Cast of Characters: Blade, Selene (Underworld)

Blade has posed:
Blade has been hunting around Brooklyn since the other night's encounter with Mary Marvel and the vampire attack on her. He has been sweeping through the burrough looking for further signs of a coven in the area. If there were four leeches it couldn't have been a coincidental attack.

Tonight he has maded his way closer to the riverfront, looking at old warehouses for obvious signs of use. Standing on a rooftop across the street from one such storage yard, he watches patiently.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's out in Brooklyn for her own reasons. Furred, lycan reasons. Crouched on her bike, Selene cuts a dark, dangerous figure. Her bike's got no lights on, mostly since she's rolling to a halt and slides off the bike. Adjusting the coat, Selene's dangerous and she's hunting lycans too, and.....oh yeah, she's looking around the street. She's smart enough to park her bike under a streetlight....like anyone would be stupid enough to steal it.

She does though, know of the vampires.Secretly she's hoping to run into them. She could use the fight.

If they don't book it thanks to her reputation, the greatest Death Dealer the vampires have.

Blade has posed:
Blade watches as a figure emerges from the warehouse. Standing there, the figure shakes a cigarette out of a pack and lights it. After a moment, exhaled smoke billows upward and the figure begins to walk along slowly as if patrolling the area. An area that shouldn't be active yet is. Dropping from the rooftop as if it were only a step above the groud, the dark clad hunter began to walk purposefully toward the freight yard. And, as always, he wears sunglasses.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's moving quickly now, moving with purpose. She knows about the warehouse, the joys of being the military leader of a coven of vampires, and having science-y types, researchers, and being fed intelligence. Selene found out about this place by Death Dealers just, quite literally, overhearing it be blabbed about in a bar. That info got back to Selene. For the past few nights, she's posted a Death Dealer on surveillance. Tonight? She's doing this herself. Her curiosity's got the better of her and she's moving quicker now, keeping her head up and hands within easy reach of weapons. No cigarettes for her. Instead....she's got weapons, and one hell of a reputation.

Blade has posed:
Blade is, as yet, unaware of the illustrious lycan hunter also closing in on the warehouse. He leaps over the fence, landing catlike. Moving up behind the guard, he lashes out with his hand, stabbing the vampire witha custom silver stake. As it impales the creature, holy water injects into the target and in moments all that remains is a smoking outfit formerly clad about the vampire.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene moves quickly, vaulting the fence as well as she pauses. Watching the staking, Selene concentrates and stares at the warehouse, searching for a way in. Looking it over, she moves quickly and leaps to the roof, searching for a skylight. Or, something like that. Clad in her black coat and armor, she's ready for battle. Finding her way in is priority one. Survival's priroity two.

Blade has posed:
Blade stood up and turned, making his way toward the warehouse from the other end, leaving an unknown number of vampires between himself and Selene. There are a good number of skylights, any of them easily manipulated into letting the most dangerous of dealers in death to have entrance.

Blade for his own part, slips in through the door the guard was planning to use. Inside there are a dozen vampires moving around, loading up what looks to be a refridgeration trailer with... unwilling human cattle.

Blade growls quietly. This is going to be messy.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's more interestted in cutting power to the warehouse first and foremost. Given it's out here in Gravesend...she doesn't want to kill the power to the whole borough. That'd get questions asked. More...just the warehouse. She's peering through a skylight for a moment, then resumes hunting for powerr boxes to ruin. So what if it kills the power to the next building? Small price to pay. Foot, meet skylight, too. Selene drives her booted foot into a skylight then finally, finally resumes searching for a power box.

Blade has posed:
Crashing and clattering glass shatters across the cement floor. The vampires know someone is here now. The power junction box Selene was searching for is not far away. Across twenty foot catwalk, easily reached. Or shot perhaps.

Blade heard the glass but is already in motion when the vampires start to react to the sound. His sword is out and he slashes his way through two in the blink of an eye. They don't go down silently but that was what he was hoping for. He wants their attention away from the humans they're trying to herd into the trailer.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Or throwing star thrown at. Which is what she does, dropping down and into the warehouse and going for the power box. She draws her Berettas and spins oon a heel. Opening fire, Selene drops herself off the catwalk and is firing into the vampires. Her goal? The trailer. Get the humans free. Watching them all, she whirls, putting lead toward vampires. And anything in her way really. She's not caring. Normally she'd kill lycans. but tonight? Oh, Victor is going to...actually she doesn't know. The war's between vampires and lycans. Not vampires and vampires. Selene shouldn't be getting involved. But she is. She's in the midst of it, cutting down vampires with bullets. Shaking her head, Selene lunges more into battle. This is what she does best, her hair staying put, and digging a hand in her coat for other things to kill the vampires with.

Blade has posed:
Sparks erupt into a brief shower as the power goes out in the building. Blade slashes his way through another vampire before he encounters a hulking figure. The sort of person a vampire would turn into one of their own if they were looking to have a perfectly loyal enforcer. the kind who can pick up just about anyone and body slam them to the ground. And then proceed to pound such a person into a pulp.

Blade has just just met this sort of vampire. He is on his back and he is getting beaten. It actually hurts.

A growl begins deep in his chest before his fist drives up and connects with the vampire's chin. It buys him a moment. Enough to get to his feet.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene pulls the trigger. Several dozen times with her guns aimed at the hulking vampire. She's so, so over these musle bound meathead vampires, and ready to throw down. Throw down more, that is as Selene opens up more bullets on the vampires. It's loud, it's dangerous. She leaps up to the catwalk, and launches herself off the other side of it. Sure, Selene. Show off for the nice man who is getting pummelled why don't you? That's what she's unintentionally doing, and shooting the vampires. Did anyone order Swiss vampire cheese?

Blade has posed:
Blade didn't expect to get help. But he'll take it for now. On his feet again, he draws his own weapons and begins to shoot at the vampires. They fall like one expects, bursting into brief flame and then just cinder and ash. Yet there are more. There are always more. And so he fights on, seeing now that Selene is also fighting. But something isn't right about her. She, well, she's clearly one of them. But she helped him. Possibly.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene spins, and unloads more bullets. "It's Selene. F..." the vampire nearest them grunts, before getting shot to ribbons. Selene's just that dangerous. She turns, and has a dark smile on her pale lips. Shaking her head, Selene laughs softly. The vampires heard her name. It's not her type of vampire. Instead, Selene holsters one of her Berettas in her coat, and pulls out a metal cylinder. She tugs at it it, rolling it into the mass of vampires. Then she moves in a blur getting out of the way. She just threw a Molotov cocktail, in grenade form, into a mass of vampires. Death Dealer, yes. Arsonist? She hopes not. Still she's got things for vampires, and lycans, and pesky humans too. Watching from behind a crate, Selene smiles to herself. Victor's just going to hear she was fighting off vampires that attacked first...and the guy she helped? Half her coven will ask questions.

Sliding her pistols back out, she resumes firing and opens up on the vampires again.

Blade has posed:
Blade continues to fire. More of these vampires come pouring out of the lower storage level. Ammunition runs out. But fire is the great equalizer. It explodes and proceeds to decimate the vampires. Blade rolled behind the trailer and then as the flames died down he stepped back out. Looking at the humans in the trailer he shouted, "out! Move! Don't look back." Then he looks to Selene, weapon raising.

One shot. Not at her but past. Into the head of a vampire moving to attack her. Walking up to her he lowers his weapon. "Not many vampires attack their own kind."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene spins and fires several more times, reloading as she looks to the vampires, then to Blade again. She whirls again, a throwing star thrown into the mix of vampires. Watching them, Selene springs up to the catwalk and waits up there. Looking down into the mass of vampires, Selene watches. She's out of fire weapons. Which is bad for her wanting to take on vampires

Blade has posed:
Blade looks to the group of vampires recoiling from the flames. Pulling two grenades from inside his trenchcoat, he pulls the pins and tosses both down the stairway. He looks to Selene, "Better find some cover." He, curiously, does not. Only a few seconds elapse and then a violent ultraviolet flash illuminates the area. Along with an explosion and the shrieks of perishing vampires.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene finds cover, good thing she can move quickly. She's atop the roof again while the grenades go off. Watching it through the skylights, Selene's waiting it out before dropping back in again. She lunges off the catwalk and watches the vampires. "You're not lycans" Selene says, watching and then turns to Blade. "And just what are...and who are you?" she calls over the noise. She's adding to the noise by throwing everything at said vampires. It's a wonder she's not thrown a kitchen sink at them yet. Then again, she's not sure it'll fit in her coat.

Blade has posed:
And with that last unloading of firepower, the last of these rebellious vampires has been brought to their final end.

Blade looks to Selene as humans have cleared out of the building and the last of their enslaving captors have been destroyed. "Blade." He doesn't answer the first question. "You're not part of their coven I'm guessing."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene looks to Blade with a quiet look. "Blade" she says with a shrug. "Blade, as in, a weapon?" she asks with a look to him, holstering her weapons in her coat, then fixes her eyes on him. "I am Selene. You're not running away" she says with a look over Blade again. Shaking her head she has hands in her pockets again, the entire coat is packed with things for death dealing....be it lycan or, even, vampire

Blade has posed:
Blade looks at her. "Selene. The enforcer from Europe? Your kind doesn't attack its own kind. Why did you do it here? Why help me?" He shakes his head, "I'm no lycan." Not exactly a vampire either of course.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene nods, "I am. Victor's sired, if you want to call me that" she says, eyes showing if he does...she'll attack. "I am in this country to help my coven. It's in its infancy, and I was tasked to secure this warehouse" Selene offers. Vague, following orders stuff. Stuff she can point to and say 'Look. The council made me do it!' if asked. She does though raise an eyebrow at Blade. "So. You know who I am? Yes, we don't attack our own kind....usually. But this is not a usual situationn"

Her last two warehouses haven't been usual. Lycans fighting vampires over Count Chocula....and now this. Selene's starting to think she's cursed, or something when it comes to warehouses. She does, though, look around for anything to explain why the vampires were here. Aside from exhibit A, the trailer. "What did the vampires want? They were not my type of vampires" she offers

Blade has posed:
Blade nods to that. "Very unusual. They don't often harvest humans so blatantly. There had to be more to this than just a truck load of blood." He looks ack to her. "Your vampires, their vampires. Can't say I see a lot of difference. But you didn't attack me. So, at least for now, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Unless you give me a reason to think otherwise."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene keeps her eyes on Blade with a step toward him. "You think" she says, tone cold. "They are my vampires? No. I could say thesame about you, are they your vampires?" Selene asks. She looks over Blade again, then looks to the trailer and back to Blade. She shakes her head. "No, they're not your vampires, are they. My coven do not herd human. We solved our blood problem"

With that she pulls a silver spike out, and rolls it in her fingers. Opening it, she reveals a vial of blood and holds it up to the light. "We solved our blood problem" Selene says simply, downing the vial.

Glancing to Blade again, she looks over the dhampyr again. "Why. Why would vampires want humans for feeding, and who were those vampires?" she asks.

Blade has posed:
Blade shrugs indifferently. "I don't typically trust the word of vampires. But you're not a typical vampire are you?" And then she asks if they were his and he bursts into laughter. "MY vampires?" he reached up and removed his sunglasses to reveal his amber eyes. "I'm not a vampire." Well not at least entirely. "They don't look for civilized methods to end the need for blood. They thrive on the hunt and kill over here. The suffering and terror. And that is why I... a Dhampir, hunt them down."

Off in the distance sirens can be heard. Looking to her he puts the sunglasses back on. "Time to go. Catch you 'round."

He disappears out of the warehouse as emergency responders and police begin to arrive.
