Cast of Characters: Star Shimmer, Huntress

Star Shimmer has posed:
Another part time day of work, completed. Autumn smiles and grabs her paycheck. Not to mention grabbing a few day lilies as hers are starting to get a little... meh. Quietly she makes her way to her home. Of course she is trying to be as normal as possible. Eventually she gets home and puts her lillies in a vase, replacing the older ones.

It really is a nice day. A cool day well cool for summer. Autumn quickly opens the windows and flops down in front of the computer. What could possibly go wrong on such a lovely day?

Huntress has posed:
About a mile or so away, someone else is having a much worse day. Miss Bertinelli is teaching summer school for a bunch of kids who didn't like English the first time, but that isn't really the problem. Last night she was particularly daring, and spent the evening out of costume. She's heard it referred to as a *date*.

It did not go well.

And it's like the kids can sense it, even. "No, Alice, the predicate is where the action happens. It's what the subject does."

Star Shimmer has posed:
As Autumn finally relaxes a little, something feels a bit off. Love... Wounded love. Its not an unfamiliar feeling to her. Its one she knhas been learning all too well. "Welp. Time to go to work." She can feel that it's not far. So Gotham! She quickly shifts her clothing to her Gotham Star Sapphire armor. Then its right out the window.

A few minutes later, she's on the roof of the school. Her belt starts glowing then scanning the building. There. Quickly she changes out of her armor and enters the school. If anyone asks her, She will simply say she is visiting and remeniscing about her time at the school.

Huntress has posed:
The date REALLY did not go well, and in spite of herself Helena keeps replying the details over and over again in her mind. She tries to be clinical, analyzing where things went wrong. Of course she ended up at the guy's apartment, in spite of so many things. And in the end, Helena guesses that her biggest mistake was simply not shooting him when he picked her up.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Here it is. A quick knock on the door to the classroom is given. Autumn pokes her head in. "Umm Hello? What class is this?" She asks curiously. She gives a smile. Helena may recognize Autumn as Donald Reynolds but, She definitely doesn't look a whole lot like the Donald used to.

Huntress has posed:
The knock on the door disrupts everything, but not in a bad way. The distracted class now has something to focus on, and the distracted teacher is pulled out of her funk as well. Head turning at the question, Miss Bertelli's lips pull back into a warm smile at the sight. "This is Summer English, and it's really good to see you again. Autumn."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles and steps in, "Hello, Ms. Bertinelli. Its been a while. Nice to see you." She states with a grin. The young woman practically radiate's love. "Mind if I sit in a little bit?" She asks as she looks at the class.

Huntress has posed:
The class brightens already, and Miss Bertinelli chuckles. "Not at all, Autumn. If you want to, that is. Class, Autumn Reynolds is a former student of mine." And then she returns to the lesson. The distractions seem a lot less important now, among other things.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles a little as she grabs a chair and moves to the back of the class. She is still radiating that love. Her attention is on the class and the teacher. Who is the source? Which person was so hurt. No luck with the students. Ms. Bertinelli though...There is some love issues going on but there is something more. Its something she felt recently...

Huntress has posed:
Helena never really had much of a stable love-life, truth be told. Some of it may be due to her fear of commitment, which a good shrink would tell her all goes back to watching her family being murdered at a young age. She also has horrible taste in men which, when coupled with a soft heart, means she usually ends up doing very wrong things entirely too soon and living with a lot of regret.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn she closes her eyes and it clicks. Yup. Thats her. The person who drew her here is the teacher. She waits for now. The topic being sentance structure. She looks at the Helena and smiles. Raising her hand she smiles waiting for the teacher to call on her. Just like the old days.

Huntress has posed:
Helena's mood has shifted with Autumn's presence, but the darkness is definitely still there. The smile is returned, and when Autumn raises her hand Helena actually calls on her. The class mood picks up as well, and things go a lot more smoothly. Almost too quickly, the bell rings for dismissal.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles and is just about to speak when the bell rings. Then Hurricane English Class commences. Minutes later, the place is empty. "How are you doing, Ms. Bertinelli?" She asks as she stands up and moves closer to the teacher. "Sorry for saying but, you seem really down. Anything you wanna talk about?"

Huntress has posed:
Talk about your love life? To a former student? Helena smiles, and she almost chuckles. But then she moves to close the door. Turning back towards Autumn, she regards the young woman for a moment. She knew Autumn when she was Donald, which somehow changes a lot of things. "I don't suppose you'd be interested in hearing about a bad date, would you? That's not so inappopropriate now that you're no longer one of my students."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles a little bit, "Sounds like a rough one. Also I am all ears." The violet ring on her finger flickers just a little. A glance at that would show the symbol that Nightingale wears on her suit. She leans against the dry erase board getting a little marker on herself. No big deal.

Huntress has posed:
Helena's gaze is distracted by the flicker, and for a moment recognition lights in those blue eyes. "Well to start with, he was a jerk. Mysogynist, is putting it mildly." Sitting on the edge of the desk, she folds her arms over her chest and offers casually. "By all rights I should've shot him on sight."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn winces a little bit. "Sounds like a real piece of shit. Honestly men like that don't deserve to find love. Shooting him? As much as the world would be a better place without that type of creep, He will get his comeupance soon." She smiles a little, "You don't have to feel the way you've been feeling. You will find love and when you do, you'll never want to be rid of it."

Huntress has posed:
Helena tilts her head when the subject of shooting is brought up again. "Oh not with a gun, of course. And I'm quite certain that he'll get what's coming to him. Probably from some crazy, crossbow-wielding vigilante." She seeks Autumn's gaze, then. "You know the type."

Star Shimmer has posed:
"Indeed I do." Autumn smirks a little. Everything fell into place with that line. "Assuming a crazy rookie heroine doesn't get to her first." She snickers. "So, You really didn't kick the guys ass last night?" She whispers, "Huntress?" There is a smile on her face.

Huntress has posed:
There is a flicker of caution in Helena's gaze at the mention of her costumed name, but the purple lips draw into a wry smile anyway. Yeah, the lipstick should be a giveaway. "I slept with him, actually. Did I ever mention what a bad judge of character I am? Nightingale? But I'll probably go out and find him tonight, scare the crap out of him or something just to satisfy my bruised ego."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles a little and nods once. "He'd deserve it. Honestly thats the sort of thing that gets me riled up. In case ya haven't guessed, I'm not a traditional Gotham vigiliante type." She snickers. "Hey, no one's perfect. Was he at least a good lay? I mean, Not some ten second Tom or something right?" She laughs.

Huntress has posed:
Helena rolls her eyes and groans at that, pushing off of the desk with a shrug. "If only..." she replies, then she laughs softly. Stepping closer, she lowers her voice and shakes her head slowly. "You're not going to cure this city with *love*, Autumn."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles, "you might be surprised by what I can do with love." She winks and her ring ignites. A little violet light construct forms. A Yo-Yo! She idly begins yo-yoing with it in a playful manner

Huntress has posed:
Helena laughs at that, tilting her head as she watches the yo-yo bobbing up and down. "I've seen that sort of thing before, only it's usually green." she remarks softly. "But I think this opens up an entirely new line of conversation for us, Autumn."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn snickers, "When in Gotham, I do my best not to use the full extent of what I can do. I try to play it down and play by the Bat's rules. I was born and raised in this city and I want to remain welcome here after all. The fact is, I am a part of the Star Sapphire Corps. I wield Violet light... the light of love. The love inside my fuels my ring allowing me to do crazy stuff. Constructs are just the start." She smiles brightly, "So whats the conversation?"

Huntress has posed:
"Well I'd say you have plenty of love inside if you can fuel that thing after all you've been through." Helena replies softly. The brunette her head, blue eyes bright. "You ever consider going into counselling? Helping women with PTSD and anger issues to find love again?"

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn blinks, "I never thought about that. I mean it would make sense and I am pretty sure I could help. Part of the whole ring thing is being able to feel love or a lack there of. I can feel other emotions but love is definitely the strongest one. Maybe I should do that?" She looks around. "I heard of a school in Metropolis. I would be out of Gotham for a time but, I'd be able to learn the ins and outs of that. I can definitely get in. In fact I'll contact them. Thank you, Ms. Bertinelli." SHe smiles brightly.
