Cast of Characters: Saoirse Flynn, Marvel Girl

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse is sitting in a booth with a donut in her hand, happily chewing away at it. Opposite of her is a woman of similair shape, except for large bulky arms and even 'hippier' than the hipsy Saoirse. Family resemblance? The partner wears a snug pair of jeans and a long-sleeved leather jacket buttoned up with snug gloves on. "Geeze Saoirse, you can always eat can't you?" The accent is Irish-American, with a twist to the english. "Yup!" Saoirse explains. A shrug and the companion gets up "Gonna hit the restroom." She eyeballs the woman, then heads to the back out of sight. Saoirse waves after "Have a good toliet break!" A hand slapped to the companion's head.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel makes her way into the donut shop. She's using a little bit of her power to mask her facial scars; it's best to not freak out the normal people. She moves up towards the counter, the redhead ordering a coffee and a jelly donut. The accents get her attention a bit, and she looks over that way; thick Irish isn't something you hear too often in upstate New York.

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse waves to Rachel "Hi!" she calls over with a smile. "I've got a donut..oh, now you've got one too!" She stands..no, makes that floats up a few feet and just sort of begins to..slowly meander-float towards Rachel. "Mine is a cake donut, there's nothing in mine. That's because I like them kinda crunchy. When it's a cake donut. Now when it's a jelly donut like yours, crunchy would be kind of gross there." She slowly spins as she nears so she's about 3 feet from the ground, perfectly level horizontally and completely upside down. (Though her hair doesn't fall towards the floor). "I'm Saoirse. Hi.'"

Marvel Girl has posed:
The floating definitely catches her attention. "Uhh...I /probably/ wouldn't do that in the open if I were you?" Rachel says, half-statement and half-question. "People tend to freak out about mutants." Which is, of course, her assumption is to what Saoirse must be. "I'm Rachel."

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse shrugs her shoulders "Well, they know me pretty well around here. Mostly because of my sister. She's part of a anti-super training program with the military. I'm not though. I'm just an everyday donut seeker, just like you!" She slowly spins in a circle at the rate of about 1 degree per second roughly. "So what kind of jelly did you get? Did you get grape? Or Raspberry? Sometimes there's Strawberry too. Hee, wouldn't it be weird to get a peanutbutter and jelly filled donut? Oh, and well..I support people being who they are, if they are a mutant, they should be a mutant. And be happy about being a mutant. Well maybe not happy. But comfortable. So since I support that I need to be comfortable in who I am too."

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel doubletakes. "You...are really energetic." Possibly crazy? "And I think it's strawberry. Could be raspberry. It's red, anyway. So, if you're not a mutant, how are you making with the floaty?"

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse tilts her head, looking at a particuarly strange angle as she ever so slowly spins. "Am I? Well, that's probably true. I babble a lot. I'm what you would call an extrovert, where all my thoughts and feelings just blublublub right out of there." The people don't seem to pay Saoirse much mind - probably used to her by now. "I'm using gravity manipulation to float about because I don't walk very well." She considers the woman a few moments. "Would you like a bite of my donut? Then you can try two donuts!"

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel laughs at that. "I actually was wondering HOW you're using gravity manipulation. And what kind of donut do you have?" She honestly hasn't paid a whole TON of attention to the other woman's donut, since the whole "floating" thing is definitely taking priority over most of the mundane things. "And I'd definitely agree with the extrovert thing."

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse hmmns "By manipulating gravimetric fields." Answered simply enough like it's just a normalcy to her. She offers over the donut with two clear bites out of it. A simple yet crunchy (and soft inside) plain cake donut. "I see you have a bit of an ouchie. I had one like that once, though it was kinda worse. All burned and such. But after a few years of therapy I was able to heal from it, but it took a long time to get over. Learning how to talk again was just the worst!"

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel frowns a little. "An ouchie? What are you talking about?" Now she's gotten curious, and she'll reach out mentally to try and start probing into Saoirse's mind a bit. Just a look around, as it were.

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse mind is sort of present, sort of not. It's not easy to decipher, but leaves a hell of a lot of noise if you manage to connect, like thousands of modems screaming directly into your brain. Her brainwaves are largely chaotic data signals. She reaches out to touch Rachel's scar with the tips of her fingertips (And she's holding the donut with the same hand." This one."

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel backs off a couple steps, to not be touched, and winces a little, closing her eyes as she draws her mental presence back. "You're a robot?" She looks, to put it mildly, freaked right the hell out. Rachel has a bad history with robots.

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse blinks and continues to hold out the donut "No really, you can have a bite!" She blinks against and goes vertical, slowly dipping down to touch her feet on the ground, looking a little unsteady as she wobbles. "Kind of, and not really. I am a previously seriously disabled person whom was injected with a unique kind of nanotechnology which transformed my body as best as it could. They are like little robots with a can-do attiude. It wasn't my choice, I wasn't able to communicate or be a part of the world before, but it isn't right to alter people without their permission either. I couldn't consent..but well. I'm the me that I ended up being. I'm still human..a little. About 20 percent..My nanotechology's goal is to make me as human as possible to retain my humanity. I lost a lot being a hero. A whole lot. The heat of a weapon fried my brain. You could say it cooked it, and my face, and my arm melted off, and well..I effectively died, but was able to come back with a lot of effort. But it cost a lot. So..I'm not sure if that makes me a robot or not. But...does that answer your question?" She looks curious after she explains, calmly and somewhat upbeatedly.

Marvel Girl has posed:
Rachel listens...but it's just as obvious that she's not necessarily really /hearing/. She shakes just a little, and is exhibiting some of the classic symptoms of PTSD. "I...I gotta go. Sorry." And with that, the redhead turns and walks-so-fast-it's-almost-a-run for the door.

Saoirse Flynn has posed:
Saoirse holds out a finger "Wait, you didn't pay for your donut! Wait, that's stealing! You can't do that!" The worker at the counter grabs her shoulder "It's alright Sao, just let 'er go. Here, I'll give you another donut okay?" Saoirse brightens "Oh, really? Well..okay, if your sure..." Saoirse's companion comes out of the bathroom and eyeballs Saoirse. "Sao...what did you do /this/ time?"
