Cast of Characters: 171, Indigo

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Phyla steps out of her quarters with a hand moving to backside and scraching at the back of her thigh and sighs softly, moving to the food distribution unit with her eyes half open and heavy lidded. She gets a bowl of goop and a cruddy homemade looking spoon in her hand as she moves to the community table and starts to shovel it in herself.

Indigo has posed:
Indigo is--or was--cleaning the table as this display carries on. She wordlessly pulls her rag and bottle of cleaning fluid out of Phyla-Vell's way, then observes, deadpan, "Did you know I'm capable of performing a million calculations per second, Phyla-Vell? So it is with all my superhuman powers of deduction that I infer you're not feeling well."

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Phyla looks up to Indigo with a crooked grin and turns her head towards the quarters section of the ship and shouts.

"QUILL WE GOT A DETECTIVE ON BOARD!"

Her golden eyes remain on Indigo the whole time as she does this, then slowly shifts back towards her food and takes another bite.

"I'm bored Indigo. I'm bored and I'm not sure I'm doing all the good I aught to be doing."

Indigo has posed:
Indigo folds the rag neatly in half twice, and drapes it over the top of the cleaner bottle as she lowers herself into a seat. "Tell me about it," she invites.

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Phyla drops her spoon against the edge of her bowl and sighs, "I am supposed to be Quasar, Captain Marvel, so many other titles and I never feel like I've ever matched the skill or quality of those that carried the names before me." The half titan says with a sigh, her hand coming up to scratch her chest above the curve of her tank top, frowning and sighing.

Indigo has posed:
Indigo is quiet as she nods along. "I don't know who those people are, so I don't understand why they're better than you," she explains. "But that's not really the problem, is it? I mean, if all you wanted was to do better, then you'd do better. There's a reason you're not doing the things you think you need to be doing."

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Phyla looks up at Indigo with a raised eyebrow, the tattoo on her face scrunching awkwardly as she does so. "You telling me I'm my own problem? That everything wrong is in me?" When you put it bluntly like that, it doesn't sound too good.

Indigo has posed:
Indigo shakes her head. "No, I'm saying it can't be as simple as you make it sound, because simple things are never problems. They might be unfortunate, but they're not problems. Problems are complicated, which means there's something else going on here that's causing conflict."

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
"But the only thing that makes sense, is that it's me, because they're legends and stories aren't changing. They're um, ugh... the same, what's the word..." Phyla says, banging the side of her head with the butt of her palm. "Static?" Maybe? "I'm the one that's not measuring up. So I have to be better."

Indigo has posed:
Indigo nods, pleased to watch Phyla-Vell working through it. "Good. So, there are two questions at play. What do you need to be better, and what's preventing you from obtaining what you need?"

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
"If I knew those things, I wouldn't be eating my feeling away." Phyla says with a pout as she picks up the spoon turns it slowly above the bowl to watch the goop slowly dribble out to the floor. "I just don't know.

Indigo has posed:
Indigo nods, not minding the mess. She'll clean it up later. "Then let's refine the variables. In what way are your predecessors better than you? Specifically, not in general."

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Phyla shakes her head and lowers her spoon, realizing she just made another mess and sighs at herself. "I just, I'm unpracticed and unrefined. I'm still new at this, but my mother used to drill me ALL THE TIME, and always said I wasn't good enough." She sighs.

Standing up, taking the rag and cleaning spray, Phyla drops to her hands and knees and starts to clean up what she just did.

Indigo has posed:
Indigo watches Phyla clean up the floor but decides not to intercede for now. She's guessing the titan wants to be on her knees right now. "So: what's necessary is more training. That's something easily achieved. I can help with it. I have an excellent understanding of tactics, and you're not so fast I can't meaningfully spar with you. Is that something you'd like?"

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Phyla looks up to Indigo, the gleam of hope crossing her face and twikling her eyes briefly. "I would adore that!!" Phyla says with a cough clearing her throat, "I mean, ahem, yes I would appreciate that."

Indigo has posed:
"Good. Contact me with a time and place during which you'd like to train, and we'll begin."
