Date of Scene: 29 January 2020
Location: Hammer Bay, Genosha
Synopsis: Sabretooth and Blink catch up and talk a bit on what they have been up to as of late. Turns out Sabretooth can still throw a mean punch.
Cast of Characters: Blink, Sabretooth

Blink has posed:
Yes, it was a wild party. Rogue's birthday, that is. Where much alcohol was consumed and fighting had. Too bad that Clarice lost, but in her benefit she had a BIG distraction during it. Which was noticing Victor present. It came as a surprise to her, but as Victor said, 'Keep your eyes on the target.' Not something she really followed back then.

And so Blink is taking on her frustrations at the training room, kicks, elbows and punches delivered in a methodic fashion to the receiving punching bag, the sounds of her intense training easily heard out through the compound where the Brotherhood sometimes joins in. Or used to. Times have changed, their more active presence not as needed as before, but the place still stands, well taken care of (The Royals have enough money) and so she is taken advantage of it.

In her training outfit today she hides nothing of her mutant heritage, the elven ears visible along with the bright green eyes, teeth gritted and small bead of sweat trailing down the side of her face.

Sabretooth has posed:
Victor is making one of his rare visits to Genosha. Maybe it was Rogue's party that made him want to reconnect with this mutant link. Maybe it was just nothing to do. Maybe he had a job nearby. He has never been the most talkative of people. He is dressed in simple attire today, but clean. His hair is tied back in a pony tail and out of his face. He has on a simple white tank top stretched tight over his broad chest and black tactical pants on. Black boots that could be combat books or engineer's clump heavily as he walks the halls.

He pauses as he hears the noises coming from the training room. He lifts his head and sniffs at the air. He walks with a bit more purpose now as he heads into the room and spots Blink.

"Hey, kid," he says in his rough tone that really only has the barest amount of feeling. He walks over towards her and stands behind the punching bag, holding it for her as she punches.

Blink has posed:
A blink of surprise at the sound of that familiar voice, Clarice glancing over to the hulking form of Sabretooth, "Hey.." is the reply. A flippant and perhaps blase tone to it that to many would simply sound just that but Victor could well understand that's not the case. She has just learned well to hide her own feelings, yet being raised in the middle of such 'nice' people as Sabretooth or Magneto does make one to learn how to harden up.

She puts more effort into the punches she is delivering into the bag, they full of intent as she was taught, always aim for the throat and the kill, her natural athleticism showing in her motions.

"Coming to stay a while this time?" She asks, glancing past the bag to Sabretooth and then back.

Sabretooth has posed:
Victor holds the bag allowing Blink to get full force and follow through as he watches her form with a teacher's look. He shrugs slightly as his hands hold the bag. "Don't know. Nice enough place, I am sure. Still, not quite dirty enough for my liking," he says with a deep rumbling chuckle. "I like a bit more danger in my life." He pauses a bit as punches land on the bag. "This place treating you right?" with as much care as anyone is probably ever going to hear and fewer believe about the hulking mutant. "Still welcome to come with when I had to Madripoor next or any of my jobs."

Blink has posed:
Yes, she may be as athletic as she wants, nimble, slim and full of agility but yet it's not as if the bag moves that much. Can't compete with that kind of strength! But Clarice's strengths lie elsewhere... Still, her fight form seems prime and she doesn't seem to have lacked on training even when their training sessions became more sparse.

"Well, this place was as much your doing as anyone else. Even if Magneto became the de facto leader here. But this was always a dream of ours, wasn't it? A place for mutants." Her teeth show in her smile and she takes a pause to gather some breath, hands on her hips. But she nods her understanding at the need for more danger. She knows Sabretooth isn't the settling-down type. "And yes, it's becoming home at last. I have become Princess Lorna's bodyguard these last few months."

But she can't help but grin at the invitation. "I can surely go with you sometime, just let me know. You know I can be anywhere in the blink of an eye." literally!

Sabretooth has posed:
"You are handy in a fight," Victor says with a nod. "Plus, you are one of the few I trust to watch my back." He leans his body against the bag a little as his eyes look over the training room and out into the hall. "Sure, we helped set this place up, but I was never meant to be here. I do the mean and nasty things that places like this need, but don't want to talk about. I was never meant to see Heaven." He chuckles slightly as he refocuses back on Blink. "Bodyguard, huh? Good on ya, kid. But Princess," he rolls his eyes slightly at the word. "I suppose Magneto has himself set up as King then?"

Blink has posed:
"Just not in a mud fight." Clarice smirks at the rememberance to that other night where she got beat by the Belle, shaking her head a touch to herself. "I still think she cheated, but don't tell her I said it." this last part spoken in a low tone.

The smile gradually fades when Victor mentions not being meant to see 'Heaven', even if she nods her head slowly to it. She is aware of how detached the man has become since Genosha became the place it is today, "Well, yes. They are the Royals. We have a sort of monarchy here now, with Magneto as King. He rules well, and Lorna is working on making sure our mutant rights are upheld out there. It's a worthy goal to fight for."

Then she is silent for a bit longer, just punching it out on the bag before finally continuing, "Even if you think you may not be meant to see Heaven, you are always welcome here. You know that. It can be a resting place for you."

Sabretooth has posed:
"When I am ready to rest, kid, maybe," Victor says with a nod. "That won't be for a while. I've never been of the mind to have a King anyway. Me and Nature out in the woods. That suits me just fine." And there is a slight smirk and a wink at Blink. "Yes, I think she also cheated in that mud. Not sure how, but..." That deep rumbling sound that could be a chuckle echos from his chest.

Blink has posed:
"I will get her next time." Of course that next time Rogue will most likely be full powered. A lot harder to beat! Ah, well. Clarice smiles faintly. "No rest for the wicked, that's what they say." and she then letting out a long exhale, stepping back from the bag. She chinjerks to it, "Want to toss out a few punches while I hold the bag? Not sure how rusty you are these days." bit of a daring tone to her voice, not many that would attempt so with Victor, but then again she has known the man for .., years now.

She moves to press her hands on the bag, "Are you fully retired from the Brotherhood then?"

Sabretooth has posed:
Victor smiles and takes a few steps back from the bag. "Naa. I'll be there if they need me or pay me. There will always be a need for those that don't mind getting their hands dirty in the dark." He reaches out one long arm to judge the distance to the bag and takes a step towards it. "Just don't see the need to sit around some island. Fight's out there," he says with a nod of his head towards the outside before looking back at the bag. "Rather be in it," he says the 'it' with a grunt and a punch hits hard against the bag, "than trying to talk it to death."

Blink has posed:
"Yea, I know what you mean and hey..." Clarice makes a face at her mentor even as she grabs the bag more fiercely, not wanting to budge when Victor starts punching out. It's true that she has gained a bit of mass since her early days of slavery. " .... are you saying I just sit around on an island..?" she smirks then. "Though yes, don't think your time with us is over yet. Or at all. I am also serious when I say I will go with you if you ever need my help."

Then a reaffirming nod towards Sabretooth and she takes that punch in. She budges a little but not too much. She has learned how to take a punch or two at least. But she does let out a 'ufff', "Ok, seems you still got it."

Sabretooth has posed:
Victor laughs at the grunt and nods. "Yeah, I still do. And I will let you know the next time I head out to something dangerous." He circles the bag with one step to his right and punches the bag again followed with a haymaker from his left. "I'm sure you do plenty of things around here. Just, nothing I would."
