Wonder Woman has posed:
Being that the Avengers Mansion and the Themysciran Embassy are not that far apart from one another on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, its not that difficult for Diana to meet up with any of the Avengers for a nice casual night out on the town... thought admittedly none of them have ever asked for such a thing, except Thor.

Ant-Man asked for her telephone number once, but never called her even after she'd given it to him.

Now though, the God of Thunder and the 'God Killer of Themyscira' are out at a nice eatery set between both of their home bases here in the city.

Set at a table in the center of the lovely restaurant, Diana wears a black leather jacket over a royal blue top and a pair of black slacks and black leather shoes. Her jacket is handed off at the door to an employee while another takes her to the table.

Diana's eyes roam the establishment for a moment on the walk to the table.

Thor has posed:
Thor likes spending time with her. For all that she has the title of 'god killer', he's seen enough of Diana to know that causing her to live up to that name takes a whole lot of evil being done, and he hasn't been guilty of that since, well...the worst he's ever done is get arrogant when he was younger. And even then, Odin took care of it long before anyone else had to step in.

He'd switched to mortal looking clothes...and once again, it's clear Tony must've bought all his non Asgardian clothes for him, because they fit flawlessly, as if they were tailored, and are made out of more expensive material than Thor cares about. Still, the effect looks good on him, with a red jacket, a black shirt with accents of silver, and black pants as well. His shoes are black with red accents. He too hands his jacket off to an employee as they find a table.

"It's great to see you again. Things have been busy with Avengers and the League both, but I still felt it important to keep up." In the world they live in, things are always going to be busy. Dull moments, not so much a thing on Midgard.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Once they settle into a table, Diana thanks the employee who escorted them both to it and then she sweeps her gaze across the table to the Asgardian King across from her. A smile - as ever present for this woman - appears upon her red hued lips and she nods her head once to him. "Communication between our teams is something that I have strove to better foster for a very long time. Sadly it has been... challenging, to say the very least." When their menus are delivered to them, Diana takes a moment before perusing hers.

"I heard about what happened on New Years Eve at Tony's gala." She states then with concern ebbing into the flow of her voice. "He has not yet returned, has he?" She asks then. "With Captain Rogers as well, and the others who I heard also vanished?"

"The Justice League, and myself, continue to offer aid should there be anything we can do to help find them, of course."

Thor has posed:
"I mean to organize a rescue mission tommorrow. If that works for you, you're welcome to come. Heimdall's been searching for them, or at least traces of them. Once we've got a possible location, the team will travel there with the Bifrost, and we'll see what happens. Captain Marvel and Rogue returned...and they returned from a long space journey away. So wherever they are, it's not on earth. It's kind of a pity the Green Lanterns of Earth are missing, we could've asked the Corp to sweep their sectors." Granted, Green Lanterns don't usually get missing person requests, but there's a first time for everything.

"Still, even for Heimdall's eyes, it's a needle in a cosmically big haystack. We think we have a lead, though, given where the other two ended up."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana gently nods her head to what Thor says. "Oh." She starts when she hears that Carol and Rogue had been returned to hear. She didn't know who Rogue was, but she's good friends with Carol. "I will have to find Carol and speak with her soon as well too, though I am sure she is busy at the present time." There's a faint pause then and Diana lets her food menu rest across the edge of the table then.

She keeps her eyes on Thor then and again gives a little affirmative nod with her chin. "I would be happy to assist whenever it is required of me. Simply reach out to me and I will be there as quickly as I am capable of being." She shows a small smile then again before her eyes glance down to the menu, but hesitate and look back up to him across from her.

"What else is happening for you?" She asks then. "Asgard and its people are in good standing, I hope?"

Thor has posed:
Eventually, a waiter does show up, and Thor orders meatballs, sausauge, soup, and bread. This should be good, and rather filling. The feasts of Midgard are different, but no less delicious for all that. He'll have to wait on that, though. "Yes, Asgard is well at the moment...Loki has actually done well, and is currently focusing his efforts on making Asgard better. Amazing what all that cleverness can do when he uses it for productive ends. So many things are more efficient now than they were when Odin was in charge. Some called him god of mischief or lies in the past...but the truth of it may well be god of stories. And the story he's penning now is improving everyone's lives. Lady Sif has been training warriors, as usual."

"How are things with you? Has the league recovered from the incident?" He wants to ask after Batman directly, but the Warrior of Bats values secrecy, if he reads it right.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana places an order for a simple meal, nothing overly special or exciting and no where near the portion sizes that Thor ordered either. After the waiter leaves and Thor speaks of Asgard, and his closest friends and family she folds her hands together on her lap and sits straight in her seat with a smile upon her red lips. "I am very glad to hear things are going smoothly and seem settled. I have said it before, that I wish I had been able to -help- Loki in his efforts, rather than be fought against in them, but... the end results seems to be onward and good, if not outright great. I... still need to meet with this Lady Sif someday as well, I have a sneaking suspicion that she and I might enjoy one another's company." There's a hint of a grin on her sculpted features as her eyes glance down for a moment when he asks of the Justice League.

"I... intend to delve into the statue of the League as a whole a little more deeply soon." She then says in what could easily be described as 'vague' at best. Her stare goes back up then across to Thor. "I have been focusing my efforts in Gotham of late." She tells him then. "There was a terrible conflict there recently. a horrible attack upon the city that left many injured and... deceased. The attack seemed to be also aimed at the hope of ending me as well, no less. But..." Diana exhales. "Batman and I are handling it, as well as all of his fine associates."

Thor has posed:
"Well...I can probably see to it such a meeting is arranged. I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see your lady mother adopt her on the spot if she were given the chance. She would fit in well to your home." Not that Thor would be willing to give up his old friend, and his brother sure as hell wouldn't give her up. "It is a long journey from one side of the line to the other. Redemption was never a quick road for those who survive and have to earn it. Still...a journey of 1000 miles...or perhaps 1000 years in this case...begins with a single step." If nothing else, Loki has time, and who he was and who he is can be different things, given enough of it.

"Oh, then he has recovered. I was wondering about that, but I didn't want to just ask you outright. He values his secrecy, if I can guess anything by the way he chooses to do battle." Someone tried to end Diana herself though? That gets Thor a little angry...though since she is clearly fine, "I trust the one responsible is...imprisoned?" This is Midgard, death tends to be a lot less common. "Did you have to use any special healing, or did Batman recover on his own?"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana has to laugh at the thought of Lady Sif becoming an Amazonian Warrior and a citizen of Themyscira. "If what I have heard of her is true, then you are likely right that she has a home away from home awaiting her, should she ever desire toward it." She shows a playful grin then for a moment before she glances away when she sees an older couple recognizing them both from across the room. She offers them both a pleasant smile and a light wave with her right hand before she looks back to Thor.

"Batman took care of himself, as Batman does." She tells him in response. "But I have been offering my aid to him and the people of Gotham, since it is just across the river it is not that hard to extend my usual responsibility ranges. He has a good team of associates and companions with him these days... though they are mostly a little young and inexperienced, but they are training hard and learning quickly, so the hopes are high that they will yet remain safe amongst all the chaos that yet still grows around them."

"Some of the individuals responsible for attack have been taken into custody, yes. Though I fear not all of them..." There's a gentle head shake then from the Princess and she draws in a breath before continuing and summoning a smile for the King across from her. "One day at a time though, yes?"

Thor has posed:
Thor also offers a wave. At least it's an elderly couple and not reporters looking for something to report. He's run into those before too. It's nice to see the people of Midgard cheered by the presence of such as himself and the princess. "That'll be up to her, of course. But I do not believe she'd want to be away from her beloved too long." His tone of voice implies said beloved is NOT him, but someone else.

"Gotham is a place I have not visited as often as perhaps I should. I have wanted to meet the warrior who keeps a city full of so much distress in one piece. It does not appear to be a task easily done, as it would seem to require a great deal of finesse." Finesse Thor himself wouldn't ever really have. He was a forthright warrior most at home on open battlefields. Such intrigue would not suit him as well.

"Well...even in the days of my father and grandfather, evil still existed. It will never really go away. It is up to us to fight it, every single day, that those who do not fight may feel safe and live on." So he figures there'll always be another ne'er do well looking to harm that city and every other. Gotham just seems to have an unusually high quota.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana just smiles lightly about the comment of Sif and her beloved, whomever that might be. At the bit about Batman she agrees with another simple nod as well, but her eyes drop and then linger downward as she shakes her head side to side before raising them up again. "You and I are trained... warriors, as is the Batman, but he is going about his duty to his city completely different from how we likely would in the same situation. For instance... you and I have killed, we do kill, we are good at it. We kill those who offer us no choice, yes, but we still will end them if they do not yield to our demands to cease their hostilities in the name of preserving the safety of any innocents who may find themselves in path of harm that our enemies create... but Batman?"

Diana just slowly shakes her head then. "Killing is not an option for him, and that there-by sets him apart from most warriors. It also makes his challenges much more imposing, daunting, because he often ends up dealing with the same madness again and again." She releases a light sigh and then smiles to Thor.

"I am not sure you and I could deal with that quite the same as he does. But... who's to say."

She smiles again then when their food arrives and she looks to the waiter who settles their orders in upon the table.

Thor has posed:
Thor shakes his head. "Only one opponent have I had that I have treated with such mercy...and while it paid off recently, it is not a consideration I would wish to give every foe. Still, the Avengers do try to avoid needless loss of life, and we train specifically to avoid casualties where possible. It's interesting...I invited Power Girl in to spar, and she found it odd that we had a 'anti collateral damage' training program. Are not such things common up on the Watchtower?"

Thor thinks long on the concept of sparing every foe. "Batman wasn't the only one who never took a life. Superman was much the same way. No matter what anyone did, or what they were accused of doing, he always took them in to stand trial...when he was in his right mind, at least. Perhaps they believe, above all else, that there is a glimmer of hope inside every wrong doer, and that all of them can turn their lives around eventually. I do not belive that to be the case. Even in history, there are souls too blackened to save."

"It must be difficult for you, at times, to work with him. While you are in his city, he probably insists you fight as he does, and that...could leave you vulnerable if you find yourself checking a swing at the wrong time." Not that there's a whole hell of a lot that Diana is especially vulnerable to, but on general principle...

Ah, there's the feast. "Truly, a feast of Midgard. Always enjoyable." Good thing he's got that metabolism.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana looks more than a little confused when Thor indicates that Poewr Girl doesn't even consider collateral damage an issue. "We certainly do train to avoid such things as damaging needlessly, especially in the city such as this." She responds, glancing toward the front of the restaurant. "We, in fact, are training our combatants to take enemies out to sea if at all possible, to the south beyond the Statue of Liberty. But... not all enemies wish to pursue, some are... challenging to contain, as you know."

As for fighting in Gotham, Diana shows a small smirk then. "I do not even ask what I should fight like when helping the people of Gotham. My role there is to save innocents and, yes, limit destruction... as much as possible."

She shows a light grin at his description of their feast before them and she agrees with a nod. "This is one of the finer dining venues for this type of food in the city. I am always happy to come here."
