City Fall: Under the Foot
Date of Scene: 23 January 2020
Location: Flatbush, Brooklyn
Synopsis: A couple Foot goons try to further the Foot protection racket, but end up shot, cut, tied and locked up.
Cast of Characters: June Connor, Karrin Murphy, Red, Nemean, Carlo Paccioretti
Tinyplot: City Fall

June Connor has posed:
The morning air is a crisp taste of winter. Not as cold as it could be, and the shining sun helps fight back the bite of the cold. Open crime has been lower lately, since the Foot Clan threw a bunch of crime bosses off buildings in the middle of Midtown. Pressure has come down from higher ups to not mess with the Foot, though...technically they are still to arrest offenders. It's not quite a consistent doctrine. Some cops go along with it, and of course others don't. What is known is that the Foot has declared war on any and all other criminal organizations that don't submit to their rule. How exactly that was accomplished is a little vague, given that many criminals would not be keen on going along with an authority over them.
The Foot has been able to make good on their promise for the most part, but as Christmas has become a memory, a new feature arises. A tax. It's not been a big deal, not until now. Shops are being asked to support the Foot's defense. Protection money. Of course, those who have declined find themselves on the 'ok to rob' list within the city.

It's on this morning that June walks, a coat that seems a little out of place for her attire. Her striped red and black hair hands over her face, a nice North Face coat hugging her thin frame. Her shoulders are hunched up as she walks, teeth set on edge from the cold. She doesn't like cold.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Ah...politics. Karrin's a scrapper with her politics and such, she's doing 'the right thing'. Currently that's in a nice, warm car listening out for anything. Her bosses at SPECTRE told the supernatural cops to patrol like their more human counterparts. Karrin had argued that wasted time. But she got overruled.
Sheo here she is, driving around Brooklyn because she got told to get out there and make the streets safe from supernatural crime. She (grudgingly) is doing so, and is blending into traffic...as much as a marked up NYPD patrol car can. Because that's what she got given. They wanna make a statement. Can't put a uniform in an undercover car, really...so such is life. Parking up at the side of the street, Karrin's jotting down notes. It's more an angry monologue of how BS this whole thing is

Red has posed:
That little costume shop Alice is working at never seemed to prosper really, and Alice herself didn't even knew is that 'tax' was paid or not. What she knew was, that she was to refer any people asking for money to come back the times the owner worked. Probably because he might either pay or have a message for them, but Alice didn't know. What they knew was, that the sales of products on the books and the rentals were in some disparity, partly because any costume she made direct for order didn't end in the books or the register. Girl got to live after all.

Moving to the shop in the crisp morning air, she glanced a short look towards the cop car, grumbling as she remembered last year. Where were they when Mutanttown was the target of Sentinels?!

June Connor has posed:
It was actually the shop that June was heading toward, though between the facial piercings, the dark eye shadow, and a generally unpleasant looking facial expression, she has a less than cordial appearance. She looks like she belongs in a screamo band.
"Hey," she says, "You run this place? You do like, costumes and shit?" she asks, keeping her hands in her pockets to protect them from the cold.

Crossing the street in the midst of a slow moving line of cars, a group known to Brooklyn, though more commonly found in Manhattan, crosses the street directly in front of Karrin, one of them slapping the hood in a minorly taunting fashion as if he believes he can get away with it. Four of them. The Black Blades. They have been less intimidated by the police since the Foot's stunt, meaning it's fairly safe to assume they are part of the Foot's collaborators. They, as well, are heading toward the shop.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin's got a dashcam and a P90 stashed where she can get it easily. Admittedly. Murphy's a good shot, but four on one? Yeah not good odds. Instead she's pretending like she didn't see it. Not worth getting into a fight over. Especially when she's the only cop car on the street. She sighs, and calls it in anyhow. Politics. Report any suspicious activity. Arrest them. Great. Thank you, City Hall.

Getting out of her car, Karrin's staying behind the door, "Hey" she calls, "Can I talk to you guys for a minute?" she asks. Pleasant enough, really. She's not appreciating getting the extra handprints on her car. Somebody's gonna clean that offf and not go home early. Great.

Standing there, Karrin looks small, but fierce. She's SPECTRE after all. P90 within reach? Check. Aikedo? Check. Wizard friends and SO? Check. Oh yeah, about that...

She's totally dating Harry frigging Dresden. If anything happens to her, she'll tell Harry. Then hide.

Mostly since it'd be fun to watch Harry's anger at his woman being hurt.

Red has posed:
"Nah, I only work there. Like cashier and workshop. Nothing with the sewing though." Alice tells as she reaches for her key to unlock the door, looking over her shoulder a moment, spotting the goons talked to by the cop - maybe she was somewhat useful after all - then looking back at the punk. "Why are you asking? Need a costume or cosplay or something? I'm about to open up, so I could help."

June Connor has posed:
June shrugs, looking a little uncomfortable. "Somethin' like that," she says. "Gotta...I dunno, get a look?" she says with no small amount of ambiguity. "I don't wanna look like one of those weirdos that dress up like anime or that shit. Not my kinda kink. Just something that might look like uh..." she pauses. "Like badass, y'know? And keep people from knowin' it's me." She seems to be beating around the bush at asking for a vigilante costume. "Never really asked about this stuff before, so I uh..." she follows Alice's gaze, spotting the gang.

A large black man, part of the group, waves his hands out to show his wingspan, "Hey babe," he says back to Karrin.
The one who slapped the car, a scraggly white guy with too much facial hair and not enough on his hair pipes up, assuming her dissent. "I just was givin' it a love tap," he says as they reach the sidewalk.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin listens, "Okay, well don't" she says simply. She's on edge, watching the gang. Being a lifelong cop, she's not liking this much. Four gang folks. One of her. Great odds. P90 evens the odds. Fifty bullets. 12.5 bullets per goon.

Karrin thoughisn't looking for a fight. At least. Not....yet.
"Go on. Get moving" Karrin says firmly. She takes a step towards the front of her car. She steps closer to the front of her car, still keeping her P90 in arm's reach.

Red has posed:
Alice says, "Just stay away from Vigilantism. That's illegal after all." Alice notes as she works to unlock the second lock of three, watching to the glass mirroring the scene on the other side of the street more in passerby. "Want to go to some convention or something? I could make some sketches in a few minutes."

Turning the head to June, Alice is about to push the door open, when she spots the two men that had crossed the street and were still closing in on the shop. "Eh, those your friends?" she asks, nodding towards the two behind the punk."

June Connor has posed:
"Nah, it's for a movie, college film," June contests with a completely straight face. "Nah, don't know'm," she answers, though she seems a bit uncomfortable about the presence.

"Aye okay-o," the tall man says, slapping the offender on the shoulder backhandedly and casually. "Knives, don't be hittin' her ride, man, she gotta wax that shit," he scolds.
The scraggly guy laughs, "Hey, gotta give cops somethin' to do, man, just my civic duty," he laughs, and gives a wave, "Sorry officer!" he grants in a less than sincere tone. A third man, Japanese decent, give a light punch at the tall man's ribs, "C'mon man, don't hassle her," he says, "We got stuff to do, right?" There is a general nod of assent, and they all as one pile toward the little shop.

"Hey hey," the tall one says, "I gotta get a nice little somethin' made for Knives girl here," he takes the liberty, as do the rest, of crowding around the door. "You guys open now, right?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin sighs. Not her job to wax the car. Nope. She watches the group as she shakes her head, staying put. If they really are out shopping, not her job to harrass them, but she's watching them closely.

Calling it in, Karrin listens and waits. If they're gonna do anything...

Once that's done, she heads for the store herself. Karrin may as well do some shopping while she's here, then. Because, why not? And she can help the poor shop people with these four customers, too. She's got her weapons easy to hand, as well. Plus her aikedo, also. Looking over the street, Karrin sets her jaw and walks

Red has posed:
Alice says, "No, we are open in..." Alice takes her time searching on her watch before finishing the sentence. "Three minutes. Got to get the shop properly open first. "What kind of costume youre looking for your friend's girl?" she asks as she stands in front of the door, blocking it somewhat, her eyes trailed onto the group. 4? Either that was a bachelor group or something bad..."

June Connor has posed:
"Somethin' sexy, right?" the tall man says, Knives punches his companion, who punches back. "I'm Tiggs, this is Knives, Samurai, and Jojo," he says, the final man being a rather husky black man who remains mostly silent in the group. "We just came to you know, talk about your continued protection," he murmurs to Alice. Knives notices Karrin starting to follow, and wraps Tiggs on the back, who glances back to see Karrin approaching, and moves back a little. "We ain't doin' nothin," he declares before accusation.

"Nothin' but extorting," June pipes up, "Fuckers are bold be doin' that right in front of a cop."

"Shut up, bitch," Tiggs says, "Not been talkin' to you."
"Nah, guess you're smart enough not to start that," she challenges. Of course, June is almost a foot shorter than the man she is trash talking. She's not the de-escalation type.

Nemean has posed:
Just around the corner, lurking in an alleyway, a large figure wearing a hooded leather jacket waits, listening into the escalating situation with his enhanced hearing, using his nose to pick out which ones are the hostile scents. Everybody smells different, even if they don't realize it.

Nemean was lurking, despite it being daytime, because as he'd agreed with the other mutants, lurking around at night was getting old. Why should they be ashamed of what they are. Besides, he wasn't a ninja, not like the others. He was more of a direct action type. He checks a couple of his pieces of gear, and then rises from where he was leaning against the wall, puts his large paws into his jacket pockets, lowers his head to shadow his face, and then turns the corner, walking towards the group.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin's noticing it all. She's not stupid, and she isn't saying a word while walking over. Instead, she's got her mind set on sorting this out. Truth be told, Karrin's de-escalation involves doing her cop thing.

Given she reported the four gang members, and overheard them using nicknames or street names...she's quietly gathering info on them. Keep talkinng boys....

Arms at her sides, she walks over. "Is the store open?" she asks, looking like she's here to pick up something. She's walked up to the group, true. She's just waiting, however. The PD's been notified. If it goes sour, she'll call in backup. Or, hopefully Waldo or Morrigan won't get to see how good a shot she is? Hopefully not. Karrin coughs to get their attention. Play it subtle, Murph.

Besides. SPECTRE is supernatural crimes. Which....this is just crimes. Still though. She's asked them to move on once. Now they're /definitely/ doing shady thingsThat woman said they're extorting. Great. Just great...

Red has posed:
Alice says, "My continiued protection? I don't need your protection." Alice responds to Tiggs, stressing the I. "And if you mean my protection from you... you'll regret it. Sure, you ain't done anything yet and you should prefer to keep it like that. Because you ain't gonna like what I would do to you under castle doctrine. I ain't have to retreat from my workplace." Alice pushes back, opening the door in the process, the bell above playing the Imperial March. She might buy herself half a minute as she ducks into the shop...

And she uses that some seconds to grab for a couple things that hang on display. Not Darth Vader, but she throws over a fur-lined coat and pulls free a sword with a 'carved ivory' looking hilt. Longclaw. And she prepares to stand her ground standing in the doorway. Not thas she could use it, but the look of the steel blade might scare them off."

June Connor has posed:
"Nah girl," Tiggs says, "There's lotsa scary people out there, the Foot keeps things all kosher, hear?" As Alice drops into the room, June shakes her head. "Just get lost, shithead," June answers. "You're just lackeys for the Foot clan, not like anyone gives a damn about your threats anyway."

"Officer," Knives speaks up, "This girl here, she's harrassin' us, aren't ya gonna do anything?"

Nemean has posed:
"Leave it to the Foot to harass innocent shopkeepers." Comes the voice from the hooded figure that's walking towards the group, "Of course you're not really Foot, are you? You're either really bad at being ninjas, or you're using the name to try to get some leverage. Either way.."

He lifts his head up, growing deeply, "I'm going to take my revenge on anyone associated with them." His right hand moves out of his pocket, and pulls the jacket back, drawing a blade from a sheath on his vest, the edge giving off a faint blue glow when it catches the light just right, "Come on then. Make your choice."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Okay. This just got serious. Karrin's retreating to her car and out comes the P90. She's aiming at the five of them from behind the engine and front of her car. Being five feet tall, that's easier than if she were taller.

"Ah fuck" Karrin sighs keying the radio. Backup is definitely needed now. There's blades drawn now. "Put the blade down" Karrin calls. "Put it down and nobody gets hurt"

Which is hopefully the best outcome. Then again, given Karrin just called for backup for a man with a knife and four other suspects...great. There goes her math about how many bullets per target. Thanks, jerks. Throwing off the cop's math.

"NYPD. Put down the weapons!" Karrin calls. She doesn't /want/ to shoot anyone. But if they go for her or the innocent shopkeepers....Karrin may well be calling Morrigan or Waldo to clean the mess up. Great...

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
Flatbush is the kind of place that, if you're a local, you know where things are and where to go when you want them. This morning, Carlo was in the mood for something sweet to serve at the pizza place, and a call to Junior on Flatbush Avenue had about ten different cheesecakes waiting for him. Driving down the street in his 1968 Impala, it casts a striking silohuette, even with the top up. Turning the corner, he slams on the brakes with a squeal of tires at the sight of a standoff. Thankfully, the traffic has pretty much come to a standstill, but to keep anyone else from causing issues, he puts the car in park with the headlights off in the middle of the street, the driver's door opening as he steps up and out, watching. The horns and the brooklynites yelling? that's part of the magic of Brooklyn, baby!

Red has posed:
Alice continues to stand behind the door of the shop, the door open. That Steel in her hand quivers a little as she holds it, glaring out, standing her ground inside the shop. No step out. Because that would mean breaking castle. But she waits, watching through the glass door and window.

June Connor has posed:
"Whoa, what you think you gonna do? Take the whole city?" Tiggs answers. "Everybody's associated now, homie, probably even the pretty little cop over there." He looks casually back to see Nemean's face under the hoody. He jumps back, "Oh shit, you one of them mutants they been talkin' bout," he says. Upon Karrin pulling her gun, there is a general alertness that comes up, all of them looking back. "Hey hey!" Jojo suddenly cries out. "This guy be crazy yo!" He points at Nemean while looking at Karrin, clearly wanting her to focus him. Knives, on the other hand, stays still for a second, his hand slowly starting to reach behind him.

June, though she might be mistaken as being part of this rag tag group by a newcomer, just freezes, taking a step back from the four, holding her hands in the air as she back through the door of the shop. Once inside, she lips mildly to Alice, "Entertaining place you got here."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin's keeping an eye on things. She's not wanting to open fire on them, not without a reason but she's also not a fan of thugs harrassing poor innocent shopkeepers. Plus she likes hiding behind things that'd stop bullets, too. Or knives. She looks to the four, and wondres where the hell her backup is. Plus the guy with the blade, too. She's not forgot about him, though a small part of her wants to le thim kill them all then take him in and ask what happened. She's sorely tempted to. After all, she's damned good at writing up reports. So...
So P90 goes back in its hiding hole, in her car, and...yeah, she's hiding now. If that guy with the blade wants to gut the four...Karrin won't stop him. Because taller and stronger than her with a blade equals bad news. It's easier cynicallyy speaking to let him kill themn, and then report it as she couldn't get to them in time. Or, something like that.

Nemean has posed:
Charade is over, may as well pull back the curtain. Nemean pulls his hood off entirely with his left hand, looking between the gang and the cop, "Well. Are you?" He asks, the lion figuring that her being bought and paid for might be a good reason why she's not stopping a bunch of Foot thugs, "I know the Foot's got their greedy mitts in everything from rent-a-cops to the FBI." And yeah, the big blue lion is a mutant. That much is pretty obvious at this point.

"Your boss made me this way. And I'm going to take his head." He replies back to Tiggs, "You want to stop me? Make a move."

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
Stopped in the middle of the street, Carlo watches as the Cop behind the car backs down and watches as bad things unfold. Whoever's in the shop - whoever's being menaced by the thugs - seems to be thining with the right part of their brain, staying inside where things can be argued more in the 'self defense' range. Hopefully she has a weapon of some kind. Stepping back to the trunk, Carlo opens it and grabs a couple of things from inside, slamming the trunk and more than likely getting the thugs attention for just a moment. In one hand, a baseball, and in the other, a bat.

"We havin' a problem here, fellas?" Neighborhood Cleanup Crew.

Red has posed:
Alice gestures for June to hide behind the low wall that separates the windows from the actual shop, Longnail still in hand as she steps firward to stand tiptoe with the doorframe. Maybe a bit more than five feet away from Knives. The steel is lowered, tip standing on the concrete doorstep. "You shall not Pass!" she tells loudly to the gang, her eyes affixed to them, a dark look on her face.

What is cotton other than a bunch of long cellulose string? And what is cellulose? a Macropolymer of Beta-1->4 linked D-Glucose. A polymer. And Alice... well, she was the master of polymer shape. And Knives is closest, so she focusses on him first, his underwear specifically. And reshaping it she did. Underwear didn't needed to be closed around the belly and legs... no.. for Knives, his underwear belongs bunched up where he excretes excrements.

June Connor has posed:
Knives glances at the retreat of the cop. His read is that it means she is on the Foot's take as well. Samurai, the asian thug, shifts his gaze quietly to Carlo as he declares himself. There's several beats.

Knives snaps from behind his pocket a pistol, a quick draw coming to Nemean as he simultaneously finds something entering where only exits should occur. It drastically alters his aim, his eyes going wide, he nearly shoots poor Jojo.
The next moment Samurai, the asian, pulls his gun, firing at Carlo. Jojo jumps nearly out of his skin as the bullet strikes the window shop glass next ot him, putting a crack through it, whild Tiggs, that tall lean black man, pulls his own knife in case the first two aren't successful.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Once shots are fired, Karrin returns fire with her P90. 5.7mm ammunition is fired towards them from her suppressed PDW, as she's being careful to aim at the guys with guns. Shouting orders in a gunfight would be pointless. And anyhow she's across the street, too. On the other hand, she's got more bullets than they do, and knows how to shoot. Watching them down her sights, Karrin pulls the trigger again. It doesn't take a lot of bullets to kill somebody. If they hit right. Karrin though is aiming to take them out of the fight. Actually, she's aiming center mass, and pulling the trigger.

So, bullets are flying from her weapon as she's returning fire, in fear of her own life. Admittedly, her weapon of choice isn't exactly standard issue. But. it /works/ for her.

Nemean has posed:
The massive lion man roars once the guns are drawn. He wants to get their fire focused on him, because he knows he can take it. Everybody else around probably isn't as bullet resistant as he is.

Of course the guy who WAS shooting at him suddenly fires a shot off that nearly nicks his buddy. Good fortune for Nemean it would seem, as it gives him a chance to close the distance.

He aims for Knives' gun with his own knife, the nano-graphene blade should be enough to cut cleanly through that weapon and put it out of commission. He spots Tiggs' knife, figuring he'll need to deal with that soon enough. Guns are a much more pressing threat.

Fully automatic fire from across the street gets Nemean's attention, supressed or not, "Cease fire!" He yells at the officer. He has every intention of handling this himself, preferably without anyone dying.

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
"Hey! Watch the CAR!" Carlo shouts, pounding the windshield of his car that now has a neat hole in it from the Asian's gun, cracks spidering out from it. And with Samurai distracted, Carlo winds up and flings the baseball at the distracted Thug's head in a non-lethal 'hey look over here!' type of motion. If all goes well, this'll brain him and knock him out. Watching one of them get shot will probably take the fight out of the rest of them. Hopefully. He doesn't want to smack one with a bat. He would approach, but baseball bat vs. handgun is a losing proposition most of the time. Carlo ducks down behind the car door and waits. American Iron will keep him safe.

Red has posed:
As gunshots get fired, Alice ducks back into the shop. Standing in front of it as thugs come is one thing. Getting shot at another. Taking cover inside, she tosses the sword to the side and vaults over the counter, ducking down with the dubious protection of some wood, paper and the window glass... which was shattered already. So pretty much nothing but being hidden.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin ceases fire when yelled at. She's tempted to yell back. But. She's stil got her P90. And frankly anything that roars like that isn't going to be scared of her. On the other hand her backing down got her a justification to fire on the four. Not so much the guy with the blade, but he's taller and a friggin' lion, anyway. No way she's dumb enough to open fire on him. No. Just. No

So she ducks behind her car, P90 stashed away again, as she's hiding there, waiting, and she's still got her pistol in her belt and her Taser and other toys too. Because, sure, like a P90 isn't enough bullets for this cop.

Nemean has posed:
With the automatic fire now stopped, Nemean goes back to work. He reaches over to grab Jojo by his shirt and haul him up into the air, "Come on!" He snarls into the man's face, "You want me to leave you for that cop to shoot? NYPD officer shoots a gang of punks. Bet you get a two sentence article on the webpage." He tries to throw Jojo towards Knives. That should just leave Tiggs left.

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
Normally Carlo doesn't have a gun around and today is no different - concealed carry in New York is a pain in the butt, but today's the sort of day that he really, really wishes he had his Glock. He peers out from behind the car door towards the chaos going on, where the lion...thing...is hefting one of the goons, the one that was shot on the ground, bleeding from a wound about mid-torso on the left side. "Fuckers wanting to get killed up in this place..." he grumbles, diving into the car and crawling across the bench seat to the passenger side, opening the door and rolling out on to the ground with the first aid kit he keeps under his front seat in one hand, his bat in the other. And he makes a beeline for the fallen guy, his first aid kit coming open, contents scattering on the ground as he rips out a chunk of gauze the size of a softball, stuffing it into the wound to try and staunch the bleeding. Combat training coming into play. "Hey, hey. Look at me." He slaps the shot Foot member before dragging a garbage can between him and the fight going on. "Focus on my voice. No dying on this street. Give Brooklyn a bad name, you do that."

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
The goon on the ground, bloody Goon, coughs and writhes from the shot Karrin sent into him. He's injured, but alive, so there will be paperwork, but not as much in the event that he died. Samurai took the ball to the head, a crack echoing through the street as he pitches over backwards, dazed, falling to the ground in a heap, a stitching of gunfire in the wall and shattered glass behind him. Knives' attack was thwarted from the wedgie going where the sun doesn't shine, and the noise he makes when his BVD's invert themselves is akin to a pig squealing and a nine-year-old-girl's birthday party. Lots of screaming and squealing and going up on his toes as he reache back to try and get it /OUT!/

One thing that can be said about the foot, though? While they /are/ a criminal enterprise, the last thing they want to do is call attention to themselves and, when facing overwhelming force, the idea is to leave and fight another day. Having Carlo with a bat, crazy cop lady with a gun that shoots /entirely too many bullets/ and a lion-looking guy with a sword, discretion turns out to be the better part of Valor. Somehow Jojo and Tiggs didn't get shot center mass. Sure, Jojo got hit in the shoulder, thanks to being in front of Tiggs, but he's not going to die.

Well, he might when Shredder finds out what happened, but still.

Tiggs grabs him and YANKS backwards, trying to run into and through the shop next door to Alice's - a dry cleaner's with some poor asian people cowering behind the desk.

Red has posed:
Alice was still ducked behind the counter, when Tiggs runs into the shop. INVADES her workshop and storage of the drycleaner. There was a door between the two shops, usually open as costumes were given through that to the cleaner to fix them up and then back through the same wall. Something that was for both shops benefit. And then... Tiggs was pretty much up with her again.

Frozen for a moment, maybe fifteen feet inbetween them, Alice stared to the thug, then reached for a piece of polyurethane foam, the thing melting into a solid ball before her fingers touched it and then hurled it at the Foot, waiting for the moment of contact to reshape it again, so it would cover his face like a plastic bag... one that creeps into his eyes, nose and mouth..

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin's on the radio describing where the suspects went, and watching them. Shaking her head she puts the radio back and looks around the area, shaking her head again. "Oh great. Now what do we do?" she asks looking to Carlo. "You a doctor?" she adds looking over the area. If anything, she's rattled. Not good.

Nemean has posed:
Nemean does give chase, especially when he sees that the two goons still outside are either being treated or totally incapacitated. That means he can keep on the two that are running. He can smell the blood coming from Jojo's shoulder wound, should make tracking them easy.

He probably won't have to track them far, since it seems that Alice has every intention of making sure they don't escape the shop that they've so foolish invaded. Nemean changes his focus to Jojo since Tiggs should be handled, aiming to shoulder check the wounded man and then pin him down.

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
"Nah." Carlo shouts to the cop on the radio. "Just a vet." Whether he means animal vet or Military vet he doesn't clarify, but either one would probably be good for this case. "You calling an ambulance?" He's keeping pressure on the wound, keeping the guy alive for the EMT's as best he can, looking over at the sound of sirens.

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
Tiggs is in the shop, dragging Jojo, and turns to run when he sees Nemean charging after them, leaving his wounded compatriot behind. He turns right into Alice's blob of goo that splats on his face like a pie thrown against a wall. He gasps and falls backwards, trying to pull it off so he can breathe, at least wanting to poke a hole in the mouth - he can deal with his nose later but right now, air is kind of a big deal. Jojo is slammed by Nemen, going down in a crash on the floor, knocking over a display, stuff falling down on top of him, making a gigantic mess.

"Hey!" Carlo calls. "Treat the lady's store good, ya bum!"

Red has posed:
Alice grabs a pair of zipties as she walks through the connecting door and turns the struggling Tiggs onto his back after he pierced a hole into the thin film over his mouth. She let him do that actually, because it allowd to turn him in. To ziptie his hands behind his back, then rip the former foam out of him and drag him through the front door of the drycleaner. "Ey, COP! Do at least some part of your job and haul this ass to the station if citizens have to defend their life and homes themselves!" she yells to Karrin, dropping off the guy before handing Nemean some zipties. "Bundle the donkey up and take the back door. I ain't seen any lion today."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin's called for an ambulance and her backup's showed up, finally. Two cruisers and a pair of ambulances. The EMT set to it with the woundd or out cold goons, and the cops are taking names, statements and sealing off the area to investigate. Karrin's talking with a pair of suits that had shown up. Great. She's gonna hear it on this one, but...Karrin's sticking to her story. With sirens wailing, the EMT are transporting the wounded to hospitals. The captured are, and this is a total shock, going to be processed. Which is in Karrin's eyes, incredible. She is told to get her butt back to the station and she'll sit out till they finish looking into this one.

Carlo Paccioretti has posed:
It's been a hell of a day for Carlo, too. AFter getting the blood off his hands and retrieving his baseball - before it's taken for 'evidence' - he heads back to his car and frowns at the bullet hole, shaking his head, sliding into the driver's seat after a second. He grips the wheel with both hands and lets out a sigh, turning on the vehicle and heading back to Junior's for his cheesecake.
