Takin A Trip

Location:	Rec Room - Xavier's School
Synopsis:	Laura is planned on leaving the school for a while and seeks a faculty member to tell. X-Men are next!

X-23 has posed:
It's been a couple of days but it is time. Laura had come to a decision and she needed to talk to someone about it. Unfortunately, Jean was tied up. She would've tried that. So she found herself wandering into the rec room in the afternoon, classes already out for the day.

She was dressed casually in jeans, old trainers, a black tank top with a plaid shirt pulled over it. She stuck her head in the door to see who was present, or so it looked. She could already tell by smell who was there.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrieis sitting in the Rec room, having just finished working on some paperwork it seems. He has closed a book, and is putting it back into a book bag. He does stand to walk over to the mini bar. When he sees X-23 he will offer a nod in greeting "Hey there."

X-23 has posed:
"Hey, Mr. Guthrie. Glad I found you. Was hoping to find a teacher." While Sam is more a specialist than a specific teacher in her mind, with his group of students that went by the New Mutants. Sort of an homage to the group he had been part of when he'd been a student here.

At one time, she'd even been a part of them. Until her path moved her elsewhere. But after some talking with Jean, her direction had changed.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "Wel I at least play one on TV." He smiles and says "Joking, but Ah will try to help, Whats up?" He will move to get a drink "Want something ?" He motions towards the mini fridge.

X-23 has posed:
"Water." Laura says. Then she remembers her lessons. "Please." See?! She learned something.

She moved over to one of the seats, sprawling there comfortably even as she watched him moving around behind the bar. "I was talking to Logan the other day at Harry's. We came to an agreement." Not spoke to her father and they had a nice chat. It is more business like in the way she expresses it. "He suggested a trip to learn more about his past. I agreed. So I'm going to be leaving the school for a bit."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 's brow will raise a bit to this. He will get her water, walking over offering it to her, and sits opposite her, and opens his own taking a sip, and seems to be thinking "Well first thing Ah will ask are you going alone or taking someone with you?"

X-23 has posed:
She accepts the water with a brief nod of her head. No thank you. She'll get there. Someday.

A twist of the top breaks the seal and Laura takes a sip of the water before drinking. "With someone. Logan is going with me. He wants to show me some cabin or something." She shrugs a little. "Figure it is a step past us tiptoeing around or pretending the other doesn't exist."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Thats a good thing, good for you two to get to know one another, your family and family should know one another. " He sips his drink again, and says "Your capable of doing most anything you set your mind to, so am sure it will go well. You got a few numbers of people here memorized?

X-23 has posed:
"All of them." It's automatic. A lot of people don't realize her training was more than just being a weapon. "I remember them when I see them. So all the numbers in my phone." She does have a few people who would keep in touch though she was awful about responding back. She'd just read what they said and, if it didn't need an answer, wouldn't bother doing so. Made for a weird friendship with her needless to say.

"I mean, the people who have given them to me at least." She pulls out her phone from a pocket as though that shows it, though the screen isn't even open.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will offer his as well to her "Having a few is a good thing in case your needing help and can't get the mansion or someone specific. Ah know between you and Logan more apt others will need help, but better safe than sorry. I will ask, expecting not, but do you have an idea how long you will be out and about.

X-23 has posed:
As expected, Laura shakes her head negatively. "No idea at all. Maybe a few days, maybe a few months. All depends. We might not even stick together after the first leg of it." She shrugs again, tucking her phone away after she capture's Sam's phone number. "He gave me a motorcycle."

Weird statement but it does mean she has a mode of transportation if she does part ways, other than hoofing it.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Well will ask know how to drive one right?" He asks her. He seems to be thinking a moment, and says "We are here even if you just need advice or someone to talk about something, we will help anyway we can.

X-23 has posed:
"He thought this might help me understand him more. And maybe me in the process," Laura explains, head tilted a bit as though she's trying to figure that one out for herself. "It made sense. Sort of. Besides, I need to get out of here a while. After that incident a while back, I don't want to chance the Facility sending someone here again. It's only a matter of time."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Well you know we will face them with you, but Ah can understand the need to know yourself, even for just your average person about your age. Ah think it is a good thing for you and also that Logan will keep ya safe, well as safe as ya need to be kept.

X-23 has posed:
That gets a snort from Laura and a bit of a smirk. "More I'll keep him safe. He's old. Moves slower." She takes a sip of her water again then jerks her head to the right, sort of indicating the building they are in. "How goes the team of kids?" As though she isn't a kid. She's just...different.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "They are doing pretty good, I think they are learning pretty well. I have high hopes for them, I want to get to work a bit more with Gwyen, I expect they all have potential. Just a bit different for some of them than what I am used to."

X-23 has posed:
Laura nods vaguely. "A lot of different powers and personalities. They seem more individuals and less a team than the stories I have heard about your days." Another shrug and sip of water. "Not that it's bad. Just different."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "A lot more for them to be able to do and go about, we were sorta forced to get to know one another, between things that happened or not being many we could talk about things with,

X-23 has posed:
"I suppose. School was smaller then too. Less people, different direction I think? That also makes it harder for the group to be the same sort of dynamic. I know even the X-Men are different than they once were," Laura says. "Speaking of, I need to let them know I'm going to be heading off too."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head and says "I will pass the word along as well, but best if ya let some of them know, so that if they are looking for ya not wondering where ya went." He offers her a smile.

X-23 has posed:
"Yeah, I should do that officially. I'll go see if I can find Mr. Summers." Laura even erred on the teacher name though, for her, she wanted to use his codename. Scott just seemed strange to call him for some reason. She rose to her feet, taking the bottle of water with her. "Thanks, Mr. Guthrie."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie offers a smile and says "No problem Laura, and you can call me Sam." He does make the effort knowing it might not take.
