Synopsis: Karrin talks about moving to Bludhaven
Cast of Characters: Karrin Murphy, Harry Dresden

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Harry's office isn't tidy much, as Murph's not touched anything bar what she unpacked. She's got a box of books by Harry's desk and yet...she's settled on the couch relaxing with coffee she made. After all, she lives here now and she's enjoying it. Mostly since hey, she's moved in with Harry. People approve. And it's made her commmute to work more interesting...

She still can't get rid of that nagging feeling though she's missing something. After all, she left the Blue Lady to deal with stuff. She's a feeling she missed out on stuff. Running into Buffy didn't help much, but Murph's wearing her casual gear and stretched out on the couch, shoes by the side of said couch. She's checked on Mouse, and resolved to get him things that will make him think. Even if squeaky dog toys work just fine.

Harry Dresden has posed:
"No Bob, I am NOT moving you to the bedroom." shouts Harry from the room he has designated his lab. "I could care more that your 'view' is a wall, don't think I don't get your game...perv."

Harry sighs as he closes the door behind him as he exits the lab. "I swear Murph, sometimes I just want to smash that skull."

Harry makes his way to the kitchenette and pours himself a cup, lifting it to his lips and letting out a satisfied sigh. "Hey you." he says to Murph, "How is suspension treating you?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
"It's so-so. I got let back off of it with promises of good behavior. Unfortunately. That means don't shoot unless I got a good reason, and don't call you in on things. At this moment, I'm thinking about their offer. Transfer to Bloodhaven and be SPECTRE there" she mutters, shaking her head. "I didn't mean to skip out on the Blue Lady, but things came up. Did I miss anything important? Buffy said she needed to keep Thomas calm and things happened. Oh I'm okay just trying to find suitable dog toys for Mouse" Murph says. She's had coffee before Harrry came back. The joys of driving to McAnally's, having cofffee, and chatting with Mac. Then coming home. Because that's how Murph is.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry pauses his drink mid way to his lips when Murph mentions Thomas. There is a brief pause before he finishes the movement and takes a sip.

"Fine." Harry says coldly, "Things are just fine."

Harry starts to pace along the floor, "He just brought up Susan, he didn't mean to. "

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Well. Snap. Murph didn't mean to get that reaction. "Ah" she says simply, making a note not to push that subject any unless Harry wants to. "Just Buffy mentioned it so I wasn't sure what happened, but since you're worked up about it. I won't pry" she says simply, looking to Harry then to the desk. Then back to Harry. Not that Murphy's trying to throw Buffy under the bus any. But the Slayer did mention it so Murph was worried to a point, but Harrry's not in the best of moods. Instead, Murph gets up and stands by the couch watching Harry quietly. There's strength in Murph, really. Even if she doesn't believe it at times.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry rolls his shoulder into a small shrug. "He didn't do it on purpose. He was just saying something about finally moving on, and it triggered. I probably owe him an apology."

Harry moves over and sits on the edge of the couch, "You know me, I beat myself up all the time about what happened."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph nods, "Yeah and you need to remember not too beat yourself up" Karrin says gently. "You've no reason to" she explains. Okay. No reason she can see. She wasn't the one with baggage. Well, bar her divorce, mind. Murph's the one mining silver linings. "Honestly, I think Buffy's good for Thomas, really. Ran into her the other day, she calmed him down. I just hope she's okay with that though" Karrin adds.

She already won the Slayer over after all. So it's natural Murphy's worried about Buffy. But hey. Buffy's a smart, smart woman.

Harry Dresden has posed:
"That is easy for everyone to say. 'Don't beat yourself up, Harry.' 'It wasn't your fault She went into the vampire lair.'...but wasn't it though? If it wasn't for me, she would never have been there." Harry says with a sigh.

Harry takes another sip and looks to Karrin, "I still have nightmares of her coming back as a full vampire and killing you, or me, or both. Maybe I am a martyr, but I have reason to be, don't I?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph glances to Harry with a smile. "I was more going for don't beat yourself up, Harry. I got your back" she says with a nod. "I got your back. As does Mouse. And Buffy, and our friends, Harry. You're not alone in this" she nods, reaching her hand out to him. "Trust me. We got this"

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry sighs, lowering his head slightly, "I know, Murph. I know, you almost always have..notable exception when you try to arrest me...but that wasn't your fault either. You just didn't have all the info. Again, my fault." Harry says with a smirk.

"Buffy is a good kid. Thomas....well, he is a vampire. White court, but still a vampire. He seems like he means well, but I don't think I can ever fully trust him."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin nods looking to Harry, "Yeah I didn't have all the info but now I do" she adds with a knowing grin, crossing to the kitchenette, coming back with coffee as she sips it. "See that's the thing. Buffy's a good kid" she says quietly. "I just hope she doesn't get in over her head"

Murph's right to worry, too. Buffy's the Slayer. But....

Setting the coffee down, she jerks her head to the door to the lab. "Alright, what did you do to Bob? he's too quiet. Did you glue his mouth shut or something? And if you did. Why didn't I think of that?" she adds with a giggle.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry smirks as Karrin changes the subject and distracts him with Bob antics, "No, and I don't think it would help anyway. I don't think he technically needs the mouth to talk." expresses Harry as he sets his coffee cup down on the end table. "A lack of lips or tongue has never stopped him before. But the nerve of that skull...I swear if he wasn't so useful at times."

Harry looks over to Karrin, combing his fingers through his hair. "I think Buffy and Thomas know, don't they? I mean they would have to... If not, things could get ugly."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
"Hey Bob's not got any lips or a tongue or a mouth. Criminals I deal with don't have a brain, you think that stops them?" Karrin smiles. "So, you think I should take the transfer to Bloodhaven?" she asks, with a wave around, "I mean, I could. But" she shrugs, listening o Harry before thinking on the Buffy thing. "She's a good kid, yeah...but..." Murph points out. "She reminds me of me, in a way ya know?" she asks looking to Harry again.

Karrin smiles, looking pleased, "Besides,we can find ways to deal with the nightmares" she offers.

Harry Dresden has posed:
:thinks for a long moment, "I mean, the commute would be shorter and you wouldn't have to take the bridge all the time, but ultimately It should be whatever makes you happy. Would you be happy in the force here?"

Harry makes his was over to the ice box and pulls himself out a Coke, popping the top and taking a swig. "I'll talk to Thomas. See what his relationship with Buffy is. If he is...feeding." Harry says with a blush. "From there I can see what we need to worry about."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph nods. "I can ask Buffy as well, she trusts me" Karrin smiles, sipping her coffee. "See, I'm not sure what's going on with both of them. Either way, Harry, you know it's not all bad, right?" she asks settling on the couch again while watching him.

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Yay! Awkward conversations! My specialty..." Harry says with a smirk.

"What's not all bad, Karrin? I mean, sure not everything sucks. I got you around, don't I?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Awkward's one thing. So Karrin has an idea to make it less awkward realy. With a nod she smiles. "Oh it's not all bad. You got me, you got Mouse, this place and your tricks up your sleeves, Harry" she nods leaning in for a kiss as she grins. Yes. PDA is totally a thing with them. Karrin's trying to take his mind off of things.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry blink at the kiss, returning it gently. Chuckling, he mutters "I never really thought of you as the PDA type, Murph. Not that this is public."

Harry sinks back into the couch and let's out a long sigh. "I'll calm Thomas later, I owe him an apology." He looks over to Karrin, cocking his head to the side, "So, you and Buffy are friends enough to talk sex lives, huh? I don't know how you women do that..."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
"Carefully" Karrin smirks. "To be fair. It's not sex life talk. It's more casual small talk. C'mon, when do Buffy and I talk about sex while she's in our ofice huh?" Karrin challenges. Check, Harry.

Murph grins, "Though hey, I'm not bringing up my sex life. Buffy's way younger than me. That'd just be wrong if I was going to brag. Buffy's just turned 21, come on. She's like a younger me, if I staked vampires and wasn't a cop. Though I like my job, and my situation" Murph adds looking amused. "Mouse is way, way too quiet. What's he planning?" Karrin asks. She often wonders that about the dogosaurus

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Uh....never, but I wouldn't expect you too either! Hell's bells, Murph!" exclaims Harry with a start. "Just like I wouldn't expect you to just blurt out thing about us in the office. Stars and stones."

Harry takes another sip of his Coke, looming down the hall towards the bedroom, "I'll bet you dishes that he has taken the opportunity to take a nap on the bed. I would if I were him. Both he and Mister are unaccustomed to having the bed have more than one in it."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph smirks. "You think they can both share a bed?" Murphy asks, "Then again, mouse takes up the bed. Mister gets one tiny little corner, and a pillow or two" she nods sagely. "Cat decided to rub against me earlier so I now belong to the cat empire. That's nothing new. It's a natural step. See. Mister and Mouse are seeing if I'm worth it, but cats just claim anything in their space. Also yeah, I got more tact than that. I'm liable to death glare Buffy if she starts that talk in here" she adds with a nod, sipping her coffee. "Though if Mouse is on the bed and Mister is too, good luck gettig them off of it. I swear we'll have to get mattressses ar hammocks for them" she jokes.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry snorts, "You give Mouse too much credit. Haven't you noticed he is afraid of Mister? Or at least respects Mister's seniority? If anything Mister is allowing Mouse to share his bed."

Harry sips his Coke, "Mister must like you, he didn't knock you over. He still tries to clip me behind the knee on occasion."

"Yeah, that is you Murph. Tact." Harry grins. "I'll remember you said that."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
"I give smart people, or dogs, credit" Murph grins, "Mister hasn't tried yet, you mean. I think it's offering him things to inspect and not offering myself as a walking scratching post?" Murphy asks with a smile. "See. See, I'm somewhat used to cats. On the other hand, I'm slowly getting used to Mouse. Pretty sure he likes me. I'm just worried about him laying a claim to me" Murph ofers, glancing to Harry's desk. "See, this is wh y we work, Harry. Mouse and Mister accept the two of us" she declares. "Oh yes. I got tact. You may not think it. But. I got tact. It's just a finite resource that recharges over time"

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry folds his arms over his chest and smirks, "Mouse likes pretty much everyone that I can tell, except Lea. Lea he doesn't like very much. You feed him and give him pettings, that is all it takes to get on his good side."

Harry eyes Karrin for a moment, "So you are just out of tact when I see you. Got it." he says with a smirk. "Speaking of tact, when is your next shift?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph snorts, "No, no, I'm out of tact when I'm holding George and got my finger on the trigger. Else I got tact" she says with a siedways look to Harry, eyeing him. "Tact is useful in the right situations, Harry. You have to give me a little credit. My next shift is..." she says checking her phone. "Tomorrow, assuming I'm still in New York. Else I go to Bloodhaven, and go there" she says. Ah, decisions, decisions.

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Oh, right, I'm the one without tact." says the man who will spout off to anyone regardless of size, strength, stature or social standing. Harry is an equal opportunity offender.

"I'm sure wherever you go, it will work out fine Karrin. They departments work together, right? It shouldn't be a big deal?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin's not a whole lot bettr, really. Her tactless remarks on that entitled woman at the coffee truck were very, very tactless. See, Harry mouths off to evryone. Murph, too.

"Yeah, though" she says, "I need to do paperwork and all that. See, on the one hand, Bloodhaven is spook central. On the other, New York...is New York. But Bloodhaven is closer" she says with a nod as she smirks. "Mouse is Mouse. Mister, too" she nods, getting up heading to the kitchenette, looking for food as she sets her coffee in the sink, empty coffee.

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Is the commute that bad from here to New York? If you take the Harley, you can just go around the traffic...that way you can still stay with the department you love." Harry says with a shrug.

He kicks up his feet and relaxes a bit, laying down on the couch while he feet hang off the edge. "I'd offer just taking you via the NeverNever, but that wouldn't be a good idea."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
"You've not suffered through New York and Jersey traffic in a morning, have you?" Karrin asks with a grin, watching Harry as she smiles. "Hey, does the never never have traffic problems, cone zones, tolls, and angry drivers going one handed and flippping everyone off while steering with their knees and using a phone?" she half jokes. Oh she knows from being in the never never that it's not a good idea. "Hey, Harley's not a bad idea. Then again, I can't keep things dry on my bike when it rains or snows can I?" she wonders, returning to the couch and perching on the end of it for a moment, sliding gracefully down onto it. "Don'tget me wrong. Harleys are good bikes. My Saturn's a good car. It's just, ya know, I can put a light on my car. If I can pull that off on a bike..." she trails off.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden shrugs a shoulder. "Just trying to find the compromise between you being here, and the job you love. What kind of asshole would I be if I didn't at least try to make it work for you?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin eyes Harry, "Yeah you want me here with the man I love, and the job I love" she points out, looking amused. "See, despite all your flaws, and all the crap life's thrown at you...silver lining. I didn't even have to dig this one up" she nods sagely, stepping toward the bedroom to check on Mouse and Mister.
