Cast of Characters: Harley Quinn, Rift

Harley Quinn has posed:
Clinton, or as it's more affectionately known, Hell's Kitchen is notorious for the kind of trouble that one might run into. Thugs, robbers, burglars, gangs, magic ninjas, you name it, and it can probably hurt you. It's precisely why the place holds such an allure to a certain tourist, one Harley Quinn, decided to visit. She strikes quite an unorthodox look herself, so perhaps that's why she's left largely alone as she walks down a dark street by Fogwell's Gym, twirling a colorfully decorated baseball bat and challenging out, "yooo hooo! Mr. Rapey Thug and Killer Gang, lookit here! One poor wittle woman all on her own, you wanna play...?" She surely is trying her luck.

Rift has posed:
Over the sky, a glowing-red figure idly drifts. She finally settles down, having got tothe gym. She was hoping to check it out - it is in a bad part of town but has excellent reviews. She lands on the side of the upper floors of the building and slowly strolls down the side. Most people don't look up and wouldn't see hte odd sight.

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley absolutely isn't looking up, this isn't Gotham and a visit from the B-man isn't likely. She just keeps twirling her bat, whistling a happy tune to herself, and with a skip in her step, continues to occasional invite bad guys of varying sorts to have their chance.

Finally, one dares take her challenge, as a hand reaches out towards Harley's, but before it can ever grab her, Harley twirls and delivers a perfect swing that absolutely knocks out the...homeless begger that decided to ask for money from the worst person possible.

"It's a homerun!" Harley cheers, raising her bat high towards the sky, "any other takers?"

Rift has posed:
Rift just stares as she keeps her distance. Wow. This woman is 'baiting' thugs and kicking their butts? She decides to float to the side and fall rapidly, catching herself at the last minute and landing on the ground, right-side-up for once. She just watches from around a corner.

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley does prove to have better than average perception, when she continues on her little prowl for just a few more moments before coming to a stop. Without turning her head, she points her bat in the direction of the sneaky Rift, and calls out, "are you a B-man, Bratgirl, Birdbrain or otherwise?" She laughs at her own unlikely guess, "of course not, because rodents stay in Gotham, so who are you? A Revenger maybe? Ooooh, maybe one of those terrorists, the Axe-Men?"

Rift has posed:
Oh. Right. Of course. Rift's glow would be visible in the dark alley. She steps out into full view, glowing. It's kinda eerie - the glow is inside her arms and legs, with a cluster in her chest and one in her head and glowing eyes. BUt obviously the form of a young adult woman. "I'm none of hte above. I was just going to check out this gym. It's supposed to have really good reviews." She then tilts her head. "You're not planning on using that on me, are you? I have no animosity towards you. I try not to attack those I don't even know."

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley turns to look at Rift with mild curiosity as she pulses with a glow about her body, blowing up a bubble with chewing gum, before gathering it back in her mouth and asking, "so yer Battery Girl? Raver Girl? Oh! I know! Yer the Mystic Neon, am I right?" She asks before chewing more notably on her gum.

"Really...?" Harley asks, preplexed, before turning to look at the Gym and almost seeming surprised to find it there, as if she hadn't noticed so far. "Whaddaya know...there is a Gym, huh. Is it a membership scam, or can you one off?" She suddenly takes more interest in the gym, before recalling Rift's question.

"Oh, I'm not gonna hit ya if ya ain't here ta play."

Rift has posed:
Rift shrugs. "You can call me Rift. I don't know why I glow. But I can show you my main trick." She smiles as she raises a hand. You start to glow faintly too - as you float up in the air a foot and hover there in zero-gravity. Then she puts you down. "I can control gravity." She grins. "It's... surprisingly useful." She smiles softly.

Harley Quinn has posed:
Harley blinks as she's captured in the floaty-glowy-majig, her eyes shifty shift up, down and sideways. "So...you're a stage magician?" Harley asks, as she can't spot any wires. "No offense, but I totally didn't feel like volunteering, and," she looks about, leaning down on her bat, "there isn't any audience." That seems to spark inspiration, as she follows up with the quesiton, "if Jesus walks on the water, but nobody is there to see it, does it still count as a miracle?"

Rift has posed:
Rift blinks. "I don't know. I'm not a theological..." She then frowns. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to upset you." She shrugs. "I just thought a demonstration was in order. I'm not a magician. I'm a mutant." She then hesitates, getting ready to quickly escape if it goes violent. "I just can control gravity. It's... complicated."

Harley Quinn has posed:
"Neither am I!" Harley cheerfully asserts, grinning widely at Rift, "we finally have something in common!" Harley shrugs as Rift and taps on the ground a few times when she's put down, making sure it's stable, "well, I'd say don't reveal your cards, you might find yourself a card short of a full deck! HA!" The laughter had to have been fake, unless it was a very spontaneous outburst on cue.

Rift has posed:
Rift just stares at you. "Ummmmm.... right... a card short..." she mutters, blinkblinking. Who is this madwoman? Anyway. "So... ummmmm.... I'm Rift," she states, cautiously approaching to extend her hand.

Harley Quinn has posed:
"You have to check your memory, not quite, but close!" Harley offers Rift a tap on the shoulder at the valiant effort. "Harley's my name, and...I'll have to think about what's my game...see it changes often!"
