Two Questions One Doctor
Date of Scene: 15 January 2020
Location: Sanctum Santorum
Synopsis: Rogue goes to talk to Strange about some stuff and things... just like Rick Grimes would talk to Laurie Grimes about.
Cast of Characters: Rogue, Doctor Strange

Rogue has posed:
Once she took a few days off to recover from her journey around the damn universe, Rogue comes down to Manhattan via her Bentley to arrive outside a place she used to live at for a spell... get it? Hu hu hu.

Her car door is shut, she pulls her jacket on over her shoulders and adjusts her hat as she steps up to the door and doesn't even bother knocking on it. She gives glance around outside though, first, before she moves to try to enter the Sanctum without announcing herself...

Doctor Strange has posed:
The doors of course know exactly who it is that's approaching them. They're the ones that allow such people to even get the will power to approach. So as Rogue nears the door swing inward, slowly and easily for the southern mutant.

Inside Stephen is standing with a box in his scarred hands. The golden box shines with a unnatural light and the green gem at the peak of the box seems to flow with a sort of serpent like movement on the inside. Stephen turns his head as he passes the foyer entry way and lifts one of his black eyebrows. "Anna Marie, what a pleasant surprise. Come, help me." Stephen says with a motion of his head towards the stack of identical boxes behind him.

Rogue has posed:
Once the doors part for her and Rogue sees him just inside she has a soft smile show on her face as she steps inside and places her hands inside of the pockets of her charcoal colored peacoat. She looks him over, notes what he's got there in his possession and she tips her chin up just a little.

"What are you up to...?" She asks in a suspicious sort've way. A few more casual steps forward further into the home and the mutant's pale green eyes look left and right...

"Still no Wong?" She asks then next.

But ultimately she comes to a stop just before him, a deemed safe distance away from the mysterious Doctor and his mysterious actions. "Did ya hear what happened on New Years?" She then asks next.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen lifts his eyebrows again as he's holding a box and Rogue feels like playing a game of twenty questions so Stephen sets the box down onto the entry table and pats it once, leaving his hand on it as he turns to look at Rogue.

The man takes in a slow breath and in perfect order. "I'm re-stacking this prisons. No, Wong has not returned, though he has sent word that he's still doing his own soul searching. No, what happened on New Years? I was quite busy brokering peace talks in another dimension where I upset the host and was prisoned for weeks." Stephen explains and then steps away from the tiny prison over to the stack of near identical boxes, the only difference being a different color gem stone on the top of each with a different kind of movement inside the stones.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue watches the Doctor move to set the box down and she steps over to the table's edge to stare at it. She even bends over to look at it more closely and eyeball details upon it. "Soul searchin', huh. That must mean he's in Amsterdam." She straightens up then and grins to Stephen. Hands still in her coat pockets she gently nods her head at him. "That sounds like you're kinda way'a rinin' in the New Year... Doc." She states that and punctuates it with a light lopsided grin.

"Well, Carol invited me t'Stark's New Years Eve Bash, and it was goin' pretty good until some space alien woman showed up out've a Portal and apparently started askin' about a 'stone' of some kind? I wasn't paying attention when it went down... not till the fightin' happened. Thats when, well--" She sighs heavily. "Fists flyin', piano's flyin' and Carol'n and I end up in a portal that sends us t'some ice planet a billion space miles away." Her eyes drift back to that box then...

"I guess Captain Rogers'n Tony ended shoved inta a portal'a their own." Her green gaze goes again to the Doctor. "They're not back yet. Carol helped me get back, or I'd probably be dead now. Not... sure about them..." She then just nods her head once and quietly adds... "People might need your help with this."

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen was bending over to pick up the second box and then he pauses and looks down past his waist towards Rogue and he stands up fully. The look of worry on his face is open and visible to anyone. He's not even hiding it this time. "Tony and Steve were both cast away by an alien woman... Did she mention the word infinity?" Stephen asks and then he takes a step closer to Rogue and a light appears on the tip of his finger as he aims it into her eyes and another suddenly gloved hand reaches up to her chin to shift her gaze slightly so he can look into her other eye... "Tell me more."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue doesn't shy away from him, she trusts the Doctor and she can tell this news has sent some kind of alarm off in him. So she stumbles with her words for a second to try to think of more. "Uh, um... she had a pulse rifle of some kind, I think is the right word... Said her name was Markonia? Somethin' like that. I didn't hear anything about any Infinity though. What does that mean? Sounds like a Cable company..."

Rogue's eyelashes are painted in black with matching eyeliner around them but she keeps her eyes open for him to look into. "If you can pull the memories outta my head or whatever, I dunno if ya got that power, you can see the night first hand yourself. You've done similar things in the past after all." She shows a hint of a grin then and there.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I can look at the memories in your head, but we both know how fallible those can be." Stephen says as he lowers his hands, the light fading and the glove unstitching and folding back up into the sleeve of his cashmere sweater. The wizard sighs. "At least you aren't on something or concussed, so there is some truth to your words." Stephen sighs sadly. "If it can help the two avengers, I might need to peek into your head, but until then... how did Carol get you back to Earth?"

Rogue has posed:
Those words from him make a smile ghost across her lips but they there-in twitch and it vanishes again. "Yeah thats me. Miss Substance Abuser." She jests back at him. "Gosh, you're so trustin', Doc." There's a light shake of her head then and she pulls her hands from her coat pockets then places them on her hips. "I doubt my memories from just two weeks ago are that convoluted. But, you're not entirely wrong so who knows." She has a smirk come and go then also.

With another sigh she looks away and turns to sit down on the edge of a chair. "Carol and I started flyin' around the planet, after we broke outta our cell we ended up inside'a in some cave..." Her right hand shoots up to pull her wool cap off of her head, then her left goes up to try to straighten her messy two toned hair.

"After that we just flew around until we spotted some kinda airport for space ships. We... conned... a ship outta some broken hearted alien man and well, flew our way home. Though it took longer than she thought it would cause his ship didn't have a very nice space jump... engine. Thing." Rogue doesn't know space ships well at all.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange doesn't know space ships well, he's more at home in other dimensions than other planets. "So you stole from a poor man..." Stephen says, leaning back and sitting on the other gilded prisons and crossing his arms at his chest. The man's older grey eyes linger on Rogue as she fidgets with her hair. "I couldn't imagine how terrifying you and Carol working together might be." He chides with a glance up from beneath his brows and a smirk flashes across his lips.

"Sounds like I should step in to save the soldier and the inventor, unless Tony's made a way for them to sail across the cosmic high ways with a pair of sticks and a fusion reactor..." Stephen says with a frown as he seems to get lost in thought.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue has to smirk at his comments about stealing and about she and Carol as a duo. "No!" She says back at him with a little decisive shake of her head. "He said he has fifteen wives and the ship belong t'one of'em who was unfaithful to him. So he was happy t'give it away t'me, because I reminded him'a one'a his 'good wives'. Which was both flatterin' and kinda creepy." She says then with a grin. "I got the sense he was a very wealthy... whatever he was. I mean the ship is a god damn -yacht- like ya wouldn't believe. Super fancy. Carol stowed itup at the Alpha Flight base."

She quickly draws in a breath and places her hands together on her lap, holding her wool hat rumpled up between them. Her shoulders raise and drop as she breathes like that too. "They might need your help. I assume they ended up in a cell like Carol'n I did, but we didn't see'em on the same planet as us. Not havin' her help probably puts them at a severe disadvantage too. But yeah... thats all I know."

She glances at the box then and motions to it with her hat holding right hand. "Whats this thing?" She asks. "You said you need my help with it?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Like I said." Stephen says, standing up and away from the pile of gold boxes. "They're prisons." The wizard explains matter of factly, as if that was an every day occurance. Stephen turns to look down at the stack of them and reaches down to pick one up with a brilliant purple gem at the top and there's a flickering within the gem, like some large loaping creature, big foot or Beast maybe inside, from what Rogue can tell.

"It's a way to secure some rather dangerous peoples and creatures within the dimensions and realms in order to protect our own while protecting them as well." Strange squints towards Rogue. "Help me stack them over there, but do not open them." Strange warns as he moves past Rogue towards where he placed the green gemed box. "What brings you to the Sanctum Anna Marie?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's eyes go to the box now and she leans in again to see the tiny beast inside of it. When she hears the explanation she exhales a little gasp as the realization of it all comes to her. "Wow." She quietly says. "I kinda feel sorry for'im." She then states. "But I mean, I trust ya t'say he definitely belongs in there. Just... seems like the kinda thing someone might put me inside'a t'put me in... prison."

Rogue stuffs her hat into her side pocket of her coat and stands up, she turns to gently pick the prison box up and looks to where he wants them stacked. As for why she's here she exhales again. "First one was that thing with Tony'n Cap as its obviously the biggest deal goin' on right now. Second... well... its, call it me askin' -you- for a birthday present."

She carries the box over to the others and starts to float up to the shelf where she sees has a opening fit just for this box's size. "I'm havin' a get t'gether at a bar, its my 21st birthday ya know." She glances back at him as she shoves the box back into its place. "I'm makin' it a, well its a crazy thing, gonna have a mud wrestlin' ring and I wanna be able t'grapple with people who want to pay money t'wrestle me, for charity. Gonna give all the proceeds t'a mutant charity. Already got people volunteering lots'a cash."

She drops back down to her feet with a nimble bounce in her step and turns again. "I need t'not suck the life force outta people, at least for one night."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"They don't know they're in a prison. It's a fully fleshed and thriving world much like their own on the inside." Stephen responds and then look up towards the ceiling and the mystical sigil in the window before he sighs once more and looks back to Rogue.

Stephen then lifts his eyebrow and leans against the specially desgined display case for the box-prisons. It's more like a shelf with slots for them all. "You want me to make you a spell so you can make out with people on your birthday... not more than just the one day?" Stephen asks with a lift of his eyebrow.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue gives another look up to the shelves with the prisons after he says that first part and it makes her dark lined eyes narrow a little for a second before she sweeps her gaze back to him. She scoffs. "Well hell. Maybe we're all in one'a those things already then ourselves? Thats kinda messed up t'think about it, huh?" there's a slow crawling grin to come across her smoky red hued lips before she just glances back to the prison boxes.

The Belle has to release a light laugh at what he says next and when she looks back at him she shrugs her shoulders. "Ain't nobody wanna kiss me right now, thats for sure and honestly, I'd ask ya for somethin' like that permanently if I thought it was somethin' ya could do. But I imagine it means I couldn't fly no more, nor stop bullets with my--" She glances down at herself and clears her throat then looks back up at him and just nods.

"Anyway. I just figure maybe one night was gonna end up being the best and baseline'a what ya could do. I didn't think you'd have some miracle solution t'solve that one damn problem I've been dealin' with since forever ago." It wasn't that long ago really, she's just young and to her it feels like forever ago.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Anna Marie... Rogue." Stephen says, calling her all names. "Miracles are the purview of the sorcerer supreme." Stephen says, setting his box into its cubbord and then he smirks. "But something I tried to teach you and I'm still trying to teach my fiancee: Magic always has a cost." The wizard notes with a look back to Rogue with his face showing that she might not like the price she or he would have to pay for Rogue to be able to touch people permenantly. "I can give you one night easily and carefree enough for you to be comfortable for sure. Beyond that and we're getting to more meaningful bills."

Rogue has posed:
Its definitely not all of her names. There's also Elizabeth, her middle name, named after her father's mother. There's also her last names in D'Ancanto and Carlyle. There's also 'Trouble' which is growing more prominently in use amongst her peers... and well, likely many others she's yet to divulge. But it works!

Rogue lightly grins at him and sways her shoulders back and forth for a moment. "I remember ya said that, many times. So yeah, the one night thing seemed more feasible than me comin' here askin' for anything more than that." She glances out to the foyer again and then back to him. "Where is your dearly betrothed at, anyhow? I need t'spend more time with her... less she can't stand me, some woment can't, ya know?" She slow grins again then.

"But yeah, my Birthday is on the 24th, if ya didn't know. I put the biddin' up on my social media pages for the highest bidders get t'have a shot at pinnin' me, and if I still got my strength'n such, it should just be a fun time. But yeah, I don't wanna put folks inta a coma if they're just tryin' cop'a'feel for one night while helpin' some kids out by donatin' money too." She shakes her head then. "It really isn't about makin' out with anyone. I'm not seein' anybody, and got nobody I'd even do that with."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I'm not judging either way Anna Marie, but I already said I'd help you. Now you must help me." Stephen says as he moves around to pick up another box and that's when Rogue might get an idea of how many there really are. At least 20 or so golden boxes with all different colored gems. "The faster I get this chore done, the faster we can go rescue the avengers, and the faster I can get to sourcing out the required pieces for your spell. As there's MULTIPLE ways to solve your issue, and I figure you want it a certain way but will be polite enough to accept whatever I come up with if left to my own devices." Stephen winks playfully before he looks down at the watch on his wrist that isn't there. "Felicia, I assume she's out at work."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's eyes drift back over her left shoulder at all the other boxes that are stacked up and she winces at them all. "Holy hello." She starts to turn them to waltz over to them. "Ya gotta a lotta bad folks around here...." She states then as she starts to try to peer inside of them." When he hands her another one though she leans straight again and takes it, then turns to go put it back. "I'll trust in whatever ya think is based. If its like... some kinda object that I just keep within, I dunno, fifty yards that I have t'smash when I'm done, or... whatever. I'm all good for it." She floats up to put the next away.

Her eyes then look back over at him. "Ya wanna go get some food after this? My treat?" She asks while hovering up in the air in front of the storage spaces for these imprisoned baddies that they're filing away.
