Little cooks in the Kitchen!

Synopsis:	Pixie tries to make cookies. Uninvited guests arrive.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn is in the kitchen cooking...Or, trying to. She's not much of a cook but hey, she needs to bake these darn chocolate cookies for her home economic class so she'd better get it right! Of course this leaves her literally flying around the kitchen looking for this and that, trying to measure just the right amount if each ingredient, cursing to herself as she searches for the last and most important ingredient - Chocolate chips! Naturally the kitchen is a wee mess. "Aarrrrrgh where are those darrrn chocolate chips!? It can't be chocolate chip cookies without them!"

In a cookie's defense, you can add all sorts of stuff to chocolate chip cookie dough to make them whatever you want. A batter of sugar, eggs, flour, and butter is magical to begin with, but the ability to turn into different sorts of cookies is just amazing. Gwendolyn, fresh from her visit to the infirmary to check on Shannon, enters the kitchen with a mission. Something high-protein and high-calcium that's not baked. She's scrolling through the display on her phone, flicking past recipes as she goes, only looking up when she's in the kitchen proper and stopping at the sight of a pink blur flashing around the kitchen, dumping stuff into bowls. "What is going on?" she asks, trying to get the Pixie's attention as she flits past. "And is there anything I can do to help?"

And then there's Kaida, who spends a great deal of time coming to the kitchen. She eats...a surprising amount for her size. Mice already have a need to eat 10 to 12 times a day and this mouse girl has a metabolism like no other. She burns calories fast and when she arrives in the kitchen she is already leaping from spot to spot in ways that she knows works only to come to a skidding stop in front of a bowl that is no normally there and blinks. Sniff, sniff, sniff! She mmms and then grins, "Oh, chocolate chip cookies." She then tilts her haed, "But how are you gonna make the chocolate chip cookies if the chocolate chips are up on the fridge like that." She points to a bowl with a bag of chocolate chips sticking out. She then leaps rather easily to the top of the fridge and with a tiny oof pulls the bag up and then hefts it up. She then leaps down and drops them off on the counter, "You gotta have the chocolate chips...and peanutbutter chips are good, too but I don't smell any."

Pixie has posed:
"Nnoooooo I can't finish my cookies for class tomorrow without chocolate chips!" she pouts and frets some more, pausing only briefly at the sight of the two girls, "Can you see them anywhere? I was sure it was there a second ago?" she pouts, pausing only briefly to double check the counter. When Kaida spies them, Megan beams, about to reach for them..Then she suddenly slips on something, falling hard on her butt. "Owieeee That huuuurt!" where the heck did that come from?

That's a thing, then. An assignment for cooking is both fun and stressful - get it right and get a good grade, but get it wrong and suffer the scorn of your peers forevermore! Or, at least, a bad grade. Still, with Gwendolyn here, it should be fairly easy to make good things happen. Kaida's appearance initially causes a bit of shock since mice are generally not a thing you want in a kitchen, but when it talks and seems to be wearing pants, a shirt, and a blouse? The yell and normally flung closest object doesn't happen as the chocolate chips are found and deposited on the counter. "Oh. Hello." She says, wincing as Pixie hits the floor, scrambling over to help her up. "What'd you slip on?"

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A blink as she watches Pixie slip and then her head tilts, "Umm..." She then looks as Gwendolyn rushes over. She then hops over a few steps and lands near Pixie, "Are you ok?" She then stops and sniffs the air. Sniffing and listening, her ears popping up high like a pair of satelite dishes twisting this way and that. She then turns her head, "Umm, we aren't alone." She says in her tiny voice and then she idly touches the hilt of her sword, "Something is here...multiple somethings."

Megan Gwynn blinks, climbing slowly to get feet. "Uggggh That huyurt..What the Hey did I slip on?!" she peers around, blinking at Kaida, "Wha?? whaddaya mean??" a moment later and a soft cackle from behind the kitchen counter can be heard, then the bag of flour mysteriously falls - or us pulled by some seemingly invisible force - off the table, exploding in a floury mess on the floor. Another cackle and a three foot tall shadowy figure attempts to tackle Kaida to the ground!

Using one hand to help Megan to her feet, a quick check of the floor finds nothing to slip on. "Maybe your own feet? But you fly, so tripping shouldn't happen." Kaida's warning about other somethings being around here gets the hair on the back of her neck going up in ways that she really, really doesn't like. Reaching up to her visor, she turns down the dampening of the light a little so she can see more, information rushing in as she scans the room, wincing at the oversaturated colors and the like. She catches sight of the something charging Kaida - whatever it is, and reaches out to grab it with one hand.

Gwen can flip cars. She should be able to grab and fling it away from Kaida fairly easily, probably leaving a dent or a divot wherever it hits.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
There's a blink and an eep as something tries to tackle her down. Now, admittedly, she gets knocked down by the surprise tackle but she isn't quite caught and she is grasping at her blade and pulling it free as she scrambles to her feet and grumbles, "Sneak attack eh!?" She calls out and attempts to size up her opponent and whip her blade in front of her in a small flurry, "Well, then, let us fight ya wee monster!" Yes...she just called the thing bigger than her 'wee'.

Pixie has posed:
The creature is pretty quick, but he had his eyes set on Kaida. When Gwen attempts to grab it, she is only partially successful, the little bugger getting flung away but richocheting off the wall and leaping towards Gwen'sface, unleashing a set of deadly claws. It may be small but it seems to posses at least three times it's weight in strength. As for Kaida, she is now accosted by two more critters, hidden mostly in shadows, easily fast as a mouse, matching her blade with long claws, one attempting to swipe from behind, the other from the front, aiming for her face. Megan shrieks as another critter jumps on her wings, causing her to rapidly flutter them, trying to knock it off. "Eeek! What are these things?!" even as she fights it seems they are mostly interested in Kaida, "Remember we need the little fairy alive!" hisses the first.

Oh hell, they bounce! Gwendolyn's eyes widen behind the visor and she lifts her arms to hopefully block the thing, the spines on the underside extending automatically as she does so, promising a very unpleasant landing when and if it hits and, with the weight and strength that it has, she's almost certainly going to get knocked back if it hits. "Hey, get off!" she shrieks at the thing, her attention suddenly captured by every third word being broken english - enough for her to understand. Fighting off her assaliant as best she can (with another attempted fling /away/ from her!) Gwendolyn tries to grab the bowl that Megan was using to mix her chocolate chip cookies and flings it at the one....whatever it is....sneaking up behind the mouse, threatening to cover it with sticky dough! "What are these things?"

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A blink as the thing is flung away and then she twitches, "Oh, monsters?! Ye wish to do battle with a true lash of the blade, then come forth and meet your doom." She then eeks and ducks a little low as the bowl sails by for the one behind her and then she is blocking claws from the front. Kaida is under attack and she grins wide, "Got claws do ye and seeking a fairy, huh? Well, ye ain't gettin' a fairy but you will get the sharp of my blade!" She then suddenly zips back, and to the right before she rushes around the counter and then comes back around with a burst of speed that would make a sports car blush with a fist aimed right for the face of the creepy thing that was coming at her, "Night night!" She lands feet first on the wall and then flips down to the ground.

Pixie has posed:
"Tenacious bastards they be!" snarls the one tangoing with Gwen, and even as it's flung, it bounces off the wall again, attempting to latch onto Gwen's face with outstretched claws and a snarl. It seems pretty bruised up now though, thanks to Gwen's mighty throws, but tenacious all the same. One of the critters is hit by the bowl and it stumbles a bit, snarling as it tries to get unstuck from goopy goodness. "Waaaa did they say Fairies? They think she's a fairy?" she makes a face, still wrestling with her critter, backing into a wall, fluttering her wings faster, spraying the immediate area with pink fairy dust. and the last critter is no match for Kaida's speed, getting punched in the face with a startled screech. It too stumbles back, lashing blindly with claws aimed at the girl.

"Incorrect! I know who my parents are!" Gwendolyn yells as she grabs a cutting board off the countertop and uses it as a makeshift cricket bat, swinging for the fences as the thing comes close to her face again. The absurdity of a mouse, wiht a sword, fighting goblins that think she's a fairy when there's an obvious fairy like, right THERE, is left unmentioned. Survival is the name of the game, and not destroying the kitchen is second.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
While she is no master of the blade, a blind slashing Goblin or Gremlin or whatever it is is no match for Kaida. She flicks the claws aside and then leaps back before trying to slam both of her feet into it and ride that slam right to the ground. She brandishes her blade a moment and plants the tip right at the thing's throat before saying, "I warn ya, you foul thing, if you think it feels sharp against your throat, it'll feel sharper inside your throat!" She nods and presses just a tiny bit to prove her point.

Pixie has posed:
The four gremlins suddenly regroup, darting away from all incoming attacks. If nothing else they're at least tough as nails, "Not a fairy? She's not the one? We must regroup, back to Master...? Yesss..." they nod in agreement and n a blinding flash, suddenly all four have vanished as quickly as they appeared, leaving a terrible mess in their wake.

That leaves Gwendolyn wound up, ready to bash a goblin or whatever it is into nothingness when it retreats and vanishes in a blinding flash with its companions following suit. The kitchen is an absolute wreck and, slowly relaxing and re-adjusting her goggles, Gwendolyn slowly straightens, looking to her companions. "Um..." The cutting board is put back on the counter with a clatter. "Guess we've got some cleaning to do. And...hi." She gives Kaida a small wave. "I'm Gwendolyn."

And then her quarry is gone and she frowns, "Coward!" She calls out, that Irish Lilt still hounding her voice. The riled up mouse girl having a hard time suppressing it when she's this upset. She waves her blade in the direction they went and calls out, "Come back here again and get more o' the same!" She then pouts and lets out a breath before slumping a little, "Ah'm real hungry now..." She sighs and then blinks and looks over at Gwendolyn with a tired smile, "Kaida!" She calls out as enthusiastically as she can but it appears the excitement certainly took the already hungry mouse girl down a few notches.

Megan Gwynn eeps, shielding her eyes from flashes of light. "Waaaah. what were those things? Where'd did they come from? That was weeeeird!" she draws a deep breath, staring at the mess on the floor and flips to the ground. "Nooooo my cookies!"

Dragonfly (Armenteros) has posed:
"We'll get you another bowl going." Gwendolyn offers Pixie a hand up. "And we'll get you something to eat." This is to Kaida, the visored girl giving the mouse a smile before moseying over to the refrigerator and fishing out a few tupperware contianers. "We've got fruit salad from last night, brussels sprouts, and I think there are some rice krispy treats with chocolate chips in the pantry....
