Synopsis: Selene runs into Henry in Central Harlem. They discuss movies and things
Cast of Characters: Selene (Underworld), Beast

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Night's fallen on Central Harlem. There's the usual city buzz tonight. Selene's part of that buzz, walking the streets of Central Harlem. She's supposed to be hunting lycans, like every other night. Instead she's blowing it off, exploring the big city she's found herself in. Selene's got her coat on, weapons, but no desire to put holes in anything just yet. She's curious about the city, the neighborhood. Reading, apparently, is something that sparks the curiosity in the great Death Dealer. Oh, she knows already about Central Harlem. But tonight, she's playing tourist. Alright, a vampire tourist....but tourist none the less.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy leans on a wall, three street hot dogs in one hand, his phone in the other, a coke tucked into his arm. He munches one hot dog. If he looks like a werewolf, well then how dare you suggest the giant, fuzzy man with fearsome claws out at night, waiting for someone to meet him, looks like a werewolf.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's not mistaking the fuzzy hot dog eater for a werewolf. Instead, she's looking that way with her own phone out, as if she's Googling information on where she's at, city wise. Muttered words in Hungarian can be heard as Selene's looking around, taking it all in. No werewolves. Just somebody fuzzy eating hot dogs. That's a tick in the 'not going to shoot' column there. Besides, Selene's on a short leash tonight. Just observe and report back. Don't start any trouble. She could, though, go for a hot dog. With sugar. Because...why not

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy happens to be watching the Wrath of Khan. as Selene walks by, she hears "Khan you bloodsucker! You're gonna have to do your own dirty work now, do you hear me? Do you?" hissed by William Shatner. The hot dogs meanwhile are vanishing quickly.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selenes over as she walks, the hissing getting her attention. Shaking her head she looks up and pockets her own phone. "You're watching a movie about...?" she asks. She's guessing it's a movie, because nobody sane would just say that out loud. Then again. Sane. New York, thesedays. They don't always go together....but Selene gestures to the hot dogs that are vanishing. "How much?" she asks, "For one from the vendor, I mean"

No way she's going to take one of his hot dogs. That's just mean.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy looks up. Not imagining a passer by is a vampire reacting to the word bloodsucker used in anger, he smiles "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Khan just caused Captain Terrell to kill himself, and Kirk is mad. They're 3 bucks from the cart just across the street. I talked him down to 10 for 4." But there are two left.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene laughs. A rich, deep laugh. "I heard of that movie, but..." she says, giving the Hungarian dubbed version of that line. "It's not that bad" she offers. Meaning it's not that bad in her view. She does though give the cart a look, as if appraising it for edible food. True, Selene can eat food. And she'll just grab ketchup and pretend it is blood, though given her fangs are visible while she's talking....

She walks to the cart and hands over $10 for ten bucks worth of hot dogs, ordering more ketchup than anyone normally would. And mustard. And onions, too. She skips the garlic, though and resumes her spot by Henry. "You're a movie fan?" she asks between bites, licking the ketchup off her fangs with a quick flick of her tongue.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy is pretty impressed that the woman buys four hot dogs herself. Nodding. "Well. I hope you're as hungry as I am. But then again, I burn a lot." he chuckles, looking down at his size. "I'm a Star Trek fan more than a movie fan, to be honest. Name's Hank."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene shakes her head. "Ah. I thought you were a movie fan?" she asks and chews on a hot dog. It's food. It's not blood, but it'll do. She's got tricks up her sleeve for that. Though dipping a hot dog in blood may well freak the poor guy out....then again compared to him Selene's athletic and lithe. Not large. Still, Selene nods. "Movies are good for killing time though" she adds between more bites, looking thoughtful. Four hot dogs bought. Four still to go. Well, just over three and a half, that is.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy shrugs, as he carefully stops the movie and puts his phone back into his pocket, adjusting his hands. Starting on hot dog three now. "I don't mind a good movie. But for me, Star Trek movies are ona higher plane. And that's precisely what I'm doing. Waiting for a kid who started his first day of work today, to walk him home to Bushwick."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene understands that. WHat little time she has away from this grand war...she occupies how she pleases. Be it movies, or other things. Selene's not about to say no to good movies...but...

"I listen but I don't agree" she says. "It's a movie, yes? How is one movie better than another?" Selene asks. That's another thing to ask the servants, really. Another thing to learn about. How and why movies were different. Six hundred years is a long time, "I remember when movies were silent though, you had to pay attention" Selene nods. Hot dog two started for her

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy is taken aback, then laughs. "Good one. It's hard to imagine that that was really like. What, 120 years ago? Imagine seeing that scope of change in society. That's just unfathomable to me. To go from a time before computers, before television, before jets, before space travel... and end up here. But yeah, some movies are more fun than others. Some movies are serious. Some are funny. Some are Star Trek. What's your favorite?"

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's taking her time to answer. She's lived that change. "I know about how the world changes" she says simply, and shrugs. "Films from my country. I doubt you know of them, unless...." she pauses and looks quiet for a moment, reeling off Hungarian films. "Those are a few my country hold in high regard"

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy pauses, finishing his third hot dog. <<Hungarian? I had an office mate at NYU from Budapest. I don't think I've sen any of those movies before.>>

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene nods. "Yes. Hungarian. Ah then you should seek them out, yes?" she asks with a smile, fangs and all....fangs that sink into a hot dog and splatter ketchup over them, and her mouth. Selene holds the hot dog steady while she chews on it. "Budapest is a beautiful city" she adds once her mouth's empty.
If you're not killing lycans, that is....Selene rarely gets time to approve of the beauty of cities or countries.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy keeps speaking in Hungarian after downing his final hot dog rapidly, and washing it down. <<I flew over it once. At high speed.>> he snickers, referring to the Blackbird of course. <<So are they of a particular theme or genre?>>

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene shakes her head, "No, not really. I just watch whatever I can get my hands on when I have a few hours to kill" she offers and chews more on her hot dog. Watching him she shakes her head. "You fly over countries at high speed? Yet you know their language?" Selene asks and looks down the street, then smiles. "Talented"

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy chuckles and goes back to English now. "I know a few languages. But yeah, my lab mate was from there, and I ended up learning some of the language. Not as well as other language sthough. And I was on a plane, of course."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene nods and looks amush she's glancing down the street again for a moment, then looks to Henry again. "It's fascinating what you learn when you travel" she says and then steps back, like she's gearing up to run, or, or....something. "See the world, and see where you fit in it"

Oh, Selene knows where she fits in it alright. She absolutely knows. By Victor's side, in this great war against the lycans.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy grins, and his phone makes a sound. He pulls it out. "Aww. Looks like Jake is having to work late his first day, which is why he's not here. I'm gonna arrange a ride rather than wait here all night. Let him go home in luxury. Good look miss. Hope you like the rest of your hot dogs. I'm a fan of street dogs, always have been."
