Cast of Characters: Buffy Summers, Angel

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers had grown increasingly worried about Fred's condition which didnt seem to be improving, and with Willow suddenly out of the picture again, she was determined to figure out what had happened to Angel. So here she is, looking for Angel, hoping to set things right in spite of their rather awkward history. "Hello? Angel, are you here?" she steps in, peering around.

Angel has posed:
Angel was in his room when something...something. Hearing her voice made Angel sit up straight at this desk. Halfway through a book, Angel drops it, and perhaps a bit too quickly, moves through the door to his room, and onto the upper level of the Hyperion.

Looking down at the main entryway, Angel almost smiles. Almost. "Buffy. It's...good to see you. Is everything okay? I wasn't expecting to see you tonight." Angel starts to move down the circular stairs, towards where Buffy was standing.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers draws a breath as she sees him. Their history was complicated at best, but she hadn't seen him in a while, and to be honest she had kinda missed him.."Angel. It's been a while..How have you been?" her smile is reserved, struggling to relax, to pretend like things weren't so bad between them but.."Guess I was just in the neighbourhood.." she laughs a bit at The overused excuse, the excuse she always uses when she drops by to see him. "Everything is fine, although I am a bit worried about Fred.."

Angel has posed:
Complicated it was. His eyes look into her eyes, and then away. There was this bond, that was always there, memories of a past. He missed her too. "Hrm." Angel says, almost under his breath. He was sure her Slayer senses picked it up, but he did it anyway. "I've...been good. You?"

Angel rubs the back of his neck with his right hand, almost subconsciously. "Been getting the Hotel up and running again. Trying to help people. It's hard."

Angel didn't need to tell her that. When she says "just in the neighbourhood" Angel actually smiles. A real one. Hold the press! "Oh. Glad you were passing by..." Angel then looks serious. "Fred? What's wrong with Fred?" That got his attention.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers sighs, taking a seat at the bar. She's wearing an unusual looking bracelet, looks more like a magic charm than a piece of jewelry really. "I'm alright, Angel.." she pauses a moment, gazing into his eyes briefly, her expression softening before she looks away. "You seem...Less Emo today.." she laughs again, "guess we haven't been on the best of terms lately, but it's good to see you again. The Hyperion has been pretty quiet, Fred's been feeling abandoned, you know how she is." Buffy shrugs, "Brought her to stay with Willow and me for a bit. After all the trouble she's managed to get into lately, I dunno..But she and Wils really pulled it from, before Willow just..Vanished again. dunno how to help her, but me being with..." she draws a deep breath, maybe best not to go there. "Well I'm glad you're back, she trusts you.."

Angel has posed:
As Buffy takes a seat at the bar, Angel silently moves behind the bar, and leans over, far enough away from Buffy so as to not make this more uncomfortable. His eyes glance over the bracelet, but as far as he could tell, he hadn't seen it before. "I'm...glad. You are ok." Angel clears his throat and straightens up. "Less EMO. That is...good right?" Angel frowns, and his face makes a funny expression as he tries to figure out what that meant.

"I'm sorry we haven't been on good terms. Going evil tends to do that to a relationship." The guilt was all over his face. A lot had happened between them that couldn't be hand waved away.

"Yeah. I've been away. Stuff." That was vague. "I'm sorry I left Fred on her own. And the others. It wasn't an easy decision to make. Believe me. Thank you for taking her in. That means a lot."

Angel frowns, and pulls a bottle of whiskey and two glasses from under the bar. "Never seen this before..." A slight smile. "Want a drink?" Angel tries to ignore the "being with". After all, his senses picked up something. That he didn't like. "Maybe she shouldn't. Trust me." There it was the darkness again.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers sighs, shaking her head, "It's been a crazy few months, been working a lot with Harry Dresden and his...Friends.." she leaves that part vague, her smile fading a little at that 'relationship' and 'evil' part. "I'm sorry, maybe I didn't try hard enough. Fred kept trying to push us together, made me feel terrible that I hadn't tried harder to find a way to break the curse, you know, without...Consequences.." she hangs her head, toying with the bracelet on her wrist. "Willow made it for me, made one for Fred too. Said it'd help her. Me? Just wanted to test a theory.."she chuckles. "I'm sorry.." she says again as if she felt terribly guilty about something. "You're not a bad person Angel, and she should trust you, we all should. Guess it's just me..I shouldn't..Be here.." she eyes the whiskey and eyes the door. She really shouldn't be here, it hurts seeing him, wanting him, letting him down. Buffy's never felt so torn..

Angel has posed:
"Harry! That is great. I was working with him a few months ago on a case as well, and he was a big help. Glad to see he is still hanging around." Angel doesn't pry to far into the friends comment, not wanting to push things. "Yeah....Angel says, "It's ok Buffy. I understand. There are always consequences. No matter what we do to try and stop them."

Angel's eyes move over to the bracelet again, letting Buffy talk. Slipping into his quiet, brooding, "listener" guise. "Glad to hear Willow is getting good at this stuff." Angel nods towards the bracelet. "Can always use a good mage to help out."

Angel puts the whiskey back under the bar, unopened. "I think that your instincts are right. You shouldn't trust me. I did awful things Buffy. Terrible things. You never have to say sorry to me. Or feel guilty. You should do what makes you happy." Angel weakly smiles. "You have to go. It's ok. Go. We can talk more later." Angel smiles, a real one this time. "And thank you for coming. It means a lot."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers shakes her head, forcing a smile, reaching for the glass. "Come on Ange, enough with the griping and whining. We both have to move on, get on with our lives. Doesn't mean we can't...Be friends, or trust each other. So what, you got a big evil demon in your head, well we haven't find a cure yet but doesn't mean we should stop looking!" she still smiles, hers a bit more genuine now. Heck she's been through a lot, and not about to lose another person she cares about. "Cmon, hit me up, I could do with a good stiff drink."

Angel has posed:
Angel looks at Buffy for a few seconds, truly looks at her. With a silent nod, he uncorks the whiskey, and pours each of them a glass. "Well, since you put it that way, here you go!" Angel raises his glass, and says, "To friendship! May we always keep looking out for each other, even in the darkest night!" Offering his glass for a "clink" Angel waits, and then drinks the whole thing. "I'm glad you came Buffy. Thank you!"

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers smirks and shrugs, wondering how he'd feel knowing that she just hooked up with another vamp who may be just as bad for her. "Heh, I'll always be your friend, Angel..To our friendship then..No matter what happens, you should know that I've got your back. Always..."
