Bad pennies and Homework Don't Mix!
Date of Scene:	06 February 2020
Location:	Gotham University, South Point
Synopsis:	Buffy rushes to turn in a late term paper, and bumps into an old rival..

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers is running through the halls..Okaaay, to be fair she is speed-walking through the halls, a completed term paper clenched tightly in one hand as she tries to remember where the heck Professor Strange's office is.."Darnit, I can't believe I'm lost, this place is way too big and all the rooms look the same.." she sighs as she counts down the office doors. "Ummm 21--Something wasn't it? Argh, I hope he doesn't leave soon!" cuz it's late. And she's late. And it's a whole late fest and she can't help it if she's often late due to uninvited intruders of the demonic kind...Grr..

Cheetah has posed:
Barbara-Ann Minerva strolls purposely down the hallway. Like a wizard, Barbara-Ann is never late nor is she ever early; she arrives precisely when she means to. She's headed to Office 25. Two. Five. It's not /that/ hard of a number to remember...

Hugo Strange has posed:
Hugo looked over the report his his henchman gave him about Wonder Woman. He had his men try to rob a jewlery store in order to draw her out. Of course, this was a failure and all but one of his men got arrested. But, he did get some insight into WW's personality. He is curently making arrangements to begin his second test. Suddenly, Aristotle, his blue quaker parrot, started to squack. Hugo chcukled to himself and started to feed his bird while saying,

"Here you go my pretty. Daddy will take you home soon."

He then sat back down and began to grade more term papers. One, of course, was missing. Hugo sighed as he thought about Buffy Summers, his tardy student. The young woman had potential, but she was often late to classes and late to turn in assgnments. Hugo had hoped she would apply herself and get her term paper on term. But, she haden't. Hugo looked at his clock and said," I will be leaving in five minutes, Miss Summers better be here by then or else i will fail her,"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith is here meanwhile looking for Buffy. Not that he is mad or anything, but he had planned to meet with her for a late lunch (early dinner) and she'd texted him that she had to run this errand. So rather then wait on her... and since he'd had the white Porche out anyway, Well why not swing on by. Besides he likes Collages... It's like an all you can eat buffet... and just because one is dieting doesn't mean you can't enjoy looking.

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Dammit....Where is his offfice!? 2...2......25!.!" oh! That's it! She only realized it when that familiar woman stepped out, and she quickens her pace, breaking out into a run when she glances at her watch to notice that she has less than five minutes to get there..."Nonono..lAlmost there...." and then she practically bumps into Barbara, not enough to knock her over but enough to let go of her unbound papers, sending them flying. "Ohh...Noooo! I'm sooo sorry, that was totally my fault.." she kneels to the floor, hastily gathering up her sheets, not really having noticed exactly WHO she just bumped into.

Cheetah has posed:
How does one NOT notice Barbara-Ann Minerva? The nerve! The combined affront of peasant-to-princess contact followed by a blizzard of (likely badly composed) term papers stops Barbara in her tracks. She hisses, "What on earth?" Peering down, she espies the paper piled around her (expensive) high-heels and the back of Buffy's head as the young lady attempts to collect them. Barbara makes no attempt to assist with this; she merely glares at the back of Buffy's head. Wait...hasn't she seen the back of that head somewhere before?

Hugo Strange has posed:
Hugo hears the collision from outside his office and opens his office door a bit and peers out. He sees Buffy Summers collecting her scattered term papers and Miss Minerva, her "employer" looking over her. Hugo just sighs and closes his door, his parrot squacking as he did. He was not gonna get involved.

Thomas Raith has posed:
It's probably best not to wonder why Thomas is able to home in on Buffy as easily as he does. Still he comes around the corner in time to see the collision and see Buffy's term paper get scattered. He gives an amused smile and then walks over, "Now if you were just going to throw that around like that, I don't know if I'd have let you have last night off." he says and nods casually to the other girl as he kneels to help Buffy clean up her paper.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers blinks as she sees him suddenly there and just like that her day got a *whole* lot better.Except that she looks like a mess again, and he looks perfect. "Um..Thomas! I didn't think you'd come so soon.." she flushes, feeling so silly and awkward around him, but thankful for his help as she climbs to her feet, picking up the papers and filing them up all nice and tidy before clipping them together with the binder clip that had slipped of. "Phew, I'm really sorry, I was just trying to get in there before Professor Strange left and..." Oh. It's that annoying woman again. She narrows her eyes. "Oh. What are *you* doing here?" oh wait, there's the professor, but he's gone again! "No wait! Professor! I've got my paper here! I'm so sorry it was late, I had another emergency come up, but I did finish it in time..." with like, one minute to spare...She knocks urgently on the door, hoping he will have mercy on his poor tardy student..

Cheetah has posed:
Barbara-Ann's gaze bounces from Thomas, to the blink-an-you'll-miss-it appearance of Hugo (whom she had been on her way to see for purely legitimate and in no way nefarious purposes), before locking eyes with Buffy. "Me? What are you do---"

Before Minerva can finish the thought, Buffy adds insult to injury by forgoing her further attention in favor of mewling at Hugo's door. Upon review, perhaps it would be better if Minerva and Hugo were not, in any manner, linked. Barbara decides to reschedule her meeting with the good doctor -- outside of regular office hours.

As Thomas approaches and Buffy wheedles at Hugo's doorstep, Minerva takes her cue and quietly slinks away and down the corridor. Over her shoulder, she spares Buffy one quick, withering glance and mutters under her breath, "Bad penny."

Hugo Strange has posed:
Hugo Strange heard Buffy banging on his door. He sighes and opens it and looks down on his tardy student with a emotionless face. He then says," Come in Miss Summers."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith hands Buffy the last of the papers that he had picked up and smirks slightly at her. "Knock him dead." He says with encouragement, reaching over and giving her arm a light and reassuring squeeze. "I'll wait for you here." He promises his eyes following the other girl curiously, head tilting as she tries to make a discreet exit.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers tries to ignore the annoying woman, focusing her attention on Professor Strange. "Thank you sir. It'll only take a second.." she glances apologetically at Thomas Before stepping in, handing Strange the paper, giving him a slight smile but leaves the door open. "Thanks, I'll make this quick." she glances at the professor. "Professor Strange, I really did do my homework, and I worked really hard on this and I put a lot of thought into it. Heck, I was up all night working on it. Thomas here actually really helped me with discussing the topic and I came up with some really insightful theories.." well...Okay, that probably wasn't his intention but he sure inspired her paper. In many ways. And in fact her paper is quite good and written with a lot of passion, if a little bit cynical in places. The topic of course, being the psychology of love.

Hugo Strange has posed:
Hugo grabs the paper and closes the door on Buffy, the sounds of his parrot echoing off the halls as he did. After what seemed like hours, he came back out and handed over Buffy's paper. On it was a red 95, technically an A. Hugo looks up and says, "It is a well-constructed paper Miss Summers. But, i expect you to be on time in the future, that's why you have a 95 instead of a 100. You have potential Miss Summers, i would hate for you to sqaunder it."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith looks a little annoyed at the man's treatment of his...employee... but keeps his opinion to himself. No point in antagonizing someone who obviously has such a powerful position in her life. Instead he just stands there quietly....

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers waits impatiently as he looks over her paper, uncertain if he will be generous, as she has never received above a B- in his class. Especially on an important paper worth 45 percent of her grade. When he finally returns - With a 95 percent no less, Buff is way beyond ecstatic. "Wow really?! That's so awesome!" Phew maybe she won't fail Psyche afterall. She beams at the compliment. "Thanks Professor, Don't worry, I'll work extra hard next time and no more late papers for me!" yay, time for her to celebrate!
