Midnight Pancakes

Synopsis:	Jessica Cruz and Joseph Miller meet at a diner and talk over food.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Phew, what a week. After flying all over Sector 2814, Jessica has finally got to return home - barely having a chance to eat with all the craziness going on in SPACE, she settles down at a local diner in Mutant Town. She is wearing a simple gray dress and is eagerly anticipating a huge stack of heavenly pancakes.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller comes walking into the dinner. He has been working in the area for a while and comes to the dinner semi regularly. He walks in and is heading for the counter. He has a seat, not to far from the lady and orders a drink, and two double bacon cheese burgers and double orders of french fries.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz's ring chirps a moment as it detects an alien person. She has it set to notify her on any non-human on Earth. You can never tell these days. She keeps an eye on Joseph as he does a crazy order. Maybe someone else is coming? Her short stack shows up and she takes a big bite and sighs happily.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller smiles a bit and thanks the woman with his drink, and sips it. He looks over at the beep but not seeing whos phone it was shrugs.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz glances over at you, smiling. "Care to join me? I haven't had a chance to talk to a decent person in a while." She gestures to the table by her. "I was on duty for a while... it's finally nice to get some time off."

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller shrugs and says "Sure." He will grab his drink and walk over to have a seat and says "Hello, I'm Joe, and what type of Duty if I may ask."

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz states, "Jessica. I'm..." She hesitates. "A police officer." It's not entirely wrong. "Off-duty for now. But it's been a crazy week." She smiles faintly. "Don't worry... I know how tis place it. It's out of my jurisdiction."

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller says, "This place is a pretty good place, I come here for diner alot. I work down the street as my girl friends garage and at the docks on an occasion."

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods slowly. "Yes - but some consider this a slum. Mutant Town isn't the nicest of places - but it's no Bludhaven." She shrugs as she takes naother bite of her pancakes, just as your double-size order shows up. "Hungry much?" she asks.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller smiles a bit and says "Well when your my size you go through a decent amount of energy in a day. I can go through enough food to feed a small army if I have been working alot. Mutant town aint to bad, is more people trying to find a place where they can be themselves without being judged.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods. "Yes. It's a decent place to live," she muses, clicking her tongue. "It's a pity that humans are so scared of mutants. Of wat they don't undrestand. But I'm not like that. I've done things and seen things that I can't even describe." She sighs softly. "Sorry - that was... I'm not supposed to talk about my day job."

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller 's brow raises a bit at the last bit but says "Yea it can be odd, there are plenty of people to dislike because of what they do, not to have to hate people because of what they are." He admits.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles. "Exactly. Disliking someone for their actions is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes warranted. Disliking someone just due to what they are... that's just foul." She shrugs. "Be they mutant... alien... or simply a different race. Only a bunch of poozers would do that."

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller nods his head a bit to this and says "Yea, I am a mutant, one of the lucky ones I guess as people don't know I am for sure. I could pass as just a big guy, but can juggle cars pretty easily.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods slowly. "I am a regular human... but I have powers from... an external source." She smiles faintly. "So I feel safe wherever I go." She doesn't specify furthre as she takes another good bite of pancakes.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller nods, and says "I think more people who have powers come out this way to find a place where they feel they fit in a bit more.
