Fiona's Follies I
Date of Scene: 22 January 2020
Location: Jamaica, Queens
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Remo Williams, Fiona Glenanne

Remo Williams has posed:
His name was Remo and he was looking for a dangerous arms dealer.
He'd received orders from Smith to look for an arms dealer that was currently in the area, to make contact and engender a professional relationship. It might prove useful to have someone more knowledgeable about the hero and villain factions in New York, although Remo wouldn't be interested in buying anything that went bang-bang or boom-boom.
As he walked along, he kept his pace even and casual. He knew someone like her would be immediately suspicious, so he knew he had to be careful. His cover identity was as solid as it could be, in case she wanted to have him checked out.
So armed, he moved casually, but his eyes picked out everything.

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fi's lazing around at an outdoor cafe. She's sat where she can keep an eye on things, and she's got a sandwich and coffee at her table. Blending in, good idea but...but...she's got an escape route and a 9mm pistol at her hip, hidden under her winter jacket. Fiona's looking casual and relaxed. She's not just an arms dealer, far from it. She's got her ring on, and she's just enjoying the city.

So why's hse out here? Well, because she's on vacation and relaxing.

Alright. 'Vacation', with air quotes. Taking a sip of coffee, Fiona adds creamer and sips her coffee again. Much better.

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo spotted her almost immediately. She certainly didn't look the part; no extra guys watching over her, but he suspected that she was plenty dangerous enough without them. He didn't waste time trying to look like he saw her there "by accident" and walked over to her table...but not too quickly.
"Excuse me, miss...got a few minutes to talk?"

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fiona glances up from her coffee, looking...genuinely puzzled. "Um. Who are you, and what do you want?" she asks. There's a tone to her voice that's a little irritated and confused. Why would anyone look for her here? Okay, weird.

Fiona though is on guard. Every movement's subtle and deliberate. "So what's this about? I don't have the time or any money to give you" she offers, watching everything going on carefully. She shakes her head and gestures to her coffee. "I'm in the middle of eating and drinking my coffee. You want to talk, take a seat across the table"

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo Williams sat down across from here. "I'm here to talk business, Miss. I'm here to offer YOU money, and I hope a continued professional relationship." He put an envelope on the table. "Ten thousand. Cash. All to listen to my proposal."

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
That's got Fi's attention. Still she's playing dumb. "The ten grand? Okay, ten grand in an envelope. Okay, see, she'son alert now given that's not normal in the least. Just sitting down and talking business. Fiona looks over the table, drumming her fingers on it while she looks, raising her eyebrow. "What business?" she asks.

Yeah. What business. Fiona tilts her head for a moment, "You want any coffee or sandwiches if you want to talk business....whatever that business is"

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo Williams says, "No thanks. I already ate. I'm looking for information. And it's information about supers, solo operators as well as factions. I need to operate in this area, and I'd rather not step on any toes...and I don't want to rely on Wikipedia for my information. I know who you are, and I know what you do. But I'm not looking to buy or sell weapons...so you don't have to worry about entrapment. But I know what it takes to operate your business, and you need capital that doesn't need laundering. Petty cash." Remo smiled. "Liquid assets."

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fiona raises her other eyebrow. "So. You know who I am. And you want information, yes?" she asks. "First off. Who are you? Second off, why mee? There's plenty of other sources in the city for info. Like...I dunno, walk around, take notes, I don't know jack about most supers in the city. Gotham's where I hang out. I'm here because I'm on vacation, so..." she shrugs, "I can tell you about Batman, but I honestly have no idea who is in the Big Apple. Some turtles, I think and...that's all I know. I don't have much to do with supers. Try asking around" Fi offers. She's truly not up to speed with NYC things. Still. Fiona's more up to speed with Birds things, which...again. Not NYC.

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo Williams nodded. "Well, I'm not just looking for basic information. This place, Gotham, and this 'Batman' guy. Sounds to me like a chance to keep tabs on other locations as well, not just New York, so if I find myself working in Gotham..." He smiled. "And my name's Remo. Remo Carver."

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fiona looks over the table again making a note. "Remo. Like the town in Italy? Okay. So. What do you need to know?" she muses. It could be anything, really. Anything this guy wants to know. And he gave her ten grand in an envelope on the table. So...she's listening. Hey, he said he wanted information on supers. Not any specifics so...or at least not that that exact moment. Fi nods and settles back listening.

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo Williams put a thumbdrive on the table in front of her. "Now, I'm sure you've got files on these people, and this might not be the best place to discuss such matters. Everything you know about the people in Gotham, heroes, villains, movers, shakers...I get that information, there's another twenty K in it for you, cash on delivery. Plus, additional payment if you keep me up to speed on any new developments. If you agree, the drive will have all the information to need to use a dead drop to send me the info, and an account with a card you can use to draw the info. Untraceable." He smiled and leaned back slightly. "We have a deal?

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fi looks tempted really. Really, really tempted. "So you offer me 30k for info? What" she asks, leaning forward in her chair. "Is the catch?" she adds, eyes guarded as Fiona speaks. "This sounds too easy. I'm cynical, so. What exactly is the catch then, just...give you information. Then" she says. "Get money? Hm...I'll humor you. I'll do it" Fi says simply, nodding. "It'll take a while to get the info together"

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo Williams nodded. "I'd rather have it right than have it fast. Besides...I'm not looking just for information on Capes. Think of it as investing in a contact.

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
"Think of it" Fi says, tapping the table with a finger, "Of investing in a contact too. I'll scratch your back. You scratch mine. You hear me?" she asks, hinting at a two way business opportunity. Mostly since Fiona can see the benefits of this. Her contacts have checked on Remo, too. Sure, she's not Sam Axe level of contacts. But, Fi's trusting Remo. Because the guys in 'the know' said he's okay. Good enough for Fi. Good enough for her to trust after all.

Remo Williams has posed:
He looked at her carefully. "Well, seeing as I'm paying you for the information I'M getting, what do you want...and what are you offering for it?"

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fi has a slight smile on her lips. "You to help if I need it. I trust you know who I work for, my team, yes?" she muses. "Then you'll know how I would request help" she says with a nod. Fi leaves it at that. Offer's made

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo Williams considered. "I've heard about your team...alright, I'll help if I can, but you still haven't told me what you're offering...unless you wish to change our deal, so that you offer your information for my help when you want it..."

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fiona shrugs, "No not changing the deal. Rather" she says with a sigh. "More making it a two way street. See. You're useful. So" Fiona offers. "I'm willing to help you and give information if you do the same for me?"

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo Williams considers pointing out that helping her and giving her money for just getting information seemed a little one-sided, but he figured that this might open other opportunities with her contacts. And having a support team of like hers might provide additional dividends. Easier to give her the impression that he needed her more than she needed him, giving her an implied advantage in her negotiating. "Very well, I accept your terms." He stood up, leaving the thumbdrive behind. "But before I go, let me offer some advice. I'm not the kind of guy you send out to get the morning paper, so you should know what kind of help I offer."

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fi glances up with a wicked grin. "Sam gets the morning paper. Mike reads it and figures out who needs help. In other words. It's serious help. I expect the same couretsy" she says sipping her now cold coffee again.

Remo Williams has posed:
"In that case, I'll leave you to enjoy the rest of your stay here, on my dime." He smiled as he stood up. "Take care, Miss." He pushed in his chair and left. There was something odd about the way he was walking away, until she saw him take two steps on some wet sand left behind by a construction crew.

Without leaving footprints.
