Hunting for fairies

Location:	Apple Park - Salem Center
Synopsis:	While chasing down a fairy, Megan meets Piper, who saves her from falling from a tree.

Pixie has posed:
It's a chilly day in the park and this early in the morning, there aren't a lot of people outside to enjoy the snowy cold flurries that are on the horizon. Megan is on her way home from shopping when something shiny in the park catches her attention. "Hmmm, What was that?" she blinks and peers around, wandering off the cement path into a thicker clump of trees, trying to find the source of that brief spark of light.

Piper Halliwell has posed:
Piper's out and about this early, wintry snow still exciting to her. She's not a little kid, if anything, Piper's mature and responsible. Which explains why she's out here at this hour, the magic in the trees nice and relaxing. She rubs her hands together and shivers a little. It's cold, but in a nice way. She's out here instead of in a nice warm P3. Piper takes a look around and stretches with a smile, she was up insanely early, and didn't get to bed till late. The joys of coffee. Strong coffee, that is, Piper's got a styrofoam takeout cup in her hands, cradling it, almost inhaling the steam.

Pixie has posed:
There's, another glint of light coming from a nearby tree and Megan's eyes widen, stepping closer to the trees. She's dressed in her white puffer jacket, her insectoid wings pressed against her back and hidden under her jacket, although she still prefers the warmth of Summer over winter. But at least it's not biting cold as she peers up at a particularly tall tree and starts to climb it. It freaks a little even u set her light weight but it doesn't stop her or her curiosity from pursuing that spark of light. From up here she can see Piper more easily and vice versa but her focus is on the small sparkly creature that darts about on a tree limb that is just out of reach. If only she wasn't wearing this jacket over her wings it would be easy just to fly, but she really ought to learn to climb trees and not be so lazy.

Piper Halliwell has posed:
Piper's watching the light too, watching it and Pixie, which has caught her attention. She's curious about th egirl climbing trees....and settles into an easy walk, strolling to the tree. Putting a foot on it, she remembers this isn't the best of ideas, and quickly puts both her feeet on the ground. Because, no, Piper's not part tree climbing thing. She's a witch, witches don't climb trees....usually.

So she gazes up at Pixie and the light.

"Hey" she calls up to the branches. "You okay up there?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn continues to follow the flying glittery creature, eyes widened in wonder as she reaches out an arm towards it. She can sense something - magic? - from it, although she's still not sure what she is seeing, "Heey wait up, who are you?" she glances below and waves to Piper, "I'm okay! I think it's a fairy!" unfortunately she is distracted enough that she missteps, the branch snaps and she loses her grip, fallowing towards the ground and Piper. At this dizzying height, this could really hurt. "Aaaaaaaahhhh!" she screams as she falls.

Piper Halliwell has posed:
Piper throws her hand out, eyes watching Pixie and the branch. Looking to it, Piper's more concerned about hurting the girl any. She shakes her head and eyes wide at the falling girl and branch. If anything, she thinks this is her fault. Then again it's not her falling from a tree, so hand thrown out, Piper's on edge. The ground tends to hurt. It's not like there's cotton candy and feathers under the tree!

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn shrieks as she falls towards the ground...It's too fast for her to squeeze out of her jacket and cardigan to try and fly out of it and so she braces for impact...Only to find that time has seemingly stopped still moment before she meets the ground. "Waaahh....?" of course he4 mind is frozen now too so she can't even talk.

Piper Halliwell has posed:
Piper's piling up leaves while Pixie's frozen. Well, leaves and things to break her fall, and once done...she unfreezes time. Which is a useful trick to have, really. Piper's stood under Pixie when time unfreezes, though. She's not that quick. That'd just be unfair.

Pixie has posed:
"....aaaahg..?" she blinks as she lands more lightly on the ground than she should have. "Wow! that was trippy...Crazy fairy thing nearly killed me..." fairy? Yep. That's what she said, must be nuts. "Phew, I don't think I broke any bones..."

Piper Halliwell has posed:
Piper's not splatted. Yay. Now she's gotta explain how that pile of leaves got there and time stopped. Oy joy. She takes a breath. "Are you okay?" she asks simply, kneeling on the ground to check the leaves....and Pixie for damage. "You took a fall from up in that tree. I was going to check out that fairy but, but....remembered I don't climb trees well"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks, climbing slowly to her feet, brushing off the leaves. "Yeahh..Good thing those leaves broke my fall...Did you do that?" if she did, she was pretty darn quick. "Ooh, I think I'm a bit bruised but no broken bones...Yay! Ohhh." she blinks, glancing up at the tree, then at Piper. "You saw it too? Was it a real fairy? For reals!?"

Piper Halliwell has posed:
"I'm not sure" Piper offers, brushing leaves off her hands and jeans. "You're bruised, you need to sit down or anything?" she adds looking concerned at the girl. "Yeah I put the leaves there to break your fall. Thank you for not plummeting down onto my head though" Piper nods, sitting on the ground to illustrate her point, looking up at the tree.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn bites her lip as she peers way up into the trees. "Yikes! That's a long way to falll...It's okay really, I've been banged up worse." she grins, "So! Have you seen fairies before? Or other magical creatures? That was so...Lush! I've never seen one before.." ironic, given she's seen tiny dragons and let's not forget she is herself a fairy like mutant. But Megs isn't a fairy herself...Is she?

Piper Halliwell has posed:
Piper nods. "I've seen magical things, yes" she says, "But that's my first fairy" she says gently, "And I'm not a fan of climbing up there to see one, though. Just means a bigger drop" she sighs and loooks to the fairy. "C'mere" she adds with a stern look. She's thought of as everyone's mom, true, but....Piper's not about to get into a magical shouting match with a fairy

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn oooh, "I thought only magical people could see magical things. But that's amazing! " she too, glances skywards and seems to shimmer a little, murmur get some odd words under her breath. Megs holds up her hand, whispering to the tree. "Assskraff...Elingstop..." the fairy suddenly emerges from the tree and flutters to land on Megan's hand.

Piper Halliwell has posed:
Piper smiles watching the fairy. "I'm magical" she offers, looking to Pixie as the kitchen witch closes her eyes for a moment, looking peaceful. "If you're okay, then...." she says softly, chanting under her breath as a small camp fire's next to her. It'll help, and Piper's keeping a watching eye on it.
