Spoiler has posed:
The standoff with Poison Ivy has stretched on. Various covert missions to the island have done their best to keep going those who are still trapped there. But Ivy's choice to make her move in the chaos that followed Batman's fight with Superman proved to be good timing. There had not been enough time to take care of her and everything else going on, not with so many hostages at risk.

Today a small drone flies over the island. Arcing down nearer to the ground in the nearest open area to Ivy's compound, a small package is let go to drift down by parachute. Once it reaches the ground, a voice can be heard emanating from the package loudly so it will be heard. "Pamela, this is Batgirl. I'd like to speak. Providing you with a radio here. No tricks, you have my word."

The message keeps repeating to make sure that Ivy is able to notice it, as she did the activity at the boat dock on a previous trip by Batgirl's to the island.

Poison Ivy has posed:
Ivy is every vigilante against the possibility that the Bat-Family might come trying to take from her which she's owed. She played good with them and was forgotten. They knocked the thrones off the rose and left it sitting in the garden to wilt, hoping that she'd sufficate herself beneath the glass roof her greenhouse.

They were wrong.

Watching all through her plants, she sees the package delivered and hears the voice of Batgirl announcing there shall be no tricks. She doesn't trust the Bats... she's grown wise to just how deceitful Batman can be to accomplish his mission. The only line seperating him from the criminals he fights is a faint one... at least in Ivy's personal opinion.

It is shortly after the package arrives that there's a quiet click and Ivy's sultry voice speaking across it, "What do you want?"

Spoiler has posed:
"Hello Pamela," comes the voice that Ivy's heard before when Batgirl came to visit her and brought the rare plant as a gift. "I wanted to speak about the people that you're holding there. I know a number of them are in poor shape. Medical care is nearly non-existent there. I know you're not a cruel person to want to see anything suffer. I'd like to ask that you let those in the worst condition be evacuated from the Island," Batgirl's voice says.

Back in the Batcave, Batgirl is sitting at the large computer system, letting it broadcast from another location to protect the Batcave's secrecy. She has the latest surveillance of the island, and a list of those known to be on the island, and those who were last know to be there, sorted out by likely medical conditions.

Poison Ivy has posed:
Ivy listens from the safety of her garden. Atop which has grown a massive tree that would rival even some of the skyscrapers of Gotham Island proper. The shadow of her hovel casts shadows down amidst the underbrush, bathing her simply clad form in darkness as she rubs the tip of her pinky along her plump red lips while listening to Stephanie's request.

"The people here are seen after better than any medical facility would ever be able... I am a doctor and a scientist. MY plants provide medicine that hospitals would drool over... and I give it to them for free." Her own voice is heavy, intentionally seductive despite what she's saying. "They only need to behave.. the only people in any harm here are the ones who attempt to cause harm... or come here against my warnings..." She settles the radio into her lap, atop one thigh crossed the other.

Spoiler has posed:
The radio stays silent while Ivy is transmitting, as if the other person on the end is listening and letting her speak as she will. "I appreciate that you're looking out for them. They also have families and others who need them. There are parents whose children are asking where they are, who had to spend Christmas without them. There are ten women with babies who were visiting the island and never made it out," Batgirl finally replies.

"I know that wasn't your intent in doing this, but it's the result. Will you let some of these families be reunited, Pamela?" Batgirl transmits. She lets up on the microphone and sits chewing her lip. She knows she's not the best at talking people into things. But then she did this in part in hopes the genuineness might show through, given that.

Poison Ivy has posed:
Ivy lifts the radio instantly to respond, but then lowers it once again. Just far enough to run her thumb across her lip, staring out across the garden, eyes narrowed as if Batgirl were right there for her to wilt with that stare. When she finally speaks, it's in a chilly voice, "Fine." Releasing the transciever, "But if you use it as an means to attack, I will do far worse than seperate families for christmas."

Spoiler has posed:
"Just want to see some kids and their parents reunited," Batgirl replies. "I've reached out to Green Peace. They have a ship docked in New York, and are willing to provide the transportation. I'll contact you again shortly to arrange the final details."

Stephanie leans back in the chair, microphone off for a moment as she lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank you Pamela. It will mean a lot to a bunch of kids out there," she says. She brings up the contact information for the Green Peace people she'd spoken to earlier. "You can use this radio to contact me again as you like, I'll respond as soon as I'm able."

Poison Ivy has posed:
The Radio has gone silent, but it is not dead. Through the computer it's obvious she's kept it so that Stephanie can arrange the extraction when it's put together.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie shuts down the radio though has the Batcomputer monitoring the frequency and set up to alert should anything come in on it. She considered doing something special with the radio, but in the end decided to play it straight up and honest. Part of Stephanie still hoped she could get through to the woman, though those hopes were but tiny ones.

Stephanie leans back in her chair after finishing arranging the trip to the island with Green Peace. "Well, that certainly could have gone worse," she says to herself. Her eyes go over to the Christmas tree that Alfred set up in the Batcave. "Enough kids go without a special Christmas in their lives, without adding more to the list," she says quietly, thoughts somewhere other than 2027. She sighs and rises from the chair to head out. Time to go check on Carrie.
