Cast of Characters: Doctor Strange, Rogue, Phantasm (Drago)

Doctor Strange has posed:
Whoa be those that befriend the Sorcerer Supreme for these are the times that magic has become like a caged animal. It is nearing its end and the wounded animal lashes out at its attacker. This era of science and technology, the antithesis of magic and mystery. The end of the old ways.

Doctor Strange stands at a nexus of realities, two allies stand behind him not as equals, but as necessary and possibly unwilling combatants. The cloak he wears at his shoulders flap wildly, clinging to the sorcerer's neck in a violent gust. Roaring his words out. "Do not look at the entry way directly. It's akin to looking into the abyss, but much more maddening. Some say it is what was revealled to the world to erase Sodom and Gomorrah." Stephen warns as he moves his hands to the amulet around his neck.

The eye of Agamotto opens against the storms before the trio and as Stephen takes his hands, clasps them over the light of the eye and quickly turns his hands and presses them to the foreheads of his comrades, a third of the eye is implanted in each, giving them a third of the magical sight, allowing them to 'see' the realities of all, but filtered through mystic lenses.

    "We go in!"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had been asked to come and assist the Doctor, so here she is, she was in debt to him. He'd given her that vial for her birthday that allowed her to touch people... even though he also told her to smash it the next day and she still hasn't done that, and the effects have been building up. She'd slept the past 48 hours and only woke up because her stomach was growling so much she was practically starving to death.

Now though, she stands in her black leather jacket with it zipped up to a white scarf wrapped around her neck and her brown and white hair blowing in the Nexus' winds. "Is anything safe t'look at here? Cause frankly, Doc, this is all givin' me a discomfort."

The Belle quips, then stuffs her gloved hands into her jacket's side pockets, she turns to do a full 360 and take in the environment around them all. "So whats the deal? Soemthin' bad tryin' t'get through the intersection'a realities and we need t'punch him, I hope?"

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Well, for once, Nick is not wearing his knitcap. But he's still wearing his jacket. Hair blowing about, Nick lifts up a hand, tugging the wild hair back into a loose pony tail while a third of an eye get ploinked on in.

He's still not sure what he's doing here. He was actually planning on heading back to the pub with the magically delicious steak sandwiches but instead ended up-

Well, it's a long story. He's here now. "I'm not sure what I'm doing here either." Nick admits, closing his eyes but still seeing what's in front of him thanks to the magic googly eye. "Hmm. Seems like a dream."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Likely no Anna Marie, just, don't open your eyes. I don't want to have to carry a salt likeness of you back to the sanctum." Stephen says, turning his head towards the woman and then with a glance back over his other shoulder to Nick the sorcerer smirks "Then you should adapt fast." The wizard notes before he takes a step on the tile floor and towards the impossible door before the trio.

Stephen steps through and is no longer standing but flying, the cloak no longer flaps in the wind but it unfurls with wide slow ruffles as he pushes forward through the space of madness.

The planetoids stand uselessly and grassy bridges between the horizons of improbability seem to wrinkle and stretch as though they were worms. The gapes of blinking eyes that devour scatterings of rocks and Saturn like rings surround bellies without limbs. There are what seem like gaps even in this realities to other worlds and realms that last for the briefest moments just out of the visible worlds that just as quickly vanish when no longer in periphrial vision.

Stephen looks over his shoulder at his own reality towards Rogue and Nick. "Nick, there's something in here and I need your help finding it. Anna, you're obviously the muscle but you also possess part of the eye, the extra vision will be required."

Rogue has posed:
"I don't trust myself. I should warn both of you'a that." Rogue syas then as she takes her scarf up and starts to tie it around her brow-line so it covers her eyes up. "Will this work? I'm pretty salty, but I'm salty about a variety'a things all'a which are completely unrelated t'this freakshow of a place."

She continues to look about though, and uses her own flight power to follow after Stephen. She gives a glance over to Nick, then back to the Doctor. "Ya know, Doc, we could just do some psychedelic shrooms sometime and stay on the comfortin' embrace of a nice sofa. We don't gotta go t'all this trouble t'end up in places like this."

Rogue adjusts her flight to look around at the scenery with this... third eye. Because well, it is quite a strange experience, and those puns are getting very old.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Like a dream...

Fixing upon that thought, Nick follows after Strange, floating along after Strange as he crosses through. He pauses, considering this before giving a weak smile. Ok yes. Like a dream...

Hearing his name the performer shakes his head, turning so his third eye can focus on Strange, "Oh? And what is it you're looking for?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I trust you." Stephen says, not something he will openly tell everyone but his voice is firm and it's obvious he's speaking truthfully. Plus he's seen Rogue at her lowest and he thinks he helped her get to her highest. "You shouldn't hang out with Janet so much." Stephen says with a look over his shoulder as he pushes deeper and deeper into the unplace.

"I'm not so sure... But I feel we'll all know it when we see it." The wizard reports with a frown as he keeps looking about, a beam of light coming out of each of their foreheads, the light of Agamotto illuminating their line of sight and washing away any illusions and secrets, revealing truth. It is the nature of Agamotto.

"I would suggest splitting up, but..." Stephen looks back and frowns, "That's a terrible idea."

Rogue has posed:
"We'll know it when we See it." Rogue repeats as she grins beneath the white scarf that is draped around her face now. "I swear I feel like I'm bein' punked here." She keeps flying through and as she sweeps to the side to catch up with the Doctor on his right side she shakes her head. "I ain't splittin' up here. No way, I'm barely inta the new year and I've already been across the universe in the blink've an eye, then had to 'acquire' a ship t'get back here. I've seen stuff so far this year that I don't even fully know how t'process it all."

There's a light huff from the Belle then. "So yeah, I ain't strayin' off and gettin' lost in this Museum'a Madness." She snaps her head to the right when she thought she saw something, now expecting to be attacked by some kind of interdimensional monsters at this point.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick drifts along in the percieved current of the void, feet staying pretty still despite such positioning being the type to encourage swimming motions.

The slightly stubbling musician cocks his head to the answer Strange gives. Well, that's not descriptive at all. "Alright. Just- be prepared for a lot of false positives until the 'know for sure' feeling pops up."

He sighs, turning his head to at least look in a slightly different direction than the others to cover more ground.

...

"I spy... with my wee magic eye...Something red."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Red?" Stephen asks looking back towards Nick and then in the direciton he's looking and there's a "Oh... you mean me." Stephen says with a frown towards the musician and then he looks back to his front. "Just pay attention." Stephen says.

Not long the trio would pass over a asteroid/planetoid/living creature that was floating through the nothingness, Stephen would keep his eyes scanning forwards while far below there is a forrest world/sphere that seems to be a series of trees rooted to a large single clump of dirt and yet, the leaves of one tree are burning. The smoke however off the tree seems to spell out a word, but it's not english, but it's obvious it's not natural.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue listens to the two men gabbing on like gabby men do, but she uses her magic eye to look down and see that gnarly rocky tree forest world. "Far out." Rogue mutters then. "What is that?!" She asks while getting a little more randomly bold (as Rogue's do) and she flies down to swoop above the tree line to get a closer look with her magic eye taking in the sights of it all.

"This is wild, even for me! And I helped a talkin' monkey buy an African Jazz record the other day!" Rogue calls out back to Strange and Nick. "Is this what we're here for?" She really has no idea, she's just the muscle here and the muscle hasn't found nothing to punch yet.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick turns his head away from the flappy cape. "I am," mutters the musician as he continues his floating. Glance drifing down towards the other things following suit. "Was the monkey a chimpanzee who likes beer?" Nick asks curiously, still skimming around.

At Rogue's question, he looks over to her and then to what she's looking at. "So, something blue down there... Somethinging pink to the right of us. and something green to the left."

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange doesn't notice Rogue veering off until she yells up at them. Dang that seems farther than it was for Rogue. Took her a few seconds flight to get there but when she looks up, they're like, half a mile away, maybe more. The nexus of realities doesn't much seem to be kind to those of flesh and corporealness.

"And I'm stuck in the middle with you." Stephen says to Nick before he aims his head down and starts to soar towards Rogue.

At the firely forrest-oid, the fires lick down the trunk of the one tree it consumes and yet, the whole thing turns again, it seems it is still writing through the non-space by some force and yet, there's a scent of familiarity tickling Rogue's nose, then a presense pushes at the girl's shoulders a feeling she's felt but... A girl wearing black leather steps around the back of the trunk with the fires above and she looks up towards Rogue, her firelike hair falling to her shoulders and she slowly grins at the x-man.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue glances up to see Strange and Nick are small specks in the sky, relatively, but their voices sound like they're not even that far away. "Hey--" But her response to them is cut off when she feels the presence of that person before she even sees her. Its been awhile since she saw her, in a warehouse fight that took place in the outskirts of Gotham...

"Son of a bitch." Rogue gasps, then adds with a shake of her head. "Nope, no kids, just the Bitch herself."

In a likely ill-advised move, Rogue starts to fly toward the fiery haired woman, with the intent of punching her! "Been lookin' for you, ready t'go a around or two?!" She calls out to the woman - and now her new target for being punched!

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
"Hey there are worse people to be stuck with." Nick points out. As Strange moves down, Nick gives another glance to the pink and green objects before making a diving motion with his hands.

Almost Super-esque.

Ok fine he stole the posture but what's he going to do? Sue him?

The hands move back to his side causing for him to speed up. Dream logic.

Huzzah.

Doctor Strange has posed:
The woman holds up her hands in a flash and a bubble of pink to yellow to blue surrounds her and it absorbs Rogue's punch with ease. The impact causes a ripple that goes around the outside of the sphere and contracts on the opposite side before rebounding and swarming back towards Rogue with a WHUMPH into the mutant's fist and causes the belle to tumble backwards. Norya lifts a hand towards Rogue, raises her pointer finger and rocks it back and forth.

Stephen is still zooming towards Rogue, though Nick is certainly faster and will get there before the wizard. "Move faster Nick. Help her." Stephen orders.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had thrown a punch at this woman before and it hadn't gone so well, but this Belle doesn't take no for an answer and she'll keep testing the fences to see if there's a weakness, likely until she herself is downed or defeated. She's a scrapper after all. But, yet again, she's turned away by the energy bubble that Norya produces and it sends the southern gal tumbling backward in the sky where she falls a little out of control for a moment before she does a full backward somersault and ends up flying upward again.

"Doc. I know this lady. She's been harassin' the X-Men for quite some time now! She's strong... Not sure how t'fight her!" Rogue admits before she starts to fly forward again, making sure to stay on her 'toes' so to speak, ready to dodge any attacks this lady might send her way. Is she even real? Is this the real deal or just some part of this strange dimension manifested to confuse and trick?

Who knows!

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Nick nods, eyes narrowing as his form starts shifting, with the fledgling scruff upon his face the transition to the mirror image is easier to monitor before the form shifts once more. If the transition was necessary for the speed, that's up in the air but as the visage of a raven takes place and the wings flap upon nothingness, it seems to do something.

The feathery missle shoots across the sky, seeming even closer when the speed upped as it barrels down towards the back of the woman's head. And to make this all the more impressive.

...

This is honestly the quietest Nick has been the whole trip.

Doctor Strange has posed:
The woman is focused entirely on Rogue, seemingly unaware of Strange and the Phantasm, so as Rogue come soaring back in, the bubble is dropped and Norya crosses her arms, the woman's hair begins to glow from the under cut and flairing with mystical life when ... a bird passes through the back of her head, out of her face and the woman stutters.

No physical damage but then they're not really on a physical plane. She goes crosseyed for a moment as she lifts up her hand to her face and spreads her fingers out to try and count them but they keep spreading, away, and away. Her palm doesn't seem to exist as they keep spreading and branching away from her wrist even until her pinky and thumb touch her elbow.

This is when Rogue slams into the woman, a punch so hard it can be heard echoing through the filled void of the nexus. Norya tumbles through the emptyness until she slams into a bridge made of pure yellow, like Dorothy's road but floating in space between two impossible places. "Get her out of here!" Yells a voice behind the two, Strange clasps his wrists together, hands held palm flat to the combatants as a point glows and then widens into a large circle, another hole in reality but this one much more stable, on the other side, darkness, empty and lifeless. Not part of the nexus it seems.

Rogue has posed:
That might've been the most satisfying punch Rogue's ever delivered an enemy, and she's used a giant saw-blade to hit a Sentinel with too. When she sees Norya going tumbling back she swoops up like a Nike-swoosh and then pauses in mid air and grins, watching Norya tumble through the magic eye on her brow. "Suck it!" She shouts back to the woman who slams into that golden bridge. "You want another, ya know where t'find me!" The Belle keeps taunting.

At least until she hears Strange's voice and then looks to that dark portal that had opened up, is that a portal? She's not really sure...

Marie's eyes go back then to Nick, then to Strange. "Get her out of here? Take her in there?" Rogue asks, then looking over to Nick to see what his play is in all of this.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Whee! After passing through the woman, the bird's path arcs upwards before corkscrewing back towards the woman, rollercoastering along as he makes adjustments for Rogue's impressive hit.

The feathery missle speeds up, balling up at the last second to smack into Norya, focusing all Nick's strength into shoving her towards the portal.

Doctor Strange has posed:
The balled up bird missile would pass through the woman and bounce off the bridge. Something's rather odd about her as she doubles over where Nick passed through her twice and she turns to vomit from the impact of the bird and she does empty her stomach, though instead of the normal orange yellow color, it's a vibrant green that lands on the yellow brick bridge and smoke starts to steam off the isthmus.

The portal now above her off the bridge keeps getting wider and wider, and reality seems to trickle in in strands and branches with flashes of lightning across the gap sporadically.

"ROGUE!" Stephen shouts as he grits his teeth and keeps holding the portal open with immense strength of will.

Rogue has posed:
Nick's got some interesting powers, Rogue internally notes beofre she gets the jist of whats being said here. "Okay, okay!" She leans forward and manipulates the gravitational pull around her body to send her flying toward Norya again! When she sees the green vomit on the golden road she has to grimace at the nastiness, even if those two colors happen to be her favorite colors.

"Come here, you!" Rogue says as she tries to grab Norya from behind by her arm pits! She tries to hook her gloved hands up under the woman's arms and then lift her toward the portal. "Lets see how ya fly!" Rogue shouts as she throws the woman toward the open portal that seems to be created by Strange himself!

"Bye now!" She adds after releasing her!

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
BOINK!

Bouncing off the bridge, the raven flips his body, dropping before flinging out his wings again, turning his head to look towards the woman again. When he gets eye contact with her, he manages the creepiest unatural smile a raven has ever smiled.

He has teeth. Perfect car salesman teeth.

The horror.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Norya is too busy loosing her lunch and fighting the worst headache of her life and she's suddenly being dragged by the skunk haired woman towards the edge of the long, supportless bridge and is easily tossed over where she floats a brief moment before Strange twists his left hand and a vaccuum force sucks in the woman.

"Get away quickly!" Stephen shouts as a single brick starts to lift out and fall into the hole as Stephen is working on closing it. "Get back to me and then go back towards the Sanctum." Stephen says, knowing the eye in their foreheads will certainly lead the way with a breadcrumb like trail.

Rogue has posed:
After throwing the fire haired witch, Rogue has a self confident smirk on her face before she uses that magical third eye to look to Strange. "Not sure how or what just happened, Sugah, but I trust ya." She quips to him and then she looks to Nick. "As for you, whatever it is you did t'her, I'm in your debt, cause it let me finally punch her effin' lights out!"

Rogue turns then, leans forward and starts to bee-line it back in the direction she knew the slip-gate was to get back to the Sanctum... or at least where she remembers it being located.

Phantasm (Drago) has posed:
Well, at least it's not the Phantasm's appearance that's causing the nausea. Smile going away quickly after the woman goes into the hole, the bird's wings spread as he starts flying alongside Rogue, acting as a pace buddy while gradually increasing the pace.

"Guess she's allergic to birds." The three eyed raven replies, twisting his form to fly upside down, glancing back to make sure Strange is following.
