A Meeting at Mac's
Date of Scene: 19 February 2020
Location: McAnally's Pub
Synopsis: Buffy meets Amethyst, who is looking for Dresden.
Cast of Characters: Buffy Summers, Amethyst

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers wasn't all that keen on Mac's, mostly because it's a favorite hangout of Harry's and he has a tendency to blow up stuff. She'd much prefer the Blue Lady. But of course she's been looking for Harry to get a report on her latest request and so far she hasn't been able to reach him at the office. So she steps into the pub, peering around nervously, clutching her newest cellphone protectively to her chest. "Heya Mac, how goes?" she calls cheerfully to the quiet Bartender who merely grunts in response as she sits at the bar, ordering a coffee.

Amethyst has posed:
Amethyst makes her own arrival. She's in decidedly "normal" attire as given to her by Mary, so she looks a lot more like a college girl than a fantasy princess. Skinny jeans, ankle boots, and a purple t-shirt. She looks around, with a sigh. Like someone who's been looking all over for a person who /apparently/ has never heard of a cell phone. So she starts up towards Mac, and thus, starting in the same direction as Buffy. "Excuse me...I'm looking for a Mr. Harry Dresden? I've heard he's here often?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers blinks, glancing over at Amethyst. To be honest, she probably wouldn't be surprised to see a fairy princess waltzing in, but as it is, she's seen enough supernatural types casually hanging out in a decidedly supernatural bar as is. But Amethyst looks normal enough at least. She smirks and nods to her. "Heh, you too huh. He sure is good at hiding when he wants to." Buffy sighs, flexing her fingers, "Looks like he just left though. Are you a potential client of his?"

Amethyst has posed:
"He's impossible to find! Who doesn't have a cell number in this day and age!?" Amethyst says, exasperatedly. "I've been to his office, he's never there. And yes, hopefully. He was the only wizard in the phone book." She smiles a little, frazzled. "You know him?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smirks and shrugs, sipping her coffee. "Heh, you got me. He DOES have a rotary phone though, and a business card. Unfortunately, he's very old fashioned and for good reason, I suppose.." she sighs, searching around in her pockets and producing a business card, sliding it over to Amethyst. "Here, he always hands out extras and I only needed one. Hope this helps." as for knowing him, Buffy just shrugs and chuckles, "I suppose I do. Not sure if we're really friends..More like acquaintances. But his girlfriend and I are only like, BFFs, so that's something."

Amethyst has posed:
Amethyst sighs a little. "Nothing different there than his ad, sadly." But she'll take the card and pocket it. "Well, it's something. If you're BFFs with his girlfriend, you'd probably have heard about it by now if he's an unreliable jerk. I'm Amy, by the way. Do you mind if I leave you my number? If nothing else, maybe you can pass it to her to pass to him?"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers nods, "Hey, what's your name? Are you looking for help on a case? I can pass your info along to Harry if you like?" and when given, she smiles and nods, "Nice to meet you, I'm Buffy." she grins, "Sure, I'd love to give him your number. He can be a busy guy at times I suppose, given his work and all.

Amethyst has posed:
Amy grabs a bar napkin and takes a pen from her pocket, jotting down a number. "That's my cell number...please just do what you can to let him know. In fact..." She writes it out on a second, and gives it to Mac as well.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smiles and nods, taking the number. "Sure, I'll pass it along, got any messages for him or just, 'Hi my name is Amy. Call me!'?" she smirks as she says that, apparently a smart alec, but at least she's polite?

Amethyst has posed:
"Well, it sounds weird, but...I need someone who knows about magical history. And no, I'm not crazy." Amy smiles a little wanly. "So, yeah. If you think telling him that works, yay. If not, then "My name is Amy, call me." works just as well. Add "I pay well." She grins a little more real smile at that.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers oohs, "Magical history, huh? I guess he'd be a good person for that then, being an expert wizard and all..Just be careful about bringing any electronics near him.." she smirks, clearly speaking from personal experience. "No, I don't think you're crazy. To be honest, I'm not a very magically inclined individual myself, but I'm sure he can help you with whatever it is." the paying well part catches her attention and she chuckles a bit. "Ooh, I'm sure he'd be happy to hear that last part. He's been pretty desperate for well paying cases lately." she yawns, climbing to her feet, "Unfortunately, I gotta get to class, but i'll be sure to pass along your message. Nice meeting you, Amy!"
