Synopsis: Karrin Murphy comes to investigate rumors about Club Mjolnir on behalf of SPECTRE
Cast of Characters: Hela, Karrin Murphy

Hela has posed:
Being mid-day it's rather slow at the moment, so there aren't nearly as many patrons as on packed nights. Elle is sitting at the bar, sipping from a drinking horn, while looking, or rather reading, the Eddas woven into the tapestries. There are some scattered group of people at some of the long tables, holding discussion with friends over drinks and food.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Add one to the patron number. Karrin's strolling in, all five feet of the cop, dressed in plain clothes. Alright, plain for her unit, that is. She's five feet on the dot, got her weapon unde rher jacket, badge around her neck, and a certain style. She's working on a case, but came here to find out if the rumors about the club were true. So she wanders in, looking curious at the decor and makes a beeline for the bar.Pulling the badge around her neck she asks who is in charge here. Not a typical can I speak to your manager. Karrin. Not Karen....so murph wants to sit down over a meal and some soft drinks (yeah like this place does that...) to do some investigating.

Hela has posed:
Elle looks curiously at the woman flaunting a police badge walking into her bar, as casually as she is, her eyes tracing Karrin all the way until she sits next to her at the bar. Swiveling in her seat until she faces Karrin, Elle slowly raises her left hand, "I would be the one in charge, is there a problem you'd like to report?" Standing at about 5' herself, she peers at Karrin from eye level, both sharing a levelled seating.

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph smiles. O"h no no nothing like that. I was just followin a lead is al and wanted to check if the rumors on the club are true" she explains, accent altering her wordds a bit. "So what's on the bar today?"

She's fully expecting sarcasm, or a straight answer, or, or, something, but she won't drink on duty, and after her last remark while several beers in....ya, she's considering giving it up entirely.

So she nods to Miracle Elle, and looks friendly enough. "You are?" she adds. "I'm Karrin Murphy, I work for SPECTRE" she says simply.

Hela has posed:
"I was unaware there were rumors circulating about my club, care to share them with me...?" Elle asks, her tone sounding far from amused. "We have a full Scandinavian selection, I would recommend the mead. Of course there's some American fare as well, and soft drinks. If you'd care for a bite, I would steer towards the Scandinavian portion, a burger would just be a waste."

"Elle Quinn, also known as Miracle Elle, as the media dubbed me." Elle looks entirely unfazed at the mention of SPECTRE and merely quips, "what does SPECTRE do?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin smiles "Of course, it's essentially supernatural investigations and policing" Karrrin explains, "Oh, you have Scandinavian food? What would you suggest for a first time? I'll take a soft drink, I'm on duty so I can't drink anything alcoholic" she nods looking over the bar.

"Ah rumors. Links with the Kingpin" Murph says. "But" she adds holding up a hand. "There's no proof. None at all to link any of the rumors to facts" she nods.

Hela has posed:
"Ah...a supernatural police force, there's a novel idea," Elle speaks as if she didn't earn her fame on very supernatural grounds, considering how she warded off the Black Sleep. "I would recommend a delectable mushroom and cheese dip served with toasted bread. You'll love it."

When told more about the rumor, Elle arches a puzzled brow, "Kingpin? I never heard of such a man," but with a shrug she adds, "if you like to look more into the business side of things, I would point you at Wilson Fisk, the man who arranged for me to run this club. He's a really smart guy, only one who managed to convince me to leave Norway."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph nods. "Oh yes please, I'll take that and a soda. See, that sounds smart opening up a club. I like the decor" Murph adds, unusual as it is definitely different.

"Sure I'll take those toasted bread and dips, yeah plese" she says ith a nod, looking to Elle. Looking over to her again, then around the club, Karrin smiles.

Watching everyone else, Murph smiles.

"You know I need to do my job and investigate rumors. Personally, I feel like it's a load of crap" Karrin admits. She's not wanting to look into it any time soon without a fine reason.

Hela has posed:
"It serves a two fold purposes, on the one hand, it's different and set to bring people together," Elle explains as she motions at the row of long communal tables that force strangers to be in close proximity when the place is more crowded. "On the other, it's educational, everything revolves around the Eddas, around Viking culture. So people can learn while here, if they pay attention." She then motion at the picture perfect replica of Mjolnir hanging over the bar, "of course, the club's namesake is here to behold. Seeing how Thor, God of Thunder is something of a celebrity, that's a draw too."

"It very likely is, I never heard of any Kingpin in relation to my club."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Karrin listens attentively, nodding a few times. "See. I like this, I like the decor, the theme. If I wasn't working I'd enjoy mead" she says wistfully. She shakes her head and looks like she's missing out. EEven though food and drink got ordered. She's still kind of longing for mead in a way.

Looking over to Elle, Karrin nods. "Believe me, I don't put much stock in all this. But. Got a job to do. So" Karrin says with a shrug.

Looking over the club again Murph grins a little. "See if more places had style, new York'd be a fun city"

Hela has posed:
"It is quite excellent here, I find most Americans have never even tried mead at all, so occasionally we do give out free samples," Elle offers, in a way of inviting Karrin to try the place while off duty. "Good luck in your pursuit," Elle offers quite genuinely, before grinning at the compliment, "I appreciate the kind words, I really care about my club, so I try my best. Introduce a new culture and style to people...most seem to like it."

Karrin Murphy has posed:
Murph grins. "Yeah I heard it's good. See I wish more people would decorate like this honestly. It's definitely unique. I like it" she admits with a nod waiting on her food. Looking over to Elle, she laughs. "Thanks, it's like a breath of fresh air. All I got at work is offices and normal things. Step in here, it's like stepping into Norway and a Viking bar" she nods sagely. "Yeah, not holding my breath though on the whole digging for info thing. It's more chasing things and hearsay and whispers" Karrin admits with a groan.

Hela has posed:
"It's also more authentic than you'd expect," Elle continues to hype her club, "Thor himself approved of it. Said it felt like home." The meal is promptly served to Karrin, ooey gooey, mushroom and cheese in a rich sauce, with pieces of toasted bread to dip in and gather the mushrooms. "It makes for a unique place to work at, that's for sure, but I doubt I could have worked anywhere else."

"I hear a tone of aggravation in your voice? Have you not had much success following hearsay and whispers...?"

Karrin Murphy has posed:
"None" Murph says nearly grinding her teeth. "See the more you explain it to me, the more I like it. So" Murphy grins a little. Dipping bread in the sauce she chews quietly. "Seee, if Thor approves of it, then..." she says simply with hands smeared in sauce.

Hela has posed:
"It must be good," Elle concludes with a smile, before gesturing at the plate, "enjoy your meal, I have to attend to some business in the office. If you need anything, ask Henrik at the bar," she motions to the bartender, before nodding politely, "have a good day, Ms. Murphy."
