Cast of Characters: Polaris, Blink

Polaris has posed:
Blink had received an email from the Princess, stating that she was going to Argentina with Roberto.. all to seek an answer that had haunted her for sometime. Apparently, some stranger had written her via a letter... stating that Polaris had a sister. A full sister. One which had long since been lost and was seeking her help. Furthermore.. that Roberto thought it fake.. but that Magneto had said it was possible.

The last line included a note that, if she didn't email back within the hour, then things went badly. For both her and her boyfriend.

It would seem the Princess had kept her bodyguard in the dark and now, it had backfired on her.

Blink has posed:
It had taken a while to recover from the fabled mud party for Rogue's anniversary. In fact she was still getting flashbacks from all the alcohol she had drank, and challenges made during drunkness for mud wrestling. Which meant she had mostly been ambling about home over at Genosha. But an email from Lorna is something that perks her attention...

She picked up her phone to read the email. A frown, then a re-read. Off to Argentina? Well, that certainly made her more awake, thumbing down on her phone a reply. Where exactly in Argentina is she? Does she need backup? She can be there in a blink! (Literally).

She starts on looking over some images of Argentina on the internet, preparing herself to jump if necessary, a bit of a mutter at having been left in the dark. Princesses!!!

Polaris has posed:
Any quick searches in regards to the Princess' safety and other such royal notes.. as Genosha did keep track of the various royal's positions at any given time, included Polaris' departure from New York via private plane, owned by Da Costa in a round about manner. Tied into his business contacts and the alike.. to the capital city of Argentina. Along with the notification that it had touched down safely with no issue.

But that had long since been past the time that Lorna had said she'd contact Clarice. And the silence on the email spoke volumes.

It would seem Clarice would in fact have to blink there if she wanted further information.

Blink has posed:
Buenos Aires it is!

Blink goes through those quick channels that Genosha has implemented for the Royals safety, checking that they should be in the capital..., or at least were. She also checks on that private airplane's hangar and where it should be stopped so she has a reference to go to when she gets to the airport and then it's time to get ready. Contacts on her eyes, loose hair so the elf ears aren't visible. Tight clothing and then her large jacket atop that. She studies a few images of Buenos Aires airport and then it's time to go! A portal opens and she jumps in.

Of course that jumping without having been there, and in such a rush, can often go wrong..

Polaris has posed:
Blink arrives in the airport, but next to the hangar.. in the middle of the runway. There at least, no planes are currently flying down the pavement to take off. In fact the whole of the airport seems to be in lock down mode. There seems to be a lack of people moving about doing their jobs and more of extreme wariness.

A heavy police presence could be seen from her position at the private doors. And she can see the private plane might have carried the couple to the country.

Blink has posed:
Eeep, the runway! A quick lookabout just to make sure there's no plane coming in her direction and then Clarice lets out a sigh of relief. But the state of the airport leaves her on alert, her expression screwing to a worried one. She lowers herself a bit to keep somewhat out of sight, then another quick portal to bring her closer to the private plane to check if there's anyone there, or if she can find anything that shows where the couple may be.

She keeps herself to the shadows, using her natural nimbleness to duck behind, out of sight of the police while she continues to try and find a way into the plane. If none is found she may just teleport up to one of the plane's windows and try to hold on to it so she can peer inside.

Polaris has posed:
Clarice is able to make it into the open hangar that held the private plane without catching the attention of any of the police that swept over the airport's entrances and exits. Inside there was no one immediately close. Down the way, a few techs stood around, one or two clicking away on his phone as another listened to something on his radio.

As Clarice goes up to the private plane's window, she can see a few of Roberto's employees cleaning and tending to the inside of the plane's passenger area.. But it was a skeleton crew. And there were no signs of the couple inside.

Blink has posed:
Skeleton crew..., and calm about it. For Clarice it means that they are not aware, nor was it here that anything happened. And the police activity on the airport most likely means -something- did happen to Lorna and Roberto. It's time to face and try to infiltrate those then....

She drops herself down to the ground quietly. A pause and then she begins on her way out to where the police presence is more heavy. She does a quick look around to check if there's any tech overalls about she can snatch and dress to look more inconspicuous but if not she will just have to rely on using her own stealth.. And her portals of course.

She also makes a note to herself to get a tracker on Lorna one day.

Polaris has posed:
The skeleton crew certainly didn't get Roberto's text about 'it being a trap', that had gone to Doug and Sam. So unfortunately, his people were in the dark about what had just happened. The Argentinan police force outside that walked about with no small amount of worry and concern, wasn't trying to let out what had happened either. It would make international headlines. Billionaire and Princess kidnapped? Killed in carbombing? It was decidedly all very hush hush, for now. As people worked to try to figure out exactly what had happened.

Clarice would find in a room off to the side of the hangar a crate of discarded coveralls, boots, and various other uniform bits. All of which stank and needed a good washing, covered in oil and who knows what as they were.

But they would do. And no one would look at her twice for it.

Blink has posed:
The sacrifices Clarice does for her Princess. But it's all worth it for her. Genosha is her home, and the people there are her family. And in truth she considers Lorna a friend already.

So she quickly gets those coveralls on. Boots, then a work shirt and finally the overall over it all. Her jacket and other clothing gets put inside a bag which she carries along with her. She is just about to step about when she remembers her hair ..., purple won't do.. So she snatches a cap and places it on her head. Yes, not too bad. And off she goes. She walks calmly but there is of course some tension visible on her shoulders but then again, who wouldn't feel tense with all this police around?

She begins making her way through as if she belonged, looking for the spot where this occurrence happened. She isn't exactly versed in spanish but she has picked on a few things in her various trips so she tries to listen to anything that may catch her attention too.

Polaris has posed:
Clarice's use of the service entrance goes unremarked, though another member of staff certainly gives her the upnod. Spanish circulates all around, and it's clear that people are nervous. Several of the staff are standing in the hallways, while an officer of some kind clearly interviews them. The conversations hushed and tense. No one looks pleased.

But so long as she keeps moving, keeps looking like she belongs, no one stops her. No one questions what she's doing in a pair of stained, oversized coveralls. After all, budget cuts happened, people wore uniforms a size too big. It happened.

Whatever it is that they're taking about clearly has people on edge, but unless Clarice clearly knows the Spanish terms for things.. she was going to be out of luck getting exactly what happened from over hearing people talking in the hallways.

Blink has posed:
Clarice certainly doesn't want to be interviewed so she continues on walking past, watching here and there, her brows knitted together as her worry grows further. It is very clear to her that something has happened. She waits until the officers aren't paying attention to go past without being called for an interview. And why is this damn suit so itchy!?

She continues on, aiming to get to the center of whatever event happened in the airport. Her try on understanding what's being said goes awry. She knows a little, but it's just that every day tourist language. Hola. Una habitacion por favor. And so on and on...

If she finds anyone speaking english though she will pause momentarily and listen.

Polaris has posed:
It's passed the staff halls and into the public areas of the airport that Clarice's steps lead her. It's here that she hears English being spoken, or shouted by a few angry American tourists. One voice in particular could be heard in the staff hallway behind the receptionists desks.

"I DEMAND TO HAVE A TICKET HOME NOW!" Followed by the sound of something heavy hitting the counter top.

As Clarice ventures closer, or if she goes into the public area.. she'd see the man that was dressed as every stereotypical American tourist would be dressed. A visor. Floral printed shirt. Pair of brown cargo shorts. A sunburnt face.

The receptionist apologized, holding her hands up and pleading for a moment. "I'm sorry sir, all flights are temporarily shut down until the police can clear the area--"

The angry American cut her off, leaning forward. "I DON'T CARE! Some crazy gangster blow up someone's car and that means I have to wait?! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!" He snarled, slamming his hands against the counter top again and again.

Blink has posed:
Ah, americans! It means she can understand it now but ..., somehow she wishes she didn't ... A car exploded!? That makes her start walking faster. A frown on her expression. A car means it was most likely near the entrance to the airport, or the parking lots. It's time to move on and reach those spots.

She goes through all those side entrances that she can find so she isn't right in the middle of all the commotions, making use of all those walkways that most people forget exist in airports. And she did bring her trusty lockpicks so no lock should be a problem. Theoretically. She rubs her hands against the coveralls, skin starting to get sweaty with her nervousness, biting on her lower lip in an unconscious manner.

Polaris has posed:
Airport security in Argentina isn't like it is in the US. Not typically at least, but the area was clearly covered in police trying to put together what had happened as best they could.. or at least make the show of doing so. Tourists milled about, clogging walkways and doors as they tried to find a place to sit or just to get out of the way of others.

Clarice makes it outside however, with minimal effort. Leaving wasn't difficult, but it was possible that re-entry would be harder.

Once outside, there was even more chaos. More people crowded into an area that was meant for pick ups and drop offs of cars.. that weren't moving. Just down the road was an area visibly blocked off with yellow caution tape. And even more people gathered around, along with a few journalist looking types attempting to snap pictures of whatever was behind the yellow tape.

Blink has posed:
Eyes turn here and there..., searching.. Spotting the blocked off road. But there are no roads that can contain Blink! She starts on her way there, still in her tech outfit. Perhaps not as fitting here as it was in the airport but .., maybe it will still hold. She tries to go close to the area and to where the flock of journalists is, then to begin circling about the premises to try and get a good look of what's going on. She is specifically looking for ambulances, or people that may be hurt, or any she would recognize that could be working for either Lorna or Robert.

If she can't really find an angle to investigate properly she will teleport in and proceed stealthily to gather a few clues.

Polaris has posed:
There was no one actively to be seen beyond police inside the ring of the yellow caution tape. A few bent over and collecting what evidence there was to collect while a few others of the team took pictures from different angles. Someone in front of the tape was trying to herd the journalist back and answer questions. Clearly more occupied with keeping people from breaking the blockade than in what remained inside it.

There was no ambulance to be seen at the blockade. If there had been one, it was long since gone. Along with any trace of it. People spoke Spanish here, or shouted it, to be heard above the din of reporters and journalists. More than a few curious onlookers were gathered around. Making Clarice's curious gaze unremarkable... so long as she didn't cross that yellow tape.

Within the ring was a car that was blown to bits.. or rather, there were the remains of a car. Tires scattered or popped. Glass everywhere. Bits of metal here and there. A police officer bent over something, and made a rather excited sound of surprised, holding up what looked to be a dart of some kind between two gloved hands.

Blink has posed:
A dart... That makes Blink squint her eyes. That can be a clue, and perhaps the others in the brotherhood can help identify it ... But how to get it without everyone being alarmed about the deed? She could teleport it .., but it's a small object, and it would be fully visible in front of everyone. Instead she chooses to simply look for now, looking for a better opportunity to snatch it out to her hands.

Still on the other side of the yellow tape she lingers on, surveying the crash. An attack of some sort. But no ambulance meant that at least they most likely weren't dead. Perhaps captured.

Polaris has posed:
There wasn't much else to see, not even on the other side of the yellow tape. The investigator that found the suspicious dart was quickly hushed, and in short order, the item in question was bundled up and hidden away. The investigator was swallowed up into a car and quietly bundled away. The police officer at the front of the yellow tape seemed to finish up whatever comments he was making and waved the press back as well.

Now came the clean up it would seem. A mess of hands to move and hide away the scrap to get it cleaned up and out of the way.. so road traffic might move on and functionality could return to the street.

Blink has posed:
Out of sight for some! But Blink is following it intensely with her eyes, eyeing the bag, the size of it. She is more used to teleporting people, or doing larger portals, or using her javelins. This requires another kind of finesse. It means she has to stop and focus. She starts blending in so as to not get noticed and then..., a portal gets opened on the bag and she attempts to whisk it away, hopefully to have it fall on her hand. Of course that there is that 'blink' sound that always goes with her teleports. She can't hide those!

Polaris has posed:
There was enough chaos to go around that Clarice's movements, and in fact her portaling went unnoticed. Her focus and concentration rewarded with the bag containing the dart falling directly into her hands. It was smoothly done. And with enough of an uproar from the press about the lack of answers, and being pushed away.. The sounds of metal scraps being gathered up off the pavement... no one was the wiser.

Perhaps the Argentinan police would be angry.. or perhaps not. Considering how quickly and quietly they'd clearly meant to hide away the evidence. The dart was against the theory of some gang activity. Against the usual modes of car bombings and the chaos that came with them.

All the better to hide it.. or in this case. Lose it.

Blink has posed:
Blink can't help but mutter at the corruption present, but then again it's to be expected. She has learned not to trust any kind of law enforcement around the world. To the exception of the Genoshan force of course. Because really, who would dare to slack when they may need to answer to Magneto or any other of the Brotherhood? Turns out that not many would. The joys of ruling with an iron fist!

But she now has her prize, the dart. She begins to move away and opens the bag to watch the dart carefully. Though she doesn't expect to recognize it, this is something she will need help in. And hoping Mags won't have her head for this.

Polaris has posed:
At first glance the dart looked ordinary enough, there wasn't anything particularly telling about it. Not visibly of course.. Anything else would require testing and analysis. For now though, it looks like Clarice's investigation has met a brick wall. The end of what she could find with her eyes. It would take a bit of time to run the tests... but Genosha had enough medical technology at its disposal that it shouldn't take long to get the results.

If any were to be found.

She was just another person on the street for now, just another face in the mass of people trying to get to and from the airport and around the policia that herded the press away.

Blink has posed:
And Clarice can most likely get top priority on these tests. Of course that she also wants to keep this quiet so as to not be panic or a scandal that one of the princesses of Genosha is missing. And as such it is time that she goes back home to Genosha to get these tests going. At the mean time she starts getting some messages prepped and ready to be sent, in this case to Magneto with her findings, and that tests are being ran in the lab.

She moves herself away from the commotion and now it's time to open a portal home, a 'blink' and she is back in the warm Genosha. She lets out a sigh and begins running off to the med labs.

But in all this she is at least hopeful. A dart means capture, not death. She -will- find them, and then whoever did this will answer for going against the Royals, that Sabretooth training starting to kick in.
