want to know what I've asked you to do. Did you bring silver ammunition?" she adds, the look in her eyes conveying her hatred for said lycans. She'd reached out...behind the Council's back. She's keeping this a secret, paying out of her own pocket. There's no way the Council would evr let her do this, so...

Reaching into her coat, Selene's got her two tone machine pistols out and checks them for ammunition. Silver bullets? Check. Mercenaries? Yes. They even bought cars. Good idea.

"Selene" one of the Death Dealers says as Selene looks to her Death Dealer, then to the mercenaries. "Which of you did I speak to? I arranged this contract with your leader. Step forward?" Selene asks with a smile...fangs and all.

Aguila 6 has posed:
When the folks in long coats approach his vehicles Grant and his four men step out. The mercenary commander hefts his machine gun with ease, keeping it in front of his body, pointed towards the ground at an angle away from his employer and her warriors, "You spoke to me. Captain Grant Washington, Aguila Military Innovations." He inclines his head slightly, "We've got silver ammo for everything. Even wrapped our frag grenades in silver wire." There's a smile at that statement.

Then the merc will upnod, "We're damn good in urban environments, but we typically engage traditional human threats. Is there anything we should know about the lycans, beyond the fact that they're bigger, stronger, faster and tougher than humans? And that we've gotta lop their heads off or fill them with silver to take them down?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
"Don't let them bite you" Selene offers, the three Death Dealers with her arming themselves while Selene talks. She's rattling off a list of things to watch for werewolves. It's a long list, and Selene's keeping her guns by her side, safeties on as she watches Grant. "Ah, you're Grant" she nods. "I'm Selene. These are my Death Dealers"

She whirls, raising her guns as four lycans have come from the alley. In a blur, Selene moves and is up on the roof in what looks like a moment. Two more are coming around the front of the Bronze, too. Six lycans in all. Great. Selene's ready for this.

Aguila 6 has posed:
"Good to meet you in person," Grant tells the woman, giving her and her soldiers a nod of his head. A coupe of Grant's shooters lift their non-dominant hands to wave.

And then things start all at once! As the werewolves approach the little posse sent to deal with them Grant lets out a command in Spanish and his men aim their weapons in the direction of the greatest number of threats, opening fire quickly. They're disciplined and ready to rock despite the strangeness of the situation. Grant, meanwhile, turns towards the pair coming from the front of the business. His machine gun sounds almost like the world's loudest buzzsaw when he attempts to light up his foes, starting off with a nine round burst towards each beast.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's firing, too. The lycans are hit by the bullets and slowed, then driven back to the alley. Selene drops off the roof after running seemingly off it and leaps straight down. There's the sounds of gunfire, and....things getting sliced and stabbed. Selene emerges from the alley with her Death Dealers taking on several bleeding werewolves, waiting on the lycans to die. When the ones Grant opened up on do die, Selene shouts a warning. Who knew a Hellmouth was something lycans wanted?

Spinning on a heel, Selene slams her fist into a transformed lycan's nose, the four legged beast staggered, then snapping at empty air as Selene's already not there when the jaws close. She's standing on top of one of the businesses. It's like she's toying with the beasts...

Until two dozen lycans show up in SUVs, too. Selene's shaking her head. That was the worst thing they could have done. They aren't even smart, not wearing any armor...or clothes beyond casual sports wear. Selene's making no mistake. She points to the back of Grant's cars. The death Dealers are falling back to support Selene, too. If there was ever a time for Selene to hide a grenade launcher in her coat....

There's a whoosh, and a ball of fire. Great, somebody got one of her elitee dealers. Who came packing a LAW. Grant's not the only one with high explosives, though the sight of an elite Death Dealer firing a rocket from an alley then running away nearly has Selene laughing. She's leaping down to go hand to hand and draw the lycans into the line of fire. Not that they need much help. They're just, well, charging Grant's men. The transformed beasts are going after the Death Dealers, though silver throwing stars work wonders against the four pawed lycans. Not that they look good as pin cushions, though. Selene abandons her guns, and makes her way, in one blurry move, to a lycan she's got issues with. Pulling out a silver nitrate syringe, she empties it into his neck, and stabs him with a broken piece of wood. See, stakes may work on her. But she wants the lycans to be destroyed. If that means using bits of board from the businesses? So be it!

Aguila 6 has posed:
As the lycans appear in greater numbers Grant's men take cover behind their vehicles, two of them moving to open up the back hatches to get their hands on their rocket launchers. While they prepare the weapons so they can turn the lycans' vehicles into rubble the remaining mercenaries continue to engage the approaching beasts, one laying down suppressing fire with his light machine gun, the other firing his underbarrel grenade launcher towards one of the vehicles. The men doing the shooting are careful not to fire too close to Selene or her Death Dealers. They're the ones paying for this mission, after all.

Once Grant's first two targets are annihilated he turns around rapidly to see if there are more targets. And there are. A lot more. His machine gun comes up again so that he can start pouring silver bullets into the attacking monsters, walking forward even as he presses the trigger so that he can get between his men and the enemy.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's in her element. And yes, shooting the woman paying would be bad for Grant. The lycans are again driven back, though several are staggered, and Selene takes the opportunity to snap necks and tear hearts out. The vehicles are destroyed. Which, given they were rentals....is going to anger the rental firms several times over. Selene on the other hand has told her Death Dealers to beat back the lycans, and to oh yeah, make sure they die slowly, and painfully. The alpha's got a machine gun of his own, he's the only one smart enough to use guns, and he's spraying it in the general direction of Grant's vehicles. Said alpha's carrying a heavy machine gun with UV bullets. He came prepared....for the wrong species. Selene moves swiftly, and gets out of the way befoore she's shot to bits, though she does barely avoid the gunfire. Several transformed lycans get cut down by their alpha, mostly since they were focused on following Selene, and she led them right through the line of fire that the alpha was putting down. Shaking her head, Selene digs in her pocket, and pulls out a ziplock bag of meat, throwing it in the air. Lycans are carnivores, and Selene took the meat from the kitchen, so...she found a use for top drawer meat. The alpha drops his HMG to chase it. Selene's set the trap. Now she's sitting back, metaphorically, and waiting.

Aguila 6 has posed:
As Selene deploys her meat trap Grant and his men are quick to take advantage. Without a lot of cover left for the lycans in the form of their vehicles the mercenaries are likely going to be able to dish out a lot of damage. Grant fires his weapon quickly, faster than a human should be able to, the silver bullets he loaded tearing towards enemy. His men continue to fire, keeping up a steady stream of death. The three with rifles fire quick controlled pairs, the fellow with the machine gun lets off controlled seven round bursts. It's obvious that these men practice together a lot based on the way they work in concert with each other. When one runs out of ammo he yells it out in Spanish so that someone else can cover for him while he reloads. It's all surprisingly smooth.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene and her Death Dealers do as well. They were trained by Selene herself, after all. The meat trap's sprung and very effective, the alpha eating the bag and meat. That draws a shudder from Selene, though the alpha's occupied, choking on a ziplock bag, and unarmed. Selene's just waiting for the lycan to die, like the others have. It's just Grant, his people, Selene, her Death Dealers, and....ah yes, the alpha now. The alpha's thrashing about choking on the bag, as Selene is both impressed...and slightly worried for a moment or two. She though does nod to the vehicles, then Grant and his men as if letting them know her part in this is done, it's Grant's kill.

Aguila 6 has posed:
With the alpha lycan occupied it's a simple matter for Grant to hose him down with silver bullets, letting the rounds shred the beast. Once that's taken care of he sees Selene's nod and call out in Spanish to his troops, who have stopped firing by now. They take turns performing tactical reloads before getting into the vehicles, Grant being the last to get inside. Through the window of his SUV he lifts a hand towards Selene and her guys in a little wave before his driver takes off, trying to get clear of the scene before law enforcement arrives.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's keeeping pace on her bike, too. She lifts a hand to wave, then hunches low on the bike and....manages to pull away from them all. She's at a stop light, and transferred the money. Once the light turns green, Selene's heading home. Back to the estate.
