Cast of Characters: Invisible Woman, Stepford Cuckoos

Invisible Woman has posed:
Its a weekend, but there's still work to be had and since Sue has hired 5 new assistants she has plenty of leeway with asking one of them to come for work hours.

There's a big project tomorrow that is being presented publicly and Sue has had to delegate work to Sophie all day. Sending Sophie around the building to deliver things and check on other things to be brought back to Sue. Its been about six hours of this though and Sue's coming to check on Sophie. She's holding a couple of cups of hot coffee for both of them as well, some tastey latte's from the cafe a few floors down.

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"I'm sorry Misses Storm-Richards, I know I was supposed to come back to you as soon as these papers have finished printing, but..." GRUNT!

Sophie goes to kick at the machine with the inside of her foot. "Bryan said this is the best way to make it work faster and it's not even doing anything any more." Sophie says, her hair is disheveled and strands hang loose around her face. The blonde seems almost out of breath too though she's been fighting the printer for at least thirty minutes, like one of the guys from Office Space. "This thing. I think it's true evil."

Invisible Woman has posed:
Sue shows a grin at the young woman's plight and offers her a cup of coffee. "Here, this'll help take the edge off. Or add on to it. One of the two. I'm not really sure which." She'll then sip from her own and look to the copy machine. "Normally I wouldn't like seeing an employee abusing office equipment, but that particular printer is infested with an evil spirit, so I'm told. We called the Ghostbusters home office, but they just told us their base investigation fee was five grand, so... we'll deal with the ghost."

Sue shows a grin to the Cuckoo and then leans a shoulder against the doorframe. "Hows your first day going? Two more hours and you'll be a free woman again."

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"Ghosts aren't..." Sophie pauses and she seems to look into the wall itself as her eyes glaze over for a moment and then they clear back to normal and she squints her eyebrows above her nose. "Are-Are ghosts really real?" She asks Sue directly, sharply and with pure curiosity, but before Sue can answer that, "Oh, it's a lot more stressful than I thought and people seem to be looking at me funnily, like... I sense a lot of malice and envy from those around."

Invisible Woman has posed:
"No, you're attractive, thats why people are looking at you." Sue casually replies with a calm voice as she takes another sip from her cup. "You, and your sisters, do have a bit of an intimidating far-off gaze, but it works for you, so don't fret on that any." Sue glances back out into the hallway as a couple of employees walk past.

"I'm still waiting on that schematics update, Tom." She says to the back of one of them. The man turns around and gives her a casual response about it being 'on the way.'

Sue looks back and lets her smile for Tom fade away, after he walks off she mutters. "Putz..."

She then focuses her gaze on Sophie again. "Youtube says ghosts are real and thats all that really matters any more, right?" She does a little half-smirk before nodding once. "Malice and envy are what make office buildings work. Its like diesel fuel for a semi-truck."

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"I think I understand." Sophie says looking to Sue as the printer starts to hum and then vibrate loudly behind Sophie causing the woman in a charcoal suit to jump and clutch the binders she's holding to her chest as she screams and runs towards Sue as quickly as she can. "I'm not so certain if I believe it or not, but can we call someone?" Sophie asks as she puts her back to Sue so she's between her boss and the possessed printer. "A lot of minds around here seem to think either option of yes ghosts or no ghosts. So I'm not sure where I stand, youtube or not." The girl sounds almost robotic and afraid to make her own conclusion without reading the minds of those around her first.

Invisible Woman has posed:
Sue smirks at the woman rushing toward her. "It won't eat you, Lacy, its just a broken gear in the paper dispenser." She takes another sip of her coffee and then moves to set it down on a nearby table. "I've seen a ghost." Sue says to Sophie while approaching the copier then. She starts to open the machine up with an experienced touch to the proper places. "Once when I was helping the police with a case down near Battery Park. It flew right out of the back of a building when the door was thrown open, it stopped in the alley and just spun around and stared at me. A nasty little thing, four arms, two mouths and beady red eyes."

As the copier comes open, Sue sets parts of it aside and starts to get her hands inside of it to fix it herself.

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"You've actually seen a ghost?" Sophie asks, blinking a few times watching her boss do /her/ job and it takes a moment before it clicks what's happening and slowly, Sophie steps up to the still possibly haunted printer and then she lowers down to rest on her knees and puts her face down near Sue to watch the woman's hands reach into the printer and work expertly.

"Oh. I was afraid to open it and break something. But..." Sophie trails off as she watches Sue work and listen to Sue's mind as she goes about unjamming the Packard and it hits Sophie in that moment as well, "Did- Did you call me Lacy?"

Invisible Woman has posed:
Sue has to release a little laugh. "Yeah, I mean, if that thing I saw wasn't a ghost, then I sure as hell would like to know what it was." She replies as she digs around inside the machine and then there's a pop and a snap and she pulls out a small little plastic wheel. She holds it up and nods her head lightly. "See?" She points at it. "These little cheap ass plastic things? They always break, right there." She motions to a snapped off feeder groove where it clearly broke. Her eyes then go to Sophie. "I promise I won't blame it on people kicking the machine." She states with a smirk.

Sue drops the broken wheel down on the table and reaches for her coffee. "Come on, I'll let you tell the tech guys what to do. Bossing them around is pretty fun." She heads for the door to the hallway again. "And no, Lacey was the one who ran away clutching her magazines that she hides in those folders and thinks I don't know whats actually in there."

Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
"I didn't break it, Bryan told me that's how you fix it." Sophie reiterates as she looks at the plastic sproket and frowns, taking it from Sue's grip and standing back up to her feet.

"Bryan!" Sophie says as she starts to storm out of the room leaving the binders and the printer and her boss on the floor. "Bryan get back her so I can beat you up." She must have picked that up at the mansion.
