Cast of Characters: Cosmic Boy, Mon-El, Invisible Kid, Zero-G

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Rokk Krinn wanders onto the bridge of the Legion Cruiser, deciding to check out the sitrep for anything that may be going on. His jaw was still a little sore, as evidenced by his moving it a bit with his right hand, as his eyes gaze into the room. It was a day like any other, with nothing extraordinary happening so far. There was a ton of things that were going on though, so Cos knew that he needed to get back into action once more.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar has been between Earth and the cruiser mostly. Now that he's finally back to himself, he's been occupied with trying to figure a way to get Brainiac to come back. He can't help but feel kind of responsible for what happened, even if he hadn't been acting under his own power.

As he comes onto the bridge, he spots Rokk, and feels another jab of guilt at the sight of his friend. "Hey Cos." he says as he approaches. "I uh....I've been meaning to talk to you. I'm sorry about all of this. If I hurt you..." He runs a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry."

Cosmic Boy has posed:
After tapping the consoles a bit, Cos gets updated on what was happening on the cruiser, and the mission briefs. Hearing someone entering the bridge, Rokk takes a moment to look over his shoulder tosee who it was...even though he already knew.

Turning to face Lar, Rokk smiles, weakly, and raises a hand. "Hey. It's okay Lar. I probably deserved a shot. You weren't you. No need to apologize. I'm okay, and learned a lesson. Don't go one on one with a Daxamite." Cos smiles wanly, and shrugs.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar's eyes widen. "One-on-one?!" he asks incredulously. "Grife. That bad huh? It better have been the only way." he says, folding his arms.

Then he sighs, and sinks into a seat in front of the navigation console. "Well at least you're still alive, here, and in one piece. It's Brainiac I'm worried about. We need to figure out how to get him back. Or at least -I- do. I should have known better than to let COMPUTO catch me off guard like that."

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Cos's eyes narrow, ever so slightly, and simply nods. "Yeah. I stuck myself between you and Imra. And that wasn't going to happen...well, until you smashed through my defenses." Rokk rubbs his chin with a grin.

"I'm still alive, all's well, and no need to get upset." Rokk turns, leans against the console, and crosses his arms across his chest. "Brainiac. Another issue. And Computo. Lar. A lot was going on. Even Superman couldn't have been able to handle all of this."

Invisible Kid has posed:
"Yes, well, he expects miracles from himself, and not the garden variety ones that we expect," nothing at all says -- although the voice is doubtless familiar.  "He expects the genuinely impossible ones."
Lyle flicks into visibility.  "Unfortunately, he's gotten used to actually doing the genuinely impossible, so when he doesn't pull it off... well, he has absolutely no forgiveness for himself."

Zero-G has posed:
Alex is rubbing the back of his head with a frown as he arrives. "My siblings do not give me headaches, my siblings do not give me headaches..." he's muttering to himself as he glances at his phone. "Hey." he greets.

Mon-El has posed:
"Kal wouldn't have..." Lar begins to say, but then stops. "Okay I guess he probably would've done the same thing I did. Still." he shakes his head, sighing again as he looks up at Lyle's comment about Querl. "Honestly I -get- why he's upset. He's upset for the same reason I was upset after Theseus. Not being able to handle difficult family members perfectly. Hell, he even lectured me about it." he groans. "Maybe someone needs to tell him to take his own advice."

He glances over when Alex comes in. "At least your siblings don't try to commit mass genocide on planet or galaxy-wide scales, right?" See, gotta look on the bright side.

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Rokk looks over at the general direction of Lyle, and nods his agreement. "Yeah, that seems to be the normal way he does things. Impossible is just another word." Rokk moves just a bit, so he takes in the whole room now, not just Lar and where he was located.

"Hey there Alex. Good to see you." Rokk says, as Alex arrives right behind Lyle. "We're just chatting." Rokk then returns his gaze to the Daxamite. "See. We still appreciate you fearless leader." The rest of what Mon says, Rokk absorbs but doesn't comment, looking at Lar with concern. "It will all work out. Let's fix what we can fix then."

Zero-G has posed:
"Yeah, you got me there." Alex gives a little bit of an eyeroll. "No, mine just remind me that I promised to babysit because one of them wants to go to the movies on a not a date, whatever that is." he responds with a smirk before he lowers his hand to find something to lean against and listen.

"So who's upset about what tonight?" he asks curiously.

Invisible Kid has posed:
Lyle just sighs, and shrugs at Lar and Rokk.  "It's... complicated, Alex." There's an understatement.  "This is why everyone runs screaming when there's a vacancy in the morale officer post."
He perches himself on a button-free console edge.  "I suppose I'll have to go after Brainy more sooner than later and try to reason with him... although I'm not ruling out a tranquilizer dart and straitjacket."
Good luck trying to figure out if he's joking or not about that...

Mon-El has posed:
"Yeah, 'fearless'." Lar chuckles, shaking his head a bit at Cos' comment. "I just hope I can live up to that."

He looks over at Alex, nodding at Lyle. "Yeah...'complicated' would be an understatement. Basically Brainiac is all furious at himself for wanting to destroy COMPUTO, and thinks he's no longer worthy of our ranks, because he considered COMPUTO to be kind of like his child since he made it. In other words, like I said...not being able to perfectly handle difficult family members. Which is the same issue I had, which he also lectured -me- about. So he could stand to take his own advice."

He arches a brow at Lyle at the straightjacket comment. "Querl needs to understand that no one's perfect, not even himself. He needs to come back after having cooled off and realized this."

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Rokk nods silently at Alex and waves towards Mon El when asked about "who's upset". "Things happened. It is all okay. No one seriously hurt, except for pride and maybe a chin or two." Cos rubs his chin again and smiles. Looking at Lyle, Cos grins and says, "True. It is always complicated though."

A pause. "Wait...we have a morale officer? Tenzil is still in the 31st last I checked." Rokk laughs, softly as a tranquilizer/straitjacket is mentioned. "Keep that in reserve...we may need to use that."

His eyes glance at Lar carefully, and with a straight face, says, "You've done a great job Lar. You are a great leader in a difficult time. You can live up to it, believe me. I have confidence in you." Rokk nods once.

Zero-G has posed:
Reaching up to rub at his forehead, Alex considers the situation. "So Braniac is feeling guilt over both his feelings for COMPUTO and taking responsibility for what COMPUTO did as well?" he asks the others to make sure he has things in place as they should be. "From what I've seen, you've done fine." It's subtle encouragement to Lar as he lowers his hand to fold them in front of them.

"I'm going to need to return home for a bit. Julie's been grumping about the whole me going off and leaving her at home with Katie and Jack and cutting into her shopping time. And that may be a worse issue than COMPUTO." That was an attempt at humor.

Invisible Kid has posed:
"I just like to keep all my options open.  That's important when dealing with -- well, with any of us, really.  We all have our... psychological pressure points," Lyle says diplomatically, not looking at anyone.  "Even someone as fantastically balanced and stable as I am."
Yes, he said that with a completely straight face.

Mon-El has posed:
"No, I don't think we do. But maybe we need to fix that." Lar chuckles, winking at Rokk's question about the morale officer. He smiles at the compliment. "Thanks, Rokk. I appreciate the vote of confidence. It does help."

He laughs amiably at Alex, going along with the joke. "Guess it depends on what this 'Julie' is capable of, huh?"

He peers at Lyle, unsure if Invisible Kid is being sarcastic or if he really is just bragging. Never can tell, with him. Even as advanced as Lar's senses are. Of course, Imra would be a different story.

Cosmic Boy has posed:
Rokk stands up straight, and raises a hand to his friends and teammates. "Well, I need to get some rest before Imra comes in here and kicks my butt to bed after this damn concussion. I'll be up and around later if you all need me."

Looking at Lar and Lyle, "I'll be there for the next steps. Brainy, Computo, whatever comes next. Don't leave me out." With a final look at Alex, Cos's smile returns, and with that, heads out into the hall and towards his quarters.

Zero-G has posed:
"Have a good night, Rokk." Alex offers, and then laughs. "She may be a human girl, Lar, but never doubt how much trouble one of those can cause." he points out in more than a little amusement. "I should be back fairly soon. Quicker if I'm needed. I can you know... float Braniac if I need to. Or try to talk to him." He pushes off the wall he was leaning against and folds his arms across his chest. "Anything you want me to bring back from home?"

Invisible Kid has posed:
"Nah, my favorite junk food won't be invented for another 920 years."  Lyle grins at Alex.  Okay, he's definitely kidding now.
He takes a deep breath and glances out the dome.  "I think I can talk him back, or at least bring him back for a hearing so we can clear him formally and then he won't have an excuse to leave again.  Well, at least I plan to vote to acquit, I don't want to speak for everyone."

Mon-El has posed:
"Later, Rokk." Lar says, nodding as Cos leaves towards his quarters. He chuckles at Alex. "Oh, I don't doubt it. Good luck with that one. And yeah, if he won't listen to any of us, maybe he'll listen to a fresher voice, who knows?"

"I don't think that's the issue, Lyle. He doesn't -want- a hearing and a formal vote. He wants every reason to justify him taking off and not coming back. We just have to talk sense to him." He sighs. "I need some more time to think on it." The Daxamite turns to follow Cos back to the crew quarters. "Night guys."

Zero-G has posed:
"Sometimes, people just need a chance to be alone and recenter. I'm hoping that's the case here." Alex says with a smile to the others. "Well, looks like we're winding down. I'm gonna go ahead and get Friday to take me home. See you guys later." And he smirks at Lyle. "I'll just have to be obnoxious about the snacks I do have!" he retorts as he turns to head out.
